DemonGirl-Setsuna: Hi there! Setsuna here!

Well, Yoko said some things that freaked out Vincent. But what did she mean by it? And what else was she going to say to him?

Side-Note: I haven't been playing my `Final Fantasy VII' so I have no news about it! But I have been playing a little bit of `Crisis Core' completing the missions and browsing the internet and found some information on a secret illegitimate-child of a certain infamous corporate President in `Crisis Core'! It's too bad that child dies during the events of the game though…

And in other news!

The reason why I hadn't updated is because I had moved three-weeks ago and was without internet for a week, had to unpack my stuff, and then I got sick…

And I apologize ahead of time if the Chapter sucks in places, I wrote them when I was either half-awake in the middle of the night or in the haze of my cold…

Anyway…

Here is Chapter 17!
Please Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I don't own Final Fantasy VII. But I've been playing my copy of the game and I'm on the third disc now!

`VINCENT!!!', Yoko mentally screams again, as she sees Vincent's crimson-eyes roll to the back of his head revealing only the whites of his eyes, his blood continuing to pump-out into the water as he begun to sink deeper towards the inky-blackness of the bottom of the sea followed by the trail of precious air-bubbles escaping from him mouth.

Thinking quickly, she touches a sliver-bracelet on her left-wrist causing a marble-sized purple-gem to glow and she takes a breath under the water, `Thank you Underwater-materia…', she praises in her mind, before swimming into the depths of the ocean after Vincent, and as soon as she had took hold of his arm the air-bubbles stopped flowing and the activated materia took over in allowing him to breath underwater.

`He's still unconscious… I guess I have no choice but to swim towards some land and pray my phone works, because the ship is long gone…', she sighs, looking up and finding no trace of the cruise-ship overhead, but she could see the sliver-light of the moon through the ripples of the waves, `The eye of the storm', she notes, swimming towards the surface, “A break from using materia is good for the time being…”, she mutters, as she looks up at the cloudless star-filled sky, “There's the north-star! Costa del Sol is to the West so it's this way…”, she reasons, as she starts swimming in the direction she chose dragging Vincent with her.

“This isn't good… I must have been swimming for hours…”, Yoko pants, as her vision began to blur, `My energy is running low…', she thinks, trying to keep herself and Vincent above the water.

She manages to clear her vision long enough to see that her and Vincent were drifting out of the storm's eye and that a huge wave was coming right for them, “Shit!”, she curses, tightening her hold on Vincent right before the wave washes over them, `Vincent…', she thinks, as the force of the wave knocks her unconscious.

Yoko moves her head causing her cheek rubbing on a rough-texture and she slowly blinks her reddish-brown eyes open to see what the substance was to find that it was moonlit-sand of a beach.

“Where am I…?”, she mutters to herself, as she looks around at her surroundings, “Where's Vincent?!”, she realizes, franticly looking for her comrade.

She spots him a few feet away face up on the sand; in the moonlight she could see that his head-wound was still bleeding and that there was an unusual dark-patch on the side of his chest among his wet black-shirt.

“Vincent!”, she shouts, bolting to her feet and runs to his side, “Vincent…?”, she asks his prone form, gasping after she saw the full-extent of his head-injury.

Blood-coated pastel-pink brain-matter pushing itself out through his forehead from inside his cranium, “That isn't good…”, she mutters to herself, holding her hands over the wound, `I shouldn't do this, but this is serious!', she thinks, as her hands are enveloped in her healing golden-yellow aura, the swelling in his brain slowly diminishes and stops threatening to kill him by compressing his brain-stem, the shattered-skull fragments fusing back into place and closing the hole.

Yoko's healing-power immediately ceases after his skull was repaired; but leaving the injured flesh unhealed, as she falls forward digging her hands into the sand to stop herself from collapsing on top of Vincent, sweat dripping down her face and off her chin, `Now I'm pushing my limits…', she thinks, as she slowly & shakily sits herself upright, “But that should hold long enough until I find some shelter from the storm…”, she tells herself, looking out towards the ocean at the lightening brightening the dark-clouds as they were drifting to the beach she kneeled on.

She looks around and spots an alcove among a cluster of rock a few-yards down the beach from where they were, “That should do…”, she pants, staggering to her feet and grabs Vincent underneath his arms, starting to drag him towards the cave.

Yoko continues to slowly drag the unconscious ex-Turk towards the rocky-shelter, stopping several times to catch her breath, before finally pulling him into the farthest-part of the cave and lays him down next to the natural fresh-water spring, where she kneels over the spring and cups the water into her hands and brings it to her lips, drinking the cool refreshing liquid.

“That's slightly better…”, she sighs, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand, `It's going to be getting dark again…', she thinks, looking outside of the cave at the moon as it was slowly being covered by storm-clouds, `I should build a fire soon…', she mentally notes, “Vincent should be alright until I get back…”, she mutters, staggering to her feet and stumbles out of the cave in search of dry wood.

But as she walks out of the cave to look, Vincent lets out a painful gasp and his chest violently spasms causing him to claw at the ground as a blackish-purple aura surrounds his body.

-Half an Hour Later-

Yoko returns to the safety of the cave with her arms full of drift-wood and branches just as the rain started to fall, “Looks like I made it in time… And this should be enough to last the night too…”, she whispers, smiling to herself as she walks deeper into the cavern to start the fire.

A raspy pained gasp for air startles her so badly that she drops the stack of wood causing them to rattle hollowly on the cave-floor; she forces her eyes to focus in the dim-lighting and her eyes widen as she gasps in shock when she found that the source of the sound was coming from Vincent, and the dark-cavern was slowly becoming lit by the powerful aura surrounding him, allowing her to see him clearly.

His chest was violently convulsing as he tries to breathe, every blood-vessel in his body was bulging out and looked like they were ready to rupture, his hands were digging into the hard-ground in pain with talon-tipped fingers, and his mouth was wide open in a silent-scream revealing rapidly-growing fangs. Even his ears were becoming pointed.

“What the…?”, she mutters, as a savage-growl that tore it's way from his throat made her jump, `What is going on…?'

I don't know exactly what Hojo had done to my body, but I had awoken on a operation-table months later, and in my dazed-stupor my body had transformed into that of a monstrous-creature…, Vincent's voice echoes in her mind.

“The experiments…”, she whispers, slowly inching her way towards Vincent, despite the fear that gripped her and made her hand shake.

Suddenly Vincent's eyes snap open causing her to jump and stop in her advance towards him, his eyes were golden-yellow and glowing. She saw thick glossy black fur begin to grow out of his skin, his black-hair slowly started to thicken and turn silver starting from the roots to tips.

Yoko bites her lip and closes her eyes, attempting to gather her courage before she continues walking over to Vincent's side, kneels and puts her quivering hands onto the shoulders of his transforming body.

“It's alright… You're not in any danger…”, she whispers to him, unable to hide the fear in her voice.

But her calming words had no effect the raging-beast Vincent was turning into, in fact his transformation was speeding up as one of his talon-tipped hands slashes at her, gouging her on the upper-arm.

`I have no choice…', she mentally decides, thrusting her hands against his chest as a silver aura surrounds them and her eyes turn from reddish-brown to silver, she forces the energy into his body.

Little by little the changes Vincent's body had gone under during the transformation recedes, until only Vincent remained. With her effort having done it's job, Yoko leans back onto her heels and closes her eyes with a sigh.

“That should hold…”, she sighs, opening her reddish-brown eyes as she begins to unbuckle his cloak and then his leather-shirt uncovering a still bleeding wound on the side of his chest with a broken-rib punctured through the skin, “Ohh…”, she winces, before delicately pushing the bone back inside the skin and lines up the two-edges again, “Now I really need bandages to dress this injury…”, she silently curses, “Wait a minute!”, she exclaims, removing her white-shirt from over her black sports tank-top and begins tearing the white-cloth into strips.

She soaks one of the strips in the spring-water and uses it to clean the blood from the bleeding wounds on his side and forehead, then she takes the dry-strips to bind the injuries.

“The bones should heal properly now…”, she mutters, turning away from him to gather the wood from where she had drop them, stacking some of it a few-feet away and pulls out a green-orb, holding it close to the wood and it lights up as it actives casting a Fire-spell and ignites the timber.

She returns to Vincent's side and leans her back against the wall, before leaning forward a little bit to bring Vincent's head onto her lap and gently brushes a stray-hair from his sweaty-face.

“Lucrecia was lucky to have known you, Vincent…”, she whispers to the unconscious man, `It's just a tragedy that both of your dreams were stolen away from you…', she thinks, as her eyes droop closed from both mental & physical exhaustion, causing her to drift off into dreamland.
