Chapter 03: Tada!

Rinoa marched into the store, picking up the phone receiver as she dialed Seifer's work number.

"Hello? Yes, may I speak to Mr. Almasy?….he's not there? Oh…Okay…Thank you." Rinoa sighed as she hanged up the phone. She turned to Squall and weakly smiled, "He's not there. God…"

Squall narrowed his eyes slightly and turned away, "Don't assume about him, la chica."

Rinoa shook her head and sat in the chair near her, "Then where could he be?… Well, don't worry yourself over me Squall. Just go."

Squall nodded, "Be okay."

Rinoa sighed and looked at the floor, listening intently to the heavy clamp Squall made with his shoes as he walked away. Holding her left arm with her right hand, Rinoa leaned against the wall, 'How could he? Only for two weeks. Two weeks."

Closing her eyes for a brief moment, Rinoa sighed heavily.

"Hey girl, why the long face, baby?" a deep voice asked her. Rinoa snapped opened her eyes to the right to find Seifer there with roses in his hand, smirking slightly.

"Seifer!" Rinoa screamed in delight and ran to him, hugging him tightly, "I thought you had work." Rinoa lied, forcing a smile.

"Tuesdays I'm off." Seifer smiled, "I lied to you because I want to surprise you."

Rinoa backed away a little, looking on the floor. Putting her arms behind her back, she made her feet circle the floor, "Really? I-I-I thought you were.... hmm…you know…"

Seifer backed up a little, surprised, "Why would you think that?"

Rinoa looked up, and tilted her head to the side, "Squall was here a few minutes ago and he told me that Tuesdays were off for you and you told me you had work…it's just…."

Seifer sighed and dismissed it with a wave of his hand, "I don't understand why you girls---whatever."

Rinoa walked to Seifer and wrapped her arms around him and nodded into Seifer chest, "Sorry. I just got a bit…I don't know, traumatized, ya know? I mean it has been only two weeks and it's like…just with your reputation and all."

"I get ya." Seifer said, kissing the top of Rinoa's head, "But ya gotta trust me Rinny. I would never do that to you."

"Is that what you say to other girls?" Rinoa said quietly, turning away from Seifer. Seifer stared at Rinoa's back, shaking his head. "Two weeks. And you already distrust me, Hyne."

Rinoa sighed and threw her hands up in frustration, "Okay, I'm sorry. I ruined things didn't I? I'm sorry for not trusting you and ruining your whole sweet surprise for me." Rinoa smiled sweetly and popped a kiss on Seifer's lips.

"Forgive me?" Rinoa asked, both of her eyebrows rose. Seifer chuckled lightly and nodded, "For sure."

Rinoa giggled and playfully slapped Seifer's arm, "So tell me, what did you plan?"

"Well…" Seifer said smoothly, pulling Rinoa closer to him. He whispered seductively into her ear, "I was just planning on going on a walk to a beach but of course after a surprise lunch date at this very expensive restaurant…"

Rinoa breath caught, "Really? Where…"

"Do you really wanna know?"

"Ya…"

"Do you really wanna know?

Rinoa nodded frenetically, "Y-yes…"

"Burger King…"

Rinoa squealed while giggling, hitting Seifer on his arm. "Damn you! Hehe, My gosh! You're so mean!"

Seifer grinned, dropping his flowers to raise his hands in defense. "Hey, you wanted to know. I wanted to keep this to myself!"

Rinoa sighed, shaking her head. " 'Kay, now where we really going?"

"Fine…I was thinking McDonalds but---"

"Hey!"

"All right, all right, we are going to Lé Shanté."

Rinoa gasped in shocked. She put her hand over her agape mouth staring at a grinning Seifer.

"You-you-you got reservations?" Rinoa stuttered turning away from Seifer, "OhmyGod, OhmyGod, OhmyGod."

"Yeah…figured you were worthy. Now we better go now."

"Y-y-y-yah-huh. Let me get my purse." Rinoa uttered out, grabbing her white purse. "C'mon."

Rinoa stared in awe at the striking restaurant, Lé Shanté . "Wow…it's so…big and…pretty."

Seifer walked up behind Rinoa, glancing around him. "Eeh, it's all right."

Rinoa turned to Seifer, rolling her eyes. "Oh what do you know, anyway?" Rinoa muttered underneath her breath.

"I know what I'm paying for all this." Seifer said, surprising Rinoa that he had heard.

Rinoa rolled her eyes again before walking down the stairs. She watched as the people walked with elegance. The pale white marble floor looked so creamy. The tables where all circular and on them was a silky blush pink cloth on them. Each table had two flawless, fine-looking candles on them. The tables where simple and from what Rinoa could see had a comfortable cushion. The place had a cozy, yet graceful kind of atmosphere.

"Come on." Seifer whispered in Rinoa's ear from behind.

"Come along you two youngsters, your table is right along that corner." The waiter pointed as he guided the way.

Rinoa took her comb and ran it through her moist black hair. Looking at the mirror, grinning from cheek to cheek. Setting the comb down, she applied some eye shadow and a light pink lipstick.

Walking to her closet, she took out a denim dress and laid it on her bed Taking a black 'Victoria's Secret' bra and a black thong, she put them on her. Taking the clothing on her bed, she un-button it and slipped it on her slim form. Buttoning from the bottom to up. The top of her dress was like a tank-top sleeve. Leaving one button of her dress, undone. Rinoa ran to her closet and took out her black high-heels.

Rinoa glanced at her mirror, and watched in admiration; loving the way the dress hugged her curves.

Going to her phone, she dialed Selphie's number.

"Hey Selphie…uh-huh, I'm fine. I was just wondering if you and Quistis wanted to go to the mall today. I'm bored and dressed and just wondering…you will? Thanks! Can you phone Quistis for me?…why?Uh…no reason, just wanna go to that mall right away. Eh-heh... Okay…bye."

Getting her thin black wallet, she inserted it into her upper left pocket. Also taking her keys and cell phone she put them in her back pockets.

"Oh! Forgot the belt!"

Hurrying back to her closet, she took out her gold chain belt and slipped it through her belt holes.

"Time to go."

Rinoa crossed her arms as she sat on the bench outside the mall; waiting for her 'friends.'

Looking to the right, she found the timid figure of Selphie. Rinoa sighed, exasperated. "Finally!"

Getting up, she jogged toward Selphie.

"Hey! What took you? Also, where's Quisty?"

"Oh, sorry, but my mother started telling me to do something. Oh and Quistis is coming soon. Oh…there she is now!" Selphie pointed behind Rinoa. Rinoa swiftly turned around and found Quistis looking at them.

"C'mon, let's go." Selphie said, grabbing Rinoa hands, running to Quistis while dragging Rinoa.

Squall sat on the back of the public bus, staring off. Thinking.

<If Seifer seriously were being unfaithful to Rinoa…I would-it would be such a shame. What would I do? It's his girl. He can do what he wants to. Dammit. If he hurts her, I would really have to knock some sense into him. She's everything he could want. >

Squall's gray-blue eyes flickered to his right as he saw his destination. Pulling the lever next to him, he got up as the bus came to a halt.

Author's Note: I know. I know. This chapter drags and is pointless and plot less. But that is my writing style. The chapter that is before the beginning of the plot is always plot less. This chapter is the introduction to the plot. Sorry. I hadn't plan for any real juicy things to happen to this chapter. I had plan to reveal another characters thoughts but why make this chapter more abysmal? Next chapter is definitely a killer. I'm looking at the outline of the story and I am SO excited. Can't wait to tackle the next chapter. Oh My God! Optical Goddess reviewed my story! Ah! Anyone that reads lemon and have seemed a lacking of good ones, I suggest your ass to read her stuff. Coz she is gooood! All right, so expect the next chapter, hopefully Thursday. ^_^.
