Chapter 5

Garnet Defeated

"We've arrived at Lucas," said Brother.

"Good! Now I'll show you weaklings how to fight properly!" said Cid as he went to grab Tidus's sword.

"Hey! If you're so strong, then how come you wouldn't fight with us against Sin and Yu Yevon?" asked Rikku.

"Uh…That is uh…umm…I…The monster is waiting for us! Let's go!" said Cid and with Tidus's old sword he went down to Lucas.

"Sissy," muttered Rikku under her breath.

Everyone, except Rikku, Kimhari, and Uni laughed as they followed Cid down to Lucas. When they arrived, Cid was already trying to find the monster and thousands of people were screaming and running.

"You guys should stay in the ship," Yuna said to Setsuna and her group.

"No," she said firmly, "We will stay."

"But it's dangerous here," insisted Lulu, "You will all just get hurt."

"We can take care of ourselves," said Mina.

"But what if the monster 'happens' to find you? How would you defend yourselves?" asked Wakka and he added, "No offense."

"We have our way," said Raye.

"We are stronger than we look," said Lita.

"If we couldn't protect ourselves, we wouldn't be here today. There are a lot of fiends in Spira," said Serena.

"We would be dead," said Uni, staring at the crowd.

"They have a good point," said Rikku.

"We must go fine monster," said Kimahri, "No more wasting time."

"Kimahri has a point. So we should go," said Yuna.

"...Fine. Let's go," said Lulu.

"Spread throughout Lucas," said Kimahri.

"Right," said Yuna, then to Setsuna and the others, she said, "Promise us you'll stay here. We don't want you guys to get killed or something."

"Ok," said Setsuna, "We'll promise. But if you guys are in trouble or someone is, then we'll help them ok?"

"Ok," agreed Yuna and her group, "Come on."

Yuna, Wakka, Rikku, and Kimahri (oh, yeah and Cid, but he's already gone) left to find the new monster and Setsuna and her group stayed where they were as promised.

"What do we do now?" asked Serena.

"We wait," replied Uni.

"Ahh! Monster!" a woman yelled with her hands waving, as she ran.

Kimhari grabbed the woman and asked, "Where monster?"

"Over there!" she shrieked, pointing at the place where the Luca Goers usually hung out, and she added, "Some of the players are still there!"

"Come on!" Yuna yelled as she ran towards where the woman had said the monster was.

Kimhari put the woman down and she ran away, while the others followed Yuna. When they arrived, Mizu and Garnet were on the scene. Garnet had her whip and was whipping about destroying things. Cid was fighting against Mizu and was losing badly.

"Wakka and Kimhari, go help Uncle Cid," ordered Yuna, immediately when they arrived on the scene, "Lulu, Rikku, you guys are with me. We're taking that woman on."

"We're on it!" said Wakka.

"Let's go," said Lulu.

"Let's get it on!" cried Rikku.

They all went to their respective enemies and started to fight.

"Hey! Stop this destruction this instant!" yelled Yuna to Garnet.

Garnet froze for a second and turned to Yuna with an evil grin on her face. She whipped them with her whip and they all fell onto the ground, except Rikku, who was able to dodge it. Rikku cast a Flare spell, but it seemed to not affect Garnet.

"Ha ha! Is that all you got? I'll show you a real spell!" cried Garnet, "Hono no jigoku!"

"Ugh!" Rikku yelped.

"Heh heh," cackled Garnet.

"Who are you? Why are you doing this?" asked Yuna as she got up.

Garnet turned towards Yuna and replied, "I'm General Garnet Tsuki of the Dark Stars System. You have something I want and I will not stop until I get it. Do you understand?"

"What do you want from us?" asked Yuna.

"Ha ha ha! I doubt you have it," laughed Garnet, "I want the Sailor Scouts. So I can kill them. I want their powers. I want the Silver Imperium Crystal, the Golden Crystal, and the White Crystal. Can you give me those?"

"…No," replied Yuna, "But we won't just stand by and watch you destroy this world!"

"Watch me!" Garnet cast another spell of fire burning a third of Luca. She cackled evilly and prepared another spell.

"Dark Cosmos!"

"Golden Lunar!"

"Water Geyser!"

"Flaming Fire!"

"Thunder Strike!"

"Loving Hearts!"

"Flame of Hades!"

"Who's there?" demanded Garnet.

"I'm Sailor Moon, Champion of Justice and Love!" replied a voice.

"Sailor Mercury, Scout of Knowledge, is here!"

"I'm the Scout of War, Sailor Mars! Leave them alone or feel the wrath of Aries!"

"Be electrified by me, Sailor Jupiter, the Scout of Protection, if you don't back off!"

"You are interfering with the love here! I will stop you! Sailor Venus, Scout of Beauty and Love!"

"I am the Scout of Time, Sailor Pluto! Stop or beware of the power of time!"

"Get up, Yuna!" cried another scout, dressed in a black scout uniform.

"Sailor Scouts!?" exclaimed Garnet, "Exactly who I was waiting for!"

"I'm sure you were," replied Sailor Universe, "Now it's time for you to go back to Earth where the others are waiting for you."

"That's what you think!" Garnet growled, "I won't go back until I have found the true power of this world. The power that kills all! And I will not go back with out stealing your powers and the mighty crystals!"

"Ah! That's what you think. Keep hoping and you might just get it. Dark Void!" Universe snickered.

A dark portal appeared and on the other side two people dressed in the same uniforms as Universe, except that one was aquamarine and the other blue, was waiting.

"Sailor Moon, Jupiter, Mars, and Pluto, get Garnet in that thing. We'll take Mizu," ordered Universe.

"Right. Come on," said Sailor Moon.

"Ice Blaze!" Mercury attacked Mizu, making it back off Cid, Kimahri, and Wakka who were badly hurt.

"You guys ok?" asked Sailor Venus to Wakka.

"Yeah. A little bruise isn't stopping us from protecting Spira!" he replied, getting up only to fall again.

"Stay still," ordered Universe, "You'll only hurt yourself."

"Let us take care of Mizu," said Sailor Pluto.

"Cut the chit-chat," said Universe.

Then, Mizu attacked Universe with a surge of water and she fell into the ocean. Mizu turned towards Venus and Mercury with a menacing look on her face.

"Sailor Universe!" Mercury cried out.

"She's probably okay, Mercury. But right now we have to take of Mizu," said Venus, preparing to attack, "Venus Love Me Chain!" A chain of hearts went towards Mizu and tied her, while Venus was holding on to the other end.

"Mercury Aqua Rhapsody!"

"No!!!!" shrieked Mizu, "I can't be defeated! I can't be a failure like Nappa! Ah!!!"

"Oh no! Mizu's been destroyed!" cried Garnet as she heard Mizu's shriek. She turned towards Sailor Moon, Jupiter, Mars, and Pluto, "You scouts have interfered with my plans for the last time! I'll destroy you all! Blazing Fire!"

The attack knocked the scouts down and just as they were about to stand up, she attacked again in a rage. Venus and Mercury were helping Yuna and the others up while that was happening.

"Where's Universe?" asked Mercury as she scanned the ocean where Universe had fallen.

"I don't know. I hope she's ok," said a worried Sailor Venus. She turned towards the fight against Garnet and exclaimed, "The others are in trouble! Come on!"

They both ran back to Garnet and the other scouts who were badly hurt. Venus and Mercury both attacked but Garnet deflected it and attacked them, which they were unable to avoid. Once they were all on the ground unable to move, Garnet moved in for the kill.

"I should have done this myself long ago," she stated, "It would have been much easier … and quicker. Ha ha ha! Prepare to die!"

"No, I think you should prepare to go back," Universe said as she emerged from the waters, "Psychic Blast!!" Purple energy knocked into Garnet and she was inches from the dark hole, where the two scouts where waiting. "Grab her!" ordered Universe. They did as they were told and each grabbed one of Garnet's arms.

"No!!!" shrieked Garnet, "I won't go back!!! Not until I get what I want!!!" The scouts pulled harder, but could not budge her.

"We can't get her!" said the scout in aquamarine.

"Let me be of assistance, Neptune," said Pluto.

"You're too weak!" said the woman in blue, "Don't waste your energy."

"No. It's okay, Uranus," replied Pluto, giving her a weak smile.

"Pluto! If you're going to do something, do it now! The portal won't hold for much longer!" said Universe, "It's really draining my powers." She fell onto the ground, showing that the portal had taken much of her energy.

"Right," nodded Pluto and to Neptune and Uranus she said "Watch out, I'm going attack blasting her back to the other side."

"Ready," they replied.

"Dead Scream!" A gust of wind, so hard that it sound like whistles, blew into Garnet. She tried to hold on as hard as she could, but with Pluto's attack and the two other scouts pulling her in, she had no choice. She was pulled onto the other side just as the portal finally closed.

"We did it!" cried Sailor Moon. Everyone cheered. Sailor Moon looked towards Sailor Universe, but she was unconscious. "Oh my gosh! Universe!" she rushed to her side and held her head in her lap. "Wake up!"

"She's badly hurt," said Yuna, stepping up to the scouts with her friends behind her.

"You should let our Summoner heal you," said Lulu.

"She healed us up real good, ya," agreed Wakka.

"She's great!" said Rikku.

Yuna blushed, "Aw you guys. That's not true."

"Yuna greatest healer in Spira," said Kimahri.

"Thank you, all," thanked Yuna, still blushing, then she turned back her attention to the scouts, "With your permission I would be honored to heal you all from your wounds."

"…Ok," said Sailor Moon, "Thank you so much."

"No, thank you. You have rid Spira from that evil woman," said Yuna. Raising her staff, she recited the words, "Curaga!" The scouts wound magically disappeared when Yuna recited the words.

"Wow! I suddenly feel all freshen up," exclaimed Venus.

"Yes, I feel as if my powers have come back to me," agreed Pluto.

Suddenly, Sailor Universe woke up groaning. She rubbed her head and looked around in confusion, as if she didn't know where she was.

"What happened?" she finally asked, "I feel like I've been hit by Galaxia a millions of time."

"Actually, you just got drained of energy by that portal of yours," said Sailor Moon.

Sailor Mars added sarcastically, "Yeah, that portal idea of yours was a great idea."

"Oh shut up," replied Universe, just as rudely, "It was the only to send them back. Besides, I have to do this 11 more times you know. You're not the one that's going to get knocked out every time if the portal is opened up for too long. So don't get sarcastic with me."

"You mean there's more people like her?" asker Rikku, interrupting their conversation.

"Yes," replied Sailor Mercury, "Evil from our world as heard of a power that killed many people every 10 years here in Spira. They are trying to get their hands on it, as well as the three legendary crystals."

"Legendary Crystals?" asked Lulu.

"Yes, the Silver Crystal, Golden Crystal, and the White Crystal," replied Sailor Mars.

"Two of them are with us and the other is in our world," explained Sailor Venus.

"Sailor Moon has the Silver Crystal and Uni…" started Pluto.

"Stop telling them! They don't need to know!" interrupted Universe, "We have to protect the crystals from them and we don't need you guys to go blabbing it about!"

"Sorry," said Pluto.

"Whatever," replied Universe, rolling her eyes, "Come on."

"Bye," said Sailor Moon, waving Yuna and the others good-bye.

The scouts, one by one, followed Universe. Yuna and the others watched them until they were out of sight.

"That Universe girl is really mean. I'd hate to get on her bad side," said Wakka.

"Yeah," said Rikku.
