Final Fantasy - All Series Fan Fiction ❯ I Walk Alone ❯ Determination ( Chapter 2 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
I sadly do not own Final Fantasy, Square Enix and Hironobu Sakaguchi do. Neither am I making any profit from this, except maybe a bigger ego if I get nice reviews.
Lol.
Story is completely in Danika's Point of View

With a pained face I touched my arm, which collided pretty hard with the one of the guy in front of me.
"Indentify yourself." He said.
I smirked, he wanted to sound cool or something. "I'm Danika Landers." I took the studentpass from my pocket. "I just got here."
The guy nodded. "And you decided you just wanted to go check the training center?"
"Yep."
The guy sighed. "If you would've gotten in trouble, I wouldn't have been here in time."
I shrug. "There's not much I can not handle." I said and turned around. "I was gonna go to my dorm."
I left the guy, no idea who the hell he is, behind a bit confused. He probably has some kind of status here, since he's allowed to ask for my identification, but I don't care. I don't like authorities.
When I reach my dorm I realise I'm a bit tired. I may know how to fight, but that doesn't mean I can go on forever.
It really is one of the things I should be working on.
I flop down on the boring bed, and stare at the boring room. I need something to brighten it up with, because this will only make me depressed.
I plug in my radio, and put up my themesong. While hanging up my mirror the song reaches a part I never really did pay attention to.
"You don't have to see,
what I turned out to be...
No one can help you...
I walk alone,
every step I take I walk alone"
I stare at my reflection and decide this is the time to turn things around.
I'm not taking any crap from anyone anymore. If they mess with me, I will mess with them.
No way I'll be pushed around anymore.
They better be ready for the new and improved Danika.
But first I need to find myself something to eat, before I die of starvation.
When I reach the cafeteria I see there's harly a line. There's only a blonde short dude waiting for the woman behind to counter to get him something.
When he gets his food and turns around, I'm left speechless.
On his face there is a huge tattoo, and I can not imagine how much it must've hurt.
"Ha! I just got the last hotdog!" He says when he sees me.
I shrug. "So?"
He stares at me, puzzled.
"They're the best hotdogs ever!"
"Next!" I hear the cafeteriawoman say, and I turn around. "I don't like hotdogs."
I hear the guy behind me gasp, and smirk. I don't think it's very healthy to obsess over food.
I order something and sit down at a table, as fas away from the other people as possible. So yeah, I want to change, but not just yet. I just got here.
A few minutes after sitting down the guy I met at the training center sits down next to me.
"Where did you learn to use magic like that?" He asks.
I chew down my food and stare at my hands for a moment. I don't like guys close to me.
"I went to Trabia Garden for a year." I reply.
"Oh." He says. "And it only took you a year to learn those spells?"
I nodd.
"Strange."
As fast as he popped up, he leaves again, leaving me behind confused.
I wonder if there's something wrong with me?
Lol.
