"Cloud…what are you doing here?!"
"Rikku, I'm taking you to the ball! Why else would I be here? You know we can't hide forever. This is the only time we can spend together, you know that. After the reunion and the ball, we'll all go back to our own world…our own time. It's just too bad that we're not meant to be together."
"But…I…"
"Just get ready, so we can at least spend this night together."
"But, Cloud! If we weren't meant to be together, why would we be allowed to fall in love? Why would something like this reunion happen? Why would our paths cross this way…?"

I walked away from him, into my room. I picked up the dress my mother had given to me. I put it on and walked towards my door. Cloud was waiting outside my bedroom door.
"I…I guess you have a point. Maybe we were meant to be together…"
