Prologue: The Zanarkand Ruins

((We vampires weren't always in hiding like this... it's all the lycan's fault. We used to rule the human world, Gaia, the lycan world, Spira, and our world, but now the lycan's rule everything. They even took the leaders of the only remaining vampire clans hostage, Lord Godo, my father, and Lord Cid, my step-uncle. Everything is in chaos! So my step-cousin and I joined forces to kick some lycan ass… and rescue our fathers. Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk!))

Two maidens sat patiently on top of some frail pillars, waiting for what they sought, quietly in the darkness. The full moon, which was covered in misty dark clouds, was the only light reflected on them both. The girl farthest away from the dim moonlight appeared to have blonde hair tied up into a high ponytail with two low braids beneath it. She had identical emerald swirls and both seeming expressionless at the moment.

The girl had a sun kissed face, yet she was no child of the sun, and her nose and lips were perfectly aligned with one another. The blonde downcast her emerald orbs towards her companion, a girl with short chocolate hair, and sighed. The other girl had eyes that shone bright violet in the midnight moon, yet her eye color was naturally gray and navy. Out of the two girls, the brown haired girl looked the youngest. She also wore a white bandana, symbolizing her pack with her clan and also symbolizing she was high rank in her league.

The blonde haired teen wore an orange halter top, barely covering her belly, and green shorts. On her right thy, she wore a black pouch, she also had goggles around her slender neck. Turning slightly, the blonde haired girl nodded towards the other girl than leaped over to the other end of the ruins they resided in. The brown haired girl only sat and waited for whom she hunted for.

The short haired girl wore a sleeveless turtle neck, showing most of her belly, and unbuttoned khaki shorts. She wore the same color arm guard, and a breast plate for protection. The brown haired girl swayed her legs from side to side and front to back, surely this girl was getting bored, and fast.

=Crash=

The crashing sound came from where the blonde girl had left. Quickly and quietly the brown haired girl went to investigate, hoping her friend did not do anything she would regret. Jumping from pillar to pillar, the girl heard a distinct clicking sound. It came from the opposite direction of where she was heading.

The blonde hair searched around, looking for what had caused the crashing sound. Sighing in tiredness, the blonde went to turn around, when she felt a cold object point to the back of her head, and a loud, frightful clicking sound.
Heading back towards the blonde haired girl, the brown haired girl caught a glimpse of a shiny object, followed by a slashing sound. Leaping out of the objects way, the brown haired girl knew that what she was looking for was already there.

“Rikku, look out!” The brown haired ninja yelled, but it was to no avail.
