Very short prologue, but I promise the next chapters will be longer!

The morning of the second term started out beautiful. The sky was blue, and the temperature was absolutely perfect. A sweater was needed outside, and nothing heavier. Though it was early, little kids were playing tag outside, not wanting to go to school. They wanted to enjoy the beautiful day.
They were so free. Doing whatever they wanted. They could grow up and enjoy life.
Everyone was so happy. It was such a perfect day.
But for a 16 year old boy named Kyou Sohma, it was horrid.
In exactly 6 months, he would be locked up at the Sohma main house for the rest of his life. The last cat had suffered the same fate as well. But the strange thing was, no one knew why he was locked up. Yes, the cat was considered an outsider in the zodiac, but why did he have to get locked up? Everyone just accepted it, because the present head of the family enforced it, and no one went against the Sohma head.
Kyou lay on the roof, waiting to go to school. But he didn’t even know why he even put in the effort. He was only going to get locked up. So why didn’t he just drop out of school?
Well, if he dropped out he would only get locked up earlier. But the question that was stuck in his mind was.
What was the point?
Why did he care if he got locked up earlier or not? It wouldn’t matter, it would all lead to the same thing.
And there was no possible way of getting out of it.
No way.
It was his fate, and no matter how painful if may be.
He had to accept it.
