“Kyo could you go wake up Emerald for dinner please?” Tohru asked him as she put plates on the table and then walked back into the kitchen to plate everything and get the tea ready.

 

Kyo looked around and sighed. Yuki had gone to his `base' to check on it and sending Shigure into a girls room…bad idea. He grumbled an answer and walked up stairs to the room that was normally Tohru's. He froze at the door…why was he worried about entering the room…He sighed and then knocked on the door. He didn't hear anything so he opened the door a little, she was still sleeping in the bed. He walked over to the side of the bed and looked at her. Her blond green hair was splayed over her face and her arms were curled around a teddy bear. He was intrigued by her cause he could be close to her…but why did it make a difference?

 

Cause he wanted closeness…he didn't know what it was like to be attracted to someone and be able to do something about it…He liked Tohru but he couldn't be close with her, and that damn rat liked her too. But with Emerald…he could be close with her and he wouldn't change.

 

She rolled over in her sleep and the bear fell on the ground. He picked it up and set it by the pillows. He touched her arm to shake her and he smiled a little, she was so soft even just touching her arm. He smiled and then realized he was still touching her and shook his head with a small growl. He shook her a little and said her name softly. “Emerald? Emerald get up. Dinner is ready.” He said as he shook her a little more. She groaned a little and curled up then let out a soft moan as she opened her eyes a little. “Teddy…” She said softly. Kyo grabbed the bear and held it infront of her. She grabbed it and smiled then opened her eyes a little more and say him and smiled. “Oh hi Kyo. Dinner's ready now huh?” she asked with a smile.

 

Kyo nodded and stood back. “I'll leave so you can get up and change if you need to.” He said as he started to walk away.

 

“Oh please actually I need some help. I was going to put the empty suitcase in the top part of the closet but I cant get it up there.” She said. She got out of bed and she was in a sports bra and some shorts. Kyo turned away feeling himself redden a little.

 

“Yeah…I can help you get it up there.” He said as he reached over and grabbed the suitcase. As he grabbed it in his hands she stopped him.

 

“Oh wait my shirt is stuck to it.” She said as she reached over and grabbed it. She pulled it on and it sat about 2 inches above the line of her shorts. He looked away and she opened the closet and he put it up. “Okies I'm ready.” She said as she pulled the covers up and walked over to the door as she tied up her hair.

 

Kyo had a flash back of the daydream he had had earlier and he froze and had to shake it out of his head. He followed her out of the room an closed the door.

 

“Oh I forgot my socks!” she said as she quickly turned around. She bumped right into Kyo and they fell over, Emerald landing on top of him. Kyo looked at her as she turned red, and felt his own face turn red. “Umm…Sorry…” She said with a small smile.

 

Kyo really liked this feeling…of having someone pressed against him. And her body felt really good against his body. She got up and opened the door and took off her socks. She closed the door and looked at Kyo, who was still lying on the ground. “Need a hand?” she asked. She reached out for his hand and after a second Kyo took it and she helped him up.

 

“Kyo! Emerald! Din-Din is ready!!” Shigure called up the stairs. She smiled at Kyo and turned to go down stairs.

 

“Come on Kyo, lets get going to dinner, I'm starved.” She said with a giggle as she went down the stairs.

 

Kyo let her get down the stairs some before sighing softly, “This is going to be an interesting year…” He said to him self before going down to dinner as well.
