Fruits Basket Fan Fiction ❯ Cat and Rat: Was it Meant To Be? ❯ The True Zodiac Story, and Kenji's diary ( Chapter 13 )
[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]
“So, it looks like Yui’s plan didn’t work. The disgusting cat, and rat still fell in love. He didn’t know how to punish well enough. If it were me, I would’ve done something /different/.” Akito said as he circled around Yuki, the way a tiger circled around it’s prey.
Yuki gripped onto his pants, shaking. No, how did Akito find out?! How did he know?!
“So hiding the true story of the Zodiac didn’t work?” Akito said as he sat next to Yuki.
“T...true story?” Yuki asked, turning his gaze as far away from Akito as possible. What true story? Was there something hidden?
Even within the walls of the Sohma house, there were still many secrets, dark hidden secrets.
“Yes dear Yuki, the true story.”
God told all the animals ‘I’m inviting you all to my banquet tomorrow, don’t be late’. Hearing that, the rat ran off to tell his neighbor, the cat about the banquet, but before he got there, he heard of the ox talking to the ram about how he would play a trick on the cat, and make a nuisance of him in front of God, and all the other animals. Hearing this, the rat scurried off to the cat, and lied to him about the banquet, keeping him safe. Sure, the cat wasn’t part of the banquet, and yes, the rat kept him from being the laughing stock of the zodiac...He protected him.
Yuki gasped.
“And do you know why Yuki?” Akito asked, waiting for Yuki to turn his full attention to him.
“It’s because, in reality...the rat loved the cat.”

Kyou coughed as he made his way through the attic. Two hours! He’s been in the attic for two hours looking for that ‘so-called’ diary with no luck.
And all the dust in the attic was making him sick. When was the last time someone was actually up here?
“Damnit!” Kyou yelled as he punched the floor harshly, causing a board to break in half, and revile a very dusty black book.
Kyou blinked as he picked it up and opened it. “Oh. Well, that was easy.”
Property of Kenji Sohma, current cat. 1970*
He flipped through the pages, reading the diary, taking in every detail of the entries.
And it was when he reached the middle of the book, that surprised him most.

Yuki was at a lose for words. So, technically, him and Kyou loving eachother wasn’t wrong? It was ok?!
Akito laughed.
“I don’t care if you love him Yuki, or if he loves you. As long as everyone goes on thinking that the rat and cat hate eachother, it is wrong to them. And there not going to find out about the true zodiac, right?” Akito whispered into Yuki’s ear.
“But no, I’m wrong right? You don’t love him. You hate him. Right Yuki? How could you love that disgusting creature? That outsider? That monster?” Akito stated.
“I,” Yuki clenched his fists. He wasn’t a little kid anymore, Akito was the head of the Sohma family, but that didn’t give him the right to know every detail, to deprive them of so much. To make their lives miserable? He had no right to do that, they were people, living beings. They should be able to make their own decisions.
For the first time in his life, Yuki stood up to Akito.
“No.” Yuki answered simply. Yes, he was scared, but thinking of Kyou gave him strength. He thought of how he felt when Kyou told him he loved him, how wonderful he felt. Kyou was his strength, his light, his everything.
“No? No what?” Akito raised an eyebrow. He sounded as though he was getting angry. How dare Yuki disobey him!
“No, you’re wrong. I do love him.” Yuki said, tiny bit’s of bravery consuming him. He didn’t want to deny it anymore! He loved Kyou!
“You ungrateful rat!” Akito yelled, and, in an instant he grasped Yuki by the collar, holding him a few inches away from the ground.
“Ak...Akito, please. I can’t breath.” Yuki struggled. Akito’s hold on his neck was to tight, he couldn’t breath! And it also seemed as though his asthma started to act up.
“No! Tell me! Tell me you hate him!” Akito yelled. Yuki was lying! He hated the cat, the rat hated the cat! That’s how it’s been for generations! Yui was the only one at fault!
“No.” Yuki answered, he tried to pull Akito’s hands away from his shirt.
“I’ll show you! I’ll show you!” Akito yelled as he threw Yuki onto the floor. Settling down on top of him.
“YUKI!” Kyou yelled as he burst into the room, he was holding the diary in his right hand. Yuki had to see it!
“K..Kyou, I’m sorry.” Yuki turned his head away, and Akito laughed and intertwined his fingers with Yuki’s.
“My my, if it isn’t the vengeful cat. So, you love /my/ Yuki do you? Will you still love him after you watch me fuck him!? I’ll force you to watch it!” Akito yelled as he held Yuki’s hands together above his head, while working on getting his shirt off.
“No! Stop it!” Kyou yelled. He didn’t want to see this, but his legs wouldn’t let him get away, they wouldn’t move to help Yuki, instead, his eyes were glued to the situation in front of him.
“Please, Shigure. Hurry up!” Kyou said to himself as he watched helplessly as Akito clawed at Yuki’s chest, leaving marks, and causing the boy to bleed. His other hand was covering the boy’s mouth and nose, he wasn’t able to breath. Although, all Akito wanted to do was stop him from yelling for help. He didn’t even realize Yuki was struggling to breath.
“Akito!” Shigure was now in the room, and made his way over to the clan head, literally tearing him away from Yuki.
Yuki closed his eyes and focused on his breathing, and ignoring all the blood running down his chest.
“Kyou, hurry up, get Yuki out of here.” Shigure said as he kept the struggling Akito at bay.
“Go ahead! Run! But remember Kyou, 5 months! FIVE MORE MONTHS.” Akito stop struggling, and Kyou brought Yuki out of the room.
“It’s ok. Shh, calm down. You have to breath Yuki.” Kyou held the boy in his arms.
Yuki leaned back into Kyou’s warmth, and focused on his breathing.
“Breath Yuki. Please breath.” Kyou said slowly. Was Yuki going to be ok?
Yuki closed his eyes and eventually, his breathing went to large puffs, to small gasps. He would be ok.
When Kyou knew for sure that Yuki was ok, he took out the diary he found earlier. Yuki /had/ to read it.
“Yuki, read this.” Kyou said as he handed the diary to Yuki. After a few moments, Yuki gasped and looked at Kyou.
The previous cat and rat......They were,
In love....

*Giggles* So now you finally know. Not exciting right? It’ll get better! I promise! So, how was this chapter? Depressing? Sad? How was my twist on the zodiac story? How was everything? Was it ok? *Get’s hit with a brick*
Sorry, sorry ^^;; too many questions!
Anyway, that was the end of part one. Which contained their struggling feelings, now that they found them, they need support. Which is what part two is about. The prologue of part two will be in Yuki’s POV.
Oh! And there will be a sequel to this fic! Although, I have two ideas for it...And I don’t know which one to choose ^^;; Oh well, I still have plenty of time.
As for people accepting their relationship, who do you think should accept it? I know for a fact Ayame will, but Kagura won’t, and Haru might not either. Hmm, speaking of Haru, heh... Kazuma should accept them right? Tell me what you think.
Now I must go work on my other stories ;_; argh! I have to many!
So, please review, and I’ll try to update ASAP.
