Chapter 14
"The Last Weapon"
--------------------------------------------------------------- --------------
"They're here," said Katie as she sat on her stolen throne.
"Who's here?" asked Nala.
"Kismet and his gang. I guess they came for the weapon or to kill Robert."
"Want me to gave them a welcome party?"
"No. I have something else up my sleeve."
(
The group arrived at City of White in the afternoon, so they got a hotel and ate
dinner. Diana and Kismet decided to go on a walk together. Some things have to
be still worked out on their relationship like what kind did they have.
"Let sit down," said Diana as she sat down on a bench.
"Okay," he said as he sat next to her.
"I have something to tell you."
"What?"
"But first I want to ask you something. Do you love me as a friend or as a
lover?"
"I don't know."
"I need to know, Kismet."
"I love both ways."
"But what are you kind of love of you feeling now? The reaction of what I'm
going to tell you depend of what you feel for me. If you love me as a friend,
you will support me as one, but if you love my as your lover, you will care for
me and always love me no matter what stupid thing I done."
"What is the thing?"
"Do you remember how many months since we left City of Cards?"
"Around two, why? Wait can't be, can you?"
"Yes, I'm pregnant with Damon's dampire child."
Kismet hugged her, which caught Diana in surprise.
"I'm truly happy for you," he said.
"Why?" she asked.
"Because you're going to have a beautiful child."
"I love you, Kismet. I truly do."
Diana went to kiss Kismet but someone grabbed her.
"Let me go," she screamed, "Kismet help me."
But Kismet didn't responded. He was frozen in time.
"He can't hear you. No one can. I have stop time," said Katie holding her.
"Who are you?" Diana asked.
"Your worst nightmare."
Diana turned her head and saw Katie's eye color turn to a blood red and the
white surrounding it turned yellow. Diana became frighten.
"Now sleep," Katie said making Diana fell into a deep sleep, "Time awaken."
Kismet looked around and found Diana in the arms of Katie.
"Bye-bye, Kismet. Tell my mom I said hi," she said as she disappeared.
"No!" he yelled as he ran toward where Katie was. He fell down to his knees and
started to cry.
(
"What do you mean someone kidnap Diana?" said Stry.
"One minute I was sitting on a bench with her and the next she was in a deep
sleep in the arms of a woman," Kismet replied.
"What did this woman look like?" said Wanderer.
"She was tall, had fair skin, red hair which a crown was in, and those eyes, I
will always remember those eyes. They were scary, very scary. They were red, but
where the white supposed to be was yellow. She was like a demon. And she knew my
name."
"How?" said Stry.
"I don't know. She told me good-bye, then to tell her mother she said hi."
"No. It's not true. It can't be," said Ruby tearfully.
"Why?"
"The evil had taken my little girl over. She becoming the demon that gives the
power to the dark crystal."
"You mean Katie," said Snott.
"Yes."
"Who's Katie?" asked Allie.
"My daughter."
"You have a daughter," said Danny.
"I did, but now she's being taking over by an evil demon. We must save her from
her fate."
"You can do that when I'm going to the castle to rescue Diana," said Kismet,
"But I must rescue Diana allow."
"Why?" Allie asked.
"It wasn't of my chose but of Diana's. I know it sounds weird, so don't question
it."
"We won't," said Wanderer.
"When are we leaving?" said Snott.
"Tomorrow at midnight."
"How are we going to get in there?" asked Danny.
"Diana will show me."
(
"This is where we spilt up," said Kismet the next night. The group was at a fork
of the hallway, one led to Diana, the other to Katie, "You would go straight on
the hallway on the right until you reach the end. There will be a door in front
and on either side of you. Go to the one to the left. This is the hall of the
Advisor and at the end of it would be Katie's room."
"How do you know all this?" Danny asked.
"Like I said last night, Diana is telling me. Now go before we get caught."
As the rest of the group followed his directions, Kismet ran to find Diana. He
went down the hall towards the left and at the first hallway that crossed him,
he turned right. At the end of this hallway was a door, he went in it and found
himself in the hallway in his dreams. He ran towards the door that entered into
her room. As he opened the door, he found the room was exactly the same as in
his dream. He went into her bed and found Diana asleep.
He crawled next to her and rubbed her face with the back of his hand. Then he
kissed her on her forehead.
"Wake-up my beloved Diana," he said as he whisper in her ear.
She rolled over towards him and opened her eyes.
"Kismet you came to save me," she said as she hugged him.
"Yes, I did. If anything happened to you Diana I won't know what I do. I love
you, Diana. I love you."
"I love you too."
Then she kissed him.
"Let's go. We need to find the others," said Kismet.
"I can't. Katie put this collar on me and leashed me up like her dog. She's the
bitch, so should be leashed up," she replied.
"Go the farthest you can go and hold the chain straight."
Diana went at the end of her bed and held the chain tightly. Kismet took out the
sword of the fairy queen and sliced the chain in half. They ran out of the room
towards where Kismet left the rest of the group.
"Did you think I would let a guest leave before I met them," said Katie as she
walked up to them.
"Where are the others?" Kismet said.
"In the dungeons where you're going to meet them. Guards."
Two guards grabbed them and Katie took the sword of the fairy queen from Kismet.
"This is an excellent piece of work. Don't you agree," she said, "Take him with
the ones we got earlier."
"How about the girl?" said one of the guards.
"She can't go with the normal criminals. She is royalty you know. Take her to
the same cell as King Robert."
"Yes my queen," both of the guards said.
(
"So, you're royalty, huh," said the guard that escorted Diana to her cell, "I
wonder what country."
"The one you live in and the one you fear," Diana replied.
"You're Princess Diana aren't you."
"I could be or I could not."
"It doesn't make any different you know."
"I know."
They walked down a group of cells, the worst in the whole castle, so natural all
that are royalty are sent here. He took her to the very last one and threw her
in.
It was very dark in the cell, and smelly.
"Who's there?" said King Robert.
"Daddy? Is that you?" Diana said.
"Di..Diana. It can't be. You're dead. My mind is messing with me again."
"No it's not. I'm real."
Diana ran towards him and hugged him.
"Daddy, I miss you so much."
Then she started to cry. She hasn't seen him for fifteen years and she loved him
very much.
"I miss you too. You don't know how much I missed you."
Then he started to cry.
"I wish I can see you better. I want to see how you're turned out," he said.
"Light," she said and a light glowed in her hands.
King Robert could see her clearly. He was happy. She turned out beautiful. He
wished they didn't have to meet this way.
Diana too can see her father clearly. She was shocked. His clothes had turned
into rags. His clean shaved in know a matted beard and his hair was long and
tangled.
"We need to get out of here," said Diana.
"There's no way. They guard this cellblock heaviest than the rest. They would
catch us if we try anything," he replied.
"But can they catch what they can't see?"
"What do you mean?"
"I'll tell you later, but now hold my hand."
"Okay."
He grabbed his daughter's hand and wonder what she had up her sleeve.
"Power of the illusionist make us invisible to the eyes all the living," she
said. Then they disappeared and somehow the door opened. They walked past the
many guards that guarded this cellblock. As soon they got out of there, they
became visible.
"Where do you think Katie put my friends?" Diana said.
"I know," said someone behind them.
"I know, we should stood invisible for a few minutes longer."
They turned around and found Knows-a-lot behind them.
"Knows-a-lot, I should it know it was you," said King Robert, "I told you we
will get caught."
"I want to help you," Knows-a-lot said.
"Why? You're Katie's best friend, why betray her?"
"I want to help her. She's not the Katie I knew and loved and it seems that your
daughter and her friends is her only hope."
"Do really know where my friends are?" Diana asked.
"Yes and lucky for you, they're all together. Just follow me."
Knows-a-lot led them through the many underground dungeons that the castle had
and after going into the deepest part of the dungeons, they found them. They
were all in the same cell; the only one in this area and by the cell was a dark,
smelly river. For some reasons there were no guards anyway, the only guards she
saw was the ones protecting the cellblock she was at. Everywhere else there was
none in sight.
"So I guess I'm here to save you guys out of this pickle," she said as she
approached their cell.
"Diana," they all said in surprise.
"Who are with you?" asked Wanderer.
"This is Knows-a-lot and this is my father, King Robert," she said, "But let's
not greet each other now, we still have to figure out to get you out of there
and out of here."
"How did you get out of you cell?" said Danny.
"Invisibility comes in handy you know and also the spell for unlocking door was
helpful too."
"Can you do that spell to get us out?" said Allie.
"Of course," Diana said as she placed her hand on the cell door, "Open."
The door flew opened almost hitting Knows-a-lot.
"Now we still have the problem of getting out of this castle," said Wanderer.
"The river will lead you out to the forest," said Knows-a-lot.
"Thanks," said Diana.
Then Knows-a-lot started to walk off.
"Wait, aren't you coming with us? You said you wanted to help Katie and this is
her mom, she can help."
"I meet you when you get out of the river. I need to get something important
first."
Then he ran off.
"Okay who want to go first?" said Diana, "I know I'm not."
"I'm not going in there. Water and I don't mix well," said Allie.
"I'll go first," Wanderer said as he climbed into the water, "It's not to bad.
Come on."
Stry and Snott followed each helping their loves down. Then Kismet got in so did
King Robert and Danny jumped in.
"Come on Allie. It's your turn," said Diana.
"You're not getting me in there even if you give me all the gold in the world,"
she replied.
"We can do it the easy way or the hard way."
"I pick neither."
"So you picked the hard way."
Diana walked behind Allie and started to push her in, but Allie struck her claws
into Diana's shoulder.
"Shit!" Diana yelled as she used all her power to knocked Allie in.
"That hurt," Diana said as she looked at the scratches down her arms, "Kismet
you got to heal me after we get out of this river."
"Diana it's your turn to get in," Stry said.
"I know," she replied as she walked to the stairway.
Then she ran fast back towards the river and jumped in making a huge splash.
"You're so immature Diana," said Ruby.
"I know," she replied.
"You haven't changed. Still careless and impulsive," King Robert said.
"What! She was always like this. Oh my god, she will never change," Ruby
replied.
Then a strong current came pushes them down the river. The river twists and
turns and had steep drops. They finally got to the where the current weakened in
the middle of the forest. Allie was the first to get out.
"There's a reason cats hate water and now I found other," she said as she lay on
the grass.
Then Diana fell next to her. After a couple of seconds all of them was on the
riverbed sitting trying to catch their breath.
"That was fun," said Danny.
"It sure was. Hey, Kismet can you come here?" said Diana as she sat up.
"What Diana?" he replied.
"Can you heal my arms? For some strange reason they're all scratched up."
"Sure."
He reached for his magic dusts, but found them missing.
"Wait. I can't. Katie took my magic dust when she locked me up," he said.
"Then Cleini, can you heal my arms?" Diana asked.
"I'll be glad too," Cleini replied.
She placed her hands on both arms and closed her eyes. In a few seconds Diana's
arms were completely healed.
"Thanks," Diana said.
"You're welcome," Cleini replied.
"Are you all right Diana?" asked Kismet.
"Better than ever. Why?" Diana replied.
"You know."
"Oh! Don't sweat. If you worry about anyone, worry about Ruby. She's farther
along."
"What do you mean she's farther along?" said King Robert.
"Yeah, what do you mean by that?" asked Stry.
"Ruby's three months pregnant," Diana responded.
"Her child is half vampire, half elf, so it's immortal. But I want to know what
you mean by farther along? Wait don't tell me, you're pregnant aren't you?"
"Pregnant! How can she be pregnant?" said King Robert.
"It's a long story dad. I'll tell you later," she said.
(
It was at night when Knows-a-lot arrived. He was driving a wagon with one black
horse.
"It's about time," said Diana.
"It took me awhile to get this," Knows-a-lot said as he uncovered their weapons
in the back of the wagon.
"The sword of the fairy queen," said Kismet as he picked it up. By this time he
was already changed back to his old self.
Everyone got his or her weapons. Knows-a-lot got of the wagon holding some wrap
in a blanket in his arms.
"I also have something else," he said as he revealed Kiki.
"Kiki," Allie said as she ran to get her, "Is she all right?"
"I don't know. Katie was doing some experiments on her because she's a shape-
swifter."
Allie took Kiki into her arms, "I'm so sorry, Kiki. I make sure nothing happen
to you every again."
"Why are you helping us?" asked Kismet.
"Because I'm afraid of what Katie is becoming. I want her back to her old self,"
Knows-a-lot replied. Then he started to cry, "And I want to go back being six
again."
"I never seen a grown man cry before," said Allie.
"He's not a grown man. He's just a six year old boy," said King Robert.
"This is your jester," said Snott.
"Yes so that's why we must help him."
"I will help him," said Diana.
"I will too," said Snott.
"Me too," said Cleini.
"Me too," said Ruby.
"Me three," said Danny.
"I will also," said Wanderer.
"And so will I," said Stry.
"How about it, Kismet?" asked Diana.
"I'm in," Kismet responded.
"We'd agree to help Knows-a-lot. So off to find King Daven, we have all the
weapons."
"We do, don't we," said Ruby.
"But who will hold the Staff of the Kings?" said Wanderer.
"You," said Diana as she got the staff out of the back of the wagon and handed
it to him, "You been on this quest from the beginning and you've could of left
long ago, but you didn't. So you will hold the heirloom of my family, the Staff
of the Kings."
"It would be my honor."
"What do we have to do now?" said Danny.
"I don't know," said Kismet.
"We must go to the Fairy Queen's eternal resting chambers," said Ruby.
"How do you know?" said Stry.
"I just do."
