==================================

During the Night:

Zell shifted in his bed. It was hot in his room and the covers were getting to him. Zell opened his eyes and sat up, kicking his blankets away. Sighing, Zell fell back into his pillow, closing his eyes again.

Something felt weird. Like it wasn't right, somehow.

He opened his bright eyes, sitting up again. Zell looked around the room, feeling something was missing. But what was it?

Then a hand on his shoulder pulling his back down to the mattress.

"Huh?" Zell mumbled, turning to see who it was.

The pale face and dark brown hair is all Zell needed to see to realize Griever was laying next to him. Then the scar that ran between his eyes only enforced the truth.

Griever's strong arm wrapped around Zell's stomach, pulling the boy close.

"Sleep," Griever instructed Zell sleepily.

Zell shifted to face Griever, smiling at the rock star. "Squall," he whispered.

Griever's eyes opened, the storms settled into a half-sleep. "Zell?"

Zell wrapped his arms around Griever, snuggling to him.

Griever pushed his body to Zell's, kissing the top of Zell's head.

---

"Zell?!" Selphie said loudly, snapping Zell out of his peaceful sleep.

"What?!" Zell grumbled, sitting up in his bed.

"Are you asleep?" Selphie asked, half smiling.

Zell looked at Selphie, who was sitting on the floor with a few blankets and a sleeping bag. Mathew was next to her with his own blankets and sleeping bag, rubbing his eyes.

Zell sighed. "Not now... thanks."

Selphie smiled in the dark, moon-light lit room. "Good. 'Cause I'm hyper..." Selphie grinned.

"Urrggh!" Mathew groaned, turning to glare at Selphie. "You dumb... urgh."

"What?!" Selphie snapped loudly. "What was that?!"

Mathew's shoulders slumped as he leaned forward, his eyes closed. "Nothing."

"Damn right," Selphie snapped, sneering with fangs at Mathew.

Zell laughed quietly before he yawned, covering his mouth quickly. "Man," he mumbled. "Why'dya have ta wake me up?"

Selphie turned to look at Zell, her face back to its normal-perkiness.

Zell meet Selphie's green eyes. "I was havin' the best dream! And you woke me up!"

Selphie sat up straight, obviously interested in hearing more about the dream. "Oh?!"

Mathew flopped back into his sleeping bag, stretching in his laying position.

Zell bit his tongue wishing he was more awake. Like he wanted to tell Selphie he'd been dreaming about Griever just then. "Just, a happy dream..." Zell made up the lamest excuse he could think to say.

Selphie frowned, unconvinced. "Liar...Lair! You were dreaming of Griever, huh?!"

Zell blushed, happy that the room was so dark it could hid the reddening cheeks. "Well... Shut up!"

"Oooh!" Mathew said, sitting up, holding himself up with his hands on the thin cushion behind him. "Was it good? Like porno good?"

Zell shook his head, flopping back into his bed. "Shut up, both o' you."

Mathew laughed.

Selphie grumbled at him. "Jerk!" Selphie turned to Zell. "Come on!! Tell me!"

"Maybe it was a porno dream, Selphie," Zell mumbled.

Mathew laughed harder.

"Urrr!" Selphie grumbled, crossing her arms. "Fine!"

Zell sniffed, turning in his bed, closing his eyes.

Mathew flopped backwards again, trying to fall asleep himself.

Selphie looked at the two boys. "Helloooo?! We're not done! I just woke you two up! Entertain me!"

Mathew turned to look at Selphie, hugging his pillow. "Go to sleep."

Selphie half-heartedly sneered. "Can't. I'm too excited 'bout seeing Blood Kiss. In person, not just at the concert!"

Zell hugged his pillow closer to him, trying to block out the voices and fall back asleep - hopefully back into his dream again.

"Sleep," Mathew instructed. "Dream about Griever, like Zell." Mathew chuckled to himself.

Selphie laid back down on her side, looking at Mathew. "Griever is Zell's."

Mathew laughed again. "Dream of Flare! I don't give a fuck! Just go to sleep!"

"Fine," Selphie mumbled. "Zell! I'm laying claim to Flare! You can't have him, too!"

Zell groaned-growled his response but smiled to himself.

"Wet dreams," Mathew said in a "sweet dreams" tone, chuckling to himself.

Next Day:

Zell, Selphie, and Mathew walked towards the hotel on 6th street. A large crowd was at the entrance chanting "Blood Kiss" over and over again.

"Don't they get tired of that?" Selphie asked, frowning.

Mathew laughed lightly. Zell smiled.

"Eh," Zell started. "I donno. You think they'll actually let me in?"

Selphie took Zell's hand, lacing her fingers with his. "Sure! They'll have to. You've got a letter signed by Griever."

Mathew nodded, standing on the other side of Selphie.

"'Kay," Zell mumbled, letting Selphie lead him into the crowd of people, towards the main entrance.

There were a lot of large security guards, huge men like the one who'd visited Zell with Squall's letter. Zell found himself standing next to one of the large men, who was leering down at him.

"Kid?" the man said in his deep voice.

"Eh?" Zell stuttered. He shook his head. "I'm here to see ... Squall."

The man crossed his arms. "That right?"

Zell nodded, Selphie helping him by nodding as well behind. Mathew shifted his weight, unsure about this himself now.

"I have a letter-" Zell started but the man interrupted.

"Everyone has a letter, an autograph, oh I just wanna see him! Please," the man mimicked a child's voice - pathetically.

"But!-" Zell tried again.

"Shut up and fuck off," the man continued.

"Fuck you!" Mathew snapped from behind.

The man looked at him. "What?"

"I really have a letter from Squall!" Zell said, insisting. "Come on! Look-"

"Shut the hell up and get lost, before I help you get lost," the man continued.

"You jackass," Selphie grumbled.

"Look!" Zell said, holding the letter out in his hand.

The man shook his head. "Get out of here, kid."

"But-" Zell continued to try.

"Fuck. Off," the man pushed, his arms uncrossing, his stance changing to look more aggresive.

"You are so fired," Selphie napped. "So fired!"

The man sneered at her.

Zell's shoulder's slumped as he stepped back. He growled but turned away, heading out of the crowd.

Mathew flipped the large man off before hurrying after Zell.

"So fired!" Selphie repeated, glaring angrily at the large man before heading after her two friends.

The man shifted his weight again, frowning. Had the kid said Squall? Squall? Eh, do any of the fans know Griever's real name? If they did, would they think to use it?

He turned to look to the head of security, one of the largest men, dressed in a suit. The security guard walked from his station, heading up the steps to his boss.

"Sir?" the man said.

"What?" the head of security asked.

"A blonde kid, facial tattoo... asked to see Squall," the man said slowly.

"Oh!" the boss said. "Let him through, I'll talk to him," he nodded.

"I can't..." the man said.

The boss frowned. "Why? Grieve has a message for the kid."

The man swallowed hard. "I, ah, told 'im to fuck off."

"What?!" the boss snapped.

The man shrugged. "Didn't realize-"

"Oh fuck!" the boss snapped again, looking into the crowd. "You. Told. Zell. To. Fuck off? ... Shit, Grieve is gonna be soooo pissed." The bossed frowned a moment. "Well, Flare will be pissed for Griever..." The boss shook the thought away. He turned to the muscle head. "Where'd they go?"

"Eh? Into the crowd?" the man mumbled.

The boss glared at the man. "I'm going to go look for him. If I don't find him, you're fired."

The man swallowed as he watched the large suit walk down the steps and pasted the posts, into the crowd.

---

Zell kicked the dirt, walking back up the street.

"Can't believe that!" Mathew snapped. "You'd think they'd be looking for you!"

Selphie crossed her arms. "That guy... what a jerk! Didn't even look at your letter!"

"Maybe Griever didn't tell them," Zell said softly. He kicked the dirt again.

"No way!" Mathew insisted. "Griever gave you his guitar ... signed it with a personal message. Called you beautiful boy. He so was-"

"What?" Zell said, stopping to look at Mathew.

"What, what?" Mathew asked, standing facing Zell.

Selphie stood next to Zell, looking at Mathew.

"How do you know Griever said I was beautiful?" Zell asked, frowning.

Selphie turned to look at Zell, eyes wide. "What?! When'd he call-"

"Bishounen," Mathew said. He half smiled. "It means beautiful boy."

Zell blushed, eyes slightly wider then normal.

Selphie looked at Mathew. "Woow! ... Really?! It does! Hey.. wait... So Griever -" she turned back to Zell "-said you were beautiful? And you didn't tell me?!"

Zell put his hands into his pockets, his blush deepening. "...yeah..."

Selphie bounced excitedly. "Woow! Why didn't you tell me?!" She smiled brightly, eyes glued to Zell.

Zell kicked the dirt again. "I donno..."

"What else have you not-" Selphie was interrupted by a deep voice.

"Kid," a man said.

The three turned to look at him. He was a huge man dressed in a grey suit. Older, probably around 45.

"Kid!" the man said, pointing to Zell. "With the tattoo... what's your name?"

Zell stood up straight. "Zell Dincht."

The man suddenly looked relieved. "Thank Hyne." He coughed. "Eh, Zell...."

Zell glanced to Mathew and Selphie before looking back to the guy.

The man reached their position, towering over them. "Sorry about that guy," he pointed with his thumb to the hotel in back of him. "Stupid muscle. Sometimes they're too dense."

Zell blinked, waiting.

"Um, so... I mean," the man was... stuttering? "You... okay, Zell?"

Zell shifted his weight. "What do you want?"

"To apologize!" the man said quickly. "Griever told me you were coming."

Zell half smiled. "Really?"

"That asshole!" Mathew said, stepping in. "Fucking prick yelled at Zell!"

The man looked slightly horrified. "I'm so sorry. I - I..."

Zell smiled. "Its alright."

The man coughed. "I'd let you up right now, but Griever ain't there."

"Oh?" Zell said, not bothering to hide his disappointment.

"Grieve told me that if you came by to say sorry," the man explained. "He ah, frowned! For a good three seconds over it."

Zell shifted his weight, frowning. "Why'd ya tell me that?"

The man laughed lightly, half-nervous. "You know Grieve. Mr. Icy-Cold-Bastard, and then some. I've never seen him frown so long. I think he was pretty pissed about missing you."

Zell smiled, his disappointment lifting slightly. "Oh?"

"So where is he?" Mathew butt in again.

"Practice," the man said with a nod. "Donno when B.K. will be back, though. Manager is insane, I honestly think."

"'Kay," Zell said, nodding.

"I'm... gonna go back now," the man said, pointing with his thumb again to the hotel behind him.

"Tsh!" Mathew grumbled.

The man stopped his movements, glancing at Mathew then looking to Zell. "You pissed?"

Zell shook his head, a small smile on his face. "Its okay. He's busy."

The man nodded. "What about Yamada? You pissed at him?" Yamada = stupid security guard.

Zell shook his head again, still smiling. "No big deal. He was jus doing his job."

"You sure? Cause, if your pissed, I'll fire him. He's gone," the man insisted.

Zell smiled brightly, almost laughing. "Its okay. The guy fucked up. Whoops. I'm alright, ego intact and all. I'll see Squall later."

The man smiled slightly. "'Kay, kid. I'll tell Griever you were looking for him."

Zell continued to smiled. "Thanks."

"No prob," the man finished, turning back to the hotel.

Selphie grabbed a hold of Zell's arm, squeezing tightly. "Oooo! You hear that?! The guy would have been canned by just one word from you!"

"Damn right!" Mathew snapped in the direction of the hotel.

Zell blushed, shaking his head. "Lets go back ta my house," Zell said, nearly laughing.

"That was sooo cool!" Selphie squeezed Zell's arm a moment longer before letting him go.

Mathew looked at Zell. "So, Bishounen... Lets go."

Zell blushed deeply. "Shut up!"

Selphie and Mathew laughed, Zell smiling.
