Chapter 4: Truth be told and son be born

 

Nine months did not go quickly. As they passed by yuna went through plenty as well as the rest of the group. Rikku was sitting on the deck watching the clouds and sighed.

“I'm sorry.” The words caused her to jump. She had no idea someone, besides herself, was up there, “I shouldn't have paid attention to brother.”

Someone's warm hands turned her around to face them. It was buddy.

“But, you see, when brother mentioned it was yours, I couldn't resist.” Buddy pulled her close while he said this and wrapped his arms around her, “I love you Rikku.”

Rikku blushed then relaxed in his arms, “I love you too buddy.”

“Hey as soon as you two quit cuddling, we have a problem.” Paine said as she came up from down in the ship, “Yuna's showing signs of pre-mature birth and it looks serious.”

“Eh right!” Rikku left buddy's embrace and ran over to Paine, “Lead the way” she gave a fake smile to hide the fact that she really felt like blushing.

“You know the way Rikku. Your dad built the ship.” Paine muttered as she took the elevator back down with Rikku, “And was it just me or were you and buddy getting a little close up there?”

“Since when do you want to know anything about your friends?!” Rikku asked pointing a finger in Paine's chest.

Paine moved her hand away, “Since I hung around you too much.”

“Hmph.” As soon as the door to the elevator was open Rikku was gone to the cabin. Paine shook her head.

Yuna groaned turning in her bed again and Paine nearly jumped all of the stairs, “Where the hell are the men?!”

“Who cares? Barkeep we need hot water and lots of towels. Now!” the Hypello barkeep took off to get them at Rikku's orders and she looked up at Paine, “You go get the men I got this.”

“Actually I'll be with yuna. You go ahead.” Paine said with a glance at her feet then back to Rikku.

“Whatever just don't kill her!” Rikku left to go get the men. But before she could even get within two feet of the elevator tidus shot out of it and up to yuna brother and Shinra behind him.

Rikku smiled, “Even though he knows it's not his kid he still wants to be its father. So cute.”

“Let me go see yuna Rikku!” Brother yelled when Rikku wouldn't let him pass.

“Brother you ain't the daddy or a woman now are you? The birth isn't public! We aren't a frickin' museum!”

After a few minutes of bickering they stopped hearing a baby cry, “IT'S BORN!” Both of them shot into the room to see what the baby looked like.

Paine jumped down next to Rikku and brother as they ran in, “It's a baby boy. He's cute.”

“No duh.” Rikku shot up the stairs and a giant AW was heard not long afterwards, “HE'S SO CUTE!”

“What are yoo goinging too name him mish yoona?” Barkeep asked while whipping off his hands.

“Tristan. I have my own reasons to name him that.” Yuna smiled tired like to tidus, “Unlike most people I can't blame the pain on you. Poopie.”

Rikku and the others laughed.
