Chapter 4

New friends, Mysterious Friends

"What are you talking about?" asked Wakka.

"And who are you?" asked Lulu defensively.

"What I mean is that one day, when the time is right, you'll know their true identity," said the green-haired woman.

Six other girls accompanied her. They stood behind their green-haired friend. Then, a girl who had black hair and eyes to match stepped up beside her.

"Who are you?" Lulu asked again.

"My name is Setsuna Meioh," replied the green-haired woman.

"Uni Shields," said the girl next to Setsuna.

"I'm Serena Tsukino."

"Amy Anderson."

"Raye Hino."

"Lita Kino."

"Mina Aino."

"I'm Yuna," she introduced, "That's Lulu, Rikku, Kimahri, and Wakka. So, where do you all come from?"

"Anybody got food?" Mina said, changing the subject.

"Yeah!" Serena agreed and at the exact time, her stomach growled, "I'm starving! I need food!"

"That's all you ever think about, Serena!" yelled Raye.

"But I'm hungry! Can't you just hear my stomach! It needs food!" whined Serena.

Before Raye could say another word, Lita cut in, "Well, I'm kinda hungry too, Raye. Maybe we should rest to get something to eat. We've had a long journey."

"Where'd you come from?" Yuna tried again.

"Do you know where we could get something to eat?" Setsuna asked, avoiding the question.

"Well, we have good friends and they could probably feed us for free or something," said Wakka.

"Cool!" shrieked Serena.

"Stop shrieking! You are going to make me deaf!" Lulu cried, covering her ears.

"Ow! Man that girls got some lungs!" said Rikku.

:"Does she ever!" agreed Lita.

"Can we stop talking about the my screaming and get some grub?" asked Serena, sighing loudly.

"Sure thing. Rikku, do you think Cid has enough food for all of us back in the ship?" Yuna asked Rikku.

"Sure! And if we run out for some reason, we'll just by more!" answered Rikku.

"Well, then, let us go back to the ship," said Lulu.

"How come? Can't we stay on land?" asked Serena.

"She's afraid of heights," Raye whispered to Lulu.

"Oh," said Lulu and she turned to Serena, "Sorry, but we stay on the ship just in case fiends appear and people need our help. As you see, we have a job. We can't ignore it."

"I understand. Ugh! I guess I'll have to live with it. Oh well," she sighed, "When we get up there, can you guys please feed me? I'm starving!"

"Serena!" scowled Raye.

Yuna giggled, "Come on. The ships this way. We could use some more people on the ship anyways. It's so boring!"

"Hey!" protested Rikku.

"I'm sorry, but it is," Yuna said sheepishly.

"I know. I was just kidding," Rikku grinned, "The people on board are so boring did you know? The only exciting thing is when a fiend appears!"

"You people are weird," said Lulu, as she rolled her eyes.

"Whatever. Come on," Yuna motioned everyone back to the ship.

"Hey! Who's that on my ship!?" roared Cid.

"Relax Uncle Cid. These are our new friends Serena, Mina, Lita, Raye, Lita, Uni, and Setsuna," introduced Yuna.

"The questioned is, what are they doing here!" bellowed Cid.

"Pops, they just need a place to stay. Besides," said Rikku, "we've got enough room on the ship. And we've got enough food. It's not like their going to starve us or anything."

"Well, actually. Serena might," Raye spoke up.

"And which one are you?" asked Cid.

"For your information. I'm Raye!" she said in the most disrespectful way.

"Hey…I like you. I like your guts!" complimented Cid.

"Why thanks!" said Raye beaming.

"Can we eat now!?" whined Serena.

"Fine, fine. Go eat your little chubby stomach out," and Cid shoved them out of the bridge.

"Hey! What'd you mean by that?" asked Serena loudly, as she pounded on the bridge's door, which was locked by Cid.

"Serena, give it up," Uni finally spoke.

"Heh? Give up what?" Serena asked confused.

"…" Uni didn't answer her.

"Let's just go eat," Setsuna said.

"But I wanna know!!" Serena whined as loudly as before.

"Somebody gag her," said Uni.

"I'd be happy to!!" said Raye.

"No!!!!!!!!" Serena shrieked.

"BE QUIET!!!!!!" bellowed Uni, "Can't you just shut it for once? Let's get something to eat and let's shut it while we're doing it."

"Umm, she's right," said Rikku, surprised at Uni's outburst, "The cafeteria is this way."

Everyone followed Rikku towards the cafeteria. When they arrived, everyone ordered what they wanted to eat. Serena had the biggest load of all. Later, all of them were done with their lunch and the only person who was still eating was Serena. Lita, Mina, Setsuna, and Raye were used to her pigging out like this so they pretended that Serena wasn't there and were talking amongst each other. Uni ignored everyone and just stared out the window. Rikku, Kimahri, Lulu, Yuna, and Wakka gaped at Serena as she continued eating like a pig.

"Man, look at her eat, ya!" Wakka cried astonishingly.

"Gosh, where does she put it all?" asked Yuna.

"She must have a bottomless stomach!" said Rikku.

"Whoa," was the only thing Lulu said.

"Done, pigging out yet?" asked Uni while she was staring out the window.

Serena gulped down a piece of chicken and replied with her mouth full, "I guess. What do we do now?"

"…"

"YUNA!! RIKKU!! WAKKA!! LULU!! KIMAHRI!!! TROUBLE IN LUCA!! GET YOUR LIL BUTTS ON THE BRIDGE!!" Cid hollered from the bridge.

"Get on the bridge ASAP," replied Yuna.

"Mind if we tag along?" asked Lita.

"Sure why not. It's not going to do any harm. Let's go!" said Rikku.

All of them ran towards the bridge just to find out that Cid had locked the doors to the bridge. So they did the only thing that they could do. Everyone started to bang on the door, except Uni, Setsuna, Kimahri, and Lulu.

"Hey! Let us in!"

"Open the stupid door!!"

"No! Unlock it!!"

""Bang harder!!"

"AHHH!!!"

"Cid!! Open up!!"

"What's the point of calling us if they lock the door!?"

"Brother! Cid! Anybody! Somebody open the door!"

"…Ok that's it!! Move!!" said Uni.

Serena, Mina, Lita, Raye, and Amy moved but Yuna, Wakka, and Rikku kept banging the door, begging whoever was inside to open the door.

"Yuna, you guys better move. Trust me on this one. Always do whatever Uni says," said Mina.

"Umm…okay," said Yuna, "Wakka, Rikku, come on."

"Ok," they replied.

They stepped aside and joined Serena and the others. Uni stepped up to the bridge's door and kicked it really hard. The door fell onto the opposite side and Uni walked calmly over to the other door, which led to the bridge. She also kicked that door down.

"What in Yevon's name is going on!!" screamed Cid as he looked back.

"Door was lock," was the reply Uni gave him.

"You locked it remember?" said Yuna as she walked in.

"Oh, yeah. Sorry about that," Cid said sheepishly, "Anyways, there's another monster in Luca."

"You mean another monster? Not a fiend?" asked Lulu.

"Yep," replied Cid, " 'Nother monster. Except it's in Luca."

"What in Yevon's name is going on?" asked Wakka, "Why do these monsters keep showing up?"

"Yes, they're pretty strong. We couldn't even beat the one from Besaid," Lulu said thoughtfully.

"You mean, you didn't dispose of the one in Besaid?" asked Cid, then he laughed out loud, "You guys must be wimps! After that fight with Yu Yevon and you still can't beat a monster! Ha ha ha!"

"Hey! I'd like to see you try and beat one up!" said Lulu.

"Hahaha! That's just fine with me! I'll show you how a real warrior fights a monster!" laughed Cid.

"…Hmph!"

"…Don't underestimate them," Uni said, staring outside.

"Underestimate who?" asked Cid.

"Monsters," she simply replied.

"…Whatever. Getting rid of them will be a piece of cake!" he exclaimed.

"I warned you," was the only thing she said.

"I neither needed and didn't want your warning anyways," said Cid, then he turn to Brothers and yelled, "Well! What are you waiting for! Full speed ahead to Lucas!"

"…Ok…" he replied.

The airship's engines roar and off they went. Full speed towards Lucas where a monster named Mizu awaited them. But what they didn't expect was that her master, Garnet, was also there waiting. Waiting for people in particular and wanted to get revenge for those who had interfered in her last attack on the world Spira. Garnet also wanted to make sure that this time, her servant would not fail, like it's sibling Nappa.

"Pitiful!" she had said when she was watching Nappa getting destroyed by 'those annoying sailor scouts' as she called it, "Not even worth the effort to save if she was beaten that easily. And here I thought she was worthy to join our rank. Ha! That's a laugh."

Someone appeared beside her. It was her sister, Amethyst.

"What do you want!?" demanded Garnet.

"Oh, nothing. Just wanted to see how you were doing, sister dear" she replied in a sarcastic voice. She looked at Nappa and said, "Poor little thing. Isn't that pity? Aren't you going to save her pity little life, Garnet?"

"Hmph! She's not even worth saving! How dare she let those annoying sailor scouts beat her so easily! It's disgraceful!" Garnet replied angrily.

"That's true," said Amethyst, then she smiled evilly, "You better watch out Garnet, dear. Remember, the boss doesn't have a lot of patience. If you fail again, you might just be 'replace'. Heh heh! Don't want that to happen now do we?"

"No. We don't sister," Garnet said through her teeth, "We don't want that to happen."

Amethyst smiled, "I thought so. Better do a lotof damage this time so that if you happen to fail, the boss won't be so pissed at you. Just a little heads up. Ha ha! Have fun, oh, sister of mine!"

She disappeared, leaving Garnet by herself in her hiding place where Yuna and the others where chasing the sailor scouts, thinking, I hate it when she's right. If I don't do a better job next time, I'll be out permanently. I guess I'll make sure I get some energy and some people killed next time. Argh! Why did those pesky scouts have to follow us all the way down here!

"I'll make them pay!" Garnet said, "Those scouts will wish that they never messed with General Garnet Tsuki!!"
