Chapter 7: I am her Father
The next morning, I woke up to a really loud noise," What do you mean they're all taken!?"
I got up, without waking Max to see who was out there," Dad?!"
" Jira?!" said my father," I thought you were in Frelia!"
" I was until I was recruited to the UMTM headquarters," I told him," What are you doing here?"
" Well," he started," Your mother and I decided to come look for you, very slowly."
" What do you mean?" I asked him.
" Your mother and I decided to take you with us to safer place," he said.
" I don't understand what you're saying," I said.
" The place the UMTM is leading you to is not a safe place," he said," You remember the stories your mother and I told you of, right?"
" I remember," I said.
" Well, those creatures are now coming back to this world, many," he told me," You're going to be lead to a dangerous situation! There is far too many in Renias already. We will leave to Frelia. "
" It can't be!" I said," Or.... Maybe that creature that attacked me..." I said but then I noticed my father having wide eyes.
" What?!" he said he got me by the wrist," Jira, you're coming with us, immediately! You WILL be a lot safer with us."
" No, please wait! --" I was trying to explain to my father until I saw Max punch him in the face," What did you do?!"
" Wait," he said," Wasn't this guy abusing you?" he asked me.
" Are you blind?!" said my father as got up," I, Artur, am her father."
My father was staring at Max as he stood there silently. It was until I saw my mother go inside," What is going on here?" she asked," Did you tell Jira what we're doing here?"
My father nodded," Where were you?" I asked her.
" Getting supplies for later while your father was supposed to rent a room to relax in," she explained.
" In the morning," Max asked her.
" Yes, in the morning," she said," We haven't gotten sleep for 3 days. Just to look for Jira."
" Mom..." I said as I hugged her.
My mother went to Max and examined him for a while," Is this your partner?" asked my mom," He doesn't look THAT clever."
" Um, mom," I said," He's actually more smarter than you think."
" Oh yeah," she said," Then why doesn't he tell us you were with him?" If I know one thing, it’s that my mother can see anything in someone's eyes. And trust me, she's always right...
