CHAPTER 3: On the Road Again…

"We've been on the road for 2 hours Kyo! Where the HELL are we? Gimme that damn map!" Uo snatched the map and looked at what Shigure had drawn for them and gasped. She remembered telling Kyo she didn't care what kind of map it was but this was CRAP! The map had been drawn in crayon and 2 small figures had been drawn at the bottom riding a 2 seated bicycle. "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!!!" She screamed.

"We're still on the damn map you Yankee." Kyo countered. They were standing off to the side of the road and Kyo grabbed the box of snacks from his pack. "Look here. This is the road we're on and we still have a ways to go. We are NOT lost!" Kyo was so relaxed and had enjoyed the ride up the mountain after his body had relaxed and let his mind stray from sex.

"Here." Kyo offered the box of snacks from his pack to Uo. Sitting back on the grass next to Kyo, Uo grabbed a handful of snacks. "Why don't we just ride over to that cabin and see if the people that live there can make sense of this stupid map?" "Whatever…" was her only reply.

They sat together in companionable silence for a while as they finished their snack. Kyo sat up to hide the renewed aroused state of his body and turned to look at the clouds coming over the hills behind them. "Hey Uo. We'd better get a move on if we want to make it to that cabin before the storm hits. Look behind us the sky's turned nasty." It's not like we can still ride further with that storm almost on us. We'll just wait it out here and at least be dry."

Kyo was still smiling like the cat who caught the canary as he looked around. "Well I don't think I'll have to gather much wood since most of what's left of the furniture is still lying around. Why don't you go see how bad off those futons are, and I'll build us a fire. This storm may take a while to pass."

In a few short minutes Kyo and Uo were sitting side by side on a pile of dusty old rags that still tried to pose as futons and they had a nice warm little fire between them and the missing door. From their perch they watched the storm roll in and soon the rain was so thick outside that they couldn't even see the driveway in front of the house. Kyo fished around in his bag and pulled out the gum Shigure had given him. "Here? You want a piece?" He offered first to Uo who smiled at him and took one.
