Chapter 2:

Time To Come Home

A golden chocobo and its riders stood on top of a mountain as Meteor and Holy fought each other to win. They watched as the Lifestream came out and flowed up to help Holy. The gaint rock slowly started to brake down. Holy and the Lifestream was winning.

"Looks like Aeris's wish came true, sweety," the young woman smiled at the small boy in front of her. His light persian blue eyes looking up to meet his mother's dark persian blue Mako eyes. She moved the long silver hair out of his face to find a beautiful smile. "Let's go home and meet your uncle."

"Uncle Seph?!" the little boy asked hopefully.

"Yes, that one, dear," the girl smiled.

"YEA!!" the little boy yelled.

The mother smiled and then turned to look at her Ocean Chocobo. "Let's go home, Shin."

"Wark!" The gold bird flapped its gaint wings and then turned around and started down the mountains to the north.

Vincent Valentine looked out to the northren mountains to see a golden bird. ~What's that? A Ocean Chocobo?~ He looked closer to see a young girl. He couldn't make out her face, but he could tell she had long dark brown hair. ~Lucrezia?~ He notice something white, but the large bird turned around and vanished to the other side of the mountain.

"WE WON!!!" Yuffie yelled.

"Aeris's pary did it," Tifa smiled.

"So, did we," Barret said. "We beat the hell out of Sephiroth and Jenova!"
"You mean Cloud bet the hell out of Sephiroth," Cid smiled as he wrapped an arm around Cloud's neck.

"Oh, yeah," Barret smiled. "Great work leader."

"Yeah, nice job, Cloud!" Cait Sith said happily.

"Yeah, I did...." Cloud looked down.

"Hey? You OK?" Cid asked.

"I need to be alone." Cloud pushed Cid's arm off of him and left the control room of the Highwind.

"What's up with him?" Yuffie asked.

"Maybe someone should go and check on him," Tifa said as she started to the door, but she was stopped when Vincent's arm came out in front of her.

"I'll go talk to him," he said coolly.

"But...." Tifa said.

"Let him, Tifa. They understand each other," Cait Sith said calmly.

"Reeve?" Yuffie asked.

"They all gone through the same thing," Reeve said.

"Okay...." Tifa said as she back down.

"Thank you." With no other words, Vincent walked out. He found Cloud out on the deck. He stood looking out to the blue sky. His soft Mako eyes clouded by thoughts. Vinecnt walked up behind him.

Cloud knew he was there. He shook his head and turned around to look at his dark friend. "It's not over."

"What do you mean? Jenova is dead and Sephiroth is freed. What else is there besides to go home," Vincent asked.

"We have no home, Vincent. My home died in the Northern Crater and yours back in Nibelheim," Cloud said coldly.

"Yes, that is true. But we can make new ones in time," Vincent said with pain in his eyes at the memory of Lucrezia.

"I'm sorry, Vince." Cloud turned away from him and looked out to the mountains.

"Forgiven. So, what do you mean by it's not over?" Vincent asked.

"Well, at least I think it isn't."

"What do you mean?"

"Up in the Northren Mountains, I swear I saw girl on an Ocean Chocobo."

"You could have been seeing things."

"No, she was real."

"What makes you so sure?" Vincent asked.

"The girl I seen was Zakara." He turned back to Vincent. "Sephiroth's sister."

"What?!"

"Back when I was in SOLDIERs. When I became friends with Sephiroth, he introduced me to a little girl. She was 10 at the time. She had look so weak and fragile, but she had a heart of gold," Cloud said happily and painfully. "Angel is what we called her. That's what she was. An angel from the Lifestream given to me, Sephiroth, and Zack. She could brighten up anyone's day. All but Hojo. He injected her with so many things beside Mako and Jenova Cells. That's what got her in the end, I think."

"You mean she's...."

"Dead? Yes or... at least I thought. That day I thought I saw her."

Vincent thought for a mount, remembering the Ocean Chocobo and the girl. "What did she look like?"

"Dr. Walts and Dr. King said she looked like her mother. I think they said her name was Lucrezia."

"Lucrezia?!" Vincent's eyes widen.

"Yes, Sephiroth and her are full blooded," Cloud said calmly.

"How?"

"I don't know. I guess, Hojo took one of her eggs."

"He would do something like that."

"I konw...." Cloud lowered his head.

"Cloud?"

"Hmm?" He looked back up.

"I think.... I think I may have seen her," Vincent said.

"What?"

"While Holy, Lifestream, and Meteor were clearing away, I seen a girl with dark brown hair riding an Ocean Chocobo. They stayed only a few seconds and then left.... Heading north." Vincent stared at Cloud. The young man's eyes filled with hope. "Think we should go and check it out?"

"Yes, but we can't let the others know. They may think we gone crazy," Cloud smiled.

"Wark! Wark!" a River Chocobo yelled as a stranger enter the Starlight Ranch.

"Calm down, boy." The man patted the chocobo on the bepeek. "I'm only here to see Angel and to get out of the cold."

"Sephiroth?!" The Genenral looked to the front entry of the snowy ranch to see an Ocean Chocobo with a female rider and a young child in her lap.

He smiled as they came closer. "Angel."

"Seph!" The girl jumped off the chocobo, leaving the boy there to watch her. Sephiroth smiled grow as she the ran towards him. She jumped into his arms and wraped hers around his neck as he tightly closed his around her.

"I've missed you, brother," the girl said as tears of joy gone down her face.

"I've missed you too, Angel." The general couldn't help but laugh. He was home now.... Well, almost home.

Sephiroth opened his eyes and lock gazes with perisan blue orbs. "Who is this?"

The girl lowered herself out of the general arms and walked over to the golden chocobo. "Come here, dear." She held her hands out to the little boy. He climbed into her arms, and she carried him to the strong man. "Seph, I'd like for you to meet Sephen, my son."

"Your son?!" Sephiroth looked at his sister.

"That white stuff Hojo put in me was spream." She looked down at her son who was looking at his uncle.

"Uncle Sephiroth?" Sephen asked as he held out his tiny hand to the general.

Sephiroth took the small hand in his long one and looked at it. The little boy skin was as pale as his own and his hair was as white as the sonw.

"He looks like you," the girl smiled.

"Uncle?"

"Hmm?" Sephiroth looked at the child in the eyes. "Yes?"

"Why do you call Mommy Angel?" he asked.

"When your mommy was little like you, she was called Zakara, but she didn't like that name. So, I started to call her Angel sence she was one." Sephiroth smiled.

"Oh, Mommy tells people to call her Zair White." He looked to his mother. "Does that mean Uncle Seph have to call you that?"

"No, he has always called me Angel and he still can if he likes," Zair smiled.

"And I plan to," Seph added.

"I know." Zair placed Spehen in Sephiroth's arms. "We have alot of things to talk about."

"I know...." Sephiroth said as his smile disappeared.

"Go on inside. I'll be there after I put up Shin," Zair said as she headed back to the chocobo.

"I'll show you my room, Uncle Seph," Spehen said happily.

Spehiroth looked at the child. "I'll enjoy that." The general took one last looked at Zair and than walked into his new home.
