Chapter 8: To find Manda…

By the time it was morning the group was sitting outside of the front of the inn.” Well did she come?” Livy asked impatiently. Steph shook her head. “No But she did leave this.” Steph said, pulling the little slip of paper out of her back pocket. Melissa locked her eyes on it. “Give me that.” she snapped, swiping the piece of paper out of Steph’s cat like paws. Steph looked slightly token back. Melissa’s crankiness lurked in the air, no one dared say a word, they watched as Melissa searched the letter for some sort of sign of where Manda had gone. She knew it was her obviously, her handwriting was exact, some what sloppy, yet neat, with perfection.

Hi Guys!
I was really pissed off about the whole concert thing…why’d you guys run off on me!?! That was the most scariest and terrifying experience of my entire Life!…Well going to see the Fayth for the first time in Besaid doesn’t count! Well anyways, it was kinda fun I guess…I don’t quite know why I’m running off either, but I need to be on my own for a while, just a little while, I’ll be back soon, don’t go off and find a new summoner now.

Lots of Love

Yunalesca

Melissa read the letter over and over, until finally she read it out loud. Confusion washed over Livy’s face. “Yunalesca? The only person who called her that was Lord Braska…and her mother when she was in a lot of crap…why in the bloody hell would she sign that letter like that?” Livy barked, Melissa looked back at her. They attempted to have a conversation between there eyes but they were unsuccessful. “I could try to sniff her out…I don’t know how successful we’d be, there’s to many scents here, but maybe if we went back to the stadium we’d have more luck.” Steph said quietly. The others looked at her and nodded in agreeance.

“So apparently there’s more to know about our little summoner, huh?” Marjan muttered. “There’s a lot you don’t know about her so don’t bother trying to understand her either.” Livy snapped. The group looked at her, her outburst was sudden, she sighed. “Lets just find Manda okay?” She muttered. “Or you mean Yunalesca?” The mysterious male voice spoke up. The group turned to look at the male, recognition sparking in everyone’s eyes except Chris’. “Who the hell are you?” Chris grunted violently.

The male threw the blitz ball up into the air and served it with full force as hard as he could nobody knew what had occurred until the rush of wind soared past them. “David McIntyre, number 11 and Captain of the Luca Goers.” Marjan said, his eyebrow arched slightly. David opened his mouth slightly to say something in response but the giddiest blonde before him cut him off. “You guys completely creamed The Psyches last round!” She whined, he looked at her in slight disgust, about to remark to her comment he closed his mouth, noticing she had the look of an Al Bhed in her eyes. “Yeah…what the hell is that?” He asked motioning to the cat like ears sitting atop of Steph’s head, he reached over to touch them but she grabbed his hand in the amidst of touching them. “Nuh uh buster…I gotsa a kitty tail too see?” she said turning around and shaking her bottom at him, he looked at the black tail, and stepped back slightly. “Weird.”

“Whatever anyways…where’s Manda?” Melissa questioned, he looked at her, Melissa watched as he jammed his hands into the deepness of the black pants. “Well where is she?” Steph chirped in. “She headed to the Macalania Woods last night…with a woman…dirty blonde hair and blue eyes…Kinda looked like one of those crusaders mixed with youth league.” He said. “Don’t ever say that again! How can you possibly compare a crusader and a youth league there-” Melissa cut her off, with one of her silence spells. She rubbed her forehead. “Thank you, now than, We head to the Macalania Woods, so anyone who needs a bathroom break, go now, Chris, Marjan get some food, and make sure it isn’t trail mix…and don’t eat it ALL!” she said firmly, the group nodded, but Steph continued to squeal and jump in panic, her voice would not come out, Melissa rolled her eyes, and swished a hand over her mouth. “HEY!” She cried. Melissa laughed, “I needed to get you to shut up some how!” Melissa said while laughing. Steph gave her a pouting expression.

David leaned up against the brick wall, watching attentively at the people he’d just met, who panicked frantically to find the girl he found slightly cute. “Mine as well make yourself useful and help.” Livy said softly to him. “Hmm, what?” He asked looking at her, her hands folded neatly behind her back, she continued to smile at him, he inspected her hair, which contained more braids than he could possibly count. “Help.” Livy said smiling softly at him. “I guess…Blitz is over for the season.” He said, while yawning and stretching. “Okay I’ll help.” He said. “Yay!” Steph squealed while she continued to dance and prance around, he rolled his eyes. “This is going to be the longest next couple of days of my life.” He said with a sigh.
