DemonGirl-Setsuna: Hi there! Setsuna here!

Well, the last Chapter was pretty fun! I'm still surprised that I've made it this far without a major brain-fart! Vincent learned that Yoko has keepsakes from her adopted-mother; Saiyuki, and both of her birth parents!
But the real question is: “What are the contents of those books?”

Of course I know the answer!

Side-Note: I'm so obsessive while playing the original `Final Fantasy VII' that I've realized that Vincent's gun called `Outsider' is a three-barrel gun like his `Cerberus'!
I only noticed because of the large-screen TV in my living-room that I HAVE to play on; cause I don't have my own room anymore and stuck sleeping on the couch, fighting in the arena using Vincent with his `Outsider' until I got enough BP's (Battle Points) to gain/purchase Cloud's final limit-break; Omnislash!

Anyway…

Here is Chapter 16!

Please Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I don't own Final Fantasy VII. But I've been playing my copy of the game and I'm on the third disc now!

One Hour Later…

`I wonder how she's doing?', Vincent thinks, as he stands outside the door to Yoko's door, hesitantly with his hand raised to knock.

“Who is it?!”, came Yoko's voice from the other side of the door.

“It's Vincent…”, he replies.

“It's open!', she says after a few moments of silence.

Vincent slowly opens the door and steps in, closing the door behind himself and sees Yoko sitting on her bed with a notebook laid out in front of her with a pencil in her hand writing something. She had changed her clothes into a pair of black-jeans and a heavy white t-shirt, her hair was tied back in a low-ponytail, I have been dreaming for so long,
to find a meaning to understand.
The secret of life,
why am I here to try again?..., she quietly sang to herself trying to find the correct tempo, “What do you want, Vincent?”, she asks, not looking up from her writings.

“I came to see how you're doing, you seemed angry in the dining-hall”

“I do apologize for that, I tend to fly off the handle easily…”, she sheepishly admits.

“I've had my fair share of those…”, he says, “I see you ordered room-service”

“Yeah, after my display in the hall, I couldn't eat with everyone else”, she states, “Speaking of dinner, did you get to eat?”

“No, I couldn't with the food flung all over the place”

“They actually had a full-fledge food-fight?!”

“Yeah, like immature children”, he groans, “The only ones who didn't join in on the food-flinging was Nicole, Pixie, and myself”

“I see… So are you hungry? I can order some room-service for you”

“No, that is fine”, he declines, “So, what are you writing?”

“I have to write new songs for my up-coming album or my manager is going to get on my case…”, she explains, Will I always, will you always
see the truth when it stares you in the face?
Will I ever, will I never free myself
by breaking these chains?..., she sings.
“That seems like a good start for a song”, he comments.

“You think so?”, she joyfully asks, standing up.

“It is interesting…”

“You know, before I met you I had a bad case of writer's block, but now the words flow effortlessly onto the paper”

“Are you serious…?”, he gasps, arching an eye-brow at her.

“Please forgive me for saying this, but after I met you my life hasn't been the same…”, she says, looking up into his blood-red eyes, “Vincent…?”

“What is it, Yoko?”, he nervously questions.

“After I met you, my life feels a little more complete…”

“W-what…?”, he stammers.

“Vincent, I…”, she began to say, but was interrupted when the ship suddenly heaved to the side knocking her off-balance, “Whoa…!”, she screams as she falls towards Vincent.

He steps to the side with his arm stretched out, catching the falling woman around her mid-section, “Are you alright?”

“I'm fine, but what is going on with the ship?”

(This is a message from the captain. The stormy weather is only temporary so please do not be disturbed by the swaying…), the intercom announces.

“Sure, now they tell us…”, she groans.

(But be advised to head to the ball-room for an evacuation-drill)

“That's typical… They always become nervous when the ship rocks a little…”, she adds, walking towards the door to go into the hall.

“I take it you've been on a ship before?”

“Of course, haven't you?”

“A long time ago…”

“You mean back when…” she trails off.

“Hey, did you guys hear the announcement?!”, Nicole asks, as she bounds down the hall carrying Shinta in her arms and with Pixie flying behind her.

“Yeah, we did. Where was you?”, the singer inquires.

“I was getting ready to take a shower when the announcement came, luckily Pixie came to get me”, the younger girl says.

“And we better get to the ballroom before Jessie comes looking for us”, the robotic-fairy states.

“I swear, that girl has more attitude in her than anyone else I know”, Yoko sighs.

“I know someone like that…”, Vincent replies.

“Would that be her father you're thinking of, Vincent?”, Nicole questions.

“That's correct, Cloud was the one”

“You know, I still haven't heard about your adventures to stop Sephiroth”, Yoko whispers.

“Another time, Yoko…”

“Do you think it is safe to go this way…?”, the blonde says, as she stares at the open hallway; a railing being the only thing between being on the ship and the ocean.

“We have to go this way, it's the only hall to the ballroom”, Yoko answers, walking past the un-nerved girl, “So it has to be safe”

The ship suddenly heaves causing the small group to brace themselves against something for balance, everyone except Yoko who was walking in the open-hall and when the ship rocked, she was sent towards the rail, but instead of it stopping her fall she ends up tumbling over it into the sea.

“YOKO!”, Nicole screams.

“Nicole, I want you to go tell the Captain what just happened”, Vincent states.

“What are you going to do?”, she asks.

“I'm going after her”, he replies.

“Vincent!”, she shouts, watching as he leaps over the railing into the water.

He surfaces and quickly searches the foam-capped waves for the water-logged singer, but the dark-colored constantly moving water made the effort difficult to accomplish. Suddenly some coughing from behind him catches his attention, upon turning in the water he spots the solid-white form topped by mid-night black hair bobbing up and under among the waves.

“Yoko!”, he yells.

“V…Vin…cent…?”, she questions, as she goes under the water and spits it out during the brief moments she surfaces.

“I'm coming to you…!”, he informs, swimming towards her, but before her could reach her, she was quickly sucked under the water by the power of the Leviathan's propellers, “Yoko!”

He dives under the surface to try and locate her, spotting her struggling to return to the surface below him, their eyes meeting for a moment before her reddish-brown eyes widen in fright and she franticly points behind him. He turns to see that he was being dragged towards the rapidly spinning propellers, the last thing he sees before he saw a flash of multi-colors and then blood-red as he felt the metal slices into his flesh.

`VINCENT!!!', Yoko screams in her mind, watching in horror as his blood started to dilute the sea.
