Ch. 4

"Now Yuki, you know that is not my decision, Akito must be the one to decide that. Besides, I want her to stay as much as you do." Shigure said with a playful smirk. "Well I told Tohru you would show her her room. So be the little prince you are and escort the princess"

"Sometimes I have to wonder about you Shigure."

"Aww…you care for me Yuki. ^ ^"

"No, just how you act like a child"

"That's so cold." Shigure said while shivering ice growing from his nose and his skin blue.

"Get a hold of yourself Shigure". And with that said, Yuki walked back into the house and greeted Tohru with a smile picking her stuff up and began to direct her to the stairs.

"Your room is up these stairs Miss. Honda, come I will show you." Tohru has nodded and followed Yuki in awe, still excited for the fact she has a place to live and such great people helping her. After they both turned the corner at the stairs he directed her down the hall and stopped in front of a door located on the right two doors down. "This will be your room," He said as he opened the door.

"Oh wow, it's great!" Tohru said, smiling gleaming with joy. She quickly walked into the room and turned circles in the room happily. She ran over to the big window in her room and stepped out into the balcony; yes, it has a balcony. She looked out and stared marveling the view that was given to her. "This is so beautiful".

"I'm glad you like it Miss. Honda." He said as he placed the pack on the ground. She watched him and then ran to the pack slumping on the ground sitting and smiling taking her stuff out, setting them down on the floor.

"Oh Miss. Honda…I'm sorry to say, I could not find your mother, maybe she had ran out when things started to get messy."

While Yuki was talking Tohru had pulled out a picture of a young looking woman with light brown short hair and smiling a smile familiar to Tohru's

"No, she is here, see..."

"Mom, say hello to Yuki" she said smiling handing him the picture. "That's my mother."

He took the picture and examined it carefully, looking at the woman who is her "mother". "How can this be Mis…" Yuki stopped mid-sentence realizing the truth and looked at her with eyes a bit wide.

"She had passed away last year…"

While Yuki and Tohru were talking, Shigure was making his way up the stairs wondering what had happened to the young people. He noticed that the room that Tohru was in, the door was a bit cracked. As nosey as Shigure is, he decided to listen in on the conversation between the two.

" I was up late working, you see, we were not the richest of people, and we barely got by, so I worked, and so did my mother. Well uh … I was working in late, deciding if I can get extra money. And I came home very late, I passed out in my room, well I guess mother woke up and saw that I was sleeping, and she didn't want to disturb me. Later that day I woke up; it was about time for mother to be home seeing how the sky was. But it was raining, there had been a severe thunderstorm, and from what I had been told… she was electrocuted to death. Since then I have been on my own, and for you the Sohmas to take me in… I'm just so happy, I'm sure mother is very glad. Heh, aren't you mother?" she said while smiling a bit with a tear forming and hugging the picture of her mother.

" I'm so sorry Miss. Honda, I will go now." Yuki had gotten up and walked to the door opening it and then closing it stepping out into the hall turning to his left and walked to the stairs and stopped before he went down.

"Don't you ever mind your own business Shigure?"

"Yes and no, she is a unique one isn't she, for a princess she went through a lot. I must say I am impressed."

"She is a strong person Shigure, even though I may know how to fight and get some things down in life she is a better person than I. She didn't let her mothers death get to her when she knew she has to survive, she still believed in her and continued living for her and her mother. She has survival skills, I don't. I could have lived on in that house and continue my life, but I was an arrogant fool and decided to run away like a coward. Miss. Honda is a good person." And with that said, Yuki took a glance over to the dog and closed his eyes walking down stairs.

"Yuki…" He glanced over to Tohru's door and smiled "He's right." He too then made his way to the stairs and walked down the flight.

Tohru was still in her room going through her stuff, when about an hour later Shigure came barging in. " Oh Tohru! I have a gift for you!" He said smiling.

"What is it?" she replied smiling as well.

"I have gotten you a new bed! I can't have my princess get pruned by the hard floor, what kind of person would I be?" He said with a weird smirk.

"Oh thank you Shigure!" She said cheerfully taking the pallet and futon from Shigure and setting it on the floor where she had wanted it to be.

"What's this Shigure? A new pet? You old fool what are you doing, especially with a person like her." Said a voice out of nowhere. "You really have done it haven't you?"

"Um…done what?" asked Tohru shaking.

Suddenly a stranger dropped onto Tohru's balcony and stood straight up, covered by shadow, only thing visible was the person's grin.

"Why are you here?" asked Shigure.

"You know why, and I will have what I want, heheh" Said the figure still grinning and laughing, then quickly looks at Tohru his eyes burning of a red, frowning a bit he walks in toward the light revealing himself.

"It's….."
