DemonGirl-Setsuna: Hi there! Setsuna here!
`ED'! Quit beating me in the head!
Ninka (chibi): (Whispers) Is it possible for a muse to beat an idea into a writer's head, and not even be there?
Youka (chibi): (Whispers) I think it is possible, if the muse is using a phone…
Setsuna: (Shouting at her cord-less phone) When I find and catch you `Ed', you are so going to get it!
*The phone on the other end goes dead*
*Eyebrow twitching* `Ed' hung up on me…!
I'M GOING TO BEAT THAT MUSE, WHEN I CATCH IT!
Vincent (chibi): She's scary when she's angry…
Ninka and Youka: Hey Vincent, you want to do the intro?
Vincent: Sure!
Here is Chapter 17!

Ch. 17
An Angel Reborn a Demon
-------------------------------------------
Two Months Later…
“No. It's still not enough. I have to hurry or the tissue will continue to decay”, Lucrecia says, collapsing to her knees in exhaustion, from having just given birth to her son; Sephiroth, two days ago.
The boy had been born with a head full of silver hair; that left Lucrecia puzzled, and when he looked up at her with his big innocent green eyes, her heart melted.
But that had nothing to do with her current task at hand.
Tears begin to fall from her eyes as she starts to remember all the happy moments her and Vincent had shared together; not one particular moment having higher priority than the other, and all had the same emotion; love.
“Not again… Not today…”, she whispers, wiping the tears from her eyes as she stood up and she looks at Vincent inside the regenerative tube, “Vincent, did you know that your eyes are exactly like your father's?”
`I didn't want to remember. I pushed you away, but... Now I realize... I never wanted to lose you…', was Lucrecia's thoughts at the moment.
She decides to expose Vincent to a large dose of `G Substance' directly, instead of the small doses she had been giving him via syringe.
Lucrecia types on the console-keyboard, programming it to introduce `G Substance' directly into Vincent's tube.
The `G Substance' uslessly floats inside the tube for a moment or two, before it absorbs into Vincent's body; like a sponge.
Immediately Vincent's vital-signs perked up; his heart-rate increased and grew stronger, the gun-shot wound stopped oozing completely and healed, and his breathing of the liquid-oxygen became deeper.
“I've done it…”, Lucrecia whispers, joy building up inside her body, “Born of the Life-stream… Bringing all together… Stopping the imminent decay of tissue…”, she continued to whisper, glad her hunch on the `G Substance' was right.
Vincent slowly blinks open his eyes for the first time in two months, he looks around the inside of the tube; confused as to how he got in there, before his eyes focus onto Lucrecia outside the tube stepping closer to look in at him.
Suddenly, Vincent doubles over clutching his head, as his heart-rate sky-rocketed through the roof, his eyes start to glow blood-red, and the blood-red aura surrounds his body and grows brighter; almost blinding.
“Vincent!”, Lucrecia screams out.
When the light dissipated, Vincent was no where to be seen, what was there in his place was; a creature with a humanoid-form, pasty-white skin, elongated canines, a golden-clawed glove was on it's left-hand, frayed black and red bat-like wings extended from it's back, black and red spiky hair on it's head, and glowing yellow-eyes displayed blood-thrist on a level of feralness.
“But instead... Born was... the chaos that took him... away from me…”, her journal would later read on the incident.
Chaos begins to slam up against the inside of the tube, trying to break out.
“Stop...”, Lucrecia cries, backing away in fear, “Stop!”
A bright white-light shines from the ground, and when the light fades, she looks at Chaos; who has calmed inside the tube, then she looks at the ground; a ball of silvery-white materia is lying there glowing, looking like it contained a tiny-universe inside it.
“Proto-Materia…”, she whispers, remembering when Vincent's father; Grimoire, and herself found it at the mako-fountain in the cave just south-east from Nibelheim.
She drains the liquid-oxygen from the regenerative tube, Vincent's body returning back to normal as she gently pushes the Proto-Materia into the middle of his chest; just to the right-side of his heart.
But when his body regained it's true form, she noticed that his blood-red eyes didn't return to their normal reddish-brown as they fluttered close; they would forever remain blood-red, the side-effect of having Chaos residing inside his body.
“Vincent…”, she whispers, gently caressing his cheek, “I'm so sorry…”, she apologizes, as she refills the tube with liquid-oxygen again.

One Week Later…
Lucrecia looks in on him still unconscious, “Vincent. Just a little longer. Then I can let you out”, she says, she turns around, but soon after she does, she collapses to her knees, “What's wrong with me lately? Maybe I've been working too hard…”, she mutters, holding her head to fight the bout of dizziness away.
“Hah!”, she hears from the doorway.
When she looks, she sees Hojo standing there.
“I thought I heard a rat down here”, he sneers, “And just what do you think you're doing with my failed experiment?”
“Get out of my lab!”, Lucrecia shouts, becoming defensive about Vincent as she gets to her feet.
“Silence! I'm the one giving orders here!”, he demands, stepping closer towards Lucrecia, causing her to back away a few steps.
“Hmm…?”, he hums, noticing the computer-monitor behind her, “Ha ha ha… Omega? And Chaos?”, he laughs, looking over at Vincent inside the regenerative tube and laughs again, “I see… Another experiment? You're using this fine specimen to finish your thesis, aren't you, Doctor?”
“No. You're wrong!”, she screams.
“Am I? Once a scientist, always a scientist, I must say”, he mocks, “How happy this fellow must be. Helping his beloved even after he's begun rotting away”.
(A/N: Well duh! Hojo doesn't know she stopped the decaying and revived Vincent!)
Hojo begins to laugh maniacally again as he walks away, and Lucrecia buries her face in her hands and begins to cry.
“No. This is no experiment. It's...”, she sobs.
-------------------------
Two Weeks Later…
Vincent tiredly blinks his; now, blood-red eyes open at the sound of shouting, he sees Lucrecia grabbing Hojo by his shoulders.
“Give him back! Give my son back!”, she screams, shaking the crazed-scientist.
“And how is your experiment proceeding?”, he coldly asks.
She releases her hold on Hojo and backs away.
“I don't know… I don't know! I don't care!”, she cries out, putting as much distance between herself and Hojo as she could.
`Lucrecia…', Vincent thought, feeling remorse for her just before he slips back into unconsciousness.
----------------------------
One Week Later…
Lucrecia is sitting on the ground with her back against a console outside of Vincent's tube.
“I'm sorry… I can't take it anymore…”, she sobs, her voice giving away her emotional break-down, “My body... My mind...”
After sitting there for an hour, Lucrecia gets to her feet, leaving Vincent is all alone in his tube, as a door behind his tube opens and Lucrecia walks out, letting the door close behind her; shutting herself off from Vincent and her feelings.
