Chp. 1

 

 

“RIKU?!” He yelled in the night. He circled the area slowly looking around the platform. `Why did you leave me riku? I had just found you!' he thought sinking to the ground.

“If you keep yelling like that no one will ever get any sleep.” Leon said leaning against a wall. He sniffled and turned away from the tall man.

“I don't care, just leave me alone.” He whispered curling into himself. Leon walked to him and wrapped his arms around him.

“You wanna talk about it, kid?” Leon said. He shook his head and jerked out of Leon's embrace. He stood up and stared at the spot where Riku had appeared.

“You don't understand. He was my world…just leave me alone. I'll be your keyblade master and fix whatever you need but you'll never understand my pain!” He yelled before running off to another part of the 3rd district.

“SORA! WAIT!” Leon yelled after him. He shook his head and kept running, tears coursing down his face. He reached an alley and summoned the keyblade.

“Why did this have to happen to me…i've lost him...before he was even mine to lose.” He whispered brokenly staring at the blade as it started to rain. He lifted his face to the sky, letting the rain wash away the tears on his face. “I guess I should go back to the hotel before they send a search for me.” He mumbled standing up and walking towards the 2nd district. As he was walking he didn't notice the heartless until after they started attacking. He defended himself and destroyed the heartless until one came up behind him and knocked him out. `Please make it stop.' He thought as he hit the ground and his blade disappeared.

“I think he's waking up!” Yuffie's voice yelled happily. “Sora, are you ok?” She asked inquisitively leaning towards him. He opened his eyes and moaned when he noticed where he was.

“You should have left me!” He moaned turning towards the wall.

“Hey Yuffie, why don't you see if Donald and goofy are still around?” Leon said as Yuffie skipped out of the room. “Staying out in the rain, running into an ambush of shadows, oh and my favorite being knocked out and left to die…Sora you can't run around alone. I know that whatever happened is eating at you, if you just trust someone and talk about it you'll feel better.” Leon said kneeling in front of the bed. He shook his head and put the pillow up to his face. Leon sighed.

“I didn't tell him…I never had the chance to grab his hand. He was taken from me. Now he is gone…they are both gone. But he's gone….” He whispered brokenly. Leon took hold of his chin and made him look at Leon's face.

“Who's gone?” Leon asked.

“Riku…oh riku.” He sobbed uncontrollably launching himself into Leon's arms and crying. Leon looked at the broken teen and sighed.

“It's ok, Sora. We'll find him, no worries.” Leon whispered into the sobbing teen's hair.

He clutched his chest in pain. “What's wrong…SORA!” He yelled running to his looking glass. He stared into it and caught the last part of the conversation.

“I didn't tell him…I never had the chance to grab his hand. He was taken from me. Now he is gone…they are both gone. But he's gone…” Sora whispered brokenly. Another man took hold of Sora's chin and made Sora look at the man's face.

“Who's gone?” The man asked.

“Riku…oh riku.” He sobbed uncontrollably launching himself into the man's arms and crying. The man looked at Sora and sighed.

“It's ok, Sora. We'll find him, no worries.” The man whispered into Sora's hair.

He stared into the glass awed. “Sora…” He whispered. He frowned and left the room.
