"i....i'm fine...i....i think....ugh..." he could hear puking sounds from within
Hatsuharu, however, wasn't buying it one bit, and he was more worried now than he had been before.
"I'm calling Hatori-san, whether you like it or not," he said, going downstairs to use the phone. he dialed the number to Hatori's house first, then listened as the phone rang.
:: Hatori ::
"...."
he had just finished lunch and wasn't in the mood for phone calls.
"hello? who is it?" he asked picking up the phone.
Not exactly the type of person to be speaking on the phone too often, Hatsuharu got straight to the point and told Hatori what was wrong with Kagura.
"So if it isn't any trouble for you, could you come to Kagura's and take a look at her?" He could only imagine what was going through Hatori's mind.
I don't even want to know... Hatori thought to himself before answering, "All right -- I'll stop by as soon as I can." with a sigh.
:: Kagura ::
"W...who was on the phone, Haru-san?" she asked walking out of the bathroom.
From downstairs, Haru answered, "Hatori's on his way over," knowing that probably wasn't what Kagura wanted to hear, but he had to take responsibility for what he had done during his 'Black' time.
"Ohhh...." she just looked up at him and hugged him "i feel bad...what's going on?" she was scared. just suddenly scared.
"I'm not so sure, Kagura," Haru answered, awkwardly putting one arm around you, "but I have the feeling that we're about to find out when Hatori gets here."
she nodded "ok..." she heard knocking on the door. "he's here..."
Hatori had drove over, not wanting to walk, and now he stood patiently on the front porch, waiting for someone to let him inside.
"The least you can do is go back to bed, Kagura," Haru said before heading downstairs; he opened the door and saw Hatori standing there, then turned and started walking back upstairs.
"She's upstairs," Hatsuharu told Hatori.
she nodded "ok. maybe if i lay down my stomache would calm down. it hurts" she said walking into the bedroom.
A couple of minutes after laying down on her bed, Hatsuharu came up the stairs with Hatori following close by; his eyes scanned the house for signs of foul-play, but found none and proceeded down the hall to Kagura's room.
she looked toward the door. "h...hi hatori..." she smiled slightly.
Without returning Kagura's smile, Hatori instead gave his usual greeting, followed by his typical professional question:
"What seems to be bothering you, Kagura?"
"i've been throwing up non-stop all morning...and some reason i keep switching emotions every 10 minutes" she said looking at him
"Hm..." Hatori walked over to the girl's bedside and bent down, lowering his bag to the floor next to him; rummaging through it, he took out a stethoscope, a glass thermometer, and the other tools that a doctor usually used for a typical checkup. He started with the thermometer. "Open up." he ordered, pointing the glass object towards her mouth.
she did what he told her to " i have also been eating strange things this morning for breakfast...and no fever..." she told him
"There is no fever, and your vitals are normal; however, I would recommend that you visit the hospital briefly for the chances of cancer and pregnancy," Hatori said, and Kagura winced slightly at the word 'pregnancy.'
"p....pregnancy?" she started stuttering.
"It's a possibility, Kagura; I'm not saying that's the diagnosis, which is why you'll need to go to the hospital and find out for yourself," Hatori answered, but mentally, he was puzzled about one small but important detail.
"Hatsuharu, what is your involvement in all of this that you're still here?" Hatori asked. Why do I have this strange suspicion..?
she nodded "a...alright. i see...i'll go this afternoon." she looked out the window.
As his question had gone unanswered by Hatsuharu, Hatori cleared his throat rather loudly, staring at him icily.
"Hatsuharu." he said loudly.
"i went...black...i never ment to do this" he said looking to the floor.
"You what?!" Hatori could feel his blood starting to boil within him as Hatsuharu told him all that had happened.
"And that's not even the worst part," he went on.
"I'm sure it isn't," Hatori said with a hint of sarcasm.
"isuzu walked in..." kagura said looking out the window.
Hatori put a hand to his head, in an I-don't-believe-this-actually-happened manner, before packing up his bag.
"Be sure you go within the month, Kagura." he instructed, standing. "And Hatsuharu, in your best interest, I would recommend trying to avoid these types of encounters in the future."
Without giving either one of them a chance to respond, Hatori walked out of Kagura's room and made his way downstairs and outside to his car, thinking,
Teenagers..!
"i'm going this afternoon..." she said staring out the window.she then looked at haru with dull eyes "you coming? if not i can....go by myself. but isuzu won't like it if you stayed with me. i mean...she is pregnant."she said looking up at him "i'm sorry...for all the trouble..." she said
"Rin's pregnant?" Haru repeated, lost in utter shock; the room became so silent that a pindrop could be heard hitting the ground.
she noded "she told me this morning. i went in the room when you left. she woke up"she said looking back out the window
With fear that Rin would also be pregnant with his child, Hatsuharu couldn't help but ask softly, "...whose is it?"
"yours....you are the only one she slept with. she isn't one to sleep around. i know isuzu."she said looking at him
You have no idea, Kagura, Haru thought to himself, thinking back on how he had seen Rin and Shigure kissing in the perv's room earlier, but still...the thought of having gotten two women pregnant nearly sickened him -- one of them he loved dearly, although she didn't have those kinds of feelings towards him anymore, and the other...a total accident.
A mistake.
One that he would now have to live with for the rest of his life.
"she still loves you...ya' know. she just refuses to admit it."she said laying down in the bed.
"No, she doesn't..." Haru said, walking to the door. "She's even told me to my face."
"she's hiding it. she's protecting you from someone. i have a sense about these things...it's pretty easy to figure out" she smiled sadly "but...my situation is beyond briken. it can't be fixed. yours can..."she looked at him
"Just forget it, Kagura," Haru said, leaving the girl alone in her room as he went downstairs and left Kagura's house.
she watched him leave and looked back to the window "it's...his choice."
It sure was Haru's choice, as he would then be wandering through the estate with hopes of making it back to his house...
If he didn't get lost, that is.
as soon as haru left kagura stood up and went to the hospital.
She arrived about half an hour later and, after walking inside, found the receptionist's desk and appoached casually.
The woman looked up from her work and waved Kagura over.
"May I help you?" the woman asked, her fine black hair shining directly below the light.
"Yes, uhm...I need to have a pregnancy test done?" Kagura said with timidity in her tone.
Hatsuharu, however, wasn't buying it one bit, and he was more worried now than he had been before.
