Welcome back, readers!

You're probably wondering what is with the music-playing doll, right?
Well, `Ed' has a weakness for the `Numa Numa' song, and idolizes Sephiroth. *Mutter under breath* Though I don't know why… *Speaks normal* So I'm baiting the trap with the two things `Ed' likes!

Though I have a feeling I'm going to be in for a long wait…

So here is part two of `Requiem of Memories and Nightmares'!

One Week Later…
Midgar…
On Top of the Mako-Cannon; Sister-Ray

“Hojo! Stop right there!!”, Cloud shouts, standing ten feet away from the scientist with a god-complex as he madly types away on the computer console.

“Oh…the failure”, Hojo mockingly says, not turning to face him and continues typing away madly.

“At least remember my name! It's Cloud!”, Cloud angrily snaps.

He stops typing, but still doesn't turn around, “Every time I see you, I... It pains me that I had so little scientific sense...”, he resumes typing, “I evaluated you as a failed project. But, you are the only one that succeeded as a Sephiroth-clone. Heh, heh, heh...”, Hojo chuckles, “I'm even beginning to hate myself”.

“None of that matters... just stop this nonsense!”, the blonde-haired man orders.

“...nonsense? Oh, this?”, the crazed man laughs, finally turning around to face those who had come to stop him, “Ha, ha, ha... Sephiroth seems to be counting on the energy. So I'm going to lend him a hand”.

“Why!? Why do that!?”

“Quit asking me why, you moron!”, Hojo snaps, glaring hard at Cloud, “Hmm... actually, you might be cut out to be a scientist…”, he mutters, turning away from the group to check the monitor, “Energy level is at...... 83%. It's taking too long”, types fanatically on the console, “My son is in need of power and help... That's the only reason…”

“...your son?”, Cloud gasps.

“Ha, ha, ha... Although he doesn't know”, Hojo manically laughs, laughing so hard that he stops typing, “Ha, ha, ha... HA, HA, HA...!! What will Sephiroth think when he finds out I'm his father? Always looking down on me like that. HA, HA, HA...!!”

“Sephiroth is your son?”, Cloud asks in disbelief.

Hojo goes back to pressing buttons and flipping switches, “Ha, ha, ha... I offered the woman with my child to Professor Gast's Jenova Project. When Sephiroth was still in the womb, we took the cells of Jenova... HA, HA, HA!!”

“You...!”, Vincent growls, feeling his long time resentment for the man in front of him rising up again.

“I can't believe you're the one who did this... The illusionary crime against Sephiroth...”, Cloud angrily shouts.

Hojo stops and calmly turns to face Cloud, staring at him, “Heee, hee, hee, hee! No, you're wrong! It's my desire as a scientist!”, Hojo laughs, taking out a syringe and plunges it into his arm, injecting the contents into his body, “Heee, hee, hee, hee! I... was defeated by my desire to become a scientist. I lost the last time as well. I've injected Jenova's cells into my own body!”, he continued to laugh, gleefully dancing like an idiot, “Heee, hee, hee! Here are...... Heee, hee, hee! ...my results!!”, he shouts, as his skin took on a greenish-tone.

“I was...wrong. The one who should have slept was...You, Hojo!”, Vincent yells, aiming his Death Penalty at the crazed scientist who had ruined so many people's lives, as the man in front of him began to mutate into a misshapen horrendous creature with purple and magenta colored skin.

Hojo swings one of his three-pronged tentacles towards Vincent, causing the former Turk to tumble out of the way but only to be struck by Hojo's second tentacle-arm, sending him flying backwards and crashes hard against a steal I-beam. A searing pain spreads through out his body as he heard several bones cracking and breaking, blood flooding his mouth as he fell towards the platform, landing with a sickening thud. He tries to push himself up, but it hurt too much just to breath let alone sit up, with every intake of breath he took, he could feel and hear the broken ribs rubbing against one-another as he violently coughs up blood onto the metal-platform. He tries to move his right-arm to pick his Death Penalty up from where it had fallen, but a shockwave of pure-pain shoots up his arm, and he could see the blood-drenched white-bone slightly poking out from his forearm.

(A/N: Oh… Ouch! That has got to hurt like a bitch!)

“Vincent, are you alright?”, a male voice asks, causing him to lift his head up enough to see the middle-aged man with buzz-cut blonde hair, blue eyes with goggles on his head and a cigarette in his mouth, holding a spear in his hands in a defensive-matter.

“Cid… I think…so…”, Vincent replies, his words slightly slurred as his vision began to blur.

“Cid, how's Vincent?”, the young woman with butt-length black hair tied at the end with a hair-tie, brown eyes, and a large bust-line questions, evading an attack from one of the tentacles and punches away another attack with her gloved-fists.

“I don't know, Tifa! He seems to be in pretty bad-shape!”, Cid answers.

“Yuffie!”, Tifa shouts.

“What?”, the teenage girl with chin-length black hair and brown eyes wearing what appeared to be a giant oven-mitt on her left arm yells, dodging a tentacle as she ran to get into position to catch her giant-shuriken.

“Vincent's hurt bad! Heal him!”, Tifa orders.

“Fine, fine…”, Yuffie groans, catching her weapon in mid-air and bolts to Vincent's side, pulling out a orb of green materia from her pocket and holds it over his injured and broken body.

“How is he?”, the humanoid-shaped black and white cat wearing a red-cape and gold-crown on it's head asks, as he rode up on his giant stuffed-moogle.

“Cait Sith…? His injuries are pretty severe…”, Yuffie mutters, focusing on the materia in her hand to make it work.

“I'll take over lass, you just fight to destroy that bastard”, Cait Sith says in his Scottish-accent, as he took the materia from the teen and continued holding it over Vincent.

“You're not such a bad person… are you Reeve?”, Yuffie adds, speaking to the controller of the robotic-cat.

“Yuffie…”, came the momentary non-Scottish deep voice of a man from the cat's mouth, “Thanks…”

Vincent could only stare at the blood-pooling underneath him on the platform-floor as his vision continued to blur from blood-loss, he could feel something inside of himself struggling to get out and tear something apart. He could only open his mouth in a silent scream of pain as he felt the entity start to slowly take over his psyche, he clutches his broken-ribs with his right hand as he clawed at the metal-floor with his metal-covered left-hand, hearing the almost unbreakable substance groan and grind as metal slices through metal.

(A/N: My ears just hurt thinking about the sound it would make… *Blood trickles out of one ear*)

“Vincent, what wrong?”, Cait Sith questions, leaning in close to listen to him.

“Get…away…from…m…me…”, Vincent forces out, looking at the robot-cat as his eyes slowly turned from blood-red to glowing yellow and a blood-red aura surrounds his body.

“Good gracious me…”, the cat gasps, as he backed away, watching as two giant frayed black and red bat-like wings tore out from Vincent's back in a spray of blood, the wings wrapping themselves around Vincent's body and when they opened up, what stood where Vincent should have been was a creature with a humanoid-form, pasty-white skin, elongated canines, a golden-clawed glove was on it's left-hand, frayed black and red bat-like wings extended from it's back, black and red spiky hair on it's head, and glowing yellow-eyes displayed blood-thrist on a level of feralness. It was the xenoform of the planet; Chaos.

It's eyes focusing onto the monstrous-creature Hojo had further mutated into. The form was slightly human-like, it had grey-skin with golden-yellow stripes with beady-little black-eyes, lips pulled taut revealing razor-sharp fangs, slim-tentacles for arms, a thick-tentacle instead of legs, and a tentacle-like thing protruding from it's head.

(A/N: I swear this thing reminded me of one of the creatures from the `Resident Evil' movies!)

Chaos suddenly charges forward swiping his left-arm at Hojo, the golden-claws raking across the flesh and tearing it away from Hojo's body in a spray of blood, leaving one of the tentacle arms barely hanging on by a mere few inches of flesh. Chaos held a look on his face that told he was extremely satisfide; a fang-filled grin of glee was spread across Chaos's features, as he looked at the blood-dripping flesh hanging from his claws, and then at his victim, the grin growing larger when he saw that his opponent was still alive and standing.

The tentacle that had been nearly torn off began to repair itself from the nature of the Jenova-cells, but before the arm completely repaired itself, Chaos was already charging in for another attack, this time succeeding in separating the arm from the body. The tentacle flew through the air, only to land onto Yuffie, who began to scream in disgust as some of the blood spattered all over her.

“Get off! Get off! Get off!”, she screams, taking hold of the slimey appendage and throws it as far away from herself as she could, “Eww, gross…”, she groans, trying to shake the slime and blood off her hands.

(A/N: I don't hate Yuffie or anything, even though she is annoying. I just figured in my head that she was the one most likely to be freaked out the most by slimey-tentacles and monster-Hojo blood!)

Life-form Hojo hisses at his opponent as the detached tentacle slithers like a serpent across the metal-platform then rears-up and shoots back towards it's body, reattaching to the torn stump. Chaos quickly flies at Hojo prepared to shred the flesh again, but the mutated scientist wasn't going to allow him to succeed a third-time, anticipating the strike and extends a tentacle, wrapping it around Chaos's ankle; forcefully yanking him from the air, he then wraps his other tentacle tightly around Chaos's throat and brings his hideous-face close to the ashen-white face of his nemesis. Loudly snarling before sinking his jagged razor-sharp fangs into the flesh of Chaos's wings, ripping the flesh and bone from his back with jerking-movements as he pulls his head back, his mouth filling with blood as Chaos roars in pain, digging his golden-claws into the appendage that was straggling him causing the flesh to tighten as Hojo continued to tear the wing off at a vigorous rate.

The sound of a gargled roar of pain and a struggle for breath begins to emit from between Chaos's fangs as his golden-yellow eyes slowly start to roll up towards the top of his head, Hojo hisses in pleasure as he watches Chaos trying to remain conscious. Suddenly Hojo wretches his head back to scream out in angst, a chunk of flesh torn from the wing still clenched in his fangs as a sharp-slash slices his back, he turns his grizzly-head towards his attacker seeing the teenage-ninja named Yuffie skidding to a stop among the group her giant-shuriken held in her hand, blood dripping from one of the points.

“Leave Vincent alone!”, she angrily shouts, “Sure, I may not like him, but I won't allow you to harm him!”, she adds, throwing her weapon at the monstrous-doctor.

Hojo tosses Chaos away like a broken-doll, his back striking a steel I-beam and begun to collapse to the floor, but managed to gain his balance even if just barely, a wing hung lifelessly-limp on his back blood gushing out from the gaping hole, growling in displeasure as he rubs his bruised-neck. He looks around seeking his prey, spotting him a few yards away battling against his host's friends, Chaos takes a step towards the fray, but instantly freezes in his tracks as a tremor travels through his body, causing him to fall to his knees clawed-hands gripping at the ground as his spiky hair started to soften; the red locks morphed into a red headband of cloth, the mid-night black tresses tumbling around his ashen-face as the skin darkened to a lightly sun-kissed pale-peach, the black skin covering his torso, arms and legs transformed into black-clothing and a red cloak around his shoulders, the claws on his right-hand retract and change into a normal human-hand confined inside a black leather-glove, his elongated-canines shorten to human ones, both of his wings slowly lost their substance and turned into blood splashing all over the back of the red cloak leaving a huge dark-crimson stain in the center of it and on the ground around him, and the last thing the turn during the transformation back into Vincent was Chaos's feral golden-yellow eyes to the just as startling blood-red color.

Vincent violently coughs as he takes his first breaths since he had transformed into his alternate monster-form; Chaos, spitting out blood from his battered-lungs just before he expels the contents of his stomach from the nauseas that always followed after transforming into one of the four supernatural-beasts Hojo had trapped within his flesh.

“Vincent! Look out!”, he heard someone exclaim, causing him to look up and spot Lifeform-Hojo slithering towards him like a cobra charging in for the kill.

Vincent's hand instinctively goes to his holster to pull out his spare-gun; one called `Outsider', drawing it and quickly takes aim pulling the trigger, the bullet hits it's target just as Hojo reaches the barrel of the gun, his skull explodes from the massive-damage of the point-blank shot. The former-Turk leans back on his heels landing flatly on his butt in shock as his face was splattered with blood and brain-matter from Hojo's head, gasping for breath against the pain in his lower-left chest where one of Hojo's tentacles had embedded itself into his flesh since the split-second right before the fatal gun-shot.

“Hojo...Rest in peace...”, he quietly prays, as blood began to stream from the corner of his mouth and his vision started to blur even as he intently stared at his hated-foe.

“…Vincent…! …incent…! …cent…!”, he could hear someone shouting for him, but their voices were sounding further and further away as darkness slowly consumed his sight.

Kalm...

Vincent weakly and slowly blinks open his tired red-eyes, confusion muddling his brain when he sees that he was inside a Inn-room and was being kept warm under a heavy-blanket, “Wha...?”, he mutters.

“Looks like you finally woke-up”, a male's voice states to his right.

“Huh...?”, Vincent gasps, looking at the one who spoke, “Cloud...”, he weakly says.

“You've been out a little over a week, Vincent”, Tifa explains.

“A week...? Why...?”

“It seems Hojo's tentacle was coated in poisonous slime and when he impaled you, your body absorbed a huge quantity of it”, Cloud replies.

“It took us at least three Phoenix-Downs to keep you breathing, and those aren't cheap you know!”, Yuffie exclaims.

“Sorry...”

“Don't you go fucking apologizing, Vincent. You're pretty damn lucky you had put that Counter-Attack materia in your gun, or Hojo would have fucked you up even more!”, Cid scorns.

“That's right, Vincent. If you hadn't had it Hojo probably have mutilated us, so it was because of you that we're all standing here”, Cait Sith says.

“Thank you... Everyone...”, Vincent quietly thanks.
