Link slashed at his at his opponent, trying to break through his guard, then stabbed at him. His opponent moved slightly to the right, using his shield to catch links sword and pull it out of his hand, sending it flying behind him. His opponent then thrust forward in a move that would finish the fight with him as the victor. Before his strike could make contact though, Link back flipped out of the way, pulling out his shield. He then charged forward with his shield in front of him as though he intended to ram his opponent. The other man saw this and took a step back, bracing himself for the impact. However, right before he hit his opponent, Link moved to the side and rolled behind him, grabbing his sword, then turning quickly around and facing the other man once again. The man smiled at link and then charged forward. Using his shield to catch Links and using his leg to hook around the younger mans leg, he sent Link sprawling to the ground, causing him to loose his grip on his sword once again. The man's sword snaked forward and stopped with the tip resting lightly against Links throat. Link sighed, "Alright, alright. I yield." Then he smiled up at his opponent who smiled back at him. "You did very well today, Link, I'm impressed. All that training really is paying off." His opponent reached his hand down and heaved Link to his feat. "Well, I have a pretty good teacher." "Flattery will get you nowhere, no matter how true it may be." He smiled even more, "And it most certainly is true in this case. I am a most excellent teacher, if I do say so myself." "And so modest too!" Link grinned up at his swordsmanship teacher, who stood a good head taller than him, even though they were so close in age. He had been training with for a few years now, and had known him for a while before that. After he had brought the three gems to the temple of time and had pulled the master sword from the stone, Impa had appeared and informed him of a decision that the king had made. Link was to come and live at the castle so that he could train and would therefore be better prepared to face Ganondorf when the time came. Link was more than happy to oblige. While he did miss his friends from the forest, he had found many new friends in the castle. Link knew that the whole reason he was here was to train to fight for the future of the realm and he never forgot that, but he didn't let that thought keep him from enjoying his life right now. His teacher snapped him out of his reminiscing by clapping him on his shoulder. "Just being honest. Anyway, lets call it a day, shall we? I have some work to take care of and you've been training nonstop all morning." "Sounds good to me. See you later!" Link shouted over his shoulder as he ran off towards another of the castles many gardens.

Sheik sat with his legs pike style out in front of him, his back leaning against the large tree behind him, strumming a song on his lap harp. "Inventing songs for your sweethearts? You poor lovesick fool." Sheik stopped his playing and looked up to see his best friend standing next to him, grinning mischievously. "I wouldn't waste my time." "Oh, I see." Link turned around and threw himself on the ground. He landed lying on his back with his head resting on Sheik's outstretched legs. "Whew! What a workout! I'm really hot now!" "Yes, I can tell, you reek and you are sweating all over my pants." "Anyway, don't let me stop you from practicing your serenades." Link continued as though he had not heard the last remark. Sheik smiled, "Of course not." Link closed his eyes and Sheik picked his harp back up, continuing the song from where he had left off. A small breeze blew by, carrying the fresh smell of summer and ruffling Links hair. He sighed contentedly. Sheik smiled again as he watched his friend fall asleep. *Goddesses. He really is beautiful* He reached the end of the song and set the small harp on the ground, reaching out to brush some stray hairs out off Links face. *Heh, he really is tired. Usually we go swimming after he finishes with his lessons. I wouldn't mind going for a swim right now. It really is hot out here. Not to mention there's nothing sexier than a shirtless Link. * Sheik chuckled softly. His fingers traced along Links bottom lip. As he watched his friend sleep, his smile faded. * I wonder if ill ever be able to tell him. I want him so badly. I love him so much.* He sighed and picked up the harp again. * But I don't know how he feels about me. Let alone whether or not if he likes guys. I love him, but I don't want to risk losing his friendship. I couldn't bear being without him.* he closed his eyes and began plucking another song.

"Hello Lazybones! How long have you two been here? I thought that we were going swimming later." Princess Zelda asked as she walking over two the two boys under the tree. Sheik looked up, "don't blame me. Link is the one who fell asleep." Zelda sighed impatiently and shifted her weight to one leg. Another breeze came by, carrying a bit of fuzz on it. She idly watched it float by. "Well' wake him up then. I've been sitting down all day and I need to loosen up my stiff muscles. I'm sure the same thing goes for Link." "Mmhmm." Sheik pulled more stray hairs away from Links face, watching his delicate features. *Hmmm, so he does like Link that way. And I'm sensing his emotions without even trying. It seems like his intentions are pure.* Zelda put her hand over her mouth to keep from giggling, "Or at least, that he really loves Link. I'm glad. They will be very good together.* "You can moon and fantasize over your future lover later, Sheik. I want to go swimming now. Come on, don't dawdle." Zelda started off towards the lake, leaving a very surprised Sheik in her wake.
