Kyou stared at Yuki, his eyes like two giant saucers. Yuki's shock rivaled his. I didn't know what to say. All I could do was stare wide-eyed with my mouth hanging open like a ditz.
“Well….sorry. I, uh…..should get going….” Yuki sputtered, turning bright red, and whipping around.
“Yuki-kun! Yuki-kun wait!” I cried before I knew what I was doing.
Yuki and Kyou both turned around and stared at me.
“Well, I mean….” I found it hard to talk under their intense gazes “I'm sorry Yuki. We- I mean I shouldn't have been so careless. I mean I wouldn't want to worry you…..and oh no-”
Yuki cut me off. “You don't have to explain yourself, Honda-san. I kind of knew this- I mean, well……It was about time, I guess.”
“WHAT!?”
I was so surprised that Kyou-kun and I had spoke at the same time that I almost laughed. But it didn't feel like the right time.
“Wait a minute….” Yuki began, his bewilderment painted across his face, “How did you hug? I mean, er….the curse….” His voice trailed off in confusion.
Me and Kyou exchanged nervous glances. The thing was, we really didn't know why. It happened so suddenly. I confessed my feelings to Kyou-kun, and after much false denial, Kyou admitted that he wanted to return my affection. The next thing I knew, I had thrown myself into his arms, and…….
Well, he just didn't transform.
I didn't know how to explain it, and even though I completely trusted Yuki-kun, something told me that revealing this “secret” would lead no where good.
Kyou-kun blushed and blurted, “You're delusional! I didn't touch her!”
Seeing Kyou, obviously lying, with his face redder than his hair, was the last straw.
I couldn't hold in my stress and mixed emotions any longer. Falling forward, I started laughing like a mental patient, only stopping to gasp for air.
“Watch it! You're gonna roll right off the roof! Hey! Are you listening to me!?” Kyou waved his arms as my hysterics continued.
“Uh, Honda-san…are you ok?” Yuki looked at me with genuine disturbance.
I laughed until tears came to my eyes. Then I realized I was crying for real. I was so scared, so frightened that someone would take Kyou away from me. I knew Yuki-kun meant no harm, yet for whatever reason I felt like a dark cloud was floating over my head. And no matter how hard I laughed, I couldn't shake it.
“Why are you crying!? What's wrong?!” Kyou and Yuki practically flew into a panic trying to comfort me.
“Nothing. I'm fine.” I lied, not wanting to worry them. I stood up abruptly and said, “I think I'll go to bed now.”
Then I made my way across the roof, while Yuki and Kyou gaped at me. I was almost out of sight, soon I could make a run for it when….
“AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!” I screamed as my feet slipped out from under me
