CHAPTER 4 ----- Shika And Kari

Dick hugged Shika, trying to make her stop crying.

"What's wrong, what's wrong?" Dick said over and over.

"I don't wanna talk about it!" Shika cried.

"It's okay. You can tell me all about it, honey."

"My boyfriend dumped me!" she screamed as she collapsed in Dick's psychiatrist chair/couch and began her story...

"Well, I'm the most popular girl in school, right? RIGHT?!"

"Right, honey" Dick said

"Okay. So, anyway, My boyfriend was Jimmy Daniel, and he was the most popular boy in school. So, like, every time I wanted to go out on a date with him, he would always be busy with football practice, even at 10:00pm. So I, like, thought thought that there was, like, something wrong with him so I went to his house to see if everything's all right. When I got there he and his friend were having a PARTY without me, and he says that he doesn't want to date me anymore, and that I disgust him!" Shika said sobbing.

"Oh, honey, you're too good for him" Dick said.

"Oh, you just don't get it, my reputation of being popular is, like, over!" Shika screamed and ran up to her room.

When Shika burst into her room, she tripped over Kari, who was on the floor, playing with dolls. Kari started crying and then Shika started crying. When eight year old Kari got over it and her seventeen year old sister still wasn't over it, she became concerned.

"Shika, why are you still crying? It's okay. I can get a new dollie." She said, looking at her broken doll.

"No, that's not it. Everybody hates me! You wouldn't understand, so just leave me alone!" Shika layed on her bed and covered her head with some pillows.

Kari sighed and went downstairs, just in time to see Jane come home.

"Hi, mommy!" Kari said, hugging and kissing Jane.

"Hi, sweety. How was your day?"

"Okay. James Jhonston pulled my hair again today" Kari said.

"Hmm. I'm gonna have to call Mrs. Jhonston about that." Jane said.

"No, mommy. It's okay. Oh, ya. Shika broke my dolly, but it doesn't matter. I thinks he learned her lesson." Kari explained.

"What do you mean?" asked Jane

"She won't stop crying" said Kari.

Just then Dick walked in. Jane asked him about Shika, and he told her that her boyfriend dumped her, but no one really cared.

"Hi Kari" Dick said.

"Hi, Daddy. I drew you a picture in school today. And I made mommy a pasta necklace."

"Thank you sweety" Jane and Dick said.

"Well, I have to draw a dinosaur for school tomorrow" Kari said, as she left the room
