Chapter 15
"The Cave of the Fairy Queen"
---------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------
"Nala round up the remained of my army, we're going to the Fairy Kingdom," said
Katie.
"Yes, my queen," Nala replied with a bow.
(
"Is this it?" said Diana as they approached a door on the mountain side.
The door was made out of white marble and craved in it beautifully was flowers
and butterflies. And in the middle of it was some Mecviu words.
"Mraz az mru nacob juzmacv gbosu en mru qubewut liuuc en mru noajauz. Ecbh mrezu
kre kuju srezue xoh xcmuj," read Stry.
"What does it mean?" Kismet asked.
"This is the final resting place of the beloved queen of the fairies. Only those
who were chosen may enter," Ruby replied.
"So can we go in?" asked Allie.
"I don't know," said Stry.
"Sure we can. It said those who were chosen may enter. We were chosen to be
holders of the king's weapon, so we could," said Diana.
"Maybe," said Ruby as she touched it. Then the crystal diamond came out of her
hand and separated into two jewels. The light crystal fell into her hand and the
diamond went into a hole in the door and the door fell opened.
"I guess we were chosen," she said.
"Let's go in then," said Diana.
They walked in and half a mile in the cave spilt into two ways. In the middle of
the spilt was a sign covered with dirt.
Kismet walked up to it and wiped the dirt off.
"Those who are chosen know which way to go," Kismet read.
"Okay. So Kismet which way," said Diana.
"I don't know. Maybe," he pulled out the Sword of the Fairy Queen, "Sword of my
queen show me the way to her."
The sword moved side to side seeing which way to go then it point to the right
side.
"That way, I guess," Kismet said as he put away the sword.
"Then after you," said Diana.
They walked a mile when they reached a dead end.
"I guess you were wrong," said Danny.
"Look on the wall," said Ruby, "Who controls the elements may pass. I guess that
means you Diana. You hold the Bow of the Elements."
"But what do I do?" asked Diana.
"Diana come back here," said King Robert.
"Why?" she asked as she walked towards him.
"Look on the wall. It's a target."
"You're right. Everyone stand back. Arrow of Fire."
She shot the arrow right in the bull-eyes. Then she shot the arrow of water,
wind, and earth in the bull-eyes too. After the last one a door opened.
"After you, Diana," said Kismet as she walked past him.
After any mile, they came to a deep drop and the other side was too far away to
jump across.
"What do we do know?" said Allie.
"Look here," said Danny looking at some writing on the ground, "The river Depth
you must pass."
"The Depth River been dried out for many, many years, so how we going to cross
it," said Kismet.
"This is the Depth River, but now it's a very deep canyon," said Wanderer.
"Wait, does Stry have the Daggers of the Weather?" said Diana.
"Yeah, why?" Stry replied.
"Can you make a rain storm to make the river running again?"
"I think so. Let me try," he pulled out the daggers and raised them over his
head, "Rain Storm of the Coast."
Thousands dark rain clouds filled the top to the cavern over the canyon. Then
they poured out the rain from them raising the river, but in the middle of the
canyon the rain hit something and fell off it.
"Look it's a bridge," said Cleini.
"It was hidden. Clever," said Wanderer.
After a fifteen minutes the rain stopped and the river was running again.
"Cross carefully," said Stry, "It's wet, so it's going to be slippery, but
luckily you will fall in a river instead to your death."
One by one they went across. Stry went first then Kismet, Wanderer, Ruby, Snott,
Cleini, King Robert, Knows-a-lot, Danny, Allie with Kiki in her arms, and
finally Diana.
But something happened when Allie was crossing, she fell off into the river, but
lucky for her she fell on the right side so she wasn't taken away in the
current. As she fell, she threw Kiki up and Diana caught her with the help of
some magic.
"Allie come over here," said Stry.
"No, I'm staying here," she replied as she held on for dear life on the bridge.
"Allie please come over here. If you do you don't have to go on the bridge,"
said Wanderer.
"O...okay."
Allie held on the bridge and moved her way across the water. Then she got to the
other side, when Wanderer brought her up. She was shaking from the cold, so
Wanderer held her close to him to warm her up.
Then Diana came across with Kiki.
"Let's rest here for awhile, so Allie can warm up," said Wanderer still holding
Allie.
"We need to make a fire," said Stry.
"She need to get out of those wet clothes before she catch something," said
Ruby, "You guys go up ahead and Diana, Cleini, and I can stay here with Allie."
"Okay."
The guys left, leaving the girls to make Allie warm. First they got the clothes
off her and quickly put a blanket around her to keep her warm. Then Diana build
a fire and hanged Allie's clothes over them.
"Are you okay?" Ruby asked.
"Ye...yes," Allie said still shaking a little.
"Okay. Just stay here until you're warm up."
"Here I got Kiki," said Diana as she gave her to Allie.
"Th...thanks," said Allie.
"You're welcome."
After a half a hour, Allie got warmed up enough to move, so she got her clothes
back on that was completely dried, but she still had the blanket around her to
keep her warm and Diana held Kiki for the rest of their journey in the cave.
They met up with the guys at a mile up high wall which you can see the top of.
"How are we going to get up that?" said Diana.
"It said 'Those of the Forest can climb this wall,' so I'm thinking about using
my ax to make vines to climb up on," said Snott.
"So what are you waiting for?"
"You guys. Vine growth."
He raised the ax over his head and then strike the ground. Vines grew up the
wall to the top. Each took a vine and climbed up. Diana tried the blanket with
Kiki with some roped to keep her from falling then she tried the remained of the
rope around her waist.
Everyone made it up safely. Nothing bad happened this time. They walked for
another mile and a half when they came to the second dead end. This time there
was nothing written on the wall.
"No what?" said Diana, "We came all this way for a dead end."
"I guess we did go the wrong way," said Kismet.
"So do we have to backtrack to the beginning?" asked Danny.
"It seems that way," replied Stry.
"Can we rest? My back paws are killing me," Allie said.
"I agree with her. My feet are killing me too," said Wanderer.
"Okay, we can rest here," replied Kismet.
Everyone sat down and rested before they have to make their way back.
Ruby leaned back on the dead end wall, when she started to feel something on the
other side.
"I can feel her," she said.
"Feel who?" asked Danny.
"I can feel the Fairy Queen behind this wall. This is not a dead end like the
one before this one. I bet all this dirty is covering something."
"Let see," said Allie. She took out the Blowgun of the Winds and blew all the
dirty away. Under the dirty was a something craved in the cave wall.
"Those who are strong may see the other side," Ruby read.
"I guess it's my turn to use my weapon," said Danny.
"You do have the Mace of Strength, so go ahead," Diana replied.
"Earthquake," he said as he hit the ground with his mace causing an earthquake
to spilt open the dead end.
They walked in the beautiful room behind it. The wall were made out of crystal
and flowers grew from the ground. In the middle was a pure gold table with
flowers growing over it. But the Fairy Queen was nowhere in sight.
"She's not here," said Kismet.
"Only the King can see his sleeping Queen," said someone behind them.
Everyone turned around to find a dwarf with a walking stick and a long robe with
a hooded that covered his face. You could only see his beard coming from under
it.
"Only the King can see his sleeping Queen," he repeated.
"It's you," said Kismet.
"Only the King can see his sleeping Queen."
"That why we came here. To find the king."
The dwarf walked to the table and sat on it. Then he started to bang his walking
stick on the ground.
"What does he mean?" said Diana.
"I don't know," Kismet replied.
"His banging is getting annoying," said Allie.
"He got to be banging on that spot for a reason," said Wanderer.
Kismet went to the spot and cut through the flowers that was growing over it.
There he found a hole with 'Only the King can see his sleeping Queen,' written
around it.
"Wanderer place the staff in this hole," Kismet said.
"Okay," Wanderer responded.
He took the Staff of the Kings he was using to walk with and placed it in the
hole. The crystal walls started to change to every pastel color you can imagine.
Then the ground begun to shake and the table open and a bed with the queen rose
up on to it.
The Fairy Queen led there in untouched by time. Her long purple hair with pink
tips covered the bed and her butterfly wings. Her face was pale with a touch of
pink of the cheeks and on the lips. Her gown was of a simple white that fit her
perfect body perfectly. And in her hands she held a beautiful red rose.
"Xacu quoimanib liuuc," said Wanderer as he saw her.
"How do you know that?" said Stry.
"I don't know. I just do."
"But that's what King Daven called the Fairy Queen. Xaxu quoimanib liuuc, my
beautiful queen."
What Wanderer did next surprise everyone. He placed his hand on her face and
then went down and kissed her. The Fairy Queen hand started to moved and then
wrapped her arms around him. Wanderer hood flew off revealing a young man in his
late twenties with short black hair with a crown of Fuxec on top of it. Then his
entire robe fell off and under it he wore the same armor as Stry.
When the kiss stop, the Fairy Queen got up and placed her hand on Wanderer's
face.
"Daven you finally came," she said in a soft sweet voice.
"Nothing could of stop me from coming to you," he replied.
He got up and help the Fairy Queen up out of her bed. Stry kneeled down on one
knee and bowed his head. And soon the other followed.
"My queen, we need your help," said Kismet.
"I know, but I cannot help you," she replied.
"But we went on this quest to wake you up, so you can protect the Fairy Kingdom
and stop King Robert, I mean Katie from taking over."
"I will protect my kingdom, but I can't stop Katie."
"What? Why?" Diana said.
"The reason for this quest wasn't to wake me up, but to train you and gather
loyal friends that would help. Protecting my kingdom I will do, but it's your
destiny to stop Katie, my young son. You must go to the Crystal Temple and stop
Katie. You must hurry."
