In the Beginning

The sun was gradually rising; depleting the darkness until yet again it would swallow it whole later on. As the darkness vanquished, the sun spread rays of light to the sleeping world, filling it with a healthy glow of a golden hue. The birds began chirping, singing their songs of splendor. The world was awakening for the members of SeeD

It was a Monday. That meant new possibilities for everyone. Ever so slowly, the rays of the sun peeped into Selphie's bedroom. She groaned as she opened her shimmering green eyes and immediately closed them again, a flash of pain seeped into her eyes from the rays. She rubbed the pain away and opened her eyes once more and shielded her eyes from the sun. Sighing, Selphie hopped out of her bed and stretched for a good long moment then grinned, happily.

"Today's the day!" she exclaimed, excitedly. "I gotta get ready!" she took a good look at her teddy bear pajamas and giggled. "But I'm not gonna go like this!" Quickly, she began to dress and brush her hair, gazing at her reflection in the mirror. She let out a quick sigh and breathed in deeply, closing her eyes.

It was peaceful now since the war with Ultimecia was over and everything was pretty much back to normal. Though there were many changes at the time as well. Squall and Rinoa were in love, Quistis and Seifer were also in the stage of dating, Zell was dating a pony-tailed girl that worked in the library, with black hair and beautiful hazel eyes, named Jewel and herself and Irvine were…well…also in love.

Love? This is more than a mere love! This was an endless love.

She opened her eyes and gave a petite smile. Today was when Irvine would take her somewhere special. Grinning, Selphie swiftly scurried to the restroom, brushed her teeth, and checked her hair, giggling softly. She never usually cared THAT much on how she looked, but this was Irvine she was talking about! She dashed out the door, making sure to lock up on the way out. This would be an awesome day! She knew it! She could feel it in her bones!

She giggled giddily as she raced toward the Cafeteria, where she was supposed to meet up with her crush. She was practically bouncing up and down for joy as people waved a ‘good morning’ to her and she waved back enthusiastically, just like her normal self always would. Skipping into the elevator, Selphie pressed the down button and she waited as the doors closed and the elevator began to descended down. Immediately, a wave of nervousness began to develop inside her and she fidgeted with her hands. She took in a deep breath and let it out, slowly.

She would be fine! Right?
