Malon…Malon…wake up, dear. It's me, Dr. Knil…

By now, Malon found herself used to hearing people calling her name and sounding slightly muffled to her until she completely came to her senses. She saw Dr. Knil standing above her with his untidy golden blonde hair and snow-white lab coat. His icy blue eyes stared directly into hers. His hand was placed lightly on her head, which was covered in bandages. The first thing she said was “Where's Epona?!”

“Your horse? She's tied up outside, but I don't think you'll be doing any riding for a while.” Dr. Knil replied. “I'm surprised that's the first thing you asked. In fact, I'm especially surprised at how you remembered her. Typically, people with concussions forget many things.”

“Okay, you know what, you phony? I don't have a damn concussion! If I did have one, then I wouldn't even know where the hell I was, or anything else! But I know my name is Malon, I fell off Epona and got knocked out, I'm in the head injury section of the hospital, and you're a fricking moronic crack-head!” Malon took a breath.

“I think you do have a concussion, dear. Maybe not a major one, but it'd be best if you stayed here for a few days…”

“FOR A CONCUSSION? A MISDIAGNOSED ONE?! NO FUCKING WAY!” Malon began to get up from the bed she was laying on, but she found that she was restrained to the bed with leather straps. “What is this?!”

“Sorry, but you cannot leave until you are well again. I knew those straps would be useful. Most concussion patients don't need them, but seeing as how you consistently make escape attempts because of your…mental being, I thought this would be best.”

Malon realized this was getting her nowhere. Instead, she had another idea. The major head injury section of the hospital was near the closest exit, according to an emergency exit flier on the wall across from her. If she tricked Dr. Knil into taking her there, she might find a way to escape. So she feigned pain as her first step to freedom. “Ow…”

“What's wrong, dear?”

“My head. Owwww! Where am I? Who am I? Who are you? Do I have a horsy?”

“It's worse than I thought!” Dr. Knil exclaimed. “This calls for more drastic measures!”

“I guess I'll have to be taken to the major head injury section. I mean…what's a major head injury section? Am I going there…whatever it is?”

“No, no! A case this severe must be tended to with even more care!”

Malon paused, mentally slapping herself for possibly having to go through even more trouble than if she just would've waited it out a few days for her to leave.

“Doctor Adlez! Nurse Urooban! Nurse Airas! Bring in the head injury potion and have her taken to the emergency room!”

Immediately, a doctor and two nurses, all female, rushed in. One of them was holding a small glass bottle filled with cloudy white liquid.

“Doctor Adlez, please give Miss Malon the potion.” Dr. Knil commanded.

“But sir, are you sure? This potion is awfully powerful. We don't use it often…”

“Do it! Hurry!”

“Alright…” Dr. Adlez, a tall thin woman with long hair the same color as Dr. Knil's, gently uncorked the tiny fragile bottle. Her blue eyes gazed at the horrified Malon. “I didn't realize it was this severe.”

“Nurse Urooban and Nurse Airas, you two are responsible for making sure this woman gets to the emergency room! Doctor Adlez, after she takes the potion and gets sent to the emergency room, I want to discuss the details with you!” Dr. Knil walked out of the room and entered a door that said “Doctor's Lounge.”

“You heard the man.” Dr. Adlez said. “You have to take this.”

“He's a horrible doctor! He doesn't even know how to diagnose a patient properly!” Malon snapped.

“Please, just take it.” She begged. “He's very experienced in the medical field. He's been doing this for many years. Please, trust him.” She placed her hand on Malon's head. “Very warm. She must have a fever as well,” she said to the nurses.

“I DON'T HAVE A CONCUSSION, I DON'T HAVE A FEVER AND I'M NOT MENTALLY ILL! LET ME GO! LET ME GO!”

“Please, give it to her already! She's giving me a headache!” Nurse Urooban growled. She was a Gerudo, which was unusual. There weren't many Gerudo nurses or doctors.

“You two are making things worse!” a meek girl that couldn't have been older than about eighteen piped up. “Hello, I'm Nurse Airas.” A small nurse with green hair and blue eyes bowed.

“How the hell did your hair turn green?!” Malon asked.

“I like to dye it. But don't tell anyone.” She giggled.

Nurse Urooban whispered something to Doctor Adlez when Malon was occupied talking to Nurse Airas.

“Look, the stubborn bitch is talking to Nurse Airas. While she's distracted, we can insert the potion into a needle and inject it into her!” Nurse Urooban plotted quietly.

“Good idea.” Doctor Adlez replied. She grabbed a needle off a nearby rack and placed the potion inside it. “Now get into the conversation, and I'll sneak up on her.”

Dr. Adlez agreed and joined in the conversation. “So, what are you two talking about?”

“Stuff,” Nurse Airas chirped happily.

Nurse Urooban went to Malon's left side while she was occupied looking to her right at the other nurse and doctor. She poured alcohol onto a cotton ball and Malon looked to her left upon noticing a person slinking next to her with extreme stealth.

“What the fuck do you think you're doing?!”

“This!” Nurse Urooban inserted the needle into Malon's arm, causing her to yelp in pain.

“You sneaky assholes tricked me!”

“I had no part in this! I swear!” Nurse Airas said.

Well…you…” Malon struggled to say. She fought harder to keep her eyes open, but she knew it was a battle that couldn't be won. She instantly passed out.

“Finally! Some peace and quiet!” Nurse Urooban removed the straps from Malon and had the other nurse help her onto the stretcher so she could be transported to the room she was planned to be taken to.

Dr. Adlez trotted into the doctor's lounge Dr. Knil was currently in and shut the door behind her quickly.

Just a few hours later, Malon awoke in a small padded room with a single barred window on the only door. “Goddess damn it, how many times have I passed out this week? And…why can't I move my fucking arms?!”

“Hello, Malon.” Dr. Knil's obnoxious voice blared. “How are you?”

“Well, other than the jacket you strapped around me so I can't move, this potion that knocked me out which makes me feel like shit and the fact that I've never been more miserable in my entire life, I'd say I'm just dandy.”
