The Life of Erin Tribal
Chapter 17
"Banon! Kefka and his troops are approaching the entrance! We have to evacuate immediately!" he explained.
"Right. You round up everyone and get out immediately!" Banon said.
"Banon, I'll go back to South Figaro. I'm just wondering if they have occupied the city," Locke explained.
"Locke, I'm going with you. I'm not going to hide," stated Erin, looking at him.
"But…" stated everyone but Locke.
"No buts! I've made up my mind! Terra, I'm sure we will meet back somewhere. Say, how does Narshe sound? I know, it's dangerous with the fact that they are looking for me, but I'm not afraid of that danger. I'm going with Locke, no matter what anyone says!" explained Erin.
"There's no changing her mind. All right. Terra, Sabin, and Banon will go with me. Narshe does like a good place to meet up again. It's settled, so let's go!" explained Edgar.
Erin looked up at Locke, and he smiled. "I think he's glad to have someone to go with," Erin thought to herself. They headed towards the entrance. As soon as they got out into the sunlight, they saw the troops in the distance. Locke dragged Erin back behind part of a mountain. They watched as the troops stormed into the hideout.
"I sure hope Terra is ok," Erin whispered to Locke.
"Don't worry, she's in good hand's," replied Locke.
Erin smiled. The troops had disappeared, and she figured that they were in the hideout.
"Let's go," whispered Locke.
Erin nodded, and they started out running. Locke saw that Erin was a very fast runner, despite her shortness and how young she was.
They made it to Mount Kolts in a few minutes. Slowing down a bit, the two walked through Mount Kolts, defeating the enemies that got in their way. After awhile, the entrance, or exit in their case, came up in the distance. As they exited, Erin looked around. There was no sign of the troops anywhere.
As they walked towards South Figaro, all enemies they encountered were defeated. Right before they entered South Figaro, Erin stopped Locke to show him something.
"Locke, I picked these up back at the Returner's Hideout. Hopefully they come useful!" Erin stated, showing Locke the things she had grabbed.
"Good, at least they were gotten before the hideout was raided. Well, South Figaro's near, so let's get going," exclaimed Locke.
They started walking again. When they first entered the town, Erin noted one thing: This town is occupied. She sighed, and stopped Locke once again.
"What are we supposed to do? They have occupied the town, and it's going to be hard to get around!" whispered Erin, getting worried. The fearlessness that she had had earlier was gone.
"What happened to not being scared? Don't worry, with my skills of thievery, we shouldn't have a problem!" Locke whispered back.
