Aki yawned and rolled over onto his side, throwing one arm over the edge of his bed, his fingertips brushing the soft carpet on the floor. He could smell the faint scent of pine floating through the dorm room and smiled sleepily to himself. Christmas morning…the very best morning ever. Lifting his eyes to look at the bed beside him he saw his fellow Quidditch player and team captain sleeping silently still. His smile turned into a soft frown as he sat up, stretching his arms above his head in a huge stretch. Jordan cried himself to sleep again…I wish he would tell me what was bothering him…His frown vanished as he heard the other Quidditch players starting to wake.

(AN: In Bretton Academy there are four different dorms. One for the Quidditch players, one for the top ranking students, one for the regular students and one for the first years. Bretton is also a very exclusive school and maybe takes in 5 new students each year. There are only 300 students in the whole school)

"Morning Aki," Donovan greeted him as he sat up, inhaling the smell of pine. Aki smiled and nodded. The noise of Jordan shifting around made him turn to look at his friend.

"Hey Jordan," he said with a smile. Jordan smiled back and shook back his now chin length bangs. Tucking them behind his ears Jordan slid out of bed, not bothering to throw a shirt on he just dressed in jeans and headed down to the Christmas tree he new was in the QT (Quidditch Team) common room. Aki laughed and followed after him, along with the other Quidditch players.

It took a good two hours before all the gifts had been handed out and unwrapped, piles of wrapping paper strung all over the room. Jordan was hugging a super soft puppy plushy to his chest as he admired his other gifts. The plush toy had been a present from Aki and was the first thing he unwrapped.

As the team went and got dressed Aki pulled a thin envelope from his pocket and handed it over to Jordan.

"What's this?" Jordan asked as he opened up the letter. His eyes widened as he immediately recognized the neat printing on the paper inside. His eyes locked with Aki, who only smiled and nodded.

"But…how? When? Why?" was all Jordan could ask.

"Daimion sent me a letter last week, telling me to give this one to you only on Christmas morning," Aki replied and sat down on the couch where Jordan was sitting. The dark haired boy threw his arms around Aki's neck and hugged him tightly, nearly in tears as his friend held him.

"Thank you…" he sniffled into Aki's shoulder. Aki patted his back and pushed him away gently.

"Well read it already," he instructed the boy. Jordan blushed a deep pink color, seeing as how he had forgotten he was holding the letter in the first place. Slowly he read over the letter

Hey lover,

Bet you never counted on hearing from me again huh? Well surprise! Merry Christmas and all that good stuff. I hope Aki remembered to give this to you on Christmas morning like Tristan told him to. Yeah, Tristan was in on this. Since him and Aki are really close he said that he would send the letter to Aki who would give it to you. Mostly to stop Kalin from getting suspicious of us. It works good. Just give your letter to me to Aki and he'll send it to Tristan who'll get it to me. Whoa, that's complicated, think you can handle it? Yeah, I know you can. Well this has to be quick and short lover, I expect Kalin to come for me soon. He's an asshole Jordan. One day I'll get away from him and come to you. But as of now, I am his. I did it for you, to keep you safe. Always remember I love you and one day I will come and finds you.

Love always and forever,

Daimion

Jordan smiled to himself and fell back against the couch, still holding the plush puppy against his chest as he set the letter down beside him.

"If I write a letter now will you send it for me Aki?" he asked, looking over at his friend. Aki smiled and nodded, already holding a quill, some ink and a piece of parchment paper.

"Get writing lover boy," he said, teasing Jordan like he always did. "Maybe if you hurry we can get the letter back to him by the end of today." Jordan grinned, pulled a table up to him and got writing.

Daimion!

It was so great to hear from you. I'm happy to know I can at least write to you now without fearing that Kalin will hurt you if he finds out. I know he won't, find out that is. We'll all be very careful about these letters. Merry Christmas to you too, I hope you're enjoying yourself on this great day. I love you so much Daimion. Please be careful and try not to upset Kalin too much. I hope to see you very soon because I know you will find a way to get away from him. Hugs and kisses from me.

I love you,

Jordan

Giving the letter a quick kiss Jordan folded it and handed it over to Aki.

"I promise everything will be ok Jordan," Aki said gently and set a comforting hand on the green eyed boys shoulder. Jordan said nothing. He just pulled his knees against his chest and set his head on them. Aki sighed and patted his back before sprinting out the door to send Jordan's letter.

"Oh Daimion…I need you…so much…" Jordan sobbed into the soft fur on the stuffed dog he was holding. "I don't know how much longer I can last…"

Oh no! Is Jordan thinking of committing suicide? Or will Daimion's letters be enough to save the boy from his depression. Questions? Comments? Find out what's happening in the next chapter!
