Seifer made his way to the infirmary without any encounters and was relieved for once. He walked in and acknowledged that the doc was helping someone in the other room, so he guided himself knowingly to where the brunette laid unconscious.

He walked in and noticed the object of his thoughts moving in his bed and the blanket was shifting lower on the brunette's narrow hips. Seifer walked over to stand at Squall's side and brought the white, thin blanket up to mid-chest level. He stared down at him, looking him over for anything unusual but found nothing but his obvious injury, which was getting healed very quickly by Kadowaki. Seifer looked to the door and then back down at Squall.

'What am I doing here?' Seifer slumped down in the chair nearest the bed. He was feeling so frustrated. No one wanted him here. 'Why would Squall want me here? He'd be the first person to probably kick me out of here...' Maybe it was a good idea that he left.

"Seifer..." He looked up quickly, hearing the familiar voice but no eyes focusing on him.

'He's still asleep?'

The blonde stood up and hovered over the brunette, placing a hand on his shoulder and lightly shaking.

"Squall. Squall!" The man groaned and grey eyes fluttered open.

"Seifer... y-your safe." Golden brows furrowed at the first response of his rival. Squall placed a hand on his forehead and brought his left arm back to push himself up, but before he could do so by himself, he felt strong hands help him into that position and he looked into the green eyes again. "Seifer..."

"God, I'm so glad your awake." Seifer sat halfway on the edge of the bed.

"What do you mean? How long was I out?" Seifer's head lowered and his hand came up slowly to trace the scar on his forehead with his forefinger.

"Some time, about an hour I guess."

"What happened? What's going on?" Squall noticed that Seifer stopped and looked over to him, clenching his fist on his upper left thigh.

"Squall, you remembered what happed back on the last mission when we were inside that girl's house, right?" Grey eyes started to slowly turn to blue as Seifer looked at him with such hope and worry.

"Yes, I do...up until I blacked out..." Seifer sighed.

"You hit the table and knocked the vase over, which hit you on your head." Squall nodded, now understanding what that sharp pain was. "They're blamin' me for what happened to you. Dagen wants to kick me out and is nearly successful if you don't tell what had happened soon."

Hearing those words should have sounded like a threat, like if he didn't tell the truth, then Seifer would kick his ass but, it was not like that. Seifer sounded like he really meant it.

The dream was a little fuzzy in Squall's head but he remembered what it was that was said and the actions done to make him redden slightly.

Seifer turned to look at Squall and noticed this.

"Squall are you ok? You want me to call the doc? You look flushed. Here, let me see," Seifer lifted his hand to rest on Squall's forehead and their eyes locked. That hand slowly fell down the side of Squall's face and cupped the brunette's reddening cheek. They both were at a loss for words but neither did anything to further the advance or stop it.

"Seifer, I-"

"What the hell is going on!!!" Dagen came storming into the room, slamming the door hard against the wall. Seifer jumped up and his hand snatched away from the soft skin.

"Dagen!?" Squall and Seifer said in unison.

"Squall? Are you alright?" Dagen hurried between Seifer and Squall, knocking the other man off balance and causing him to stumble into the chair. He took hold of Squall's hand and the made the brunette furious. Ripping his hand out of the other man's grasp, Squall glanced forward to see two more people join the room.

"What's going on in here! There is a patient in here! What is all this goofing around, Seifer and Lee!" Dr. Kadowaki waltzed over and looked at the now wide awake Squall.

"I thought I told you to report to your room, Dagen. Almasy, I told you to report to Dr. Kadowaki when you arrived here." Cid stepped closer to the two men as Seifer stood from his stumble and Dagen composed himself.

"I'm sorry sir," Dagen replied quickly. "I noticed Almasy heading into the elevator where I saw SeeD member, Zell Dincht, get bullied by him and pushed back into the elevator. I proceeded to follow him here, thinking he might-" Cid shook his head and cut the man off.

"That was of no concern to you, Dagen. You were given specific directions and should not be meddling in anyone else's business. And you Almasy, you were not allowed to see Leonhart without supervision as there is a complaint about you attacking him." Cid snapped at the two men.

There was a silence that filled the room until Squall decided that enough was enough, he wanted to know what the hell was going on.

"Cid, what's going on?" Squall said, looking at everyone with a serious glare. Cid walked over to the foot of the bed and motioned for the other two, standing closer to Squall, to move away from the bed.

"Squall, how are you feeling?"

"I feel fine. What's going on?" His voice left no room for arguments on his current status.

"Alright then, please give me a mission report from this morning's mission with your commander, Lee Dagen and your partner, Seifer Almasy." Squall's eyes darted over to the two men, who were standing up straight with their hands at their sides.

"Leonhart reporting this mornings events. Upon arriving at the small town, Almasy and I began our mission of talking to the townsfolk, who reported monster sightings. An hour into completing our mission, a young girl ran up to us, asking for help. There was an animal loose in her home and we went inside to try to capture it. It attacked me and, because we did not want to kill it, it scratched and bit me and I stumbled back and lost my footing, falling to the floor up against a table, where a vase fell on my head. I do not remember what happened afterwards as I awoke in the towns hospital. End of my report."

Cid did not respond right away as he had received Seifer's mission report from a student. Reading it over briefly, he found that both their stories were very much alike, and the only story that did not match up was Dagen's.

"Is that everything, Squall? Are you sure that it was a vase that fell on you head and not someone attacking you?" As he was saying this, Squall was shaking his head no. "Did SeeD member, Seifer Almasy, assault you?"

"No. If I may ask..." Squall cut in and Cid nodded his head to go on. "Who said that he attacked me?" Knowing this answer already, his grey eyes pierced into Dagen's, giving the man his best known glare.

"Now Dagen," Cid spoke up. "Please tell me why you suspected that Almasy's explanation was wrong, and why was it that you said Almasy attacked Leonhart?" Dagen knew this was coming so he had a person to fall back on, or in other words, put the blame on.

"One of the SeeD members said that they walked by the window and it looked like Almasy was attacking Leonhart. They did not wait any longer as they reported to me immediately and so as I was on my way to him, Almasy came out to me with Leonhart in his arms. I heard what he had said but with the previous confrontations, I took to my own judgement and believed in the other SeeD member before I believed in Almasy. I should have not jumped to such a extreme conclusion so quickly. I apologize for this."

Cid narrowed his eyes.

"So from what I am getting from you is that Seifer is not at fault?" Dagen's eyes widened and knew that he was in trouble. He cursed to himself but answered properly.

"Yes sir." His voice was lowered in acceptance of this fault.

"And so that means that you did not obey procedure's to solve this problem, almost expelling a student and SeeD member because of your assumptions?"

"Y, yes sir. Sorry sir."

"You have abused your rights as a Commander and I will take action upon that immediately and have your punishment as soon as I get to my office and talk to the other board members. But for now, I think you owe two of Garden's top SeeD members an apology."

Dagen face almost sneered at the Headmaster but he turned to Squall and bowed slightly.

"I'm sorry Squall. It was my mistake." Squall, knowing fully what had happened did nothing to acknowledge the man. Dagen frowned and turned to the other man next to him, repeating the same actions. "I'm sorry Seifer, for not taking the proper procedure to solve this problem." Seifer glared intensely at the man but did not say anything back to him.

"Dagen, report to your quarter's and when I'm ready to give you your punishment, I will call you. Understand?"

"Yes sir."

"Dismissed, Dagen." Dagen quickly walked out of the room and angrily to his room.

"Seifer, Squall, I'm sorry that this has happened." Cid's voice toned down from being a strict headmaster to a sincere man. "Dr. Kadowaki informed me that Squall will be moved into Dagen's room soon, I will put that on hold for now because, with his punishment, I do not think he will be able to give you the proper attention that is needed. I would like to know if there is anyone in specific that you would like to room with for the time being?" Squall's eyes grew in surprise as he did not know they had plans like that for him.

"I'm fine by myself. I don't need anyone to babysit me." Squall huffed and crossed his arms.

Kadowaki smiled and teased. "Then Squall, you will be roomed with Seifer if that is how you feel and he is the next person on the list, so you will be moved immediately to his quarters. Understand?"

"What? No, I said I was-"

"That's a fine idea, Dr. Kadowaki. I will make that an order for one week, and surely that will help you two over come your differences. Now, you can either have Seifer room in at your place Squall, or the other way around, understand?" None of the boys said a word as they were too surprised. "Good, make the decision and I have to return to my office. Good day to you all."

Kadowaki walked by Seifer and pushed his jaw up. "No mouths hanging, dear. And Squall, I have your clothes right here so get dressed and I will leave the rest up to you boys to complete. Please let me know what you have decided and whatever classes you have Seifer, I will give you a by for a week, so you can take care of Squall fully." With a sweet smile, left for the two stunned men, she left the room closing the door lightly.
