Tohru stretched and took a deep breath of fresh air as she gathered the Sohma's laundry off the line. The weather was so great today. As she was bringing in the laundry, she caught a glimpse of Kyo training in the front yard. Shirtless. She blushed and told herself to stop looking but her eyes were rooted on his fit body. After a moment Kyo felt as though he was being watched and turned around to see if it was just him, but sure enough, he spotted Tohru staring. Kyo raised an eyebrow as she blushed furiously and took off into the house. "What was that all about?.." He wondered to himself, but shrugged it off a moment later and continued his training.

Tohru blushed madly and made a break for the house when Kyo turned and saw her staring at him. "Oh, he probably thinks I'm a total idiot." she thought to herself. Tohru wasn't sure why, but lately she was beginning to feel more and more awkward around Kyo. She'd blush just looking at him and although she tended to get embarrassed easily, she'd never gotten this flustered from just looking at him. She thought about this a moment and suddenly it dawned on her. She was beginning to develop a crush on Kyo! "No, that's impossible, it can't be!" she silently argued with herself. She wondered if her sudden feelings for him had anything to do with Yuki's leaving for part of the summer on a trip with the student council. She'd always thought of the two as just good friends, and sure she'd had moments with the both of them that had made her weak in the knees but she never thought she'd actually end up liking one of them... Her thoughts were interuppted as she heard the door slam and she turned and saw none other than Kyo saunter in. She blushed again and looked at the floor. He just looked at her and after a few seconds of awkward silence he asked what they'd be having for lunch. "I'm so sorry! I sort of spaced out and um, well, how about um, leek stew?" Kyo looked at her incrediously and yelled, "What the hell do you mean leek stew? You know I hate those damn things!" "Oh, right, sorry, I'm sorry. I guess I.. forgot." She bowed and a sweat bead appeared on the back of her head.

Just then, Shigure appeared in the doorway. "Kyo, what are you yelling at our precious flower for this time? I'm sorry Tohru, but I'm afraid you two are going to be stuck eating lunch without me today. I'm planning on eating out with Aya today. It's so nice out, why don't you two go out and have a picnic or something?" Kyo rolled his eyes at the thought of Shigure and Ayame. Tohru felt a little uneasy at first knowing that it was going to be just her and Kyo, but it was really nice out and a picnic did sound like a good idea. Kyo muttered "Whatever, call me when you figure it out." and headed for the roof. Tohru got started on making a bento box to take with them.

Kyo sighed as he lay on the roof, looking up at the clouds. Why was he being such an ass to her? She was just the same old Tohru so why was he treating her differently? But the more he thought about it, he realized that she wasn't the same, and neither was he. He couldn't figure out what it was at the moment but he figured it had something to do with that rat being gone. Kyo didn't mind Yuki's absence, but he didn't like the awkwardness he felt when he was with Tohru. It hadn't been there when Yuki left. The more he thought about it, the more frustrated he became. He was beginning to think maybe she was getting tired of him?.. Then another thought briefly entered his mind. What if it was the exact opposite? What if she was actually starting to like him? The thought excited him, in more ways than one but he dismissed the thought soon after, thinking that couldn't possibly be. "Why would someone like her like someone like me?" He admitted to himself a long time ago, after she'd seen his third form to be exact, that he liked her. Maybe even loved her...

Tohru hummed a little song as she sliced up the omelette she'd made and arranged it in the box along with the riceballs, soba noodles, and a few other tasty morsels. She'd even packed along a container of fresh strawberries from the "secret base". As she'd been washing the strawberries she briefly thought about how sensual it would be to be able to feed one of them to Kyo. As she let her thoughts wander, she was awakened by the sound of the tea kettle screeching. She shook her head and blushed slightly as she took the kettle off the stove and prepared the tea. "Sheesh, I blush just thinking about him.." she thought to herself.

After she'd gotten the food ready and stuck it in the fridge, she made her way to her room to pick out something to wear. She found herself switching her outfit several times before she finally decided on a sea green colored sundress. She decided to leave her hair down and ran a brush through it before she turned to leave. She stopped suddenly and glanced at the vanity Shigure had recently insisted on buying for her and picked up a bottle of pink strawberry lipgloss. Tohru didn't normally wear any makeup but she thought "Why not?" and in the back of her mind silently added, "Besides, I want to look good for him..." She dabbed a bit on her lips, checked herself in the mirror and then took off down the stairs. She nearly fell into Kyo, who was at the base of the stairs getting ready to go up. She blushed and bowed her head as she apologized. "Umm, I'm ready to go when you are Kyo."

Kyo nodded his response to her and told her he'd be just a minute as he ran to his room and quickly changed out of his sweaty clothes. He decided to dress somewhat nicely and even decided to put a little cologne on. As he was getting ready, his thoughts drifted to Tohru. She looked lovely today and the color of that dress brought out the green in her eyes. And it looked like she'd even put some lipgloss on. He wondered vaguely how it tasted... His thoughts ended abruptly as he heard Shigure knock on his door and enter without waiting for a response. "Kyo, I'm leaving now. My, you're looking pretty sharp today, what's the occasion?" he said teasingly. "It's none of your damned business you nosey dog!" he shouted. "Ok, ok. Anyway, I'm off. Take good care of Tohru!" he snickered as he quickly fled the room before Kyo could throw anything at him.

A few moments after Shigure had left, Kyo made his way down the stairs and looked into the kitchen, watching Tohru gather the bento box and a few other containers and a pitcher of iced tea into a basket. He smiled slightly as he watched her and began to realize just how much he cared for this girl who was nothing short of an angel. Suddenly she turned and saw him gazing at her with a soft smile on his face. As their eyes locked for that split second, a shiver was sent down both of their spines. It was his turn to blush and look away. As he did this, he mumbled something about getting a blanket and fled the room. He grabbed the blanket and headed back to the kitchen, not wasting a second for his mind to wander. He asked if everything was ready and she nodded. As they walked out the door and headed for a spot to eat they were silent, each lost in their own thoughts...

As they walked, Tohru wondered where they should stop to eat. That had completely slipped her mind when she'd been making the food... and fantasizing. She turned her attention to Kyo and admired him for a bit before she finally said in a timid voice, "Hey, Kyo.. Do you think we could find a spot on the Sohma property to eat so we don't have to walk all the way to the park with everything?" In the back of her mind she also realized that this way, they could be alone, but she decided to tell herself it was because she didn't want to carry everything that far.

Tohru's gaze on him hadn't gone unnoticed as Kyo blushed slightly and lowered his gaze to the ground. When he heard her soft question, he too realized that this would give them an opportunity to be alone. This sounded appealing to him and he told himself that maybe they could talk about why things had been so awkward between them, and maybe, just maybe he could express his feelings for her that he'd been keeping bottled up for so long. "Sure." He replied simply, and after a few more minutes of walking, they had walked into the forest and found a small clearing with a beautiful blooming cherry tree forming a sort of canopy over them. Tohru looked up and gasped, "Wow, this is gorgeous... How about here Kyo?" He just nodded, hoping she hadn't noticed how quiet he was being. He'd been contemplating telling her about his feelings for her and how he should go about doing it. He scanned the environment and thought ruefully, "This seems like the perfect place to do it though, that's for sure."

Kyo spread the blanket on the ground and as they sat, Tohru began taking out the containers and dishing out the food. She decided to keep the strawberries in the box for now, deciding to wait until dessert to get them out to help her keep from thinking about the things her and Kyo could do with them. As that thought briefly entered her mind while they were eating, she blushed slightly and Kyo glanced at her, wondering what had cause her to do that so randomly. He decided it better not to ask, and just admire her beauty while she wasn't paying attention. When they'd finished eating, they packed the food back up and sat side by side against the trunk of the cherry tree, deciding to bask in the sunlight and good weather. They'd been making small talk when suddenly she remembered the strawberries. She bent to grab the container and when she leaned back against the tree, a soft breeze blew and a few blossoms fell from the tree, one landing in Kyo's hair. Tohru laughed and reached for it, taking it out of his hair and running her fingers along the soft petals. Kyo reached for the flower and gently grasped her hands for a moment before he took the flower and positioned it behind her ear, tucking her hair behind it. "Beautiful..." He murmured, not realizing at first that he'd said it aloud, but when he saw her deep red blush, he knew and figured now was probably the best chance he'd ever get to tell her how he felt. Kyo slowly moved his hand from her hair to cup her face and he carressed her cheek with his thumb before speaking softly. "Tohru... I, I have something to tell you." But after he'd gotten those words out, his throat seemed to dry up and it was like he'd forgotten how to speak. So he did the only thing he could think of. He kissed her.

Tohru felt so at peace sitting there with Kyo on this lovely day, and she was glad the tension seemed to be slipping away, especially when the blossom had fallen in Kyo's hair. But after he'd held her hands and tucked that flower behind her ear, and even called her beautiful, the feelings came tumbling back, those feelings that scared her somewhat because they were so new to her and she didn't exactly know what it was. Could it be, love?.. And then when he'd cupped her face and said those words, ever so softly, and then kissed her, she knew the answer. She was in love with Kyo Sohma. Tohru also realized that Kyo had long surpressed feelings for her as well and knowing their feelings were mutual relieved her beyond belief. So much in fact, that feeling his lips upon hers felt completely natural. She surprised him when she slid her hands up and around his neck, leaning into the kiss as he gently parted her lips, his tongue exploring the dark, warm cavern of her sweet mouth.

"Tohru..." he whispered her name as he slowly moved his lips from hers and down to her neck, sucking gently. Tohru sighed with pleasure and leaned her head back to give him better access. Suddenly, she had an idea and pulled away. Kyo took this the wrong way and shook his head, coming back to reality as he apologized. He thought she'd wanted him to stop, but then he saw her open the container of strawberries. His eyes widened as he saw her slide her tongue across a strawberry and then held it out for him to take a bite. He didn't know what had caused Tohru to be so bold, but he definately liked it and took the strawberry into his mouth, flicking his tongue against her finger before chewing and swallowing the juicy morsel. He could feel himself hardening as he grabbed one and held it up to Tohru's lips, signaling her to take a bite as well. Hers was smaller and left some strawberry still in his hand. His thoughts turned devious as he slid the half eaten strawberry down her neck and tossing it aside, lapped up the juices. He smiled against her skin as she gasped at his actions. Suddenly, he stopped and his eyes turned serious. He asked, "Are you sure you want to do this?" and held his breath, relieved to see her shy nod.

He smiled as he grabbed her hand and lifted both of them to their feet, then placed a quick kiss on her nose before gliding his hands down her body until he reached the end of her dress and inched it upwards, kissing the flesh he exposed until it was lifted up and over her head. He merely stood there for a moment, drinking in her beauty before she blushed and said meekly, "Now it's my turn.." as she lifted his shirt up over his head and laid it on the ground. Tohru gaped at him and rose up on her toes to kiss him softly, before murmuring, "Beautiful..." and smiling up at him. This earned a deep blush from Kyo as he crushed his body to hers, reaching behind her to unclasp her bra. He groaned as her soft mounds were released from their confines and he was finally able to touch her bare flesh. He kneaded her breasts and rubbed his thumbs across her nipples, loving the gasps it earned from Tohru. She arched against him and as she did so, Kyo fastened his lips upon one of the hardened tips. Tohru moaned, and twined one hand through his hair, moving the other down his ribcage and to the button of his pants. She frantically undid them and slid them down. He smiled deviously before trailing soft kisses down her torso and hooked his fingers into the waistband of her delicate panties. He looked up at her questioningly, making sure this is what she wanted and was delighted to see the love and trust in her eyes. He slowly slid her panties down her legs and inhaled sharply at the scent and sight of her.

Tohru groaned as she unconciously arched her back and instantly had Kyo's mouth placing soft kisses on her most sensitive flesh. He slowly parted her folds and tentatively slid his tongue up and down her slick opening. She whimpered and grabbed at his hair, trying to get him deeper inside and this gave him the initiative to do just that. As he moved his tongue slowly in and out of her, her breathing grew ragged and Kyo realized he couldn't stand much more of this. He moved one finger inside her depths and slowly pumped it in and out of her. As he added another finger, he groaned and Tohru bit her lip and whispered, in between gasps, "Oh, Kyo.. I can't.. wait anymore.." and she did her best to pull him up and slide off his boxers. His mind reeled at the thought of what they were about to do and he quickly kicked them off. Tohru moved her hands down his body and caressed his manhood, sliding her fingers up and down it's length as she guided him to her core. As the tip of his hardness slid into her, they both gasped and Kyo whispered into her ear, "Tohru.. This is going to hurt you at first.. Are you absolutely sure?" She looked up at him with a hint of fear in her eyes, but boldly arched her back, causing him to slide further in as she whispered, "Yes, I'm sure Kyo.."

He lifted her up, pinning her against the tree and she wrapped her legs around his waist as he kissed her deeply, before jerking his hips forward, breaking the barrier. Kyo winced at Tohru's whimper of pain. He waited for her to give him a sign to continue and gasped as her aqua eyes locked onto his and she wrapped her arms around his neck and whispered "Please..." He then moved slowly into her depths and back out again, groaning out in pleasure as he gradually picked up the pace. Tohru's eyes began to glaze over in passion, but nevertheless, she kept them locked with Kyo's, moaning out as his thrusts sped up, until his hips were merely jerking forward. "Oh, Kyo..." she choked out, and suddenly her fingers tightly gripped his shoulders as she cried out his name, coming hard. Kyo groaned as he felt her walls tighten around him, staring into her eyes and just as he was ready to release, he whispered "Tohru... God, Tohru, I love you.." and moaned gruffly as he his body finally let go. He pumped into her a few more times, riding out his orgasm, his eyes never leaving hers and then he placed a soft kiss on her lips before slumping to the ground, holding her in his lap and resting his forehead on her shoulder. Tohru blinked in amazement at what he's said just a moment ago and she shyly lifted his chin and murmured, "I love you too, Kyo..", then placed a gentle kiss on his lips. His eyes filled with emotion as he crushed her to him, hugging her tightly.

After sitting there for a few minutes, embracing, the two got dressed and packed everything up, heading back to the house. They held hands along the way and spoke words of endearment, each of them glowing with happiness. Kyo wasn't going to run away anymore...
