Chapter 41: When the fire goes out, all your left with is smoke

Part 2

"Oww...Mimi are you all right?" Genki asked, getting to his feet and helping Mimi up.

They stood ankle deep in water in what seemed to be the bottom of a tiny brick well.

"Yeah, but what pulled us down?"

"I felt a dark magic, it must of been a current made out of magic to drag us down hear. I

think it will just reactivate if we try to fly out of hear. But we need to get out of hear

soon, it stinks!"

"Do hear something?" Mimi asked.

"Uh, yeah now that you ask....Oh no..."

Genki's and Mimi's eyes got small with horror as they saw their friends falling from

above.

"OHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!"

The group moaned, Genki and Mimi be squished at the bottom of the pile.

"Owwww, GET OFF!!!" Genki hissed.

"My back!" Mimi wailed.

"Ow, Squall sticking me with you claws!" Carrie snapped.

Squall transformed back to human form glared at the girl. "You were stabbing me with

your boot!"

"I hit my head on the way down, I'm going have this terrible head ache..." Ryan groaned.

"Heh.." Mara chuckled, standing on her feet unharmed. "I'm glad cats always land on

their feet."

"Shut up..." Carrie sniffed.

"INCOMING!!!" Mara shouted as Rose and Lima crashed down on top of the group,

causing moans of pain to erupt once again from the hurting group.

After a few hectic moments of trying to untangle themselves the group looked around

themselves. It was indeed just one crowded little space, with no way to climb back up.

"WTF!?" Rose's face twisted in an angry sort of way. "What was the point of this? We

come all this way just to get stuck in a stupid well? What's this thing doing hear

anyway!?"

"I want out!!" Lima whined loudly.

"Don't start winning cry baby!" Rose sneered. "That's all I need!"

"But...But...." Lima's eyes watered. "I HATE SMALL PLACES!!!! WAHHHHHH!!!!!"

She burst into loud annoying tears, making the group clutch their ears in an attempt to

stop themselves from going deft.

"SOMEONE SHUT HER UP!!!!!" Rose growled.

"LIMA!!!" Ryan screamed over her loud wailing but she ignored him, as she started to

bang her fist on the side of the wall.

"I---WANT---OUT---OF----HEAR!!!!!"

*BANG!!*

Lima and the rest of the group blinked confused as the wall caved in underneath the

pressure of cyborg fist.

"Oh heh-heh! Look I got us out!" Lima giggled cheerful while everyone else shook there

heads, groaning at her idiotic actions.

They had walked threw a long and narrow hallway, where not even Genki was sure

where they were, he did not even know that this hallway in Capsule Corp existed, it must

had been sealed up quite a long time. Their travels though came to a sudden stop as the

hallway stopped at a dead end. The hall was caved in, there was no way to get to the

other side of the huge whole. The only way they could go would be to move forward

would be to....

"No! We don't have to jump back down!" Rose exclaimed in denial.

"It seems to be the only way." Ryan frowned. "We can't just turn back around. What

good would that do?"

"Your right. But I hate the idea of going back down in a hole." Rose frowned, crossing

her arms over her chest.

Squall and Mara looked ill, both the cat and wolf backed away from the hole.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Carrie asked concerned.

"Something smells rotten..." Mara said sounding as if she wanted to throw up.

"It's the smell of rotten meat...It's old...and disgusting."

"Rotting meat?" Genki blinked. "This area of the building was never used, I don't know

why, but no one ever used the basements basement which is where I'm sure we are.

According to my map there is a staircase leading up to the 14th floor, we can get back

to where we were going. So I guess we should keep going down."

"Yeah...but what could be causing the smell?" Mimi frowned.

"I have no clue. I'm not sure I want to know."

"Well, sorry to say Genki, but I think were going to find out."

The hole went deep but not deep enough to cause to much bodily harm. They were lead

to hallway of metal grating, it seemed darker down hear and even the light from Carrie's

magic seemed to grow duller farther they went. It was pitch black, but they knew they

had to continue forth, all the doors in the hallway was locked, and once again when they

came to the end of the hall an huge hole waited for them.

"This has to be a joke..." Rose trailed off, not amused.

"Do really have to kump down again?" Carrie asked, even though she knew the answer.

Yes.

It was a long and painful fall. They smashed into the ground with a painful force, some of

the members were even forced to use healing items on themselves. They were near the

very bottom of Capsule Corp it's self, and the building seemed to take on a horrible twist.

Everything was pitch black, blood was splashed and smeared across the floors and walls.

Darkness, crimson and rust were the only colors they saw. A strange sound, like nails

clawing on a chalkboard, except darker and more disturbing echoed in the distance.

"Uhhh..." Mara and Squall made small noses, sliding up against the side of the wall,

coughing and gagging.

"What is it?" Lima asked worriedly.

"Is everything all right?' Mimi asked just as worried.

"The smell...it's just so strong..." Squall managed to say.

"I can't stand it Rya!! It's too strong!"

The rest of the group sniffed the air, all feeling over come by the stink, they could only

imagine what it had to be like for someone who had fifty times better sense of smell then

they.

"What in the hell is causing the stink?" Rose pondered out loud.

"I don't know, but I sense a terrible darkness....and it's not that of Saiyoua....it's....it's

even more horrible....god, what could it be?" Genki muttered, trembling.

".....The talisman.....even it's glow can't surpass this darkness." Ryan looked down at the new talisman of light sounding afraid. What could be even more powerful then Saiyoua?

Would they have to fight two battles instead of one?

"Guys...I...uh, come on." Ryan stuttered. "Let's keep going."

The group nodded slowly walking down the dark hallway, the small amount of light that

was around them seemed to fade and the area become darker with every step they took.

"It's getting darker the more we continue." Carrie stopped. " Is it wise we continue

forward?"

"Well, there are no doors, going back is not an option, we have to keep going forward."

"But Rya!" Mara whimpered, burying her face in his shirt. "That rotting smell is getting

stronger, I'm scared to see what we're going to find."

"Mara...."

"Ryan's right, though." Genki said seriously. "There really is no other way. We have to

get up to the top floor no matter how dark or scary it is."

"Yeah, so lets stop with this senseless talking and continue already." Rose commented bitterly.

The group continued, some more hesitant then others until they came to a door, while

Genki, Lima, Mara and Mimi were not phrased by it at all, Ryan, Squall, Carrie and Rose

gasped frightened taking a scared step backwards.

"What is it?" Mimi asked their friends concerned.

"Is there a monster or something!?" Lima sounded afraid.

"Rya, are you ok?" Came Mara worriedly.

"Do you see something or what?" Genki asked confused.

Ryan, Squall, Carrie and Rose exchanged surprised looks, looking back at the door in

which they saw was bleeding. Blood dripping from the cracks in the door frame and out

of the metal pours it's self.

"See something? How can you not?" Rose asked alarmed.

"Huh?"

"The door is bleeding." Ryan gasped, sounding alarmed.

Genki along with the fairy, elf and cat turned to look at the door, frowning confused and

worried as they spotted a regular rusty metal door. They turned back to their friends

giving them odd stares.

"I don't see anything...." Mimi frowned.

"I don't either, maybe we need glasses?"

"Or it could be the other way around." Mara giggled. " Rya, I can't picture you with

glasses. They really wouldn't become you, just like having you hair down long and

unspiked doesn't become you."

"Yeah, guys." Genki chuckled worriedly. "I think maybe the fumes of this horrible smell

messed up your brains."

"It is much stronger on the other side of this door." Mara sounded sick.

Ryan turned to Rose Carrie and Squall with a frightened and confused look on his face

which was returned to him by each of his three friends.

`How come they did not seem to see anything wrong and they did? How could that be....?

What was...'

"OH MY GOD!!"

The four turned to see that their friends had already walked threw the door, they were

greeted by a sudden and horrible stink which made it's way into the hall. Squall lowered

his head, gasping heavily for breath, sounding very sick, as the other three put their hands over their noses and

walked into the room to see what had made the others scream.

The first thing they noticed was Mara in the corner of the room throwing up, Lima

screaming and trembling all over, Mimi fallen on her two knees, burying her face in her

hands as she cried heavily, and Genki who just stood staring shock and horror. Next they

noticed the room. Bodies, rotting and bloody human bodies laid in holes in the walls,

their rotting feet sticking out in the air, they were bodies of men and women. None of

them were children though. It was a horrible sight to beheld.

"W...wh....what is this?" Carrie said slowly, eyes round and wide.

"....A....A......morgue?" Squall tried, but was as affected by the grotesque image as

everyone else.

"................" Genki blinked. " The missing prisoners......the mad people who screamed

and cried about the red devil...did Elisabeth and Dunya put them down hear...or....could it

actually be....." he shook his head, and turned to the group.

"Actually be what?" Ryan questioned alarmed. "That other darkness you felt?"

".......It's not for us to worry about now, lets focus on Saiyoua. Leave this other darkness

hear and forget about it for the time."

Ryan blinked, Genki's voice sounded strange, shaking his head, he decided to let this

drop for now, Saiyoua was their target.

"Genki..." Lima frowned. "This is seriously against the law, as if before wasn't

enough...Woah...I mean....it smells terrible down hear....!!"

"Shut up!" Rose hissed. " Who cares about the god damn law right now? We're going to

go save Gaia all right? Understand? Good, now shut up blondie!"

"..........."

"Come on, let's continue."

They walked threw the door in the room and came to another large whole in the floor,

and a body on a metal slab resting on a table with wheels.

`This body, into the hole?' Ryan wondered, before gazeing down into the dark pit.

"I'm really getting sick of all these holes..." Carrie frowned.

"...Rya, must we?" Mara whimpered.

"Genki?" Ryan asked, the boy nodded.

"Sorry down is the only way."

"Hmmmm." Rose grumbled, before with a grunt pushed the body down into the hole, the

group listened to hear it hit the bottom, a minuet and a half later they heard a splash.

"Water...." Squall trailed off.

"Ewwwwww.....it's probably full of slime and dead bodies....not to mention rats!!" Mara

moaned.

"It sound like a very long drop..." Carrie frowned.

"At least the water will lessen the impact." Mimi tried to be optimistic, but that was

ruined by Rose who sniffed.

"That is if we don't fall on a body."

"Guys...down is the only way to go. I know it's disgusting...but, hey, no one said

destroying the forces of evil would be a clean job? Right? Ahhh, well, come on." Genki

jumped down into the hole, slowly followed by the others. They all landed in smelly,

slimy, gross water, except for Rose who reaped what she sowed by falling right on top of

the body she had thrown down. She was still desperately trying to get her clothes clean

when they came to a flight of stairs, they walked the long flight back up to where they

left off, of course, as they should of foresaw, the other doors were all locked, preventing

them from cheating at Keith's little game and going right away to the top floor. When

they opened the door they gasped, infront of them was a huge chess board, titles of black

and white, some would red swords on them and some with skulls, and other left plain.

seven doors were at the end, pained black and white, the first to the left was a black door

with a square, next to it a white door with a triangle, and next to that was a black door

with another triangle, next to that was a white door with a circle, and then a black door

with a circle, and then a white door with a square, and a another black door also

decorated with a circle.

A poem was taped to the wall, and taking it down Mimi read it aloud.

"However though the white knights were Nobel,

They still lost the battle, as the black knights,

crossed threw there sacred path, and threw the scared door,

None of the white knights remain this day, vanished in the cold,

but still their trap to stop black knight more, from crossing,

into their secret treasure house, remains to this very day.

The secret key is to get over to the right door,

which remains hidden in puzzle, while avoiding,

deaths icy faces, whom will let you fall to yer doom,

and to cross picking up the 14 swords of the fallen knights,

Keep the rules of chess in mind, or else you will pay the fine.

Do not turn back even once, step once and only once on a square,

and make sure the last square you stand on leads to the correct door,

or else it will open, but threw you wont be able to go, for you,

will suffer the faith of the 12 skulls of the twelve dead knights one lay lost,

the last sword is the sword of the traitor."

"This kind of continues from the last one doesn't it?" Carrie noticed.

"Yeah...from what I figured out we have to cross this chess board, avoiding stepping on

any skulls. we have to step on each sword to unlock the right door, without stepping on

the same square twice."

"How do we know which door?" Lima asked worriedly.

"That's simple, listen `The last sword is the sword of the traitor' and `Make sure the last

square you stand on leads to the correct door.' the swords unlock the door, so it is only

logical the correct door is the only one with a sword picture infront of it, meaning it's the

fifth door from the left."

"Wow, your smart Mimi!" Mara exclaimed.

"Thanks." The fairy blushed. "But we still have to figure out how to get to the door. I

suppose we have to act like chess pieces, and since they continue so much about the

knights I guess we move like a knight in a L shape across the board. I'm pretty good at

chess, lucky, it's my favorite game so I think perhaps I can figure it out."

Genki who had taken a sketchbook and a pen out of his school bag had just finished

sketching a picture of the chess board, he handed it to Mimi with a smile.

"Hear, you can try and figure it out with this, I believe you can do it."

Mimi smiled at him, taking the paper. "Thank you, Genki."

It was nearly an hour or two gone by, the puzzle was really complex, but finally Mimi got

it figured out and if they had to say so themselves, it looked pretty good.

Though they trusted Mimi's skills, none of them really wanted to be the one to go across,

but being gentlemanly enough the three men said that one of them would go for it would

not be right for them to make one of the girls, though strong and able to take care of

themselves, go instead of one of them. The played rock, paper, scissors, to decide, and

Squall was the first to win, leaving Genki and Ryan to play against each other. Finally

after a few ties, Genki won and Ryan was left to fallow Mimi's strategy. His legs

trembled with each jump he took, but...at least he had the comfort that Mimi came up

with the strategy and NOT Lima. It worked, great and soon the others followed, they

walked into an large room, almost like a meeting hall, a door to the next floor in the far

corner, but first they had to fight another battle.

A girl whom looked exactly like Dunya except for the taste in clothing and the fact she

was missing an eye stood before them, the key dangling around her neck.

"Kasumie...." Genki whispered. "Kasumie, are you, you? Or are you like Dunya and

Angela?"

Kasumie answered by running at Genki, sending a kick to his side, sending him

slamming into the wall.

"Your not the only one who can learn judo." She mocked, a grin spreading over her face.

"Yeah, oww....I guess." Genki pulled himself up. "And I guess that also answers my

question, doesn't it?"

"Genki, must you be so stubborn, come on, join us! Don't be like Bra and Holly, that's no

fun!"

".......No way, Kasumie. I'm not becoming a machine like you."

"Then die, little brother, die."

The battle was an hard one, Kasumie was a great fighter, but Genki was the better, for

one can not be truly strong if all their techniques were computerized and if they cannot

fight with all their heart and soul, and machines don't have a heart or soul. Though become broken inside with the death of a third sister, Genki pulled the key from her neck and theycontinued on. They were now out of the Brief housing area, and into the science facultyof the building. At soon as the reached the first puzzle they knew this would be a hard level.

"Gold in an old man's palm

The future hidden in his fist

Exchange for sage's water"

Was carved into the door, nothing else was around to give them even a small clue.

"The keys are golden, so maybe we have to go and find the key?" Mimi frowned.

"I wonder where it could be..." Genki wondered bringing up the hologram of the map

again. "Oh geese...."

The groups eyes went wide, there were many rooms that were unlocked, and the hallways

twisted like a maze, it would take hours to search all these rooms, that is if they didn't get lost first. After some discussion the group came up with whom would check which

rooms, traveling in pairs of two.

RYAN AND MARA

"The medicine storage room Nbr 1

Research lab 1#-drugs research

Research lab 2#- Leukemia research

Research lab 3#- Heart cancer research

Research lab 4#- Aids research

Research lab 5#- Anemia research

Research Lab 6#- Mental disease research" Ryan read over the list of rooms in his hand,

him and the cat girl had went to one of the many halls to search these rooms, according

to the map many of the rooms were locked except for these ones. Mara frowned

listening to the room names.

"Uhh...all that research...." Mara sounded ill. " It can't be healthy for a person...."

"I think the diseases are more unhealthy then the research, Mara."

"I know that Rya, but I still find it boring."

"Well, come on, let's start looking."

The two medicine storage rooms had nothing of interest in them except for boxes and

boxes of different medicines and a bad smell. The drugs research lab was almost entirely

empty of things of interest, except for a document which laid on the desk opened a

picture of a squirrel girl- blonde hair, green eyes, furry brown skin and black nose and

whiskers was clipped to the top of it. Curiously Ryan leaned over and read it.

" Name; Cindy Harrison

Age: fifteen

race: Squirrel

Blood type; A

Birthday: April 3rd

Background: one time worker at Capsule Corp, drug addtic, fired from her job

because of substance abuse, found dead by an overdose of pills, in her suicide letter she

wrote something about the red dev---

The hand writing changed into dark read printing

` She was punished for poisoning others. The guilty has been silenced, and justice

has been served.'

The two exchanged confused looks.

"The red devil, once again we hear about him, who the hell is he?"

"Rya, let's go, I suddenly feel creeped out."

"All right."

Research lab 2 to five did not have anything to help them out, they did have in-depth info

about the diseases mentioned but that really did not interest them. Research lab 6 though

did not even have a computer in it, it was empty, bare, and the only thing in it were a few

twisted children in which they killed to free them from their pain. Blood flowed from the

twisted children's bodies and into crack in the floor. Standing back they gasped, the

crimson blood flowing threw the cracks spelled out

" Mentality is not an illness,

madness in not a disease,

so it really shouldn't be hear,

don't you see...next floors,

research be for illness is on these,

next ten floors, but mentally of men,

and their own delusions, are on

the ten floors above this one."

"Dammit, Rya." Mara pouted. " We searched threw eight rooms and we didn't find

anything..."

"Let's hope one of the others found something. let's head back to the main hall to wait."

************************************

SQUALL AND LIMA

"Woman's resting lounge.

Male resting lounge.

Woman's bathroom

Men's bathroom

Cafe

Kitchen

Office #1" Squall read, turning his gray eyes to the elf. " Lima you check out the

woman's lounge and bathroom, I'll check out the men's."

"Why don't we just search the rooms together?"

"......."

"Oh....I never knew you were so shy."

"..........."

"Alrighty! Good look!"

********************************

Squall did not find anything but nudity magazines and posters in the men's lounge, oh,

dirty underwear, but that did not count as anything interesting, no, that just counted as

something gross. Lima did not have any more luck in searching the woman's lounge,

finding only bras, cosmetic magazines, and some makeup. Before leaving Lima smiled,

picking up some of the makeup, and turning to one of the may mirrors put it on, smiling

cutely at her reflection before leaving the room. Though she was trying to save Gaia, she

was still a ditzy girl after all. She entered the woman's bathroom, it appeared empty at

first, but then she listened closely, hearing a dripping sound coming from behind one of

the stalls, cautiously she opened the door, peaking in it she saw nothing, but on the floor

there was a large puddle of blood, moving her shoe, the white leather now stained red,

she looked at the inside of the door. Stumbling back to fear, she pressed her back against

the sink, before screaming.

***********************************

Squall had just walked out of them men's bathroom, finding nothing when he heard the

elf cry out. He dashed into the woman's bathroom, and found her setting on the floor,

back against the wall, cowering under a sink.

"Lima, what is it?"

"......" She silently pointed at the bathroom stall, he followed her direction, and gasped,

nailed to the inside of the door was a girl with short green hair, dark blue eyes dull and

small, forever frozen in fear, she had been disemboweled...Under her feet written in

blood was

` This woman was punished for crimes of adultery. The guilty has been silenced, and

justice has been served.'

"Isn't...she...." Lima began still in slight shock. "Isn't she the girl in the picture on

Genki's door? The one with all the darts...?"

"You mean his old girl friend Mimaran? Yeah, it does look like her....what a mess. Who

wrote this?"

"I don't know but this whole place is becoming scary! Something strange is going on

hear, something strange and dangerous!"

"Lima...let's just focus on completing our mission on destroying Saiyoua for now...."

"All right..."

**********************************

The cafe was empty of any useful to them at the moment, and they traveled into the

office. Books laid scattered on the ground, a broken beaker of glass laid shattered, and the on the desk was a note.

" Dear god. I'm so afraid. I don't want to die, I don't want to become one of those

Kamertion injected dolls, or one of those robotic creatures which is the faith Tenki has

already resigned most of my other sisters to...but the chemical is already flowing threw

my blood and I know that when it finally wipes out my mind, Tenki will turn me into a

machine like everyone else. I did my very best to help Holly escape and I watch Aria the

best I can,she refuses to leave, and waits hear for Genki. But atleast I got Holly out of hear, but I couldn't escape myself, the window was too small. I hope she is safe and

that Bra can cure her....right now I've been trying to make a cure for the

Kamertion...but....Ohhh....I don't know....I came up with a liquid, I have in the glass

beaker on my desk. It's not helping....Something is missing, I know Bra could figure it

out, but I know that this formula is key to finding out how to wash out Kamertion from

ones system. I just hope that it will do some good. That's all I can hope for now.

~Maria~

"This red liquid on the floor? Is this the cure she was trying to make?" Squall knelt down

beside it. It looked like water with red food coloring, and was sloppy like it to. It smelled

of nothing, but was sticky to the touch.

"Lima, go to the kitchen and get a container or something to put this in. It might help."

"All right!"

Lima came back a moment later with two small plastic containers. They scooped up the

liquid in them, filling both to the brim.

"I hope it helps Bra out."

"....Yeah well, Lima, let's get back to the main hall, hopefully the others had better luck."

CARRIE AND ROSE

"Computer lab 1#

Computer lab 2#

Computer lab 3#

File storage for cancer treatments

File storage for mental illness treatments

Human biology research area 1#"

Carrie read the list. "Where do we start?"

"Might as well go top to bottom." Rose shrugged her shoulders unconcerned.

Computer lab one had nothing interesting as did computer lab two. They walked into

computer lab three seeing much the same thing, they were about to leave the lab when a

beeping caught their attention, turning around they blinked, before their faces went pale

and they gasped alarmed. All the computers had turned on, the only thing on the monitor

though were the words `Die.'

An image of something red, caring an large knife flashed before their eyes but a flash

was all they saw of it, nothing else was there.

"Carrie....let's get out of hear." Rose said, shaken.

"...Y....Yeah."

**************************************

There was nothing of interest in the cancer treatment room, however Carrie did glance at

the cancer treatments sadly, seeing no treatment to cure Mimi. She sighed drearily before

leaving with Rose to check out the Mental illness treatments. Nothing. There was nothing

in hear. Bare and empty not even a sheet of paper could be found laying astray anywhere.

It was like the whole room was moved somewhere else. Something warm and sticky hit

Carrie's hand, looking up she gasped, spotting words written in blood on the ceiling.

THERE IS NO CURE FOR WHAT HUMAN-KIND DREAMS UP IN THEIR

MINDS, FOR MADNESS IS BORN OF GUILT AND SIN, WHICH CAN'T BE

ERASED OR FORGIVEN.

"Weird." Rose summed it up. "We only have one room left, let's look."

********************************

At first in the human biology research room all they found was beakers and old plastic

skeletons, dusty and some turned yellow from age. Then on the counter Carrie spotted it,

a realistic looking aged hand, in the center of it was a key. The steal hand it's self was

fastened down on the counter, as though it was part of it.

"I found it!" The last Fernandez exclaimed happily, reaching for the key from the man's

hand, but it would not budge. She pried her hardest at it, but it would not come off.

"Hear let me." Rose said, flexing her muscles in superiority, but her ego took a hit when

she found that she could not move it from the man's grasp no matter how hard she

pulled. Both girls grunted prying at the key with all their might but they could not work it

loose.

"Damn it..." Rose panted. "Let's go meet the others in the main hall, perhaps they can

lend us a hand."

"...The poem said exchange for sage's water....Perhaps we need to find that before

getting the key..."

"I guess. Let's go, perhaps Genki will know what the hell sage's water is."

GENKI AND MIMI

"Emergency wash room

Research lab 7#- Blood research

Research lab 8#-Plagues research

Chemical research

drug storage room #1

drug storage room #2" Genki read over, checking off the first room

"Genki?" Mimi asked, looking around the emergency wash room.

"Yeah?"

"What was this room used for? There are many showers in hear, why was it called an

emergency shower room?"

Genki smiled, Mimi had grown up in the forest was not aware of things like this, but

he did not mind to explain at all.

"It was in case of chemical spills in the lab. Some of the chemicals we worked with were

very dangerous, and if we accidentally got some on ourselves, with most we had only a

little bit of time to wash it off before it could cause us damage."

"Oh....it must have been scary to work in the lab, did you ever spill any on yourself?"

"......Well I didn't really spill any on myself. But there once was a leak, and Keith and I

breathed in some of the chemicals. We were hallucinating and sick for days, some

scientists died from breathing it in, the only reason I see why Keith and I survived is

because we both have goddess cells in us, otherwise I guess we too would be pushing up

daises now."

"That's terrible, what happened to cause the leak?"

".....I don't know....It was caused on purpose though, maybe from some rival company?

Well anyway, let's go."

"All right."

**********************************

"Hey Mimi." Genki grinned, setting down at one of the computers in the blood research

lab.

"Yes?"

The boy typed loudly on the computer while answering. " Want to see something fun. We

tested blood research, and my sisters and I came up with kind of zodiac personality thing

with blood. We studied people with different blood types, and in many cases people with

type A blood or type B blood, showed many of the same personality traits, want to see

what you blood type says about you?"

Mimi chuckled. "Sure, maybe we can ever see what the other's blood types says about

them."

"Yeah, I made sure to learn their type. What's yours?"

"A."

"All right, hears the listings."

A

People with type A blood are often caring of others and are careful of what they say.

They are smart and studious, and take responsibility quite heavily. They like to help

others, but sometimes let others depend on them to much, causing them to become over

worked. They are often optimistic and believes everything well turn out good. They also

do not worry about things until the last moment and then winds up in a panic to get

things done at the very last moment. Depression, tiredness, and self-doubt is common in

many type `A' people. They dislike violence and fighting, and has a love for peaceful

things.

B

People with type B blood are often secretive and quite. They aren't found of opening up

to others, but are not way unfriendly either(in most cases) They are often strong in body,

but weak in mind. They don't like accepting help from others, even from a close friend.

They can often get jelouse when they do get close to someone, not wanting that person to

go with someone else. Anger and frustration is common. Type B people commit suicide

more often then any other blood type. However dispite the many faults type B blood

gives, people with type B blood are very courageous, loyal to their friends, and are very

determent.

AB

People with type AB blood are often quick to anger and quick to fight. They don't like

facing problems or guilt and often buries their feelings and memories deep down in their

subconscious, creating lies within their minds in which they begin to believe is truth.

Though this is common in many type AB people it is not in every one, for even those of

other blood types sometimes looks to bury their guilt in their Subconscious.

There are two different type's of AB, the first are over energetic and friendly, live wires to say the least. They do have a temper, and often takes it out on either someone they don't

like or inanimate objects, but never has a desire to kill or cause serious harm. They are

prone to stress and worry and are often left not knowing how to deal with it.

The other type of AB are very cold and cruel, when someone makes them angry they

seek vengeance and look to hurt that person back. Many of them don't know how to

forgive, and begins to hate even those they love. They are mean and show utter contempt

for those weaker, or those whom did them wrong. They are strong and prideful, seeking

vengeance against all those who harm them, like the other AB type, they never give up.

Sometimes the two types of AB personality mix, resulting in someone who can show two

very different faces.

O

People with type O blood are very cheerful and flirty. They love life and everything it has

to offer. They don't like to be alone, as they are very prone to loneliness. They sometimes

show a mysterious air, and some tries to hide their true self from others for many

different reasons. Type O people are prone to nervousness, blood lost and headaches,

also diseases affecting the bones. Type O people often show mixed personality traits from

other blood types.

Mimi giggled. "I guess it sounds a little like me. What type are the others?"

"Well, I'm an AB, Carrie is also AB, oh and Pan is AB to!Lemon, Lima and Mara are all O, Squall, Rose

and...Alex, are B, also....I don't have any idea what Ryan is though, he

doesn't know his blood type, and when we had are types tested at school it came out

unknown...."

"Strange. Well, that was fun, but I think we should continue our search."

"Yeah, I guess so."

******************************

Genki and Mimi took a fast looked over the plagues research lab. Many different diseases

were storied in air tight beakers and one spill and both would die from many plagues,

considering neither had on one of the safety suits that all the workers were required to

where in hear. They went to search in the Chemical research lab but the door was locked.

"Strange..." Genki frowned. "This room was often in use...Well lets go check the drug

storage rooms..."

There was nothing in the first one, expect many drugs, and in the second one the same

thing, except for one thing that Mimi frowned at in confusion.

"Uh, Genki?"

"Yeah?"

"Are jellybeans, drugs?"

"Huh?"

Mimi pointed to a bag of jellybeans on the shelf, Genki blinked confused.

"I honestly have no idea how that got there...." He wondered over pick it up, give the bag

a thug.

".....You not going to eat them, are you?" Mimi sounded nervous.

"....Naw...but, I just want to see something. They can't be regular jelly beans, Bra would

never allow someone that careless to work hear."

He gave the bag another thug and the jelly beans spilled over the floor, along with a large

clatter as a heavy bronze key fell from the bag and hit the floor. Genki grinned picking it

up.

"Ha! What a clever place to hide the chemical research key!"

"....In an bag of jelly beans?"

"Uhh, yeah..."

******************************

The smell in the C.research lab was disgusting, and they found nothing of interest in

there. Mimi turned to leave but spotted Genki picking something up off a desk and

slipping it into his pocket.

"What's that?" She asked, startling the boy.

"Oh...it's....Uhh, something I made before I left. It's an watery acid. It's very strong but is

made to only eat threw steal, so everything else, including the human flesh is safe. I just

picked it up because we might find a use for it, or something. Better to be prepared then

not."

"Yeah, I guess so, let's go meet the others now, I hope one of them found the key."

*********************************

The group now stood together again, Carrie explained to Genki about the hand and how

she could not get the key from it, hearing that it was made of steal he happily went with

Carrie and poured his watery acid over the hand, causing it to melt away and retrieve the

key, they headed up the stairs to the next floor, The next puzzle appeared to be a series of

riddles in which they had to find the answers to, to unlock the door. Their were a series

of ten riddles for them to solve. The riddles were wrote on the computer screen waiting

for an answer to be typed in under it. They were as fallows...

1.Squeeze it and it cries tears as red as it's flesh but it's heart is made of stone.

2. Voiceless it cries, wingless flutters, toothless bites and mouthless mutters

3. The one who built it does not keep it, the one who buys it does not want it, and the one

who needs does not know it.

4. It causes all things to come into existence, a baby to be born then die and a mouton to

form then crumble. What is it?

5. A room you leave without entering

6. A room you enter without leaving

7. They come in the night without being fetched and disappear in the day without being

stolen.

8. It's head is black but when it is struck turns red, then black again and dead.

9. It bares children but is neither mother or father and remains a virgin.

10.

Number ten was left blank, deciding to deal with it when they came to it they sat on

solving the other riddles. They were tuff but finally they got them. The first was solved

by Mimi whom exclaimed that it was a cherry. It turns out that it was the right answer,

baking alot, and having you favorite thing to bake be cherry pie turned out rather helpful.

It was Squall who knew the answer to the 2nd, saying it was the wind, knowing the sound

it makes from all the times he stood it the woods letting it play with his hair and caress

his body. Carrie came up with the answer to the third, commenting that it was a coffin.

Ryan knew the answer to the next one, saying that it was time. Once again Carrie solved a riddle, the next two to be precise, the first being a mother's womb and the 2nd being a

tomb. Mara knew the answer to the next one right away, exclaiming excitedly that it was

stars. Rose, being the only one in the group whom smoked knew the next answer was a

match. And then surprisingly Lima knew the answer to the 9th one and it was a tree.

Slowly words appeared under riddle ten, which read.

10. Who will be the first to die?

The group exchanged looks, before turning back to the computer.

"Somehow I don't think it's going to take `none of us' as an answer." Genki said simply.

"Damn!" Ryan cursed. "Keith this is not funny! You want to know who will be the first

to die then fine."

The group looked curiously to see what Ryan typed and saw the word

"You."

He pressed enter sending the answers. A moment later a few more words appeared on the

computer.

"Ha, ha, ha, ha, Ryan, great sense of humor. But That is a wrong answer, but still, I think

I'll let the floors up to the next battle be unlocked, because I am getting really impatient

waiting for you to complete this little game. Ta-ta for now."

The computer shut off, leaving Ryan fuming.

"Hey at least the doors are unlocked now." Lima smiled weakly.

"........I wonder who it is I will have to fight this time...." Genki frowned sadly, before

heading up the steps.

The next battle was waiting for them right in the hall of floor twenty. Short curly brown

hair and brown eyes wearing a simple white skirt with orange top.

"Susza..." Genki whispered before his face hardened. " Let's fight if that is what you

want."

"...........Elisabeth....she.......she......is......a.....beast. ....I wont....let....her....get....to....you,

like...she....got.....to....Dunya....I'll....kill....you....befo re....that....happens."

"Suzsa?" Genki asked startled as the girl slowly staggered towards him, she seemed very

unfit to fight. She fell to her two knees, before prying herself back to her feet.

"Genki." Ryan began.

"Yeah, I know she is dying, a virus must have gotten into her machine body....I'll kill her

so she wont suffer any longer then she must." Genki charged up a energy blast and sent it

flying at his sister, but some kind of strange shield reflected back at him, striking him in

the chest.

"Genki!?" Mimi cried alarmed.

"I'm all right....but there is a shield around her or something....I can't attack."

"Then let me!" Rose exclaimed, dashing forward, bringing her Katana down. A shock

wave erupted threw the blade and sent Rose flying backwards.

"Ow...What the hell? Fuck, not even physical attacks work."

"....Genki she's dying as is, you said yourself, why don't we just leave her and continue?"

Ryan suggested. "I know it sounds cruel but....what can we do?"

"We can't just leave her suffer, besides the key is around her neck. How do we open the

door without it!" Genki shot back. "Besides I can't leave my own sister suffer like that,

machine or not!"

"....G...Go!!!" Suza hissed, ripping the chain from her neck and tossing it at Genki. "

N...NOW!!!"

"But Suza...."

"LEAVE ME!!! ARGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" She cried out as a sudden bolt of magical

lightning struck, killing her instantly, burning her to smoking metal. A laugh echoed

around them and Genki recognized it immediately.

"Elisabeth?"

**********************************

They had traveled easily threw the twenty first and twenty second floors, but were

stumped on the twenty-third. A tiny little box lay at the foot of the door, with different

types of locks. Chain, combination, ect. On top of it laid a note which read `Louise! I'll

take care of you forever, it is my destiny!' beside the door was two photos, one of a crow

setting on a dead tree branch and another of many locked doors in some kind of prison

cell. On the door was written in red

"The key is hidden behind many locks."

"So, I guess we find all the keys for this box...." Mimi frowned.

"I guess. This must be another new puzzle Keith or someone put up. Lucky for us, there

are only ten rooms that were used on this floor, so it should not take so long." Genki

brought up the hologram on his watch. It was a small floor, this was the only hall in it,

sure there were around 30 rooms in the hall but only ten of which were unlocked. The

floors before this one had been storing some old medicine for the brain and for other

mental illness which affect it, this one was where people being treated would rest.

Thinking about it, they realized that Capsule Corruption was a Prison, a living place, a

research area, and science lab and a hospital all in one. No wonder it was so huge.

"Ryan and Mara you take Room 103, and 104.

Squall and Lima you take rooms 108 and 111

Carrie and Rose you take rooms 122 and 125

Mimi and I will take rooms 126, 132, and 133." Genki named off the unlocked rooms,

the group nodded and turns to check out their room.

Room 103

They walked in, it was small, and messy, clothes laid scattered on the ground, a dirty

and bloody bed laid in the corner, a red book laid on the ground, it was a book about the

history of Capsule Corp. Many of the pages were torn out, picking it up Ryan read threw

the remaining pages.

"Capsule Corporation is now one of the biggest science buildings in the world, though

operated and owned by the Brief family today, it was not always so but would, many

years ago, be used as a prison for the criminals, and they would be exacted. Who did the

executions though still remains a mystery for guilty people, never punished by the

police would whine up hear from all sides of the world and be killed by something inside.

Angeles, before it became the city today was called `Hadsain.' the ancient words for

`The home of the guilty.' Hadsain was a home to ancient gods and was a sacred ground,

where magic even today still thrives strongly, and where the lifestream flows underneath

the soil."

A few pages were ripped out

Pictures of the head priest of these old magical tribes where found, whatever he was

human or not, still do this day remain unknown, but in all what we could find he was

called `Justice.'

Ryan turned the page, him and Mara gasp, a picture of a man in rags, carrying an huge

metal knife, his head....his head was covered in a huge red, pointy, pyramid like helmet,

or at least they thought it was a helmet.

"The red devil?" Ryan asked. "Naw...I'm probably just imagining things...I have to be.

Come on Mara, let's go."

"Y...Yeah."

*****************************************

Room 108

"............"

"..........."

"........."

"........."

Lima and Squall stare, in fright, a person laid on the bed, well...if it could still be called a

person for it was now just a rotting skeleton, hungry rats crawling all over it and

devouring the little bit of spoiled flesh left.

"Ohhh..." Lima turned away, looking ready to throw up. Squall patted her back

reassuringly.

"Lima, go outside, I see a key on the shelf...I'll go get it."

"Thanks....Squall...." Lima left, hands to her mouth.

Carefully avoiding the rats he picked up the key, a soft click sounded and all rats turned

to him, hissing. He took a step back surprised, as all the rats came crawling towards him,

pointy noses twitching and yellow teeth gleaming. He went to dash towards the door

when they all jumped him, the rats biting and ripping hungrily at his skin. He screamed,

trying to shield his face and neck, arms, legs, ears, hands getting bit. Lima opened the

door, shaking frightened, before she found courage inside of herself.

"WATER!!!"

A huge wave of water filled the room, washing the rats off of Squall, who limped quickly

towards the door, slamming it shut.

"Are you all right Squall!?" Lima cried worriedly.

"......Yeah....thanks....."

"Your hurt!" Lima noticed the blood from the rats bites.

"....I'll be ok." Squall smiled weakly. "I just hope they did have rabies or something."

"Yeah, that would be a downer wouldn't it?"

"Yeah."

"It kind of remindes me of a poem I read once."

"Really?"

"Yeah, listen.

A were wolf named Fathbies Frabies,

tried to steal a poor farmers three babies,

as he crept threw the house, he was bit by a mouse,

who was mad and the wolf died of rabies."

Dispite himself Squall felt a smile twitch at the corners of his mouth, and shook his head with a low chuckle. "How reasurreing of you Lima. Nice poem, let's go."

****************************************8

Room 122

"Shit....what is this?" Rose muttered looking around the room, applaud.

"Looks like stuff used in sorcery....a twisted kind of sorcery." Carrie wrinkled her nose

looking at the gutted chickens which hung on the wall.

The room was black, blood smeared on them in streaks and sometimes even pictures, one

huge picture made from white flour was infront of a cluttered desk, and on the wall

behind it to, it was a picture of an inverted Pentagram with a face of a devil in the center.

Occult books covered the ground, on the desk candles burned, voodoo items, including

the figurine of a little girl made out of clay.

Carrie picked up an book which laid opened on the desk.

"My dear daughter, Lousie. Dear sweet Lousie, gone to bed, gone to heaven. My poor

dear sweet daughter, it's my fault! All my fault she died, all my fault, entirely my fault.

Her soul lays within this doll, I will revive her, I will, I will, I will. Inside, inside, inside,

there is a shining sliver."

Carrie turned to the next page and frowned. "The only thing written is `Lousie' over and

over again...."

"The crazy ramblings of a mad man. Useless." Rose got ready to leave, when Carrie

called her back.

"What is it?" The older girl said irritably.

"Hold on." Carrie mixed up the wax doll and pulled the clay apart.

"H...Hey! Wasn't the girls soul suppose to---oh?" Rose blinked staring at a small sliver

key which fell on the desk.

Carrie smirked. "I guess this guy wasn't so crazy after all, eh, Rose?"

"Ehhhh........"

*************************************

Room 126

Genki walked hurriedly into the room, instantly looking around himself, as if looking for

something or someone. An worried and urgent expression plastered on his face.

"Genki?" Mimi asked puzzled by the boy's sudden bizarre behavior.

"........Aria! Are you hear? Aria!?"

"Aria? Who is she?"

"Genki!!" A small voice exclaimed, and a small form crawled out from underneath the

bed. Mimi watched puzzled as a five year old child leapt into Genki's arms, wrapping

small arms around his neck. She was wearing a louse fitting pink white and green dress

with frills. She had puffy white hair done up into two short pigtails, dark skin and pale

pink eyes. On her forehead she had, a golden horn?

"Aria! I'm so glad! No one hurt you?"

"Nope, none one hurt Aria. I am fine." She spoke with a thick accent, it was as though

she was just learning English.

"That's a miracle. Your sure your not hurt or anything?"

"Yes, I am sure! You bet!"

"Genki...?" Mimi asked confused.

"Mimi, this is Aria....she is....very important. We have to get her out of hear."

"....I want to help!!" Aria frowned, stomping her foot.

"No, Aria! We are just lucky that they did not find you yet. You got to go!" Genki

exclaimed. "We'll get you out of hear, all right?"

"I know how to get out of hear myself. Aria help Cid go to earth to get Amy and Kim,

then bring them back to Gaia. I came back hear looking for you!"

"What?" Mimi asked alarmed. " Aria...the same Aria from Kim and Amy's stroy? But how....?"

Genki squeezed his fist. "Aria, don't make this hard. Please, you've got to go."

"But...." The child's eyes began to water. "But daddy....!!"

"!!" Mimi gasped alarmed, putting a hand to her mouth in shock, dozens of diffrent feeling flowed threw her in a jumble of mixed feelings.

"Listen to me, Aria, you can't get killed, or hurt, you are very important. Remember, all

right? What Messiha had planned for us to do." Genki's voice became strange again.

"All right, I understand. Aria will leave and go to Bra. I will wait for you, until the day."

The girl gave jim a peck on the cheak before closeing her eyes, the horn on her head shimmered and she disappeared like a phantom.

Genki got to his feet reading to leave, but saw Mimi staring at him, with an odd

expression.

"That was Aria, it's a long story, and not one that I will explain now. She is not my real

daughter...not really. You'll know someday, all right?"

"..........."

Genki smiled, widely. "Now, come on! Let's go!"

"....Uh...um, o-ok."

Room 104

"Ack!" Ryan cried out, gripping his chest.

"Rya!? What's wrong?"

"I suddenly took another pain. I think I'm getting sick again, damn this weak body...."

"Rya....."

"Don't worry, I'm feeling better now...." Ryan staggered off balance, shaking his head,

he sat down on the bed, putting a hand weakly to his head. "Or maybe not *cough*"

"Rya!? Are you getting sick again? I know your body is not healthy, maybe you should

rest."

"....Damn of all times for my flesh to start acting up...." Ryan laid down on the bed,

shivering slightly. "So comfy...maybe a little rest...."

"Rya....do you want me to stay hear with you?" Mara asked worriedly.

"....No.....I'll be fine, you need to help the others search."

"....Ok.....But are you sure you'll be fine hear all by yourself?"

"Yeah....I'll join up with you guys again after I regain some strength."

"All right, take care Rya....."

"You too....Mara....."

Room 111

"This might be one of the numbers for the combination locks...." Lima commented.

"You think?" Squall asked, staring at the room with an odd expression.

All around them were the words written in blue ink.

"Tern, tern the numbers, write them down so I don't forget. 2032."

"Think we should copy it down?"

Squall nodded. "Yeah."

************************************

Room 125

Rose growled, putting her hands on her hips. "Oh now, that isn't even trying!"

"Yeah...." Carrie frowned.

The room was empty except for a copper key on a chain, hanging on a nail, a large neon

sign above it pointed down at it, reading

"Key to Lousie's box."

"Is it just me, or does it seem a little to obvious?" Carrie asked as Rose took the key.

"Well, duh, you'd think they'd go to more trouble then that to hide an important key to

unlocking an important box, to get an important key, let's go."

Carrie blinked looking at Rose confused. "Uh....ok?" `That didn't make any sense!'

****************************************

Room 132

Mimi copied down a number which was wrote on the wall, 21-48-9, most probably the

combination to the combination lock on the box. They walked into the main hall, and

stopped startled as they heard a woman crying in room 133, right next door. Genki and

Mimi entered, concerned and worried, and spotted a woman with dark brown hair and

large blue eyes sobbing, her large stomach, indicating she was pregnant.

"Oh!! Sadira!" Genki exclaimed.

"Who?"

"My brother's wife..."

"Oh!?"

Sadira looked up at him, frowning sadly. "Genki! What are you doing hear? Oh it is so

terrible, Tenki is being so rotten lately, he doesn't even care about me or our baby any

more. His mind is so consumed with power-hungriness!"

"Sadira, we'll get you out of hear!"

"No! I'm not going!!"

"What!?" Genki exclaimed shocked.

"I love Tenki! I wont leave him, for the world! I want to stay with him hear...."

"....But what about your baby?"

"It's because of this baby that Tenki is mad at me. He doesn't not want a stupid

child...."She frowned in thought, before hissing at him. "What do you want!? Go away!

Tenki will get mad at me if he sees me speaking with you!"

"Fine! You don't have to tell me twice." Genki wrinkled his nose with disgust and

stormed out of the room, balling his fists, Mimi went after him, stopping him in the hall.

"Genki, who was that?"

"That was Sadria, my brother's wife. Just like her name she is sad. Very foolish, Tenki

abuses her, but she is so madly in love with him, she would rather die then bare leaving

him. She wont listen to us, she is beyond all hope."

"...................I feel sorry for the child."

"Me too...I swear, once this is all over, I'm going to steal that baby, I'm NOT going to let

Tenki beat an innocent little infant and I know Sadria is not going to do anything about it."

"Yeah..."

"Well let's go!"

**********************************

The group met at the box, all with the needed keys on them.

"...Hey? Where is Ryan?" Lima blinked, looking around for the missing member. Mara

frowned worriedly.

"He got sick again. He is laying down in room 104, he said he'll join up with us again

when he feels better."

"Ok....I hope he recovers soon, we're going to need his help to battle Saiyoua." Genki said seriously.

The group knelt down infront of the box, removing one lock at the time. Finally it came

to the last lock, but when Genki opened it, his eyes went huge, and he blinked rabidly.

"What the hell!?"

"Huh?' The group looked into the box, their eyes growing wide in disbelief.

There was nothing in it! Yeah, that's right, nothing! Na-da, zip, 0, nothing. It was empty.

All that searching, and on the author's part, all that writing, for....NOTHING!! It kind of

makes you wonder what the point was to this puzzle, and why I'd take so much time to

write about an empty box....guess it's one of the mysteryies of Gaia.

"What kind of sick twisted joke is this!?" Rose exclaimed.

".........." Squall just gaped, looking down at all the rat bites he suffered....for nothing.

".............Damn...." Carrie swore, shaking her head is bewilderment.

".....Oh no...." Mimi suddenly said, sounding a mixture between anger, frustration, and

disbelief. "Don't tell me...."

She walks up to the picture of the many locked doors and took it off the wall, throwing it

on the ground. The group fell to their knees, groaning loudly as they saw a key hidden

behind the painting.

"Hidden behind many locks..." Genki was practically shaking in temper. "....THAT WAS

NOT FUNNY KEITH!!!!"

"Of course it was." Keith's voice surrounded them then disappeared.

".......No it wasn't...." Genki pouted stubbornly.

**************************************

At the end of the twenty fourth hall was a old fairy-tail book, laying cover down on the

ground, and a door which read

"Darkness that brings

The choking heat.

Flames render the silence

awakening the hungry beast.

Open time's door to beckon prey."

Carrie knelt down, picking up the dairy-tail book, one page had a picture of a man with

arrow slaying an evil looking giant lizard.

"Hearing this the hunter armed with bow and arrow said `I will kill the lizard.' But upon

meeting his opponent he held back, taunting, `Whoes afraid of a reptile?' At this, the

furious lizard hissed, `I'll swallow you up in a single bite!' Then the huge creature

attacked, jaws wide open. This was what the man wanted. Calmly drawing his bow, he

shot into the lizards gaping mouth. Effortlessly, the arrow flew, piercing the defenseless

maw, and the lizard fell down dead."

"Hey." Carrie smiled. "It's my favorite fairy tale!"

"Oh what? Do we have to go find a giant lizard now?" Rose folded her arms over her

chest.

".........Um? The door isn't locked." Squall pointed out, opening it with ease.

"!?"

"Well....I guess we continue?" Genki shrugged his shoulders.

They walked threw the 25th floor hall, the door locked, needing the key from this floor's

boss. They searched every room, but found nothing. The gathered back in the main hall,

confused.

"There is no one or anything hear." Mara frowned. "What's up with this?"

"Maybe they forgot to put a boss?"

"I don't think so Lima." Carrie shook her head. "Maybe it has something to do with the

fact there was no puzzle on the last floor."

".......or maybe the puzzle for that floor was to find where the boss was on this floor."

Squall thought. "The darkness that brings the choking heat...."

"The furnace room." Genki gasped. "There is a cellar door in the second hallway of this

floor, it leads down to the furnace. We never used it, because of an accident which

happened down stairs before. It busted and burned one of the employees. We always used

the furnace on the 1st and 15 floors to warm the building."

"It could be it, let's check it out."

*****************************

They walked down the dark stairs, leading into the furnace room, covered in shadows, as

a fire burnt in the machine. It was a large room. Suddenly the cellar door slammed shut,

locking behind them trapping them inside, the heat of the flames grew hotter, until they

felt like they were roasting in a stove.

"Well....Well, Well...." A girl with long brown hair, purple glasses covering her brown

eyes, a loose lab coat laid open over a white skirt and black tank-top." Seems like my pet

had ordered out for lunch..."

"Lisa!" Genki exclaimed, taking a step forward.

"How dare you try to destory our dear brother's plans! What he has planned for the world

is wonderful..."

"What are Tenki's plans!? And how can anything wonderful come of this!?"

"Ha,ha,ha,ha....It's not for traitors to the family, like you to know."

".................."

"DAMBOLA! COME TO DINNER!!!"

The ground began to shake, throwing them off balance, turning to their side they gasped,

seeing an huge Kimono Dragon, standing like a giant.

"Oh damn...." Rose gulped.

"......Dambola is alot bigger then the last time I saw her..." Genki blinked, horrified.

"Wh...What do we do?" Mimi whimpered frightened as it came towards them.

"....I have no idea...uh...." Genki became frantic. "Keep away from it, and attack with

magic? Rose, Squall when it gets distracted from the long distant attacks, we'll go up

close and attack."

"Ok!"

Backing away into the corner of the room, Carrie, Lima and Mimi charged up their

attacks, Genki began to power up, standing far from the lizard but closer then the others.

"MAGICAL ORBS OF LIGHT!!!"

"WATER SPEARS!!!"

"PETAL DANCE!!!"

"KAMAHA!!!"

The attacks rammed into the beast, and Rose with her Katana, Squall in his wolf-form

and Genki with his fists dashed forward, striking the beast in all directions, only to find,

that it's body was a hard as steal. It swiped an angry claw at Squall who jumped out of

the way, along with Rose and Genki who had backed away nervously. Behind them they

could hear Lisa laughing mockingly.

"Genki! What do we do!?" Mimi cried out, seeing the beast coming closer to them,

thounge sticking out between it's thightly closed mouth.

"I....I don't know!!"

The group backed away frightened, the beast was still coming towards them.

"....MAGICAL KNIVES!!" Carrie screamed, fearfully, two white magical beams of angry

shaped likes swords, flung at the beast, cutting into it, but the outside shell was to thick,

it was useless.

Genki looked at his friends, trembling in the corner. `Without Ryan hear, I'm the

leader....I can't let them all die....'

The boy dashed forward as the beast was preparing to attack, and flung his fist into it's

eye. The eye not being shield was hurt, and in an angry roar the creature took it's huge

foot and slammed it down on the boy's chest, pinning him painfully to the ground.

"GENKI!!!" Mimi screamed out in terror.

"Ahhhhh!!!!" He yelled, shielding his face as the beast opened it's mouth, it was huge,

deep, and red, it was huge, and acting like a suction trying to pull him in. The boy moved

his head to the side as he struggled, allowing a drop of salvia to drop beside his head,

burning a hole in the floor. The boy's eyes went wide, the saliva that lined the monster's

large, deep mouth was acid.

The rest of the group members were panicking, when Carrie's eyes went huge. "The

fairy-tail?"

"Huh!? Carrie, this is no time to be thinking of children stories!" Mara exclaimed.

"Mara's right!! We have to help Genki!!" Lima said trembling all over.

"No! I understand!" Rose growled, taking her Katana and throwing it into the air, it

pierced the dragon's mouth, the creature screamed, throwing it's two feet up into the air

in agony. Quickly Genki rolled from underneath to avoid getting squished and dashed

back to where his friends were, they all watched as the beast curled up on the floor in a

ball and died.

Lisa stood looking at the remains of her `pet' horrified. Slowly she began to back away,

panicked, not knowing where to go.

"Lisa, you still have a chance to become normal again. Bra can help you, if you'll just---"

"No, Genki. I wont accept help from Bra, or you. No one can help me now, and I don't

care. I'm to proud to go crawling on my knees for help...Ha,ha,ha,ha....Big brother always knew what was best for me...." She slowly staggered around the room, the key broke off of the chain landing on the ground with a clatter.

"Lisa...." Genki said nervously.

".....But I failed him......he told me, that. if I couldn't win...that I should Finnish myself

off...that way...Bra wont make me betray him.......Bra was always such a rotten person.

She always made the rest of us feel like dirt."

"Bra did not mean to. It's just her way. She does not mean to rub it in your faces, she

cares about us all."

"Ha,ha,ha,ha....of course you would say that. Your brainwashed by her. You'll believe

every word she says..." Lisa opened the furnace door, a blast of heat washed into the

room.

"Lisa? Don't...don't do this! You can change back, believe me, your the one being brain

washed. You aren't like this. Tenki has wrapped your mind!"

"Don't try and talk me out of it....I failed him, I wont allow you to turn me against him

too...my dear older brother....Tenki..." Lisa closed her eyes walking into the furnace, her

metal body consumed and melted by the flames.

".....No......"

*****************************************

Tenki burned a hole into his desk with his cigarette, face emotionless as he watched Lisa

die on the large camera.

"What a stupid fool."

****************************************

The group had walked up the steps to the twenty-six floor, at the end of the hall the riddle

etched to the door was

"A place with songs and sound

A golden guide post is

untapped in lost thongs,

Awakening at the ordained order."

"A place with songs and sounds...." Carrie mussed.

"It's probably the music room." Genki said thoughtfully. "We would experiment to see

what different kinds of music had affect on people."

"How many instruments do you have?" Lima asked curiosity.

"Oh, we have violins, French horns, trumpets, tuba's, guitars, flutes, harps, drums...the

piano has a few broken keys though. Well let's go check it out I guess."

**********************************

Each and everyone of the instruments had turned to rust, except for the piano, on a chalk

board, on which lyrics for a song would be wrote, was written in blood.

" 'A tale of birds without a voice'

First flew the greedy pelican

eager for the reward,

White wings flailing.

Then came a silent Dove,

Flying beyond the pelican,

As far as he could.

A Raven flies in,

flying higher then the dove,

Just to show he can.

A swan glides in,

to find a peaceful spot,

next to another bird.

Finally comes a crow

Coming quickly to a stop,

yawning and then napping

Who will show the way?

Who will be the key?

Who will lead to the golden reward'."

"(Blink, Blink)" The group stared confused. This was going to one hell of a complicated

puzzle.

Lima wondered over to the piano, frowning as she stared at the keys. "Hey, some of there

are stained with blotches of blood."

The group turned their attention to the piano, studying the keys. It was Mimi whom came

to the conclusion.

"Genki, you said there were broken keys right?"

"Yeah? What about it?"

"A tale of birds without a voice. This small area, is stained with blood, like finger

prints...so using this area, I think we have to press the key's in the right order of which

birds they are. But...we have to press the broken key's, for the birds has no voice it would

be logical that they are the key's that don't make a sound."

"Genius!"

Mimi smiled at the compliment. "Thanks Genki...Now let's see if we can crack the

puzzle."

"Ok now let's see...the first black key is silent, and the first white key is silent, the next

black key makes a sound, and so does the next white, the other black...makes a sound,

and the next white does to, black makes a sound again, the next white...don't. The next

black....does...the white don't...and the last black...don't. All right there are five birds and

five keys that are broken, two of the birds are black so....."

Around an hour, maybe a little more passed, until Mimi figured it out.

They played the broken keys, at first nothing happened, but then a small ding hit the floor

as a golden key fell from the clock above the chalk board.

"Way to go Mimi!" Genki cheered.

The fairy-half blushed. "I guess all those Piano lessons paid off...."

*********************************

Ryan groaned, rolling over in the bed painfully. His hands reaching up to his head,

gripping his hair between his fingers as it ached mercilessly. He had felt sick from the

moment he had entered this place, but with every floor he went he got sicker and sicker.

he did not want to worry the group, so he did not say anything but right now, laying hear

like this made him feel so useless. His freinds were going up against the fight of their

lives, and hear was their leader, bed ridden and helpless. He groaned, pushing himself up

into a setting position. He got to his feet but was overcome by a sudden wave of dizziness

and collapsed back onto the bed, breathing heavily.

"Ruto, Parfait.....everyone....please hang on for just a little while longer...I promise I will

be there....I..." He passed out before he could Finnish his sentence.

************************************

The group had made it through floor twenty-seven and twenty-eight with easy puzzles and minor fights with the twisted children and once again it was a the puzzle before the boss

battle. Checking out the door they saw four squares and four empty slots. They needed to

find four more square plates and probably put them in the right order. The riddle on the

door was a color riddle, so it was easy to assume that they had to assign each line a color

and put the plates in that order. Nothing hard in doing that, but first they had to *find* the

colored squares. The riddle on the door was...

`Clouds are white,

Sky is blue,

Tangerines are orange,

Clover is green,

Violets are violet,

Dandelions are yellow

Sleep at night, night sky is black,

Blood is red.'

The white, orange, violet and black squares were already filled in meaning that they had

to find the Blue, green, yellow and red squares. Luckily, there were not many rooms on

this floor, so it would not be that hard to find the squares. The following was decided.

Genki and Mimi

Criminology room,

Study on stress,

Suicide study

Squall and Lima

Dreams,

delusions of the mind,

Phobias.

Carrie and Rose

Study on Guilt,

Anger studies,

therapy room.

Mara would stay behind in the main hall to keep an eye out for Ryan, in case he felt better

and came looking for them. She assured the group she would be find by herself. The

twisted children were not at all strong, and she would have no trouble beating them if

they attacked.

The Criminology room

Genki and Mimi walk into the room to find all the files, books and computers were

trashed and ripped to pieces, only one book was left untouched, and was laying in a pool

of blood as though it was bleeding. Genki picked it up, reading the cover that was

drenched in blood.

"The guilty...?"

" Mary Renard. This woman was punished for crimes of murder. The guilty has

been silenced, and justice has been served.'

Jason Laflamme. This man was punished for crimes of swindling. The guilty has

been silenced, and justice has been served.'

Claude Laflamme. This man was punished for crimes of swindling. The guilty has

been silenced, and justice has been served.

Pearly-Ann Hill. This woman was punished for crimes of robbery. The guilty has

been silenced, and justice has been served.

Vald Yameresa. This man was punished for crimes of child abuse and rape. The guilty has been silenced, and justice has been served.

Mimi looked at the book in confusion. "Genki what's this? Yameresa...isn't that Lemon's

last name? Mauls Yameresa?"

"Yeah, your right? Vald? Is this a relation? And I have no idea what this book is....let's

"Melika The flame. This woman was punished for crimes of murder. The guilty has

been silenced, and justice has been served.

Rock Timlit. This man was punished for crimes of murder and robbery. The guilty

has been silenced, and justice has been served.

Barret Halmet. This man was punished for crimes of murder and robbery. The

guilty has been silenced, and justice has been served.

There were hundreds of pages and thousand of names. Genki flipped to the last page of

the book, all the pages after were blank, as if waiting for more names to be filled in, all

of which had been written in blood.

Jack Danials. This man was punished for crimes of neglect. The guilty has been

silenced and justice has been served.

Joseph Barkin. This man was punished for crimes of rape, abuse, unfaithfulness and

threatening. The guilty has been silenced and justice has been served.

Walter Sullivan. This man was punished for crimes of murder. The guilty has been

silenced and justice has been served.

Cindy Harrison. This woman was punished for crimes of poisoning. The guilty has

been silenced and justice has been served.

Mimaran Due. This woman was punished for crimes of adultery. The guilty has been

silenced and justice has been served.

Dunya Brief. This woman was punished for crimes of torture and murder. The

guilty has been silenced and justice has been served.

Angela Brief. This woman was punished for crimes of jealousy. The guilty has been

silenced and justice has been served.

Kasumi Brief. This woman was punished for crimes of experimenting on living

subjects. The guilty has been silenced and justice has been served.

Susza Brief. This woman was punished for crimes of hiding the truth. The guilty has

been silenced and justice has been served.

Lisa Brief. This woman was punished for crimes of lusting after an blood relative.

The guilty has been silenced and justice has been served.

Genki dropped the book on the table, eyes huge in shock. "Oh my god...What the hell is

this? A...a death record or something? Who...Who in the hell wrote this!? Mimaran...

she's dead? I didn't like her but....." Genki's eyes wavered. "I don't know who in the hell

has such a sick sense of humor...."

"Could it be Keith?" Mimi asked slowly.

".......No....Mimi, these names...I heard of the cases involving Melika, Rock, Mary...they

happened thousands of years ago. The only reason why I know about them was because

Bra collected very old murder trails from town hall to study Criminology. No....whoever

wrote this was around far longer then Keith....Thousand of years longer then Keith."

"............What do we do about it?"

"What can we do about it? Let's go....let's just....focus on beating Saiyoua...."

"....All right....."

*************************************

Dream studies

The room was empty except for a large board with writing on it, and a chair that was

connected to a huge amount of complex machines. On the chair sat a the green square,

Squall scooped it up as Lima read the chalk board.

"What are dreams? Most people believe they are images we imagined in our head when

we sleep, caused by a days events. Others believes dreams has a special power of

predicting things, and some believe dreams are a whole new world entirely.

Everyone dreams differently then others, and everyone goes to their own different

worlds when they sleep. But what of nightmares?

Through our studies we have determent that children has less nightmares then adults. The reason? Through our studies we have concluded that dreams are made up from the

subconscious mind. Though we can hide from our thoughts while we are awake, we can't

hide from them in our dreams, and that is when our secrets in which we hid from even

our selves come to life in a hunting and frightening world of a nightmare. Nightmares

are made up of guilt, anger, jealousy, hate, fear and other negative emotions which we

have buried within ourselves, which is why adults have more nightmares then children.

Children are more innocent then us and often gets their feelings out quickly instead of

storing it away in their subconscious for it to grow and fester inside of them like a

disease."

"Hmm, I mostly dream of candy...." Lima frowned, while Squall looked thoughtful.

"....I wonder....could the black oceans be made up of feelings in our subconscious?"

Lima blinked. "Do you think so?"

"I'm not sure.....but it would make sense...."

"Hmmmmm......."

Study On Guilt Research Room

There were no squares in the room, but there was much...much...much more. All around

them written in blood on the walls, whoes surfaces were carved with agonized and

twisted looking face were the words

running out on to the floor. Neither of the girls were cowrads but both ran from the room

as quickly as they could.

Study on stress room

"Oh! Hear Genki, look, it's the yellow square." Mimi picked it up off of the counter,

while Genki wondered around the room, stopping at a desk and picking up a sheet of

paper.

"Genki? What's that?"

"It was setting at my desk, it's from my sister, Maria...."

"Genki I leave this to you, to tell you to be careful. Do not trust a single word Tenki says

to you. He killed our parents and Keith's. He cut their breaks...I don't know why. He

wants the Goddess Saiyoua to be revived, he wanted it all along, but he also has a

agenda of his own....he is planning something he called it, a world `Revolution.' I don't

know what that means, but if your reading this then run away from this place at once. I

know I teased you alot, and I wasn't the nicest eldest sister, but I don't want you hurt,

please go before your turned into a machine as well.

~Maria~"

Genki sat the note back down, brown eyes shimmering. "Maria....."

"Genki....." Mimi said sympathetic.

".....I'm all right....lets...lets go."

Study on delusions of the mind

".....Woah....." Squall and Lima breathed as they walked into the room, everything rust,

blood, and darkness. The room was pitch black, they could not see a single thing, and on

top of that they were walking ankle deep in some kind of liquid, perhaps, water?

"I can't see anything...wahhh!!!" Lima cried out as she stumbled, falling into the wet

substance. "Ewww....it's sticky down hear....what is this stuff....?"

"I'll try to find a light switch." Squall stumbled around the room, finding a switch on the

wall and clicking it on. Light filled the room as did an ear piecing scream.

"AHHHH!!!!" Lima cried out paralyzed, trembling, eyes small in fear, Squall stood still

mouth hanging open eyes wide. The floor was covered in blood.

Lima was in a half fallen Position, holding herself up with two shaking arms, the end of

her hair, front of the dress, legs, and arms covered in the blood in which she fallen in.

"Lima, are you all right." Squall knelt down next to her.

"I....I don't...like this...I...." Lima sobbed, throwing her arms around him for support as

she cried. "I'm so scared, Squall!!"

Surprisingly enough, Squall held her back, trying to comfort her. "I'm scared too...we all

are"

**************************************

The anger studies room

The room was trashed, as though someone in a fit of rage had stormed threw it and

destroyed everything, there was a book on the desk, but it was blank, each and every

page.

"Come on, there is nothing hear."

"Ok."

The suicide study room

They entered, finding the room neat and tidy, an welcome change of pace. Next to a

potted plant sat the blue square. They wondered around the room a little bit, finding a

computer left on, it was Bra's, writing was on the screen.

" I still fail in finding just what causes a few people to commit suicide. Is it because of a

gene? A state of mind? Or maybe they just can't handle with stress as good as others.

Every suicide patent is different....that is for certain. and reasons for them wanting to

take their lives are all very different.

Today my patient Becky Simpson, age 15, killed herself, jumping off of her apartment.

She was getting better....I thought she was recovering but....The death of a patient,

especially threw suicide is always very hard.

But today of all people, my own little brother! Keith can home early to find him laying

in his bed, both wrists cut with a kitchen knife. Keith had carried him down to me in my

room in a panic. We saved him...just in time. We all are a shocked about this, I mean,

Genki of all people...he was always so care free and happy, he never acted like anything

was troubling him....so what? What could have caused him to....to try and kill himself?

Why....?

"What?" Mimi exclaimed alarmed, setting infront of the computer, eyes wide. Quickly

she went to the file of patients, as if by instinct she knew, and she clicked on his name

dispite his protests and began to read. If it had been anyone else, Genki would have

pulled them away from the computer, but he could not bring himself to apply even the

slightest bit of force to Mimi's little body and standing guiltily like a child caught

stealing out of the cookie jar, and let her read.

Suicide attempt number 1

April 4th

14 years of age

Genki staid in his room almost all day long, that night Keith left to go on a date, but

came back early from it, and stormed off to the room he and Genki shared. Moments

later I heard a cry of surprise and Keith was at my door, holding a bleeding and limp

Genki in his arms. He had cut his wrists and threw an emergency blood transfusion, once

again supplied by Keith, we were able to save him. Genki refuses to talk about it, and has

become a bit isolated from us.

Keith told me that before he left the house Genki was acting rather strangely, just laying

on his bed, staring at the ceiling as though in a trance. Keith told me he spoke to him, but

he only made mumbles in replies. When walking in the room, Keith found him laying in

much the same position, and had approached her worriedly, then spotted an knife

laying next to the bed, blood dripping down his arms. None of us has any idea what could of forced him to such a sudden and rash decision.

Suicide attempt number 2

June 18th

14 years of age

Two months after the first attempt, he began showing signs of recovery, and began acting

like himself again. That night, Keith woke up to a noise and saw Genki leaving the bed

room, he followed him up to the top floor of the building, think he was sleep walking.

Keith told me that he had went right to the balcony, looked down at Angeles for a

moment, before stepping over, holding on to the railing, to stop himself from falling.

Keith called out to him, and he let go of the railing, Keith had told me that he had rushed

forward and grabbed his arm just in time and pulled him back up. They got into a little

scuffle but Keith knocked Genki out and brought him to me. Genki refuses to say a word

about it.

Suicide attempt number 3

February 3rd

15 years of age

Holly walked into the room to find that Genki had stabbed himself with a knife, it was

wound that went deep into the chest. Though it was serious we were able to save him. We are just lucky Holly was around to find him, because Keith is away at school...I sent a letter to Keith, telling him about it and he suggested Genki come to Marlo magic school for an year or two so he could keep an eye out on him. I think it's the best choice.

Mimi pushed away from the computer, eyes wide, pale, unmoving.

"Mimi...." Genki began, but was not able to finnish as the fairy-half turned he shocked

gaze on him.

"Genki....what? Why.....?" She asked, voice sounding genuinely hurt.

"..............." Genki sighed deeply, breathing in heavily. "I could not face it...."

"Face it....?"

"What I was.....I knew....since I was ten that I was an `Angel' that I had Saiyoua's and

Key's cells inside of me....that I had an horrible destiny and faith awaiting me....I was

told of it by Messiha....Mimi can you keep a secret?"

"Yes."

"As Keith is a part of Saiyoua, and whoever the second clone is, is probably part of

Key....I am part of neither of the goddesses of light or dark, but a part of Messiha. The

cells in me...became hers. I am part of the goddess of the life stream...I....hate my faith...I

just wanted to be normal. I tried to kill myself to escape from it....to maybe get all that

disgusting goddess cell filled blood out of my veins, to be human again...but I stopped

running....I have to accept what destiny has in store for me...."

"Part of the goddess, Messiha?" Mimi repeated bewildered. "Genki, is Messiha made up

of Saiyoua and Key?"

"No....she was made up by the souls of people, good and bad that died, and was created by the life stream...or maybe she created the life stream, I don't know. But the reason why I'm a part of Meissah was because I died when I was ten and she brought me back to life. Ever since then....I became a part of her. She was the one that created the Goddess stone, and therefore it is also part of her as well. She disapeared...Messiah, but sometimes I can still hear her in my head." Genki sighed. "All I ever wanted as to be human, a regular boy, but I know I have to accept my faith."

".............." Mimi was silent in thought. "Genki?"

"Yeah...?"

"Your still human to me."

"...." Genki smiled. "Thank you, Mimi."

Phobias study room

".........There is nothing hear." Squall pointed out after searching the room.

"Ok." Lima answered quietly, still frightened, looking down at the blood which stained

her body

The Therapy Room

"Oh my god...." Rose breathed in shock, as Carrie just stood frozen. Bodies hung nailed

to the wall, and laid scattered on the floor, all horribly killed.

"THE GUILTY HAS BEEN SILENCED. JUSTICE HAS BEEN SERVED."

Was written across the ceiling in big bloody letters.

"....Over there, there is the red block..." Carrie trembled, seeing the red square in the grip

of one of the dead.

"......You expect me to go take it?" Rose asked applauded. Carrie gave her a pleading

look and the woman shifted uneasily before giving in. "All right.....I'll get it."

Rose carefully approached the body, and hurriedly took the square out of the dead man's

fist and ran from the room, Carrie following behind her.

*****************************************

They solved the puzzle and went threw the door, on the thirty floor of the building they

were greeted in the main hall by Lisa's twin Leif-fang. She did not utter a word, just

attacked, clumsily, and weakly, and did not even utter a word as she died, hre expression

did not even show any pain. It was like they killed an.......machine.

They walked into the 31st floor hall and gasped as standing at the end of the hall was...

"Nagisa!?" Mimi, Genki and Mara exclaimed together.

"Shhhh." The girl hushed, walking up to Genki and handing him four keys. " If Lord

Keith finds out I gave you these he will kill me....and hurt Arisu."

"Why?" Genki began confused.

Nagisa shook her head, closeing her eyes as she tried to hold back a few tears. "Genki,

you know I love Lord Keith more then anything else in this world but... This evil witch

Saiyoua has completely changed him. If she is destroyed maybe the man I love will come

back. Please, you guys have to destory her, for Keith."

"........We will, we will destory Saiyoua....for everyone."

"Thank you. Until then, even though he is not the same, I will stay by Lord Keith's side, along with Arisu. Becareful, and....good luck."

"Thank you, Nagisa..." Genki trailed off, watching the girl dash past them and run threw

a door.

"Poor Nagisa...." Mimi trailed off with pity.

""Why can't Keith just wake up and see what he's doing? Damn that stupid idiot." Mara

cursed.

"These are the keys for the next four floors.....Let's go."

**********************************

Once again on the 35th floor an Brief family member was waiting for them in the hall.

The girl back turned to them, short brown hair, reaching the middle of her slender neck,

the ends died orange. She wore a small dark orange belly button short, and long sleeved,

short shirt laid opened over it, and she wore a black spotted, orange mini-skirt along with

knee high orange boots. She twisted around hearing their approach, brown eyes, shaded

with orange eye shadow widening, lips covered in an light orange lip stick growing into a

smile. She dashed forward, throwing her arms happily around Genki.

"Oh!! Genki! I'm SO glad your all right!"

"...M...Maria?"

"Oh, I'm sorry!" She apologized, unwrapping her arms from around him. "I forgot about

my android arms, I didn't hurt you, did I?"

"Maria, you aren't like the rest?"

".....No.......I....Something went wrong when they turned me into an android.

Tenki....Tenki the clumsy idiot injected me with Centan, instead of Kamertion. I thought

for sure I'd go crazy, but....I didn't. Or at least I don't think I did.... odd. Oh well." Mara almost laughed in relief about

something. "I faked being under Tenki's control...but simply being turned into an

Android does not wipe away a person's mind....and even a machine can feel things."

"Thank god, Maria, all our other sisters, Kasumi, Dunya, Zusza, Angela, Leif-fang, and

Lisa..."

"I know, you had to kill them. Tenki was laughing about it, that bastard. Genki is Bra all

right? And Holly? Did you find Aria? I...I was watching her, keeping her safe from Tenki

and the other people around hear....but....She went with this strange man with red hair,

and....then she came back hear, but I don't know where she hid. She said she was waiting

for you to come back."

"Aria is safe. I found her and she left, she's at Bra's. Bra is fine, and is working hard

trying to find a cure for Kamertion and Holly.....she is like an unmoving doll. She just

lays there....like a corpse."

"Holly...." Maria whimpered. "Genki! I think I know the cure for Kamertion. I had made

some...it wasn't completed, but it's in my office...and..."

"The beaker was smashed on the floor, but we picked up the contents and put them in

these jars." Squall stepped forward, producing the two jars filled with the liquid.

Maria's face practically shone. "That's wonderful!! I need to get out of hear and back to

Bra right away! This may be our only hope for curing all these people. I might be crazy

because of the Centan, but I know with this that we can find the cure." She took one of

the jars in her hands. "You guys keep one....I don't know, but in case, you get attacked by

Keith or something. Though it is far from completed, it will cause some damage to

people with Kamertion in them."

"All right...." Squall nodded slowly.

"Maria...do you know how to get out of hear?"

"Uhhh....no."

"Rose..." Genki looked at her pleading. "Your strong, and you can protect her....I know

you want to fight Saiyoua but could you....?"

"I understand." Rose nodded. "I will get your sister out of hear safely and to Bra. I know

I am strong....but I know I can't hope to defeat a god with a little knife. I'll help gaia by

help saving the people. Good luck."

"Thanks Rose. Maria, I'm glad....I'm glad I did not have to fight you."

The girl smiled. "Genki, I want you to know...I may of picked on you alot, and treated

you like dirt, but I want you to know I love you."

"I love you to, Maria."

"Oh yeah, don't forget this!" Maria smiled, tossing him the key around her neck. "Take

care of yourself!!"

The group watched as Rose and Maria left and turned to each other.

"It's down to six of us." Carrie spoke.

"I hope Rya feels better soon..." Mara trailed off worriedly.

"Should we wait for him?" Lima asked unsure.

"If we wait....Saiyoua might regain her power. Alex did us a great favor, sacrificing

himself to cut off Saiyoua's flow of Magention. We should attack her while she is still

weakened." Squall pointed out.

"But, Ryan is the guardian of light. How can we hope to win without him?" Mimi argued.

"........I think we should continued a little more...defeat the enemies up ahead. That

way...in case he is still ill he wont waste energy on weaker opponents." Genki concluded.

The group nodded, agreeing with him. They opened the door and stepped onto the 36th

floor. Everything took on a horrific change. Everything was twisted looks and like

screeching noises as though nails on a chalk board surrounded them. On the floor was a

book, titled `Alice and the looking glass.' looking at it they found that it was a regular

story book. They walked down the metal grating floor and stopped when they came to the

door. On two holders next to it sat and flimsy leather glove and a solid golden glove. On

the door it read, `Choose one whom will protect you best.'

"Wow, the gold one looks pretty." Lima commented.

"It sure does." Mara smiled, tapping it with her finger. "It feels like real gold."

"Well....gold sure does look like it would protect better then leather." Mimi commented.

".........." Carrie frowned.

Genki reached out about to take the gold. "I guess your right, I wonder what kind of

puzzle this is..."

"Wait!" Carrie exclaimed.

"Hmmm?"

"Alice in wonder land....threw the looking glass, everything is opposite in the mirror."

She pointed out.

"Your right." Mimi commented. "Genki, do you think that book means anything?"

"Perhaps....the gold does seem to much like the obvious choice....ok, leather." Genki

switched his choice, slipping the leather glove onto his hand, he turned the door knob,

and it opened with ease, and the group stepped in the next room. The hallway was just

like the one before it, and at the door instead of resting to gloves, two pots rested on the

ground, in one was water, a key at the bottom of it, in the other was burning fire, a key

also rested in the bottom of that.

"I guess we have to pick the right key...." Mimi frowned.

"Well, I don't know about you, but I think I prefer to stick my hand in water, instead of

fire, even with protection or not." Genki looked afraid. "But....it's through the looking glass right?" Squeezing his eyes shut he put his gloved hand into the fire, expecting great pain,

but felt nothing. His face flashed in confusion, looking at the fire in disbelief....his hand

was in the flames, but it was wet and cool....like water. Curiously, he put his other hand

over the pot with water and felt heat. He picked the key out of the fire and turned to

Carrie.

"Carrie, thanks. I would of lost my hand if not for you."

"Your welcome."

**************************************

The group continued down the next hall, finding a door engraved with the words

"Choose a guide." and two statues, one of an heavenly looking angle, holding a spear, as

if guarding the gates of Eden, and the other a brutal, snarling devil, also holding a

weapon, looking as though you would find him walking in the gates of hell. Both of their

hands were out, as if wanting an handshake. Above the door was written. "This room is

mirror opposite then all the others."

"....I guess we have to pick one of the statues...." Mimi looked between the two. " I know

the safest looking one is the angel...but it's a mirror, right? So I guess we choose the

devil."

"Yup! Guess so. Do I have to shake it's hand or something." Genki reached out, cocking

his head to the side, when Carrie cried out to him to stop.

"Genki! Pay attention. The words above the door say `This room is mirror opposite then

all the others.' So that means that this room, things should be normal. It's the Angel!"

"What? Are you sure?" Genki looked uncertain.

"Positive." Carrie walked forward, taking the Angel statue's hand, the group blanched

frightened, but sighed in relief as the door slid opened.

"Whew...." Genki breathed. "Thanks again, Carrie."

"Your welcome, again Genki."

The next hall was....well, it couldn't even be called a hall. There was two bridges,

crossing over a large gap in the floor, over on the other side where there was a door. Now

when we say two bridges we meant, one was an ordinary bridge and the other only had

the two bridge posts and nothing else after it.

Genki looked between the two nervously. `I know there going to make me go first....ok,

the normal bridge seems like the logical choice.....why does that not reassure me? I can't

fly, they probably have a vacuum over this hole too. Ok, so I'm just going to go try to

walk on air.'

"Ok! If I fall to my doom, kick my brother's and Keith's ass for me, all right?" Genki

said approaching, non-existing bridge.

"Genki, becareful!" Mimi exclaimed, fearfully.

"I will!" He called back. `As much as a person that's about to attempt walking on thin air

can be.' he added mentally.

Closeing his eyes he spread out his arms and took a step forward, feeling his heart, rising

in his chest. His friends looked away fearfully, covering their eyes. The boy stood frozen

for a moment but then smiled. Though it looked he was standing on air, he could feel

something solid beneath his feet.

"Guys!" He exclaimed. "I'm all right!"

His friends cheered him, and after he safely got across, followed one at a time, turning

towards the door, Genki clenched his fists.

"Ok...Elisabeth...I know your in there...Machine or not, I'm going to take you down for

your horrible ways!"

***********************************

In the large hall, Elisabeth was waiting for them, curly brown hair cascading down her

back, brown eyes glinting evily as a smile spread slowly over her red painted lips.

"Genki...so you showed up. Are you so intent on killing me like our other sisters? I'll give you

a chance, don't be a traitor like Bra, Holly and Maria. Come with me, Tenki will turn you

into a machine like us and you can join the family again."

"No way."

"Crazy little dear...I see why you and Holly refuse to join us, your both crazy because of

Dunya."

"What?" Genki asked confused.

"Don't you remember `Oh, brother, sister.' " Elisabeth mimicked Dunya. " `Come hear,

get you flu shot!' What she really did was inject you with Centan!"

"Huh!?"

"Yup, Maria was injected with Centan to. Hmm....all the traitors are crazy and Bra she is

using you! Stupid little brother! Brainless little Genki."

The boy growled. "Well, I rather be a brainless fool then an heartless monster like you."

"....Really is that so?" Elisabeth eyed him coldly. "Well, let's see if you still think that

way when I kill you! YAHHH!!!" She screamed dashing forward, taking a large knife she

had from behind her back, and pointing it at his heart. Genki ducked, sending a kick to

her stomach, causing her to stagger backwards.

"MAGICAL BEAMS OF LIGHT!!" Carrie exclaimed, the attacks crashing into her.

Elisabeth was far from giving up though, and summoning a magical attack of her own

she attacked the group.

"DARK JOKER!!!!"

The black magic crashed into Mimi, Carrie, Squall, Lima and Mara causing them all to

black out, leaving only Genki to do battle. The boy stared at his friends horrified, turning

back to his sister with an growl.

She smirked. "This is family business."

"You....BITCH!!!" Genki hissed dashing forward, throwing a punch to her face, she

countered by taking the knife and stabbing him in the side. He groaned, clutching the

wound but was far from giving up.

"KAMHA!!!" He cried out firing an energy blast at Elisabeth, she dodged it laughing, but

as she gloated she ended up getting him with another. Clutching her face she sneered.

"My beautiful face! You will pay!! Evil chain!" She exclaimed, a whip of black magic,

extending from her hand, as she brought it up into the air, and brought it back down on

Genki, full force. He was slammed to the ground with a groan, but quickly got to his feet,

doing a cartwheel, he hooked his legs around her neck and threw her up into the air,

pushing himself with both hands off the ground, he used his feet to slammed into her

back before she hit the ground. She crashed on to the metal grating, and with an hiss

summoned a black spear of energy, which Genki barely had enough time to dodged. They

continued to battle each other, neither getting the advantage over the other until, Genki

made on small clumsy slip up. Take a second's advantage, Elisabeth stabbed him five

time sin the stomach. He staggered back wards, painfully, hanging on to his stomach,

trembling, blood flowing from the wound, he opened his mouth allowing a flow of

crimson blood to fall form his mouth into a puddle on the floor.

"Is your little flesh getting hurt? I told you, you should become an android like us..."

"I'll....die before."

"Why? Is your flesh that important to you?"

"It what makes me....human...." Genki's voice became pained. "Maybe...ok, maybe I am

no longer human....but I will never hurt my friends, the people I care about and love...but

if I become a machine....I will hurt them...AND I WILL NEVER HARM ANYONE I

LOVE!!!!YAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!" He screamed as he powered up,

glowing sliver, his angel wing extending from his back.

"Wha...Wha....What in the world!?" Elisabeth backed away startled.

"YAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!" He screamed

charging up his attack, aiming a large ball of energy at Elisabeth. "NOW SUFFER FOR

ALL THE PEOPLE YOU'VE KILLED!!!!!!!! DEATHS EMBRACE!!!!!!"

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" Elisabeth screamed, shielding he eyes as sliver

energy engulfed her, ripping her to shreds. Genki powered down, falling to his knees

breathing heavily. Around him the blood Elisabeth's body left behind gathered together,

forming a few large letters on the floor. It read....

"Elisabeth Brief. This woman has been punished for crimes of torture and murder.

The guilty has been silenced and justice as been served."

He bowed his head, sadly, the sliver glow and his wing left his body, the glow surrounded

his friends, healing them and slowly they began to wake up.

"Genki?" Mimi asked concerned, walking up to him.

"......Everyone...let's go..." He got to his feet, picked the key that had been around

Elisabeth's neck out of the blood, and walked slowly and weakly towards the door, an

drained expression plastered on his face.

*********************************

Ryan groaned, looking around himself, he was in the dark ocean, he could see his

mirror-self again, brown skin, red hair, green eyes, his demon-self.

"So....are you just going to lay hear and let you friends fight?" His other self added.

"No...Of course not. I...I want to go an help them....but my body....I have hardly any

strength...."

"Oh, so you'll let them all die, right?"

"NO!!"

"You let Alex die."

"........."

"You let Colt get crippled...you let Lemon get hurt."

"............." Ryan's face flashed with guilt but his other self did not stop.

"You let Parfait get kidnapped. Who knows what happened to her. She may even have been one of those twisted children, or lesser demons you killed."

".......!!" Ryan's eyes began to water, and he started to tremble.

"And Ruto, is it wasn't for you, she would be safe now."

"....No....."

"You know it's true, Ryan It's very true, but keep on telling yourself it's not."

"....WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!?" Ryan growled, dashing forward grabbing his other

self by the collar of his shirt.

"I am Ryan."

"LIAR!!!"

"It is you who is the liar, and the impostor." The demon version of Ryan laughed

disappearing, leaving Ryan alone in the darkness.

"RYAN!!!!"

He twisted around to see Ruto and Parfait running towards him, as though searching for

him, but no matter how fast they ran they weren't getting in closer.

"RYAN!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!" Parfait whimpered.

"RYAN!!!" Ruto called.

"RUTO! PARFAIT!!" He dashed forward, trying to get near them, but as though an

invisible wall were in their was they could not get any closer to each other.

"RYAN!! HELP US!!!" Both screamed together then disappeared.

***************************************

Ryan sat up in bed, shaking fearfully. He looked around himself, everything was how it

was when he fell asleep. With a groan he got to both his feet.

"I have to go help my friends, Parfait, Ruto and everyone. I wont let anymore of my

friends down." Forcefully he made himself walk, ignoring the intense pain in his body.

He had to be there for them, like they were there for him.

****************************************

The group had made there was past the next for floors, stepping into the 45th hall, they

followed signs that were sat up and walked into a room with an huge TV. It was an large

room, big enough to house 30 people, and all have enough room.

"Where is the enemy?" Squall asked looking around.

"I don't know...." Genki frowned.

The TV came to life, startling them on the screen, show a man whom looked alot like an

older version of Genki, except with glasses. He smirked meanly at them, almost

mockingly.

"Well...Well...Well....welcome, said the spider to the fly. Genki, it's to bad you did not

want to join us, your going to cause my master plan a great problem, but oh well, I'll take

care of you eventually."

"TENKI!!!!" Genki screamed, balling his fists together. "WHY!? WHY DID YOU DO

IT!? WHY DID YOU KILL OUR PARENTS!? WHY DID YOU TURN OUR SISTERS

TO MACHINES!? WHY....!? WHY DO YOU WANT TO DESTROY GAIA!!?"

"Little brother, there is so much you don't understand. Why I did this? You want a

reason? Well how's this for a reason. I wa sick of being the under dog. The second born,

always looked down apon, dispite how smart I was. Bra always got the praise, she was

always better then I....I could never measure up to her, and our parents....they never

treated me with respect...it was always, 'do what your sister says',' Bra knows best', 'if you don't know something, ask Bra."

"............."

"I was sick of it...but then....I met Taromecika....and I loved the plan of reawakening the

goddess. But...our parents and Keith's wanted to interfere, but I got rid of them, but that

was not enough....I wanted to break Bra's heart....I wanted to crush her. So what better

way then to do that then, to kill the person who mattered most to her, but that was a

mistake, I ended up having you get a transfusion from Keith, and now your a part of the

goddesses to."

Genki's face drained of color. "You.....that night......the person that tried to kill me.....it

was you....?"

"You sound hurt. Ohhh, poor baby boy. Baby of the family, always crying to Bra when

ever anything went wrong. Are you going to run to her now? Or act like a man?"

"Tenki...I swear.....someday, you will pay for this." Genki's voice shook.

"....Really, well I just don't see that happening. So long little brother, if we meet another

day, let's see if your words are true." The image on the screen vanished leaving Genki

screaming

"TENKI DAMN YOU!!!"

"................"

The group stood in silence, not knowing what to do or say when a voice came from the

shadows of the room.

"Demon spear!!" a voice shouted.

The group twisted around in a terror, an huge spear of energy came flying out of the

darkness, Hikari stood in the shadows, green eyes gleaming. Mimi's eyes went wide as

she saw the attack heading straight for her, with no time to move, she shrieked, shielding

her face with her arms.

"MIMI!!!" Genki screamed, dashing infront of her.

The group gasped in horror and fright, while Mimi cried out in plea. "NOOO!!!

GENKI!!!"

The boy's eyes went huge, as the spear entered threw his chest, piercing his heart, and

came out threw his back.

"NOOOO!!! GENKI!!!!!" Mimi sobbed as the boy fell on his knees, then to his back.

Ryan came dashing into the room, freezing in terror, eyes going small as he saw Mimi

holding Genki's bleeding body in her arms.

"Genki!! Genki!!" She sobbed.

The body was shivering, as though cold, blood flowing from the large wound in his chest.

Already his skin had gone pale and his eyes began to grow distant.

"....Are you ok, Mimi....?" He asked weakly.

"Gen...Genki...." She sobbed, her tears falling on to his face.

"Don....don't cry...Mimi.....I'd.....hate...t....to...see you cry....be...because of...me." He

reached up painfully brushing a tear away from her eyes.

"Genki....please...you promised me you wouldn't die...."

"....Guess....th....this....wi...will...be...the first promise I ever break...S...s...sorry... I'm....cold....and it....it...hurts....but....I'm happy....I'm...going to die saving....saving you."

Mimi could not form any words, she was to busy crying, trembling all over.

".....I....only wish....I could help you guys...kick Saiyoua's ass.....oh well.....guys....I

....have to tell you this now....something else....evil is going to happen....not....now....but

someday....soon...promise me....you will fight...then too, to save Gaia and Earth.........."

"Genki, please don't talk like that. Stop talking as though you life is over. I'll use my

healing magic on you...and everything will be all right...Please Genki hang on, I don't

want you to go! Don't leave me!" Mimi sobbed.

Genki smiled weakly, looking into her eyes. "Mimi.....I always....I always loved you....I

was just always to afraid to tell you....damn...I have terrible timing huh?...." He shivered

violently. "Well....I guess it doesn't matter now...everyone....good....goodbye....I love you all...my friends...Mimi....don't....don't...be...alone....live...and....be...happy." his head

fell to his side, and his breathing stopped. The fiery fighter that had once been filled with

so much life, hopes, happiness and dreams, had died, leaving behind a few tears as fire

would leave behind only smoke.

"GENKI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Mimi screamed, tears rolling down her cheeks before

collapsing onto his chest, crying her heart out.

************************************

Aria's eyes went wide in shock, and the portrait of the Brief family fell of the wall and

smashed. Bra turned to it startled, and saw the image of Genki in the picture had been

ripped by the glass. Her eyes filled with tears and she fell to her knees cradling the

picture in her arms, sobbing.

***************************************

`A game...' Ryan thought trembling all over. `Keith called this all a game....it's a game

all right. Do you want to play? No? Well, you have no choice. We'll put you and your

friends as playing pieces on an huge chess board and see you try not to get killed. We will

hunt down and kill everyone you care about, leaving you for the last to see them all die,

because you were not able to protect them, because you are just a useless pawn. Yes, this

is a game...it's all just one big game.'

The group cried, tears falling down all their faces. They were so lost in grief they almost

didn't notice Cid's, Amy's, and Kim's orbs had left the bags in which Mimi, Genki and

Ryan had stored them. Genki's body shimmered silver and a silver orb, shining brightly

lift his body. All four orbs glowed with light and a small golden statue, an red, blue and

gold stones circling around it, and a shimmering sliver one rested on top, framed by

ivory wings appeared, floating in mid air, above Genki's body.

"The goddess stone...." Hikari gasped.

***********************************

Saiyoua's eyes went wide. "The goddess stone it has been discovered!"

************************************

Keith's eyes snapped opened wide, freezeing in shock. "Genki's dead...........He had the last stone....Genki...."

***************************************

Ryan sobbed out painfully. "I was not there for them...Alex, Colt, Lemon and now

Genki...all my friends are being hurt...."

Mimi looked up at Hikari, who began to approach them, she growled, eyes filled with

hate and pain.

"Ryan, she's the one who killed Genki...."

"I hear you! I was not there to stop the death of my friend, but I will avenge it!" Ryan

grabbed his sword and dashed towards Hikari, the blade of his sword ready for the kill.

The demon-woman gasped in fright as she saw the sword coming inches near her heart.

All what Ryan saw was blinding rage and hate, he would kill this woman, he would kill

her! It was like he was moving in slow monition even though he was moving quickly, the

face of his terrified victim, the only thing he could see.

Ryan!! stop!

He could hear Ruto's voice in his head, his eyes became wider in surprise and suddenly,

as he gazed at Hikari, it was not the form of the evil demon he saw looking at him in

terror, but that of his own little sister.

The blade stopped, the point touching Hikari's chest. The woman trembling, a nervous and confused

looking expression spreading over her face as to why he didn't finnish the attack. Ryan's

voice whispered as he spoke out in shock.

"Parfait..."

The goddess stone shimmered as did the talisman of light, the light surrounded Hikari,

blinding all their visions but when it cleared what they saw shocked them. Hikari was

gone and in his arms Ryan held his little sister, Parfait.
