Cracked

“C’mon! Tohru!” giggled a young voice. “Hurry up! You’ll never catch me that way!” it taunted. Tohru smiled and laughed, running after Momiji, who squealed with delight.
The day was beautiful, the sun shone bright, occasionally blocked by one of the huge white puffy clouds that seemed to drift lazily in the sky. The air was fresh and clean, just right for outdoor enjoyment, and the birds seemed to be singing all the chords to nature’s praise. The green of the leaves seemed to shine in excitement, and all the colors of the flowers seemed to be throwing themselves into a brilliant display of natural color pallet.
Tohru finally caught up to Momiji on a turn he was making, and daintily tapped his shoulder. She loved to play with the children, but more often then not, she always was doing chores. Not that she minded chores, not in the least, but it was times like these that she truly treasured.
After cleaning the afternoon dishes and putting them back in their proper places on the shelf, she had sat down to do some much needed sewing. After a few stitches, her mind had wandered outside, and she stared out the sliding door, to the wonderful day , and to Haru, Kisa, and Momiji, who were stuck outside with nothing to do. ( Haru and Momiji had previously broken a lamp, so Suguri had ordered them all out) That’s when Yuki had entered the kitchen. He smiled when he saw the look on her face as she stared out the window, and the fact that she hadn’t even notice he had come in.
“Tohru, why don’t you go outside and enjoy the beautiful day? We don’t get many of these” he had suggested . Tohru jumped when his voice startled her out of her dreams. She blushed.
“Oh no no no!” She had protested. “I have so much sewing to do! I-” but Yuki had placed his fingertip on her lips, closing them. “The sewing will be here on a rainy day,” he chuckled “The sunshine won’t.” Tohru gave him a look as if to ask permission, as if to reassure her of her actions to come, Yuki just removed his finger, gave her a nod and a smile, and walked out.
So here she was, playing tag with Kisa and Momiji as Haru watched from the shade of the porch. This soon changed however, as Kisa was tagged my Momiji, and proceeded to tap Haru on the shoulder with a giggle. “I’m not playing!” He spat. He was too mature for tag. They looked like a bunch of idiots running around the backyard laughing and screeching.
“That’s because you’ll know you’ll lose!” Momiji taunted, sticking his tongue out. Haru glared.
“I’ll show you!” He said as he hopped of the porch, into the sunlight, and began to chase Momiji around the grass, at first in anger, but after seeing Kisa laugh and smile, his expression changed to a determination to win.

Hanajima sat in her room, legs crossed, in meditation. She began to receive a vision.
Tohru…it was fuzzy…. Tohru…. pain, anguish, de---
She snapped herself out of her vision. She had broken out in a cold sweat, and her lower back began to ache. Shaking, she picked herself up to go get some tea…maybe it was a bad vision…she would have to try again later…
