Fruits Basket Fan Fiction ❯ Raped Love ❯ Reunion ( Chapter 7 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
Retaliation to Recent Flames: Recently I have gotten flames saying the same thing: rape is not a plot device. Tell that to the award winning author of the book Speak. And my friend, who has been raped, thinks this is a good fic. There IS a warning of rape in the summary. You don't want to read it, DON'T! And what about suicide in fics? It can be just as traumatic, if not more. But that doesn't make people go and flame the authors, calling them insensitive twits. So if you think I didn't take others into the consideration of this fic, you are greatly mistaken.
Authoress Note: I put this under self insertion because even though I don't live the life of the character, she resembles me in every other possible way. This would basically be me if my family was dead and I lived with an abusive and perverted cousin. Just don't get the idea that I have been raped or abused or anything. I live a pretty good life.I don't own Fruits Basket or any reference to anything that already exists. Please don't sue me. My computer is my most valuable possession, and it's a piece of crap.
Seven: Reunion
Savannah ran into the room and tackled/hugged Mimiru. "Omigod! I can't believe you're here! How did you get here?" asked Savannah, fast and loud.
"I dunno how I got here. I don't even know where 'here' is. I just remember going to your house you bring you your homework, and then your cousin grabbed me, pulled me in, questioned me, and punched me. My head hit the tv. And then I woke up, here."
"Omigod, are you ok? I am so sorry he hit you. I was here. That's why I missed school."
"You didn't make him hit me, It's not your fault. But...."
"But what?"
"It was really hard to find your house. Why are you guys so hidden?"
"My.... Um.... My cousin.... Erm.... Uh...."
"What's wrong?" asked Mimi.
"We...uh...just like our privacy, you know?"
"Whatever you say, Save. I was just curious."
"Yeah. Yeah, I know."
The Sohmas watched, going from interested to confused. Savannah was obviously nervous about something. Only Kyo knew what was wrong. But he wasn't going to hurt Savannah again. She already wasn't talking to him. And for some strange reason, he cared. He looked at the new girl, she looked confused to say the least. All of the sudden she sat on the floor. A collective blink from all of the Sohmas ensued. Savannah just sighed.
"Mimi, I think this is going to be a long day." Savannah shook her head, and sat next to her hugging her knees. The Sohmas were forgotten as both girls just sat there.
A few minutes later Mimiru was bouncing in circles around Hatori, who was losing his patience, while Savannah chased Kyo around, trying to hug him.
"I guess they were just resting," Shigure commented to Yuki and Haru.
Haru snapped and yelled at Mimi. "Gah! Shut up!"
Savannah and Mimi froze where they stood. "Sorry," they both murmered in unison. Both of the ousiders sad on the ground again, this time cross-legged.
"You know," said Hatori, "We're going to have to take Mimi to Akito sooner or later...."
"I know," Savannah said solemnly.
"Who's Akito?" asked Mimiru.
"He's the head of our family," said the bubbley Momiji.
"Shut up, you damn rabbit!" Kyo yelled at his younger cousin, preparing to give him another one of his angry noogies.
"Aw, don't do that!" said Mimiru. "He's just a kid."
"He's probably older than you," Kyo said.
"How old is he?!" asked Mimi.
"Sixteen."
"I'm seventeen, carrot top." Kyo's gaw dropped open. She seemed about fifteen. She was seventeen?! If Mimiru was that old, how old was Savannah? They looked about the same age.
"So.... So, how old does that make you?" the cat asked as he pointed to the original guest.
Savannah still wasn't talking to Kyo. She just looked at Mimi, who got the hint.
"Sixteen," said the newbie.
Kyo's eyes widened. Sixteen. Oh. My. God. And then he noticed that Savannah still wasn't talking to him. That, for some reason still unknown to him, really hurt. He wanted her to like him again. To be nice to him again. It hurt him that he was being ignored by someone that just a few days before had told him he was good looking. It just hurt.
I'm really sorry that this took so long. I've been very caught up with school. I'm seriously in danger of failing this grade, and my parents might just kill me.
