When I woke up, I was in some sort of weird tube... Like the kind that you see people who are severely injured in. Those weird, healing- type tube things. I don't know what they are. I looked around and saw Amber and Robert on my right. Ian and Dylan were on my left. We were all lined up, like we were supposed to be guinea pigs for experiments or something. All my wounds were healed, but I couldn't see very well. I was only in my underwear, and the same went for the others. I began to feel like sleeping again, but I fought to try and stay awake. You have to break out, I thought. I began to bang on the glass of the tube, startling the people watching over us. I banged harder on it, making a small crack in the tube. I began kicking and punching at the crack, making it larger and larger. After about 30 seconds of throwing punches and kicks at the crack, the glass shattered.
Glass went flying everywhere, and the green liquid surrounding me flew out of the tube, bringing me with it. I landed on my hands and knees, coughing to get used to breathing air directly, instead of through a mask. I got up, looked at the people around me, who were rather scared, and walked to the tube holding Amber. I grabbed the railing of the ramp next to her and ripped off a piece, falling back when it broke off. I took the pipe and smashed the tube open, letting her out. I went to Robert's and smashed his open. I did the same for Ian, then Dylan. I noticed our clothes in neat piles next to a desk. They must have thought we wouldn't fight or something, I thought, but I don't appreciate being kidnapped. I put my clothes on quickly, then tied my boots.
"Guys, our stuff is over here," I shouted. They walked over to the clothes and put them on. I took the pipe in my hands again, glaring at a guard that was pointing what I think was a machine gun. Robert turned around and saw the gun, groaning, "Aw.... You gotta be kiddin' me!" I rushed toward the guard, taking the pipe up like it were a baseball bat. He pointed his gun at me, pulling the trigger, shooting a dart at me. I jumped to the right and then forward, cracking him upside the head with the pipe. He shot once more, scraping my leg. I just gritted my teeth and smashed him in the balls. The guard held his jimmies for a few moments, giving me enough time to hit him in the side of the head again. He spun around, then fell over, dropping his gun. "Take his weapon, Ian," I said. Ian ran over to the gun, picking it up and putting the strap over his shoulder. Then he robbed the unconscious guard of his ammunition for the rifle.
We turned around just in time to see that two more guards were coming in. Ian took up his rifle and shot both guards right in the heart with what I now knew to be tranquilizers. Incase some retard is reading and doesn't know what tranquilizers do, it knocks them out, so obviously the guards fell over. This time, one of them had an actual pistol in his back pocket. "Robert, take the pistol. Dylan, take the rifles," I ordered. They both nodded, then took their weapons. "What about me," said Amber. "Find a map to this place on the computer," I said. Amber narrowed her eyes, a little annoyed she didn't have a weapon, I suppose, but walked over to the computer and brang up a map.
"Zack, take a look at this," she said. Another pair of guards came in, and I ran to the computer, ducking low so I didn't get hit. Robert and Dylan took out the guards, then Ian ran up to get the ammo, giving it to the other two. I looked at the floating map above the computer. This computer didn't have a monitor, but projected holograms. I stared at the map. This is a spaceship, I screamed in my mine, we're in space! "Guys! We're in space," I exclaimed. They took out three new guards that had just come in, then gapped at me. Ian and Dylan were the first ones to respond with actual words, "What the hell are you talking about!?" I pointed to the hologram of the ship, looking at them. Robert said, "Whaaaat!?" Ian just gapped at it, and Dylan went, "Holy shit!"
"OK, we need to get home... So, we'll try to take over the bridge. Follow me," I said, my voice a little shaky. "Alright," everyone said, although at different times. We all ran out of the room, taking a weapon with us, Dylan giving Amber a rifle as they left. We turned into a hallway that said "Bridge" and ran down it. We were cut off by a squad of soldiers, all equipped with the tranq rifles. Amber began shooting at them, but ran out of ammo before she could hit them. I handed her the pipe, then ran up to one of the guards, kicking him in the stomach. Robert shot the soldier next to me in the head, making him fall over. The soldier I had kicked was holding his stomach, sitting on one knee. I stepped on his knee, then his shoulder, and kicked him in the back of the neck, knocking him unconscious.
Ian and Dylan took out the other soldiers easily, seeing as how they always beat me at paintball games. We continued to run down the hall, then took a left, running into another squad of six. I groaned, looking at them in annoyance. "Why do they keep coming after us," Amber asked. "Uh, probably because we are taking their friends out," Robert said, tossing his rifle aside as he ran out of ammo just as he had taken out one of the soldiers. "Less talking, more fighting," said Dylan, firing a few rounds at the soldiers. Both Robert and I rushed at one of the soldiers, putting our shoulders out as we rammed into him at full speed. He flew into another soldier, knocking both of them over. I jumped on the one that had just been knocked over and sat on him, punching him in the face until he finally fell unconscious. I got up and held my hands, my arthritis killing me from attacking people. Robert simply kicked his soldier in the stomach until he stopped trying to get up. I turned around and saw a pistol pointed at my forehead, then the soldier holding it fall down. Behind him was Amber, holding the pipe I had given her.
I hugged her, "Thanks." She smiled and hugged me back. Ian smirked, "Hey, get a room if you're gonna have sex, we're on a battlefield." I glared at him and gave him the finger, then ran down the hall. We took a right, stopping at two large doors that were labeled "Bridge."
"OK, get ready.... One..... Two....... Three," I shouted, kicking the doors open. Ian and Dylan shot most of the guards. Amber rushed to hit one of them in the stomach, but got hit with a tranquilizer before she could attack. I gritted my teeth and rushed towards the soldier who had shot the rifle, jumping over the ramp, and spin-kicking him in the face, sending him spinning. I stood over him, stomping on his gut, "Don't you EVER, EVER ATTACK MY FRIEND!" Robert threw a soldier into a computer, which shocked the soldier as he broke the panels. The technicians got up and ran. I tried to wake Amber up, but it was no use. I heard someone laughing, then looked up. There stood a man and a woman, laughing. "We didn't expect you to make it this far," the woman said. She was dressed in a red, satin dress. She leaned against the man, who was dressed in a military uniform, and I could tell he was an officer by the number of ribbons on his jacket.
"Who the hell are you," shouted Dylan, pointing his rifle at them. Ian did the same, and Robert clenched his fists. "We're the commanders of this ship, the Ragnarok," said the man, "And we mean no harm..." "Well we do! You just can't kidnap us," shouted Ian. "Hold on, guys... Give them a chance to explain," I said. The three remaining conscious friends of mine looked at me, a little angry with my idea. "Are you nuts, they took us from our home, Zack," Robert said, glaring angrily at the commanders. "I know, but fighting until we all end up in those tubes won't help," I said. Ian and Dylan nodded, putting their rifles down. I walked up the ramps, followed by Robert, while Ian and Dylan watched over Amber.
"Alright, start talking," I said. "We took you from your home because we need someone to carry out a mission for us," the man said. "Why don't you just get one of your soldiers to do it for you," Robert asked. "Our soldiers aren't trained to go to different worlds.... You," he said, looking towards me, "and your friends seem to know it quite well." "So send someone else," Robert said. "Alright..... I'll make a deal with you.... If you keep a planet from being destroyed, I'll send you home," he said, smirking arrogantly. Apparently, he thought he could just push us around. "Fuck you. You aren't going to kidnap us, then try to blackmail us into saving some planet," Robert shouted. "Robert... This might be our only chance to get home.... Which planet," I asked the commander. He held up the strategy guide to Final Fantasy 7. Robert and I just gapped at it. "You mean..... You're going to send us THERE," I asked. The commander nodded, tossing the book to Robert, who caught it, still surprised. "Alright..... We'll do it..... But if you go back on your promise, I'll make sure I take this ship, along with everyone on it.... Including you," I said threateningly.
The commander chuckled, nodding. "Alright.... It's a deal..... By the way, you'll be calling me General Mac from now on...." He held out his hand for a hand-shake, and I took it, gripping in my hand firmly to know I wasn't kidding about the threat. We broke the hand-shake, looking at each other. "You're going to need training, however.... And it will start tomorrow morning..... You won't need to be sent to that planet for another five years," General Mac said. "You can't keep us from our families," Robert protested. I just put my hand on his shoulder, "Better to see them sometime then never again." Robert glared at me, looking like he wanted to strangle me, but he nodded. "Alright then.... These guards will take you to your rooms..... And try not to break anything else or cause a ruckus," General said.
All of us just glared at him as the guards led us out of the room. As soon as I was brought to my room, I went to sleep on my bed. I was asleep before my head hit the pillow.... Literally....
