Akito stood up, a furious smile crossing his face. "You'll regret you ever did that, you bitch!" Akito shrieked at her. He was becoming unstable because of his fury at the moment, making him extremely dangerous. "I'll make sure you remember nothing of Kyo and Yuki EVER!"
Tohru flinched, but stood her ground. He couldn't make her forget anything. She'd refuse to co-operate. She'd rather kill Akito than risk losing all the memories and hardships she faced with Kyo and Yuki...Shigure...Momiji. She wanted to help Kyo, no matter what. And knowing how hard Kyo would be punished if she didn't stop Akito fueled her detirmination even more!
"Shut up, Akito! I refuse to have my memories stolen from me by you, or Haa-san!" Tohru yelled.
Akito scoffed, and ran up to her, striking her mid-section on the side. Then punched her hard in the stomach.
"AKITO! Stop it, dammit!" Yuki yelled, standing up. He rushed towards Tohru, but stopped as he saw Kyo back as a normal looking human, take her into his arms, shielding her from Akito. "I...believe you, Tohru. And...I...love you, too." He said emotionally.
Tohru blinked through tears and dirt in her eyes, and gave Kyo a watery smile, as she closed her eyes and fainted, lying limply in his arms.
Kyo leaned down to see her scratched, but still, stunningly beautiful face. He took her face in his hands and kissed her. Everything he was worrying about, everything around him disapeared. He looked at her face with a loving expression, but gently stroked her cheek.
Akito was fuming while Kyo was doing this. He whirled around and ran into the house.
Yuki watched Kyo kiss Tohru, and blinked in a stunned manner as he saw Akito running into the main house. What is he up to...? Has he gone to get Hatori-san? But for what reason... Yuki stood up, and started walking towards the house. When he entered it, he heard two people talking. Haa-san and Akito.
"Haa-san! Akito-san get out here!" Yuki yelled. He say Hatori step out of the shadows, but Akito was no where to be seen. Yuki didn't like the fact he couldn't see where Akito was, so he leaned up against the door so he couldn't be snuck up on. "Where is Akito-san? What were you two talking about?"
Hatori looked at Yuki hard before replying. "Akito-san wants me to erase Honda-sans memories..." He said, and avoided making eye contact with Yuki.
Yuki gasped. "You will not!" He yelled. Starting towards Hatori. "Don't you go near her if that's what you have the intention of doing! I won't allow it! Kyo-kun and Honda-san love each other and you can't take that away!"
Hatori sighed. "I...I can't defy Akito-san...His word really is law in this family, you know that,"
"Why is that!? Why can we not overcome him? You're older than him, Hatori-san! How is it that he can supress your authority? I hate it! Someone as evil as him doesn't even deserve to live!" Yuki cried, as he sank to his knees in defeat. It's lost...I remember...What Honda-san said to me when we first thought Akito-san wouldn't let her keep her memories...
"If I lose my memories, Sohma-kun, will you still be my friend?" He couldn't allow her to lose everything...
"Yuki, must you act so pathetic?" Akito's voice sounded. "Honestly, Honda-san really isn't that important, you know."
"Shut up, Akito, shut up!" Yuki yelled, he stood up and lunged at Akito, swinging his fist at him.
Akito was caught off guard, and Yuki's fist connected with the side of his face. Akito was pushed back onto the ground, and collided with chairs. He didn't move.
"Damn it, Yuki...You know Akito's sick..." Hatori said grimly, going over to Akito's side. "Who knows what he'll do to you."
"He won't do anything. If he tries, I'll run away. And I'll tell our secret to everyone I see, and let everyone at school hug me, and not care!"
Hatori sighed. "I'll talk about this with Akito-san. Don't bother me about it though. He may want to kill you, before he dies,"
Tohru woke up with a pounding headache, which got worse as she sat up. The room spun slightly, but she closed and opened her eyes and it was fine. She got out of bed and went to look for Yuki or Kyo...or Shigure...anyone.
"You're...awake," She heard someone say. She turned around and nearly fell over, but whoever it was that spoke ran quickly over to her and caught her.
She opened her eyes to see Kyo-kun's face very close to hers. She blushes furiously and uprighted herself. "Uh..yeh I'm awake, Kyo-kun." She said, avoiding his eyes. Why did he seem so nice to her? What had she said to him last night? She couldn't remember at all.
"Do you...remember what happened last night, Tohru?" Kyo asked her.
Tohru blinked. He had called her by just her name. Oh what had happened?! "Um...no, sorry Kyo-kun. Could you please refresh my memory? I'm so tired..."
Kyo smiled. "You told me...you loved me, not Akito-san," he said softly.
Tohru blinked as it all came rushing back into her mind. Her hitting Akito, Kyo's true form, telling him she loved him...She smiled to herself. He had kissed her, thinking she had passed out in his arms. But she had been awake.
She walked up to him, and rose her face to his. "I do love you, Kyo," She said happily. She kissed him with all her might, never wanting to stop. It felt so right. She was overjoyed. Everything was going perfectly.
"Tohru-kun, Akito-san has agreed not to erase your memories once again, but only because Yuki-kun threatens to tell everyone. Good old Yuki-kun," Shigure said in a light hearted tone. He was smiling to see Tohru was in perfect health, even if she was a bit tired looking. But she had gone through alot the previous night, and he was happy she wasn't mentally unstable because of it.
Tohru smiled. "Yuki...he stood up to Akito for me and Kyo?" She asked, surprised.
Shigure nodded. "Yes, Akito was very much surprised, Haa-san told me that Akito-san, after he met you, said to him that he wasn't worried about you knowing our secret, as long as Yuki-kun would no doubt come back to him. And Haa-san told me that as Akito said that, he knew that if there's someone that can cause that pain, someone can heal it...And he meant you, Tohru-kun. " Shigure said, smiling at her softly.
Tohru blushed lovingly. She never knew she caused such a difference in the Sohma family. It made her feel so happy and important. She was sure her mom was proud of her, for making so many people happy.
Tohru hugged Shigure happily. "I feel...so happy, Shigure-san! Thank you so much for telling me that...It's so nice!" She cried. And she was literally bubbling over with tears streaming down her face.
"Hey, Tohru, we need to get going for school...if you're up to it, that is," Kyo told her, walking into the room. "Eh..hey why are you crying?"
Tohru gave Kyo a huge smile. "I was just so happy, Kyo. And I'll be fine if I go to school, thank you.." She said.
And as Kyo and Tohru walked to school together, she knew deep down inside her heart that she had truly found her soulmate. After all, she had always loved the cat.
