Epilogue- The Next Story

It had been fifteen years since the group had put Seymour in the grave for good and a lot had changed. Lulu and Wakka's son Chappu was now seventeen years old and had taken over the position of team Captain for the Aurochs but Wakka and Tidus still coached the new generation of blitzers.

Kimahri had gone to live with his Ronso brethren ten years ago and had become the next tribal elder after the once ~~~ous Kelk Ronso died. Auron, Jecht, and Braska had finally passed on to the Farplane at peace, each one dying at his own time.

Rikku had grown up a lot and had gotten married to an Al Bhed man named Lee Reist and they had their share of children now. Every one of them was a teenager and Rikku said they reminder her of herself when she had first met everyone.

Last but not least were Tidus and Yuna. They had gotten married as about five days after returning to Besaid from Bevelle, just long enough to plan the small wedding. They settled down in Besaid and finally were enjoying the rest of their lives together. They had a fifteen year-old daughter named Mara who had become a better swordsman and blitzer than Tidus had been.

Life was good and relaxing. Then on one night, during that fifteenth year something extremely unexpected happened. It had been storming since about sundown with the normal strength of any tropical storm in Besaid. Yuna awoke to the sound of thunder outside of the window of her and Tidus' bedroom.

She walked around the tent style house and checked the windows to make sure the storm wasn't getting through the house and leaking in. A sound of crying caught her attention and she began to look for the source. After no success in the house she went to the front door and found something incredible outside.

On the rug in front of the hut was a baby of maybe six months in a carriage. Beside the carriage was a katana that greatly resembled Auron's old Gatekeeper but the blades of the weapon were all blood red except for the cutting edges. Upon it's handle where the word `Gatekeeper should have been were the words `Last Gateway'.

Yuna picked up the carriage and weapon and rushed upstairs to where Tidus was asleep. She woke him and told him about it and he picked up the baby and found a letter addressed to him and Yuna inside the carriage.

It said:

"I beg of you to take care of my son. I will depart from this realm soon enough and he is the last chance we have to remain alive in memory at least. When he reaches the age of six, please give him this sword and train him to use it. Beware of the one called Damien. Please, I beg you to take care of my son, Ky Jiderah."

They read the message and then decided to follow it. The years passed quickly and in what seemed like a few days, Ky was of age to receive the Last Gateway. It was only the beginning.
