Her eyes fluttered open revealing mako green eyes. It was dark inside the room, and cold. Tapping from the rain on the window kept the room from silence.

Sitting up slowly, she could taste copper in her mouth.

Eww…most likely from the chlorophyll…

Aeris looked about the room. It was very dirty and plain, with just a bed, and a single window. The door was right in front of her.

Quickly getting up, she reached the door and turned the knob. Locked.

"No!" she said softly.

"Jenova huh…?"

Aeris froze as she heard voices. It sounded like two men…one that she knew too well…

"Zack…,"Aeris dreaded.

Whats he planning to do with me?! She listened on.

"Ilfana…Certa…Sephiroth…Vin-"

Aeris's attention was diverted by tapping on the glass. It was still very dark outside, but a figure moved just outside the window. She swore she saw a flash of gold before it tapped the glass again.

"I see you," Aeris whispered as she walked quietly to the window. Quiet as she could, she opened the window, letting some rain in. To her disappointment, metal bars blocked her and her rescuer.

"Oh no!" Aeris said sadly. The figure hushed her.

"Shh. Its okay, just be quiet," he said gently. Aeris blushed at the sound of his voice; deep and thick, but young.

"Okay," she said with a smile. She was positive he smiled back.

"Stand back," the man said. Aeris did as she was told. Next thing she herd was four gun shots and then the sound of metal against metal. Very loud.

"The hell was that?!" Zack said. Aeris heard footsteps coming toward the door.

"No! He's coming!" Aeris wailed in fear. She ran toward the window, the man still there.

"You're going to have to jump," he said quickly. Aeris gaped.

"Are you nuts?! I'll hurt myself,"

"You can stay then," he said. There was a flap of wings and the figure was gone.

Aeris panicked.

"JUMP!" the figure said from a distance. "YOU'LL BE FINE,"

"TRUST ME!"

The doorknob turned as Aeris ran to the window. She lifted a leg up and heaved herself on the shelf.

"NO!" Zack yelled.

"I trust you," she said quietly looking skyward.

Aeris gulped before thrusting her legs and jumping out into the cold night rain.

Good girl…

Aeris felt her body fall like the rain. Flapping wings reassured her and she fell into strong arms. One that felt as cold as the rain.

"Gotcha," the man said. Aeris looked up and saw a flash of scarlet eyes. "Your safe with me now,"

The man leaned down and kissed her forehead. She smiled just before fainting.

"YOU AGAIN!" Zack yelled from his room. The man looked up.

"Tell ShinRa to FUCK OFF, or else," the man said. His demon wings flapped once and sent him skyward, and then Zack saw him no more.
