Ch 1 No HaPPy ViEw

"Another night of solitude." I groaned to myself as I pushed the lid off the coffin I was sleeping in. Not that I was complaining about it. In fact I was enjoying every second without the annoying troupe of useless piles of flesh, Cloud and his obnoxious little followers. To believe I subjugated myself to that torture out of my own free will.

I slid from the coffin irritated from my dwelling thoughts. I stretched feeling the cool air that filled the crypt caress my naked body. Well, almost naked. I always kept my crimson cape and bandana on. It was a fetish of mine. It was like my left metal claw, something that without, I wasn't complete.

I made my way up the spiral staircase to the main part of the mansion. My face turned into a scowl as my thoughts returned to Cloud. I let him drag me around for months, while he chased after Sephiroth on some stupid mission to save the planet. I should of just let meteor destroy this pathetic world.

I sighed clapping twice. "Music." I said as the sound system I installed kicked on Diary of Dreams. With all the extra time and money I had, I decided to update the decaying mansion I called home. I installed speakers in every room and a voice activated stereo system. It probably would have been more intelligent to actually fix it up, but Hojo did a good job on making me practically indestructible. I held up the metal claw flexing it into a fist.

It wasn't like anyone was going to be in the mansion but me, I thought as I walked into the kitchen and grabbed the can of coffee grounds. I set it on the counter checking the drawer under the coffee maker. I sighed resting my head on my second favorite machine in the whole house realizing I didn't have any damn coffee filters.

"The constant torment of my existence." I said knowing the night was ruined.

My head shot up and my teeth gritted together. I slowly turned my head to see the brave soul that would dare set foot in my domain. My clawed hand moved before I was able to get a look at the face it smashed into as I felt the hand of the intruder grab my ass. The other covered his face as he groaned on the floor. I recognized the sound and the clothing the other wore. The stupid billowy purple pants tucked into his boots and the obnoxious metal spiked bracelet. The too big belt to go with the compensating sword. He was still wearing the sleeve bandit black shirt.

"What the hell are you doing here? I told you to never come near me again you insignificant waste." I growled crouching down grabbing the other by the shirt. He rubbed his hand through his unruly blonde hair looking confused, too wide, Mako blue eyes at me.

"Vincent?" I saw the blood leaking from the side of his lip. His cheek was already forming a bruise where I hit him.

"Who the hell else would it be Cloud? You know no one stays here other than I. Why have you come here? What did you hope to gain other than your death." I retracted my hand giving him time to answer, but knowing either way I was going to hit him.

"Vincent, wait." Cloud held his hands in defense knowing he was well out of his depth with me. "Vincent, I swear I don't know what I'm doing here. It's...I don't know what's going on."

"So, you cannot explain to me why your hand was on my backside. Inexcusable."

"Vincent, I'm serious. I don't even know how I got here. Last thing I remember was being in Midgar with Tifa and Barret." I stared down at Cloud's cowering form. For some unknown reason I couldn't bring myself to hit the insignificant man. He slowly brought his hands down from his face. His eyes running over my crouched form.

"So, uh, why are you naked?" My fist connected with his cheek again. I let him go, heading down to my room to get my clothes.

"Because you're not supposed to be here. Disappear before I return from the crypt, otherwise your existence will be a fading memory." I said before walking down the stairs to the crypt.

I grumbled to myself as I entered my room. I sighed resting my hands on the edge of my coffin. "Why do I even bother waking?" I questioned myself as I leaned my head back closing my eyes.

"Why the hell would Cloud come here? Does he really expect me to believe his pitiful excuse? Ha, I bet the next thing he'll tell me is Sephiroth is still alive." I snorted leveling my head and opening my eyes. My lips parted in disbelief from the image before me. I let go of the coffin trying to push myself away from the horror that stood before me. His hands grabbed my wrists. His grip was tight and oh so real.

"This is another nightmare." I breathed staring into the intelligent green glare. I watched the red lips twist upwards at the sides as the silver haired man pulled me against the black leather that covered him.

"It's been awhile. Hasn't it dear Vincent?" His voice was darker then the beat of :Wumpscut: that now filled the mansion. It some how fit the scene I was stuck in.

"You don't exist any longer." I murmured against the metal shoulder guard my chin rested against. I could feel the others hand rubbing down the back of my cape. I was frozen in indecision with the buckles of his coat digging into my chest by the tightness which he held me.

"Yet here you stand in my arms." His breath was hot against my ear. My head was a swirl of emotion. I could feel the darkness rising in me, aching for me to give my form over to it. "I can feel the darkness in you." The other groaned in my ear. He held my head between his hands and leaned his face close to mine.

"It's inside me." He tilted his head licking his lips. A snarl took my features as my clawed hand gripped his face pushing it back from me. I didn't need to change forms to take care of this ghost of a man.

"What are you? Just another clone." I squeezed the face covered by my claw until his hands released my head. "Go get your other half and get out of my house." I growled throwing the other at the wall, which he passed through. I glared there for a moment trying to calm my flaring anger.

"I hate this night." I said as I put on the black button up shirt, black pants, and slipped the black fingerless glove over my right hand. "Stupid fuckin clones." I grumbled pulling on my gold tipped boots and grabbing the rifle, checking the clip.

"If either of you remain in my realm you will perish." I gave warning as I headed up the stairs. A rare hope rose in me that I would come across the two as I cocked the rifle and an even rarer smile crept across my face.

The smile waned as I exited the secret passage of the crypt and the room was empty. I searched through the levels of the house, checking the traps I had set to deter any from entering my lair.

All were secure, even the monsters I had summoned. I sat on the steps staring at the front door. There was no way anyone could get in without at least tripping one of the traps. Perhaps they could run from the monsters, but not all the traps.

I set the rifle down next to me rubbing my hands over my face. "Am I that addicted to coffee?" I wondered thinking maybe it was all a hallucination. It wouldn't of surprised me if it was. Ever since Cloud woke me from my long slumber I've had hallucinations. I fell back on the steps. I wished on a nightly basis that I could go back into that never ending sleep, that I wouldn't have to stay lost in these visions.

I placed the clawed hand on my forehead relishing the coolness it granted me. Forever a memory of Hojo and Lucrecia. I had to wonder if telling her how much I cared for her back then would have mattered. I smirked knowing it wouldn't. I knew something was going on between her and Hojo, but I didn't think she was sleeping with him.

"The ignorance of disillusioned love." I sighed with resentment. Resentment that I no longer cared what befell her. I had loved her, but time kills everything within its grasp. She made choices as did I, right or wrong, the past was gone. I only yearned for solitude.

"Will make true love that much deeper." I reached for the gun as I met the cold green pools of the man that stood between my legs. The other held the gun in his hand with a smirk.

"Sephiroth." I leaned my head back looking to the top of the steps see the owner of the protest there.

"Cloud." I growled moving to go after the other, but Sephiroth fell on top of me. My shoulders hit his arms as he kneeled on the step between my legs, barely holding his body above mine. I was infuriated that I had missed both the men in my thorough search.

"Ah, my puppet has come to join us." Sephiroth said looking up towards Cloud.

"Why are you here?" I growled, my attention moving to the man above me.

"Isn't it obvious?" Sephiroth smirked down on me with seductive eyes.

"Dare you question me here." I hissed through clenched teeth as I pulled my right hand into a tight fist.

"You're in no position to threaten me boy." Sephiroth practically purred.

"Your arrogance is as limitless as my hate for you." I snarled swinging at him. His body wavered above me and he became transparent. My hand went through his face then his body passed through me and into the steps below.

I couldn't hold back the shudder. "That was repulsive." I said unable to stop myself from wiping at my body. I had known Sephiroth could pass through walls and floors, but not people.

"What the hell is he doing here? I thought you said you were alone." I slowly rose to my feet to meet an infuriated Cloud, his hand reaching for his sword.

"If you draw your weapon you relinquish your life to me." I said evenly letting Cloud gauge my intent. His hand dropped from the hilt. "Though letting you live seems to be a punishment to the future."

Cloud quirked an eyebrow. I could almost hear the empty ringing that filled his head. I understood why Hojo thought he was a mistake. It amazed me how someone so stupid could still be alive. I always waited for the day I would have to remind him to breath.

"Never mind." I scoffed turning away from him. "Get that repulsive man and yourself out of my house. I refuse to warn you again."

"I didn't bring him here. I was asking you what you were doing with him."

I spun on Cloud, the fury taking me and my words. "I doing with him! The audacity of your words! You think I would associate with such a monstrosity." I grabbed the front of Clouds shirt with my clawed hand, lifting him to eye level. "He is Hojo's offspring. He is nothing more to me than an extension of my ever growing hatred. And you...you are nothing more than a piece of him. You test my patients with your presents." I threw the smaller man into the door.

Cloud broke through the door sliding down the walkway. I stood glaring down on the shocked man. I noticed his eyes looking past me. I reached my hand back gripping the cold metal barrel of the rifle. I turned on Sephiroth.

"You have a strong sense of others in this mansion. I can smell your energy throughout it." He said sniffing along my neck. I bared my teeth as I pulled the rifle from his hand, sidestepping him, and using the butt of it to push him out the door.

"Take your fucking puppet and leave my sight." I turned my back to them ready to walk away.

"I am also the only thing left of the one you loved so much." My whole body tensed. My teeth clenched and eyes squeezed shut at Sephiroth's words. "I am all you have of Lucrecia. Do you really mean to turn your back on me? On her? This is your chance to repent for you sins."

I glared at the source of the shaking rage that was overtaking me. I opened my mouth to speak, but was unable to form words. I was panting, each breath pulling more of the murderous anger in. I knew what was coming, I could feel Galian Beast rising in me.

"Get out of here!" My voice barley sounded human as I yelled to them. I started to feel the pain moving up my spine and into my head. My hands gripped my sides trying to hold that ravenous beast in. "Leave here and never return!" I screamed throwing myself into the house.

I stumbled my way towards the crypt hoping I would make it in time. I knew there was nothing I could hurt down there. I just needed to make it. I fell to my knees the pain overriding any attempts I made to remain human and I lost myself again to the darkness.

"Hey Vincent, you all right man." I opened my eyes, my head was pounding like someone had cracked me in the back of the head with a shovel. I groaned as a sign of life to the other above me.

I felt the hand on my arm help me up. I blinked slowly looking at the man. I knew him, but couldn't string thoughts together over the throbbing. He shook his head at me, his red hair pulled back into a ponytail. His spiked bangs stuck out over the black sunglasses he wore on top of his head. He looked at me as if he knew what I was looking for.

"It's Reno man. Damn Vincent, you get so fucked up when you turn back to yourself." I squinted my eyes trying to pull away from Reno. I managed to free myself stumbling away from him not exactly sure where I was. I felt my right leg give. I saw the tall, bald, black man move to my side. Rude caught me before I hit the ground. He shook his head at me. I noticed he was still wearing the sunglasses over his eyes, even though it was night.

Reno came to my side and put a shoulder under my arm, taking my weight from Rude. I didn't have the energy to fight him, so I let him lead me. I wasn't paying attention to where we were going. I was too distracted with the aching all over my body.

I was about to protest to Reno and have him drop me. I just wanted to sit down. I didn't care where, which was a good thing as I realized the bastard dragged me into a tavern. I glanced at him out of the corner of my eye.

"Hey, I know I need a drink and I'm pretty sure the idea's soundin good to you bout now too." I shook my head as he set me in a booth, pushing me in, and sitting next to me. Rude sat across from us holding his fist up and shaking it in agreement. Rude never said much, but shook his fist a lot. It took awhile to get all the meanings, but after you've been around him awhile you can catch on. The one he was doing now meant he wanted a beer. I sighed resting my head against the window.

"Where are we?"

"On the other side of town from your place." Reno said looking at me serious. "It's been almost a year since I've seen you change." I looked to Reno then turned my gaze to the dim lit street. I couldn't explain what happened because I wasn't even sure. I hated when I changed forms. I could never remember what happened during or before. It was only through dreams and hallucinations it would come back to me and never together. I needed someone to tell me what happened to get the picture right.

A waitress came to the table and took the attention from me for a moment. I knew she was speaking, but my thoughts had already drifted. I thought of Reno's comment. It had been a year since anyone had seen me change, since everything with Jenova and Shinra happened. Reno and Rude had asked me to rejoin the Turks, but it wasn't something I could do.

Reno, Rude, Elena, and some of the other Turks decided to stick together despite Shinra's defeat. I guess they wanted to keep a military force on hand just in case anything tried to rise against the people. I think it was their way of making up for fighting on the wrong side.

I had run into the two when I returned from Cloud's wasteful quest. I looked around the tavern and realized it was the same place we'd been the night Reno told me that Rude and him were staying in Nibelheim. I hadn't question it at first, but every time I left the mansion I would run into one of the two. I confronted Reno about six months ago. It took a case of beer and a bottle of vodka, but he finally told me what I had suspected.

The Turks were around just incase something got out of hand. I was one of those things. I was pulled from the memory as Reno shoved an overflowing mug of beer in my face.

"What are you sulking about now?" He laughed as he tapped my glass with his and started drinking. I followed suit. He sighed in contentment setting the beer on the table. "Now tell me, ya tormented soul." Reno laughed. I looked over at Rude. He just shrugged.

"I was recalling when you told me why you were here." I said drinking the rest of the mug and pushing it to Reno, who's mug was still half full.

"Oh, so you feelin like gettin tore up tonight eh?" Reno was one of the few people I could tolerate on a regular basis. I nodded at him as he yelled for the waitress to "keep it comin all night and put it on the Turks tab."

"Well, ya know if they put anyone else on to watch ya they might take ya out when you change forms, but Rude and I got yer back. All ya need is a shovel to the back of the head and you go down." I raised an eyebrow at Reno rubbing the back of my head.

"And here I thought it was just a clever metaphor for the pounding in my skull." Reno handed me a full beer.

"Ha, is that whacher head felt like. Well man, you guessed right. We weren't sure if it'd work, but Rude got your attention and I just cracked that thing on the back of yer head and whaddya know. Yer ass hit the floor." I brought the beer to my lips brooding over the two.

"And I let you in my house."

"Hey, don't take it personally. At least we didn't shoot ya." Reno slapped his hand on my back making me almost lose the mouthful of beer. "But seriously man, you ain't done that shit since we've been here. Even when we kicked it at your place you seemed fine. What's goin on with ya?"

I closed my eyes taking down the beer knowing I wouldn't remember. "I don't know." I set the mug down staring at it's emptiness and feeling the same way inside. "I never remember."

"Oh shit, sorry man. You told us that once. Shit Rude why didn't you stop me, ya ass."

"...." Rude shrugged as Reno reached over and nailed him in the shoulder.

"It's not a big deal, ya didn't hurt nobody." Reno said filling the emptiness of my glass. "Now start drinking before you become all fuckin depressing." I elbowed Reno in the side as I took a drink of my beer. Reno wasn't ready for it and spit his beer all over Rude. I was barley able to swallow the drink I had taken before I bursted into laughter.

It was a feeling I had too often forgotten, but Reno managed to bring it out in me with crap like that. I couldn't help getting sucked into his world when I was with him. It would start with one beer and end with me waking up on the floor of the sitting room in the mansion surrounded by bottles and him snoring on one of the couches, Rude on the other. Reno always seemed to make me lose myself.

We stayed at the bar till they threw us out for being too rowdy, which was a common occurrence when Reno and I got drunk together. We would talk about our time with the Turks and compare them. Then he would get me talking about Cloud and that always got me loud, especially when I was drunk.

"Vincent. Dude, we should go to yer place man. Come on, it's been like two weeks since we drank there." Reno leaned on me making us both stumble across the road. Rude tried to help us, but only helped in making us stumble the opposite way.

"Yeah...yeah thad be sweet." I laughed. "But wait dude, I don't have any beer." Reno grinned holding up a crate of bottles that he must of got from the bar. "You always thinkin ahead." I grinned. I had to wonder if who I was with Reno was the real me, or the brooding man I was the rest of the time. Of course none of it mattered as the three of us stubbled down the road. I was held up by the two men on either side of me, while I sang, well yelled more than sang, the last few versus of Want by The Cure. Oh yeah, I was in my own little world.

We walked through the gate as I finished my song and was dropped. I fell on my ass and rolled to my back unable to keep my balance. I cackled with tears falling from my eyes.

"Were you thinking of me as you sang?" The voice was familiar and I knew it was meant for me, but I couldn't get up. I tried to hold it back, but gut wrenching laugh took me over.

"Sephiroth, what the hell are you doing here?" Reno's voice had lost all the booze to it as he growled to the other.

"Put your weapons down. If I was here to hurt anyone, you wouldn't be standing where you are. My plans of world domination failed. I am by no means an ignorant man. I know what I am capable of and the things that are out of my grasp. I came to see the only thing with any meaning to me." I heard Reno cock his gun and Rude follow suit, but I couldn't stop laughing.

"I will not ask you again to holster your weapons. I've destroyed this town once and could again with a snap of fingers. You know you're out matched. Understand that and lets avoid such trivial actions." I looked over at Reno who put up his gun.

"Who fuckin talks like that?" I laughed still rolling on the ground holding my stomach. I tried to calm myself enough to get up, but it was proving harder than I thought. I felt the presence above me and watched Sephiroth appear transparent behind me from the ground. His form slowly solidified as he crouched down to get a closer look at me.

"My dear Vincent, are you drunk?" His hand brushed along my cheek, which puffed out as I tried to restrain myself. I had no chance as my body shook and that happy sound echoed off the mansion.

"Yep." I snickered as I felt myself hoisted to my feet. I leaned back against the man that was holding my weight. Reno snapped his fingers in front of me until I looked up at him.

"Dude, you know that's Sephiroth behind you right. Ya know the guy who's suppose to be dead and shit. The one we all went to kill last year." I watched Reno rub his head. "Shit, how the hell am I even being cool with this? I mean the guys suppose to be dead. I think I should feel more phased than this. Or at least you should since your leaning on him man." I scrunched my face in attempted thought.

"Well, ya know I slept for some ridiculous amount of time and I'm still alive. And there's the whole monsters living inside me thing." I said the last in a creepy voice going rigid, trying to mimic Frankenstein. "Besides, who gives a fuck. It ain't like he's doing anything, right. Fuck it just ignore him or some shit. Oh damn, dude you think it's a ghost?" I grinned pushing off of the other and grabbing Reno around the neck so we could stumble into the doorless house.

"A ghost that you can fall against? Shit, anything's possible these days. Eh Vincent, if yer gonna remodel you should call some people that can use tools." Reno laughed letting the booze take him again as we disregarded the fallen wood.

We made our way through the halls to the sitting room, which was between the kitchen and bathroom. Ideal locale for drinking. Reno threw me and Rude a beer and took three more out knowing we would go through them quick. He unloaded the rest in the kitchen fridge.

Rude was sitting to the right of me on one of the black dingy couches and Reno took the one that sat in front of me a little to the left, incase I decided I wanted to move to the couch. I was on my normal drinking spot, the floor, legs kicked out, leaning back on my left elbow. Reno tilted his beer back taking a long drink, which I joined him in.

"Man, pretty fucked up seein Sephiroth here." I heard him choke on the last word and pulled my beer down to see the topic of conversation sitting in front of me next to Reno.

"Isn't it?" He grinned darkly at me. Reno was left staring open mouthed. He shook his head leaning towards Sephiroth. I smirked as I watched Reno slowly poke his finger into the dark figure.

"Dude," Reno was looking to me still poking at Sephiroth, "I don't think he's a ghost." Sephiroth's attention turned to the man poking him. Reno looked back at Sephiroth and to his hand, then pulled it away.

"Eh, sorry bout that. It's kinda unsettling how you just popped out of the fuckin wood work and shit. Though this place does got that eerie spook house feel to it." Reno directed the last towards me.

"Oh, so fuckin sorry my house cleanin skills ain't up to par with yours, Betty fuckin Crocker." Reno and I laughed at each other before Sephiroth felt the urge to interrupt us as he leaned forward on the couch staring me down with his catlike eyes.

"Don't you wonder why I'm here Vincent, or what it is I want?" I took the time to drink instead of think. I finished the beer and opened the other chugging it empty.

"Nope." I sighed out wiping my mouth. "Yer gonna get me another beer from the kitchen bitch." My body shook in silent laughter.

"Aw snap!" Reno yelled hitting Sephiroth in the arm. "Dude, he just busted you." Reno laughed. I watched Sephirtoth's smile waver, then it grew wider. His eyes closed and he seemed to concentrate a moment. We watched the figure come through the kitchen door holding three beers.

"Shit Cloud's here too. I ain't seen that motherfucker for a minute." Reno said grabbing the beer from Cloud's extended hand. "So what you been...uh" Reno left the rest unsaid as Cloud moved to Rude, then me handing us our beers.

I glanced between Sephiroth and Cloud. Sephiroth opened his eyes laying back on the couch. I watched Cloud's eyes focus. He looked between the four of us.

"What the hell?" His eyes met mine and I saw panic take his face as he fell to his knees next to me bowing his head to the ground. "Vincent, please forgive me for returning here. It wasn't by choice. It's Sephiroth. He's doing this to me. Please, just let me leave here." His blue eyes quivered as they looked up to me. I tried to glare down at him, but he was just too pathetic. I couldn't help but laugh in his face.

Cloud looked confused between the rest. Reno was dying laughing with me, Rude was doing his normal fist in the air, but huge smile on his face, meaning he's laughing inside. Sephiroth on the other hand was glaring down at him.

"Christ Cloud, you sound like a fuckin pussy. Look at Vincent. How could you be scareda that?" Cloud looked to me with the end of Reno's words. I gave him a liquored filled grin.

"Is he drunk?"

"Why does everyone find it so damn shocking I'm fuckin drunk. Shit Cloud, you do know that half the time I was with ya goin after this fuck," I pointed with my thumb at Sephiroth, "I was wasted as hell. The only way I could stay with all those annoying bitches, including you, was if I got wasted. I just never drank with you motherfuckers. I didn't hate myself that much yet, but you see how things change." I finished holding the beer up towards him and pulling half of it down.

"Careful Vincent, you're already wasted." Reno said noticing how much I had drank.

"Well, ain't that the damn point." I sat up giving Reno the finger with the clawed hand. "Ya know what we need." I clapped my hands twice. "Music." I clapped them again. "Tactical Sekt." I also programed my player to recognize band names. It made it so much easier to hear what I wanted when I was drunk, which seemed to happen more and more the longer I knew Reno.

I started to get into the beat as the conversations went on around me. My ears perked at Cloud's mention of being in my domain earlier in the night. I yelled for him to speak up over the music and he explained what had transpired. What I had lost in my transformation. I glared over to Sephiroth, who was smiling at me, the others were looking between the two of us.

Sephiroth stood from the couch and walked over to me. He straddled my legs crouching in front of me. I looked away from the intense green gaze. He grabbed my chin forcing me to look at him.

"What are you going to do, dear Vincent?" I pulled away from his grip finishing my beer and shoving it in his face.

"Make yer stupid ass go get me a beer." I said. He grabbed the empty and I pushed him back sending him on his ass between my legs. "Yer fuckin lucky I can't get up right now, otherwise yer ass would be laid out." I was attempting to hold onto my anger, but after changing and being so wasted it was hard to do.

"Damn Vincent. That was the lamest threat I ever heard from you." Reno chuckled.

"Fuck you Reno." I said putting my arm behind my head as I laid back on the floor feeling trashed.

"Your drink." I slowly rolled my eyes open to Sephiroth holding the beer above my chest. I grabbed it lifting my head up a bit to take the mind numbing liquid in.

I glanced over at Rude. I guess all the excitement was lost to him as his head hung to the right. Though he always wore the sunglasses you could tell by his posture he was done for the night. I was feeling mighty close to that point. I tried to sit up, but it was proving impossible. I felt someone slip behind me lifting me to a sitting position and pulling my back against their chest. I watched the black booted legs slip out on either side of mine. I leaned my head to the side looking up at the other with one eye closed.

Sephiroth smiled down at me rubbing a gloved thumb over my lips. I pushed his hand away and leveled my head. "Shit man, I ain't no fag. That's all Cloud." I said pointing at Cloud and laughing at the scowl he was giving me.

"I'm not gay. I went on a date with Aeris and Tifa and I..." Reno cut him off before he could go on pretending.

"Dude, you are the gayest motherfucker I've ever met, and trust me I've run into some queens. You ain't gotta stay in the closet for our benefit, it ain't like we give a fuck. I mean come on you did grab Vincent's ass, which you know he liked." Reno laughed hysterically.

"You sick fuck. Dude when I get up tomorrow. I'm so kickin yer face in." Reno yawned taking another drink from his beer.

"Yeah Vin, whatever you say." I watched him lean his head back on the couch knowing he was wasted by the few times we had drank together. He only called me Vin when he was well beyond drunk and couldn't remember the last part of my name or if we were alone.

"You passin out on me." I yawned to Reno. The only reply I got was a loud snore from his area. It amazed me at how he and I could be in some crazy ass conversation and pass out before finishing it. We were just that talented.

I looked at the beer in my clawed hand. It was still half full. I brought it towards my lips thinking whether I wanted to drink it or pass out. It almost reached my mouth, but my arm was weaving so bad it was hard to hit the target. Sephiroth pulled it away from me and brought my head against his chest.

"Dude...I was drinkin that." I murmured with a yawn closing my eyes as he rubbed his hand through my hair.

My eyes slowly opened. If there was a hell on earth it was in my head. My hand went to the tender object that held my brain. I let out a low groan of death and questioned why I even talked to the red headed devil. I heard the long sigh and felt my head rise.

"Ah Vincent, you're up." Bile crept into my throat. I pushed myself up. Saliva filled my mouth as the picture formulated in my head. I was laying on Sephiroth's chest. I slept with him. Shit I hoped that was all I did last night. My hand covered my mouth as I tore over him to the bathroom and let the image spew from my mouth.

"Hey Vincent are you okay?" My head slowly turned to the figure in the doorway. A shudder ran up my body as I looked at him. I took deep breaths trying to calm my stomach as I leaned against the cool bathroom wall.

"I don't even want to talk to you." I watched the blonde man turn to leave. "Wait Cloud. I need a favor." His elated blue eyes returned to me. I repressed the snarl. "I need you to get coffee filters and make me some coffee, before I get out of the shower." I glared at him. If he failed at the task I was going to kill him. Maybe, I would anyway because he was apart of that disgusting Sephiroth creature. I pushed the thoughts from my mind feeling the urge to dry heave.

"You know it's already ten at night, but I will find some." Cloud said as he left the bathroom closing the door behind him.

I disregarded his words as I clapped twice. "Cleaner." I said knowing it was the band that could take my mind away. I turned the shower on nodding my head to the beat of Raster already letting go of reality. I stripped down, except for the cape and bandana. I had some issues, not like that wasn't obvious.

I let the steaming liquid pound on me. I leaned my head back from the shower unable to hear the music. I clapped and called for it to go louder. I spent ever last dollar I had on the system for good reason. I could feel the bass over the water and let my body sway with it as I cleaned the previous night from my body.

I stepped out of the shower unable to keep myself from moving to the beat, feeling better. Not as good as I would once I got some coffee in me, but good enough for me to sing with the song as I dressed. I finished pulling on the boots and looked into the mirror.

"You sing just like he." Sephiroth said. My reflection was him. "Though without the song I will still enjoy your beauty." Shards of the mirror fell against the clawed arm that crushed into it.

"You repulse me." I growled walking out of the bathroom into the smell of fresh coffee. I walked by Reno smacking him in the face. "Coffee's done." Reno groaned in response feeling close to how I was, like shit.

I stopped before I went into the kitchen. My teeth began to clench and unclench from the sound that filled my ears. I stood completely still waiting, making sure my assumption was true.

"I was just so worried about you Cloud, I couldn't help but follow you." It was Tifa's voice. I disliked her, but not as much as her other companion.

"And do you think I would seriously let her go by herself. Please. If something were to happen to her I would like seriously have noone to talk to anymore." I swear I could hear my teeth crack from the sound of the brain dead voice of Yuffie. I felt myself die a little as I walked into the kitchen and heard Tifa whisper my name and Yuffie practically scream it.

I grabbed a coffee cup filling it to the brim with the steaming liquid loving the thick black smell. I brought it to my lips taking a small sip of the scalding hot liquid. Yuffie jumped on my back wrapping her arms around me jolting the cup in my hand. The steaming black liquid spilled down the front of me turning the soft white skin under my shirt to a deep pink.

"Oh my gawd, I am so sorry. Seriously, I so didn't mean to do that, but I know you love me Vincent..." Her voice was like the keening cry of a calf getting it's throat slit. My clawed hand palmed her face and I slammed her head into the cupboard next to me.

"Your voice grates at my being." I growled. I stared down Cloud until he looked to me. "What is the meaning of this?" I questioned tossing a knocked out Yuffie into him.

"They followed me. I couldn't tell them to leave after coming all the way from Midgar. Vincent, please let them stay, I'll do anything you want." Cloud bowed his head with the last looking up at me with bedroom eyes. I snarled ready to go at him when the arm came around my chest. I looked down as I heard the bottle clink against my almost empty coffee mug.

"Hey, can't have coffee with out a little brandy in it. Come on Vincent, it's like a reunion." I looked over at Reno's grinning face as I felt the brandy leaking over my hand. "Hey, that's some serious abuse there Vincent."

I pushed him away from me taking down some of the heavy liquor. "It's funny you say that to me when you're the one overfilling the glass, jackass."

"Ah, just shut up and drink it. Listen to someone who knows what's good for ya." Reno said filling his cup with brandy and adding a dash of coffee. He handed the bottle to Rude who just drank from it. I held my head in my hand laughing at the two.

"Why do I not trust myself in the hands of the two of you?"

"Dude," Reno was leaning back on the counter smirking at me, "last night you were making fun of how Sephiroth talks and ya know, you sound jus like `im when yer sober." My smile disappeared as I glowered at Reno. Rude punched Reno in the shoulder stopping his laughter.

"Ey, come on Vincent. It was a joke. Man, you just get so fuckin sensitive when yer sober." I let all the breath from my body and took down the rest of the coffee and brandy. I threw the cup into the sink. Reno pursed his lips looking up at me from his coffee shaking his head.

"If who I am presses on you to much then why don't you and the rest of these useless bags of air take leave of my home. It is not like I request your worthless presence near me." I said as I left the room heading straight for the crypt.

"Hold on Vin." I stopped bowing my head, standing in front of the secret passage to the crypt. "Dude, come on. You know I didn't mean that shit."

I closed my eyes, parting my lips as I took a deep breath in knowing Reno wouldn't let me stay angry with him. I felt a softness press against my lips and the slick tongue enter my mouth. My eyes shot open as I tried to pull away from the too close blur. Hands held my head stopping my movement. I grunted against the other trying to free myself. My clawed hand went to tear the others face open. The grip was released and I fell back into Reno, who caught me. I coughed and spat as I looked up to the crypt door watching Sephiroth walk through the gray rock.

"You taste like death." He groaned licking along his lips.

"I'll show you death." I half yelled moving for him. Reno brought my face against the disintegrating carpet in the room.

"Calm the fuck down Vincent." He commanded in my ear pinning me down.

"I'll destroy him." I could feel myself losing control again.

"Vincent. Listen to me. You're going to calm down now," I felt the metal against my head and heard the bullet enter the chamber, "or your not gonna have a chance at the fuck." I laid there, breathing through my teeth focusing on the feel of the metal on my temple.

"Sephiroth get the fuck outta here. If ya wanna fuck with guys, go get up on Cloud." I couldn't help but snicker at Reno's comment. I heard Reno start to chuckle. "You know he'd like it." Reno added as he pulled the gun away from me and placed it back in the holster.

"So, would you really have shot me?" Reno helped me up and shrugged.
