Chapter 3: Gohan's and Trunks's First Day

Gohan woke up at the crack of dawn to get dressed. He put on his dark blue gi with a red sash around his waist. He went super speed inside the small kitchen of the home. The smell of delicious food filled the air and reached his nose. He took in a deep breath to have the aroma of home cooking in his nostrils. Chi-chi put down the breakfast on the table and the boys dug in, not leaving a crumb as usual.

"Mom, that was good!!" cheered the three males. Chi-chi smiled as she picked up the dishes and placed them into the hot water. Her son stood up and was about to walk out the door, when she stopped him.

"Gohan!!" she yelled. The demi-saiyan boy stopped in his tracks near the door.

"Yes, mother!!" he replied

"Aren't you going to say goodbye first before you head off to that military school today," she smiled.

Gohan walked towards his mother and gave her a hug. She reached up and kissed her son on the cheek. She put a hand to her son's face as she said this.....

"My son, you make me proud"

Goku got up from the table and walked over to his family members. He smiled his trademark goofy smile as he put his thumbs up. Gohan let go of his embrace.

"Now Gohan, make sure you kill a few witches why you are out," he grinned. Chi-chi was about to admonish Goku when Gohan corrected him.

"Dad they are called Sorceresses, and not all of them are evil witches" Gohan nervously said back to his dad. Goku just stepped towards his son and reached his hand out for a handshake. His son accepted the handshake and he was about to walk out when.

"Gohan aren't you going to say bye to me your little brother."

Just then Goten was picked up by his smaller brother.

"Hey Gohan, guess what you and Mirai won't be alone in your SeeD journey," chirped his mother. She smiled at her son as she gave this news to him.

"Goten is going with you to be a junior classmen."

Gohan went pale as his mother delivered the news. He put down his chibi brother and he fainted, imagining the horror he and Chibi Trunks were going to cause. Where there was Goten, Chibi wouldn't be far behind.

Mirai Trunks just ate breakfast from the family cook along with his father and mother. Bulma didn't eat much as she was in a hurry and wanted to get to her business early. The little table in the kitchen was round and a tan color and had a nice white checkerboard pattern. The kitchen was one of many and there were nicer dining rooms in the complex, but the place they sat at made them close to each other, at least physically.

"Hey Mirai, I know me in the future meant very much to you, but I hope I can be as good of a mother as her," she said to her son's future self. The older lavender haired man was shocked for his mother to say such a thing and stopped eating for a bit. He was almost an adult and didn't want to pressure his mother of the past anymore than she already was.

"Mom, don't worry about it okay," he smiled at her. Bulma just looked at her son for a few minutes. She knew in her heart that he was a good boy and on the verge of making a fine man. Mirai just went back to gorging along with his father and past self slash "little brother."

After breakfast, Mirai and Chibi excused themselves from the table. The two Trunkses walked away from the table when Bulma put her hands on her hips and tapped her foot.

"Aren't you two going to say goodbye to your dear mother!!!!" she shouted. Mirai walked up to the mother and hugged her. Chibi just walked up to her and she bent down to hug him.

"Mom, will you tell my "brother", the good news," Chibi smirked as she let go of her embrace. Bulma composed herself as she looked at her two sons.

"Mirai Trunks, your Chibi self is going with you to SeeD," stated Bulma calmly.

Mirai paled, and thoughts of Chibi Trunks and Goten together come to mind. C.Trunks, while a troublemaker, is even more dangerous when Goten was around. The thoughts of the twosome of terror wrecking the school went through his mind.

"What's the matter Trunks?" questioned Bulma.

"Nothing, nothing...heh,heh," Mirai nervously laughed. Chibi looked at his future self and smirked at him. Vegeta told the younger Trunks to come over where he sat.

"Now make sure that you make the first brat of Kakarot's life a living hell," he whispered into his son's ear as he slipped him 40 zenni in the pocket of his blue gi. Chibi took the money and walked back to his spot.

The two boys then waved goodbye to there parents and rushed out of the door to meet the two Sons.

"Woman, your sentimentality is going to turn our boys into whiny pussies," Vegeta sneered.

"Vegeta!!! You insensitive asshole!!!," yelled Bulma as she reached back to slap him. The Saiyan Prince, however, caught her hand and kissed her on the lips.

"You're much better looking when you are angry," he smirked at his mate.

"Vegeta, down boy, you will have to wait until tonight," she smiled as she confidently walked to her lab.

He grinned at his mate. He liked her when she was feisty.

The two sons of Goku flew in the sky, and looked for the SeeD school. Gohan looked around and felt two familiar ki's speeding towards them.

"Trunks!!!" yelled Goten out in the direction they were headed. The two Trunkses heard his voice and flew toward the two of them.

"Hey Goten, gotta go with the big brother I see," Chibi said. Goten nodded and he and Trunks floated off to discuss there "strategy" for Mirai and Gohan. The older Son male however yelled out toward them.

"You two plotting anything?" Gohan questioned the two little ones.

Goten and Trunks had there arms behind there backs and little angel halo's on there heads. Mirai just huffed and the four of them went into SeeD.

Rinoa was walking around, moping, and still feeling the effects of her loss of Squall. The whole event replayed in her mind over and over as she tried to train how to use her ki, but her thoughts on what Cell did made her more out of control. After throwing a few blasts, she fell onto the marble floor and sobbed. In her mind, she questioned why it happened, not looking at any of the equisite paintings inside the room.

Edea walked into the room and watched her pupil in her emotional distress. She walked over to the young Sorceress and patted her on the shoulder. The Elder Sorceress had the look of a mother caring for her own as she comforted her and knelt down to eye level with her.

"Rinoa, you have to be strong, I know it's hard the fact that you lost your knight," Edea urged.

"I know, Edea, but I still miss him," she cried. Rinoa put her head onto her mentor's shoulder. The older woman put her hands around her and held the youth's head as she cried.

The two women looked at each other, and Edea had a smile on her face. She put her hands on Rinoa's shoulders and patted them. Edea knew Rinoa could get through this, but it would take time. She smiled at her older woman but noticed a spot on her all black dress where she cried.

"Don't worry about the dress, hon," Edea reassured her, "I can always get new dresses." Rinoa laughed a little at the comment.

"See, you aren't dead because of this, I know you will get through this tough time," Edea stated. Both women walked out of the room and into the lobby of the garden.

Gohan and his other three fellow fighters landed at the Balamb Garden front gate. He opened the gate and found a big beautiful school. Students walking in and out of the entrance as the four demi-saiyans walked out. The school had an arch pattern over it's buildings, and an ornate golden ring with lights on top of the school. The students were wearing there SeeD and blue, short sleeved SeeD cadet uniforms respectively.

The warriors walked to the entrance when the older gentleman that said Squall's uliogy walked out of the entrance and met them at the spacious picnic area.

"Hello, you four, you must be the four new recruits General Caraway told me so much about," said the older man.

"Yes, I'm Son Gohan," introduced the young man.

"Mirai Trunks Briefs"

"Trunks Briefs"

"Son Goten"

"And to you four, I'm Headmaster Cid," he introduced himself as he shook hands with the four fighters. Cid, along with the others, walked into the school as he lectured about SeeD and there mission.

"SeeD is a place to learn the principal of para-magic, the principle of using basic magic and combining it with your ki," he lectured as they walked around the round lobby looking around. Cid looked over to the other end and saw Edea and Rinoa walking around. Cid walked around, leaving the four demi-saiyans in the middle of the rotunda to wait.

"So what do you think so far, Goten?" asked Gohan as they waited.

"It's so big, how am I going to find the classes," whined the little brother.

"Goten, don't whine, it's embarassing," growled Chibi Trunks. Goten stopped and smiled. The other three just held there heads and shook them.

They stood there for a few more minutes, stepping around and kicking. Goten looked over and saw Cid returning back with Edea and Gohan's childhood friend, Rinoa.

Gohan looked around and saw her friend with a sad look on her face. Rinoa looked up and she saw the man in her dream and gasped. The two childhood friends looked at each other, each trying to figure out if the other was the person in there premonitions. Gohan and Rinoa stood there in silence, trying to figure out what to say to each other as the older married couple, and the three demi-saiyans were patiently waiting.

The young sorceress walked up to Gohan with a smile on her face, as in her mind she confirmed that it was her childhood friend. He was the one she played with many times before the Cell Games came. She gently wrapped her arms around Gohan, welcoming him back into her life.

"Gohan, you came back, just like you said you would, thank you, my friend," she stated as she went back to embracing him. The black haired demi saiyan wrapped his arms around his friend and returned the hug. Afterwards both people looked at each other. Black eyes, the color of coal met dark brown eyes, full of sadness of her loss and her happiness that her friend came back.

"I-I'm glad to see you again, Rinoa. Why so sad, though?" he asked her right in front of the group of five.

"I'll talk to you later about that, right now I'm just glad to talk to you again," she replied, causing Gohan to blush. The two looked at each other until Mirai had to clear his throat.

"Ahem!! So when will you two lovebirds gonna let go so that we could see the rest of this place," he interrupted. Gohan and Rinoa stood back and blushed as they let go.

"Selphie will show you four around," he said as a bubbly girl in yellow overall shorts ran up to the group. Her hair was like they wore in the sixties and light brown in color. She giggled when she saw Gohan and Rinoa next to each other.

"You two were so cute when you were hugging," she grinned widely as she looked at them. This caused them to turn redder with embarassment, if that was possible. She looked over and saw the long lavender haired male with the big sword strapped to his back.

'My, my he's a cutie,' she thought of the lavender haired man as she gazed upon him.

'Hmm, I wonder why she's looking at me like that,' he pondered as he looked at her.

Selphie looked at the demi-saiyans and saw the two little boys. She walked up to them and lowered herself to eye level with the two young demi-saiyans.

"So who are you two little cuties?" she asked while pinching the little Goku's cheeks.

"I'm Goten, pleased to meet you," he politely introduced himself. Selphie then looked at the other little one, who had his arms crossed and a scowl that his father would be proud of.

"I'm Trunks Vegeta Briefs and you are so preppy," Chibi Trunks scoffed. Selphie just shrugged her shoulders and walked over to Mirai Trunks.

"And I'm Mirai Trunks Briefs, the more polite of the two sons of Bulma," he said.with emphasis on polite. Chibi just stuck his tongue out at his future self. Then Selphie walked to Gohan and gave him a smile.

"I take it this is the Gohan you told me about isn't it Rinoa," Selphie chirped at the demi-saiyan young man. Gohan nodded and she went behind her friend.

"Hey nice one, Rinoa, he's really cute," Selphie whispered in her ear. Rinoa blushed even redder if ever possible.

"Now Selphie, won't you show our new students around?" asked Edea. Selphie smiled and with her right hand ushered the four demi-saiyans out of the lobby and to the left of the entranceway.

"Rinoa, that's the happiest I've seen you in a while," commented Edea.

"Edea.....what did you mean by that," she replied with a hint of anger.

Edea just looked at her with a smile and walked off, leaving a dumbfounded Rinoa with Cid.

'It's as plain as the nose on your face my Protege, you really like him. He may be the key to helping you out of your depression,' Edea thought as she walked away.

Selphie went around showing them the various corridors as they walked around the circular path around the elevator. She has shown them the infirmary on the extreme left, the quad just next to it, the dormitory, which was a straight 180 degrees from the way they enter the rotunda, the room just to the right was the parking lot, the room next to that was the training center, where Goten and Trunks were not allowed because of the 'junior classmen' rule, the room that is just to the right of the entrance is the library.

"And that concludes the tour, the classrooms are on the second floor guys, have fun," smiled Selphie. Mirai Trunks watched Selphie and really started to look at her. He studied her retreating figure and in his mind thought she was beautiful.

"So, Mirai, think Chibi and Goten are going to stay away from the training center," spoke Gohan in a rhetorical question. Mirai just looked at him funny as to say 'no they will be there to cause trouble'.

The demi-saiyans walked to the elevator and were about to press the button when they were stopped. They heard the voice of another female SeeD walking toward them.

"So you guys are the new recruits?" the blonde with the glasses questioned. All four nodded at the woman.

"I am Instructor Quistis Trepe, and I will teach you magic and GF Junction, the only class you two older guys need since well, the Cell games were known only to us," she whispered.

Then a rude man shouted toward them. He stepped up like he was the baddest man on the planet, and well he is considered one of the toughest instructors in SeeD.

"Hello Instructor Aki," she greeted to the muscular black man.

"Hello Instructor Trepe, are these two boys more of your "pet" projects, " the male instructor sneered at the lady. Gohan and Trunks stood there and stopped her from slapping Instructor Aki.

"As well as I thought, the only boy in your class that excelled in combat was Squall and look where he is now," he spoke with venom in his voice. Quistis was angry at the man. She took her glasses off and stepped up to him.

"Damn you!!, that was over the line you stupid jackass!!," she screamed in his face. Edea walked into the room and watched the display unfold.

"Instructor Aki, that will be enough," the Elder Sorceress sternly spoke in earnest, "and Instructor Trepe, the death of Squall has affected all of us, but you must learn to control yourself." The female teacher politely excused herself and went up to the elevator.

"The reason why Cadet Son and Cadet Mirai Briefs only need the magic and the GF classes is because there training there fathers gave them was more than any SeeD could ever endure," commented Edea. Instructor Aki looked at Edea, his anger seething through for he felt that Mirai Trunks and Gohan were getting special treatment.

"Okay, Headmistress, but I doubt that Cell Games crap that SeeD supposedly has so I want to put these boys in the special challlenge, to test there combat skill," Aki demanded to her. Edea looked at the instructor, inside she was confident that the instructor would eat crow when he saw the two boys in action.

Gohan and Trunks peered a hole through the instructor as they said these words...

"I accept, your challenge," answered Gohan.

"I also accept," replied Mirai Trunks with a smirk that his father would have loved to see.

Aki looked at the two boys. His confidence that he could break them, at least that's what his mind thinks, was thought to be well placed.

"Alright meet me outside the front gate at 6:00pm," ordered Aki before he walked out. He snidely added "I'll have Dr. Kadowaki reserve you two in the infirmary."

Edea looked at the four beings in front of the elevator.

'These four are the most powerful fighters that have ever went into a SeeD academy. Instructor Aki will be shocked at the two oldest ones to say the least', she thought as she watched them get into the elevator.
