Chapter 37: There was only one who kind to me....

Everyone, they cause me pain,

they don't care how I feel,

they don't even care!

Everyday it's the same thing,

they make me suffer, make me cry.

I hate them, I hate them all!!!

I wish....I wish that they would all die!!

Everyone....They are all the same,

they only care for themselves,

not for anyone else....just themselves.

How can I get the pain to stop?

Everyone....everyone causes me pain,

So, perhaps the best way to end my pain,

is just destroy everybody.....

I try to reason with them,

but they never understand....they don't' want to.

No matter what I say or do, they take it the wrong way.

They don't know me, they don't want to know me.

They wouldn't care if I killed myself,

But no, I wont do that, it would make them too happy...

No! I think I'll kill them instead!! Ha, Ha, ha!!!

Why should I care if everyone dies?

They don't care about me....no one does...

all they do is harm me....never thinking twice,

never thinking about the pain it causes me...

It's always like this....

First comes misunderstanding,

next comes blame,

then comes the name-calling,

followed by mockery...then finally....

Pain......

Why....Why wont they let the pain stop?

Why......? Why wont my pain end?

Will it ever end? God...please,

Let my pain end.....someday....

But then again, you don't care do you?

You don't care about my pain....

the only one, who was ever kind to me.

while I hate everyone else in this world,

Koh closed his journal, and tucked his pen away into his coat pocket, he looked around himself, at all the people busy in the huge building, their eyes cut threw his soul, tormenting him. These were the adults whom were the kids who mocked him, these were the children of those who teased him, they would all die. Grinning he reached into his pocket, placing something behind a bench. A young woman saw him but said nothing, however watch him curiosity. After a moment he left and she blinked confused

`Was that Koh...?' She turned to the bench and her eyes widened, she turned back to the door in terror and saw him standing threw the glass doors, smiling as he raised a dentition switch to a bomb.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" She screamed, in horror, being last thing heard before the whole building was engulfed by flames.

Koh summoned a pair of great black wings and flew to the top of another building where he could watch the Magention of the people raise into the sky, being sucked into Angeles machines. It looked like small dots of green energy, raising into the air. Reaching out he grabbed one, squeezing it, destroying it. He stared at his hand, covered in the glowing green of a person's Magention.

`This will we the first of many lives sacrificed to you and Oisa, Saiyoua. It's a good thing you both have large appetites for people's life force for I would hate to over feed you.'

He threw his head back, laughing insanely to the sky.

A girl with brown hair and eyes ran towards the fiery building, mouth dropping open in horror.

"Who is doing these horrible things!? All these people, I wont forgive it!"

It had been a few weeks since the death of Kim and Amy and the group was soon to Angeles, infact this was the last town they would stop in. The group had recovered well, and was not attacked for quite awhile. Ryan, glanced at Alex, who behind his normally emotionless eyes, their seemed to be a feeling of dread. Confused Ryan frowned in thought, before his eyes snapped open wide in shock as he remembered.

"Hey, Alex, are you going to be ok coming hear?"

"....." Alex glanced at him then turned away sourly.

"Alex?"

"I'll be fine."

The rest of the group blinked confused, and hunched their shoulders, knowing that it would be useless to ask, it was after all Alex they were dealing with. Only Ryan knew because he was the only one to hear Alex's story, and knew this was his home town.

The towns name was Anglican a normally peaceful little town outside of the big city. A crisp winters snow had began to fall, covering the ground like icing on a cake. But the beauty was taken away by the horrific sean of a huge collapsed building, bodies still being pulled out from under the debris.

"What happened hear!?" Genki gasped, eyes going huge.

"How horrible..." Mimi trembled.

"I'm scared...." The elf whimpered. "What made this building fall?"

Colt looked away. " All those poor people...."

"Oh my god, I must be seeing things, Is that, Ruto?" Mara blinked, sounding confused. The group followed her gaze, and gasped. A girl who did indeed look a great deal like Ruto was kneeling down helping some people at the crime sean. She had long brown hair, some of it was dyed with golden streaks, she had the same face almost except it was dotted with a few freckles and he eyes were brown instead of Ruto's beautiful ocean colored eyes, but besides that, they were identical. She was wearing an short pink top, with golden trim around the edges, her tight pink skirt had an golden rose on it. Around her waist she wore an pink cape, a pair of white angel wings on the back of it. On the ground next to her was a golden rod, which shimmered brightly in the sun. She turned towards them, her eyes went wide and she quickly got to her feet and began running towards them.

"I can't believe it's you, it couldn't be after all this time!! Alex!! Alex, you came back!!" She rushed into his arms, catching him by surpise and holding him close.

"S...Samantha...." Alex stuttered.

She pulled away frowning before slapping him across the face. "YOU JERK!!! WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG TO COME BACK!?!?!"

"...."

"Don't you know how long I searched for you?" She asked, eyes turning teary. " I searched forever...as far as I could walk but I could never find you, Where were you?"

"Angelo..."

"Angelo!? But...hey, Alex, why didn't you ever contact me...wasn't I important enough?" She asked sadly.

"I had to concentrate on my mission."

Samantha stared at him in shock before sputtering. " INJUSTICE!!! HOW...HOW COULD YOU!? I COULD HAVE HELPED YOU, YOU KNOW!?"

"I didn't need the help of any onna..."

"INJUSTICE!! INJUSTICE!!! INJUSTICE!!! INJUSTICE!!!!" She screamed, whacking him over the head repeatedly with her rod.

"...H...hey, stop that!" Alex tried to shield himself from the onslaught.

The group just watched in shock, mouths almost touching the ground. They never thought they would see the day, Alex would cower from a girl, and they never thought that girl would be as justice crazy as him.

`So that is why Alex was so protective of Ruto, it was not because he loved Ruto, but because he loved Samantha who looks and even acts just like her...' Ryan realized.

"Hey, Alex, who is she? She looks allot like Maya doesn't she?" Lemon asked cheerfully, laughing at him.

"Mally, if you don't stop laughing I am going to rip your voice box out!" Alex snarled.

"INJUSTICE!!!!!!!!!" Samantha screamed. " Maya!? Another girl Alex!? YOU...YOU...YOU....YOU....YOU....."

"It's not that! She was the one I was assigned to look after." Alex frowned.

"YEAH RIGHT!!"

"Mally, you got me into this, explain."

Lemon sighed. "Heh-heh, Um, hi, miss, uh...well, There was nothing between Alex and Maya....um, or you'd no her better as Princess Marie-Maya of Angelo? I was just saying that the princess looks just like you, and, that was probably the reason why Alex was so protective of her because she probably reminded him of you and...."

"That's enough, Mally." Alex growled warningly.

Samantha understood what Lemon was saying and blushed. "Oh so, Serge kidnapped you to watch the princess and you protected her because she reminded you of me? OH THAT'S SO SWEET ALEX!!!" The girl threw her arms around him, happily.

The whole group just continued to stare in disbelief.

"Come to my house, all of you! We have SO much catching up Alex!!"

The group followed her unaware they were being watched. Koh stared almost in a dream, before smiling.

"Alex, you've come back....I knew you would."

" Yeah, and so that is what's going on." Samantha explained, swallowing another mouthful of bear. " Some sick bastard keeps on going around killing people. I always arrive at the sean to late to catch him, or her. I think it's much more then pointless mssacre."

"Could it be one of Taromecika's henchmen?" Carrie questioned.

"It could be." Ryan frowned. " Samantha, you said you were a fallen angel, so you must know something about the goddess..."

"The goddess combined using the goddess stone which came from the life stream Messiha watched over, Cid reborn the goddess, and she became the princess Marie-Maya...A child with both the souls of Key and Saiyoua, but yet possessed of yet a third soul, whom of which I know not. I was an angel of Messiha, I fell for I brought someone from the life stream back to life....even though it was something she wished to do herself, I sinned by doing so."

"Who was it you brought back to life?" Mimi asked, curious.

"Cid. He took the goddess stone and used it to save the goddesses. Messiha disappeared when the stone was removed, and I became angry not liking the wars going on in name of religion, I came to this earth to try and end religion, but found myself playing super hero instead, saving these people from their own self made accidents. I failed in what I came to do, but some how I am not to sad, because if I did destory all region then no one would have anything to believe in. It's hard to explain, but some people just need someone to blame and praise or else they wither up and die like a flower in the snow."

She sighed, an sad look forming in her eyes.

"Everyone in this village has become such good friends of mine, I love each of them with all my heart, and every day more and more gets killed and I can't do anything about it..."

"It has to be the work of Taromecika and Saiyoua, and I wont let them go around destroying people, we will help you catch this person." Ryan vowed, the rest of the group agreed whole hearted except for Alex who had yet to say an word.

"Thanks, you really would do that for me?" Samantha asked in disbelief.

"Of course we will!" Genki grinned.

"We can't stand by and watch as people are killed." Mimi smiled.

"I had enough with Taromecika and Saiyoua slaughtering innocent people."

"Same as Carrie, I can't stand to see people who can't defend themselves get slaughtered." Colt agreed.

" Yeah, lets stop this person, maybe we all might become heroes, eh?" Mara giggled.

Alex got up, slamming his hands on the table startling everyone as he did so. " Such foolishness! We can't waist time with this insignificant dump, Angeles is close and so is the goal of completing mine and your missions. If you want to stay hear and play super hero for a back water little village then go right a head, I am continuing onto Angeles.

The group watched in complete shock as Alex left the house with out another word, Samantha looked like a rabbit confused and caught in the head lights as a truck came speeding towards it. She snapped out of her shock quickly enough and dashed towards the door, swinging it open and running outside.

The night air was crisp and cold, the snow shimmering down in thin blankets. She dashed towards Alex's retreating figure, and placing an hand forcefully on his shoulder she made him turn around.

" What are you saying?" She sounded hurt. " Alex, you don't mean it...your not going to turning your back on your home....and me...are....are you?'

"........."

"I don't know about you, but that kiss we shared so many years ago....it still means a lot to me. After all this time I still love you, I never gave my heart to anyone else, waiting for the day that you would return. Tell me Alex, do you still love me....or has the feelings you had for me faded away?"

"...." Alex finally met her eyes, and spoke as cold as the snow and ice it's self. " Feelings are of no use to me. I have forgotten them a long time ago. The only thing that I care about now is completing my mission. I don't care about this town, these people, my past, do you understand? I don't give a damn about anything or anyone and that includes you."

Samantha could feel her heart break and tears flooded into her eyes instantly, with an howl of pain she sent a slap to Alex's face, staring into his eyes with a expression of agony, and heartbreak, mixed in with an unimaginable anger.

" ALL THESE YEARS I SEARCHED FOR YOU, PRAYING AND HOPEING YOU WERE ALL RIGHT. I TRAVELED ALL OVER, THROUGH DESSERTS, WADDING THROUGH WATER, SEARCHING THE DEEPEST OCEANS, BUT I COULD NEVER FIND YOU, AND NOW YEARS LATER YOU RETURN TO ME, BUT YOU AREN'T ALEX...THE LITTLE BOY WHO WAS SO KIND...INSTEAD YOU HAVE BECOME A COLD AND UNFEELING MONSTER...LIKE A MACHINE!!!!" She sobbed voice quitting. " Tell me...is there any of that boy that I loved left?"

"Alex Emilo died a long time ago, there is none of him left, get that threw you head already, and leave me alone, woman."

Samantha fell onto her knees into the snow with a sob as she watched Alex turn his back and walk away, he glanced back once, an strange look distant yet pained in his eyes, before turning around again and walking away. The group came running out into the snow, and crowded around her, all saying things at once, but all she answered to the many questions was a sob

"What could have happened to make him change so much?"

While the rest of the group tried to over consonance to the sobbing angel, Ryan turned his head in the direction Alex had vanished in, an sad look spreading across his face.

` That look in his eyes...I saw it somewhere before...'

"Don't say that!" Ryan exclaimed. " Caring for people is not a weakness it's a power! An strength! Don't you understand!?"

"......" An strange look appeared in the soldiers eyes, it was distant and pained. " If caring for others is power then why did it make me so weak."

`That look in his eyes...what kind of expression is that?' "Alex..."

`What does it mean? That look in your eyes....' Ryan turned to his friends who were still comforting Samantha.

"Guys, I'm going to go check on Alex."

"Ryan, I'll come with you, maybe when can talk some sense into him." Lemon said without an hint of his usual cheerfulness.

"It's worth a shot, we'll be back soon ok?"

"Alright, Rya, I hope that somehow you can get that pig head to listen to you, be careful."

Samantha could hear as the demon and the Dampire went off to find Alex, their foots steps crunching on the stone. Still she sobbed, her tears hitting to the ground and turning into ice.

"...Alex....why? Why did you become so much like...." She looked up into the sky, face stained with tears. " The snow...? Coldness and cruel hidden behind an illusion of beauty. Please go back to being that warm hearted boy I use to love."

Alex walked down the street, hands in his pockets, until he came to a bridge. The pained look flashed in his eyes again...the bridge on which he and Samantha had kissed and where he and Koh use to play. An cold wind blew and dispite himself his body shivered. Suddenly he felt something warm droop over his shoulders, he blinked confused and turning around and looking at himself he saw that a fur cloak had been drooped over his shoulders. Looking forward he saw a boy, a foot or so shorter then him, with sliver hair and light blue eyes smiling at him.

"I couldn't let you freeze, not when you took care of me so well when we were young."

"Koh...." The soldier's eyes widened.

"It's been a long time Alex..."

"It has."

"My friend...it's been to long. Forgive me, but I over heard what happened between you and Samantha, the woman was shouting so loud it was hard not to...Your right in not letting her control you, you probably have important things to do, but...please tell me, it's not true that you don't care about anyone anymore, because if so...it would hurt me very much."

"Koh....damn my weakness, but I can't forget about all my feelings, I do still care for you....and Samantha. But I can't let such things interrupt me from completing my mission. You understand me, right?"

Koh smiled warmly. "Of course. I know what you've gone threw must have been difficult...but Alex, lesson to me, such like I was, you were misused and tormented as well, I understand you better then anyone and that includes Samantha. Alex, why don't we take revenge on those who harmed us?"

"....Koh..."

"My life was nothing but suffering...Everyone treated me as cold and as cruel as this bitter fall snow. Everyone, except for you, Alex."

The solider backed up slightly as Koh wrapped him arms around his waist affectionately. "I'd like to thank you Alex...I don't think I would still be around if it wasn't for you, my dearest friend." Koh raised his head to look into the others eyes and frowned.

"When I look into you eyes I can see my same pain reflected in them...the pain of torment, and agony that others engrave onto the heart. I can't stand the thought of others causing you of all people the pain they caused me. Alex, lets work together and get revenge on them."

"Koh...." Alex looked at the ground, before looking back into the younger man's eyes. " Your right, in past I did hurt lot."

FLASH

"PLEASE, SERGE, STOP IT!!!" A younger Alex sobbed. "I can't take it anymore...it hurts....please stop it...."

The old man growled, slapping him across the face. " SHUT UP!! DON'T BE SO WEAK!! YOU MUST BE COME STRONG, AND STRONG MEN DO NOT CRY, DO YOU UNDERSTAND!? THE WEAK ONLY END UP DEAD!!"

"...Yes sir..."

"Then join me Alex, we can take revenge together!"

Ryan and Lemon choose that moment to walk onto the bridge, both boys blinked watching Alex and Koh as the pair twisted around to look at them. The solider sighed bitterly.

"What do you two want?"

"Alex what happened back there? I know your not the gentlest of people but you acted really heartless." Ryan frowned sadly and worriedly.

"Samantha was crying so bad...Alex, I know your not really a bad person inside...Maya knew it to, she would never had given you the orb of kindness if you were. Please come back with us and apologize to her..." Lemon tried to convince, his voice broke off however and he blanched almost in fright as he spotted Koh, however no one noticed the terrified expression on his face.

"I don't need your suggestions, leave me alone."

"Alex." Ryan's voice came out surprisingly sharp. " Is it really that you don't care about this town, or is it because you can't stand being in the place where all your pain started?"

"..........."

"Going to run off to Angeles, to a place where you probably will end up killed? What'll be the point to that? Think about it, stay with us, and we will go and defeat Taromecika and Saiyoua together."

".........." The solider turned away, not meeting the other mans eyes stubbornly.

"Oh I get it." Ryan's voice became harsh. " You never struck me as being a coward, Alex."

".....Koh." Alex turned to his child hood friend. " Do not seek revenge, it will end up destroying you."

"Alex..."

"Koh, I promise that if I'm alive at the end of my mission I will come back to you and Samantha. In the mean time, try and push your bitterness aside. You don't want to end up like me."

"But Alex!" Koh protested as the solider turned away from him, and left silently with Ryan and Lemon. The sliver hair boy bit his lip, a hurt look in his eyes.

"If those two hadn't shown up then Alex would have stayed with me...I don't think I like those two very much! I will kill them, then Alex will come back and lesson to me, instead of them...." He raised his hand into the air. " I summon the devils to arise! Devils who roam the earth, answer me and destory! Leonuss, come!!"

An dark shadow flickered in the air, and took on the form of an large golden lion with three heads and ruby eyes appeared, landing on four large feet on the ground, which caused the earth to tremble under it's weight.

"Leonuss, go and destory them, but make sure Alex does not suffer even the slightest wound. Do you understand?"

The beast roared once in reply before disappearing across the bridge and into the grove of tress, searching for it's pray.

Lucifer grinned watching threw an magic mirror the ongoings. "My little blondie, did you think you could hide from me?" he watched Lemon, an sadistic smirk spreading across his face.

"Your soul was sacrificed to me a long time ago. You can't escape the darkness within your soul forever, even though you think you moved on. Now come on, awaken and come carry out your mission in which you have failed!! Destroy those who threaten to end the darkness! Do it now!!"

Though he wondered, Ryan knew better then to ask Alex what made him change his mind. Instead he turned to Lemon whose face was pale, and saying that a Dampire was pale was something. Not only that but an troubled look was concealed in his eyes, at closer expression he spotted that the boys hands were trembling.

"Lemon? What's wrong with you, are you cold?"

".....This feeling....this corrupted sense in the air." The boy stopped walking, making Alex and Ryan turn and stare at him. The violet eyes twinkled in fear.

"Mally? What's wrong with you?"

The Dampire cried out falling on his knees with an heavy sob, gripping his head with his hands.

The other two men landed on their knees next to him, one worried and the other slightly shaken.

"It hurts....this feeling it's the same....dark feeling...I feel like I'm burning...!" He whimpered, The two men back away from him frightened as Lemon's form starting shifting between his true form, and his devil form.

"Le...LEMON!" Ryan stuttered, backing away eyes wide with shock and horror.

"Mally what is happening with you!?"

"ARGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!" The boy cried out. "LEAVE ME ALONE!! I DON'T...I DON'T WANT TO....NO..." He seemed to battled with something within himself, before he sobbed, tears running down his face. " I don't want to kill again...I don't want to...please just leave me be."

He looked pitfall just laying in the snow crying, his hair has turn back into winter white, and his wings the same terrible black and red instead of sliver, an black forked tail lashed back and forth.

"LEMON!!" Ryan cried out, landing on his knees infront of the boy, gripping his shoulders, making him look up at him. The violet eyes were rimmed with red and already puffy from the tears, the face was still Lemon's, young and sweet, yet sorrowful. The boy almost began to relax but then his eyes widend in shock and horror as though he suddenly saw something that frightend him.

"Ryan! No stay away!" Lemon gasped, shoving the demon-half to the ground.

"Mally, what are you doing!?" Alex demanded with an roar.

"I'm sorry...but I can feel my self control slipping...guys I have no wish to harm you...so I must go...if I can't over come this darkness, then goodbye....I should...have known...I couldn't run from...it forever!" His voice was pained as he panted for breath. " Guys...I must go...before I kill you...like I killed...ACK!" he cried gripping his head. " Tell Squall I'm sorry and that I love him, take care of...Pan...for me...please."

The two boys called out as Lemon unfolded his wings and took to the sky, disappearing into the night. They did not have to long to worry or react before an loud growl arose behind them, and they twisted around to see Leonuss approaching from behind. They both gasped, taking up fighting positions. Quickly Ryan pulled out his T.P.R.A. and pointed it at the snarling beast.

LEONUSS: An lesser devil of Lucifer, guards the gates of hell. Such a beast has never been seen on Gaia and only heard of by occult scholars. Ways of destroying it are unknown.

"Ryan, get ready to fight, this going to be an tuff battle!"

The demon half pulled out his sword, prepared to slice and dice, as Alex aimed his gun striking the beast six times. Taken advantage of the wounds Ryan rushed forward prepared to cut the creature in half, but in his haste failed to see the bullet holes closeing together.

"RYAN, STOP!!" Alex warned, but the warning came to late and Ryan was slashed across the chest with huge and powerful claws, almost disemboweling him. He laid on the snow, drenching it red as blood poured from the wound, his eyes were misty and almost as though in an trance, growing duller by the moment.

"No..."

"AHHH!!" A attack cry sounded from over head, and an large dome of energy surrounded Leonuss almost like an cage.

"Lemon?" Alex spotted the devil changed Dampire, whom panted in the sky, clutching his head with one hand.

"Alex, the shield wont last long, get Ryan and run back to the others...." He hissed dangerously and very un-lemon like.

"Not without you Mally."

"Alex, there is much I lied to the group about, the darkness the once claimed me...is trying to..claime me again...and I don't want to hurt any of you...but right now I'm barely able to stop myself from killing you. NOW GO, BEFORE THIS FORCE GETS TO POWERFUL FOR ME TO CONTAIN!!"

"Mally."

"I'll...I'll meat up with you in Angeles, if I can regain control of myself...if I can't...I'll kill myself before I harm any of you guys..SO GO!!"

"Ok Mally, thanks."

Lemon watched as Alex picked up the almost fainted Ryan and began helping him back towards Samantha's house. Tears came to his eyes, and he looked away.

"Father, damn you this curse....it is all your fault...I'll...I'll never forgive you for this...not ever. Squall, Pan I hope I can return to you and that you will still accept me when you find out all my lies."

"Lucifer!" Koh snarled walking into his little shack of an house on the edge of town.

"What?" The devil king questioned.

"How dare you interfere! The demon-half and that little blond wimp would have been killed and Alex would have come back to me if you didn't go and corrupt that Dampire! Why make him an devil anyway!?"

"He is my property, his purpose is to serve the darkness and help Oisa be summoned in anyway possible. He forgot that mission long ago. He served it but when Cid and his group arrived, lots of his darkness faded, until after it faded entirely when he met Marie-Maya, then after that, Taromecika requested for Lemon to be brought back under the control of the darkness, and with his hands stained by blood he stayed hear and was loyal to Lounaru out of guilt for his sin, but then he breaks free again, but this time he wont. He is mine forever."

"Hmmm, well whatever, just don't interfere with my plans again. I'm the devil summoner so therefore you are my slave, understand!? You do what I say!"

"As you wish, Koh. It wont happen again."

"Good, I am going out."

Lucifer waited until the boy was gone and grinned. " Aww, Koh, your an legend in your own mind."

The whole group gasped in horror and shock as Alex slammed open the door, holding an fainted and bleeding Ryan in his arms.

"RYA!!!" Mara screeched dashing forward.

"Oh my god..." Samantha put her hand to he mouth alarmed, eyes going wide. "What happened!?"

"We...were attack by an Devil, Leonuss..." Alex panted, handing Ryan to Genki whom laid him gently down on the couch, him and Mimi checking wound out worriedly.

"Alex, where is Lemon!" Squall gasped looking around wildly for the other boy. "Where is he!?"

"...Mally...he's gone..."

"What!? Lemon!!" Colt sobbed. " He can't be dead!"

Squall's face turned a deathly white. "Lemon...N...no...YOU LEFT HIM!?! WHERE IS HE!?!?"

"WHAT IS THAT!?" Carrie suddenly screeched, pointing threw the window at an beast which dashed towards them down the hill snarling.

"Leonuss, it must of broke free from Mally's spell."

"Mally's spell? Lemon's still alive then!?" Squall gasped relieved, but still panicked.

"YES, HE IS! BUT WE WONT BE IF WE DON'T DO SOMETHING QUICK!!" Alex snapped.

"Miss.Lima!!" Colt shouted, and the group turned to look in time to see Lima run outside, her staff held thightly in her hands.

"LIMA!!!" Everyone cried, running outside after her.

Fifteen minuets after the group left, Lima and Samantha made their move and quickly left the house, hurrying towards the safety of the cellar. The night had grown colder then before, and darker as well. Still finding the house was not a problem for Samantha had visited everyday and could find it with her eyes closed.

"Mara, see if some how you can stop Samantha's flow of Magention...more of it's still seeping out of her body, that is why this beast stays so strong."

Maybe I can't understand just what it is like to be teased, to be the out cast, I know it must be horrible, and I know it must fill you with hate. "Ruto, was that you?' the cat wondered looking around herself, blinking in confusion, before turning back to Koh. " Fine, what are you planning to do?! You can't revive the dead!"

The girl gasped putting her hand to her mouth alarmed.

Koh closed his eyes, standing over the body of Samantha, concentrating on his life energy, and began to glow an bright green, as did the circle Samantha laid in.

Alex's eyes opened, and he gazed up at the sky from where he laid collapsed on the ground, he had transformed back to his normal form, from the fact he did not have enough strength to stay powered up. The sky was pitch black and glittering with stars, and raining with snow. However the vision of beauty was replaced by the vision of Koh, taking one last look at the sky whispering his name, before disappearing into thin air.

Mara stared shocked as Koh fell dead on top of Samantha whom slowly began to move underneath him, her wound closeing up and the flow of Magention stopping.

"Uh..." She groaned, but did not open her eyes. The wound was closed up, but she was far from well and would die again if she did not get medical help soon. Mara pulled her out from underneath the dead body of Koh and held her in her arms protectively, staring up at Lucifer whom angered by his lost of his power source was coming towards them, looking to gain it back.

"No, stop!" Alex exclaimed, getting back on to shaky legs. "It's not over yet." and with that he transformed again ready to fight, hopefully Koh's sacrifice wouldn't be in vain.

Ryan slid to the floor on he knees, shaking with anger, anger at himself. He could feel his friends pain, he could feel there hopeless situation yet hear he was just watching....he was to damn weak to do anything. He was always weak when it came to flesh, but he never thought it would prove to be such an agonizing problem. Lima had awakened also, but was to weak to even get out of bed, she had an clear view of the window though where they could see the light of there friends attacks and the attacks of their enemy flash in the sky.

"DAMN IT!! What kind of guardian of the light am I? All I can do is sit back and watch as everyone dies...fuck, I am an weakling, and fucking weak coward!"

"I just wish there was something...anything I could do right now...but, Dammit, Squall was right, I am still to injured to do anything but....I CAN LET MY FRIENDS BE DEFEATED!!! I CAN'T!!!"

The only thing keeping Alex on his feet was shear will power as he charged up a ball of pure blue energy, how? It was also the product of shear will power, but no matter how determent he was the little power he had would not defeat Lucifer. He couldn't do it. He was about to attack with what little power he had inspite of that so he could at least do some damage before he died but was stopped as an gold and red light joined his energy ball, making it bigger and brighter, but still not powerful enough

Alex, for once accept help, accept all of our help

"You can do it..." Carrie cheered weakly, allowing an white light to leave her body.

The light gathered together, creating an huge ball of power, Lucifer stepped back afraid.

Samantha had recovered at the hospital, an few days had gone by but they did not mind waiting for her recovery. Lucifer had been destroyed in the blast, nothing else had been killed by it, surprising enough, but then again miracles did happen. Alex had gone back to being his quite and expressionless self, it was to much of an habit to break, not that he wanted to break it for it had been a part of him to long. But still, right now Alex stood infront of an small grave, underneath the bridge, Koh's grave.

FLASH BACK

Alex approached Koh's body after the battle, it laid on the floor bleeding and discarded, very pitfall looking, he stared at it, feeling the same sorrow he had when James had died, but knew that he couldn't loose control of himself, but still he dropped down beside the boy, cradling him in his arms, stroking back his bangs. His skin was cold and dead. He closed his eyes as if stuggling to hold something back, opeing them to reveal the strange and sad expression he shook his head, tenderly brushing Koh's bangs away from his eyes.

"When I left I promised I would come back and take care of both you and Samantha, only, it really didn't turn out that way in the end..."

I hated everyone on Gaia, they all were so rotten to me,

I swore that some day I would get rid of them all,

and the only way to do that would be to destory everyone,

but I never wanted you to get hurt, Alex.

"Alex..."

The solider turned around gazeing Samantha whom stood behind him a rose in her hand which she gently laid on the grave.

"Your friends are waiting for you at the exit. It...it was nice seeing you again."

"Samantha, about what I said before..."

"It's all right, I know you didn't mean all those harsh things you said. I understand the pain you've been through, I can see it by looking into your eyes. Alex, promise you will come back."

"If I can, I will."

She nodded her head in understanding. " And if you can't come back to us then we'll come to you."

"Samantha...." The pained look flashed in his eyes again but vanished instantly. " Goodbye."

Samantha watched as he left towards the exit, not turning back, but it was alright, for sometimes looking back hurt to much and sometimes one would never find themselves able to look forward again.

"It was nice seeing him again, I we will meet again one way or another." Samantha spoke quietly.

`It was nice, nice for me to.' Came Koh's voice in her head. She smiled, nodding her head in agreement.

" And someday all three of us will be reunited again..."
