Twin Peril
It was the first day of their third year at Ningyou High School, (11th grade) and Felix and Felicity Hanake (16 yrs old) were no where near even “thinking” about being excited at returning.
But, at least, they were in the same class this year, along with their two best friends.
Now, Felix and Felicity were twins. (I know, surprising, right?)
Both had black hair coming to their mid-backs and amber eyes. Felix was 5’8” and Felicity was just about 5’7”. And both were Neko Youkai with Black tipped, gray ears and tails.
Their best friends, Konako Kojima and Kiyoko Hiroshima (16 yrs old as well), were animal youkai as well.
Konako was an Okami Youkai. He had silver hair to his shoulders, ice blue eyes, and black ears and tail, the left of which was pierced. He was 5’9”.
Kiyoko was a Kitsune Youkai. Kiyoko had white hair with black streaks that reached almost to his ass, bright green eyes, and had black tipped, white ears and tail. He was 5’8”.
“Hey, Look at the freaks!”
Felix and Felicity looked across the street (they were walking to school) to see a group of human boys pointing and laughing.
They chanted “freak” over and over.
“Look at their tails!” One of the boys shouted.
“Her kitty, kitty!” Another chimed in.
Felicity’s ear twitched in annoyance.
“Ignore them Felicity.” Felix warned.
“I’ll ignore them when they’re dead.” She growled, extending her claws.
As she moved to cross the street, Felix grabbed her arm and spun her around.
“Don’t.” He said sternly, “They are just humans. Ignorant, stupid, humans.”
“Fine.” Felicity muttered, retracting her claws and resuming her path towards the school.
“What’s wrong kitty, kitty? Don’t wanna play?” The group taunted.
“Hello boys.” Came a voice from behind the humans.
The owner of the voice placed a clawed hand on the nearest boys shoulder.
“Now, I KNOW better than this, but, it would seem you humans are “bothering” my friends over there.” The stranger said, Ice blue eyes flashing in the darkness of the shadow in which he stood.
There was a nervous clearing of the throat.
“W-well, you freaks are lucky today. We have to get to school.” said the leader of the group.
At this, the humans took off running.
“See you there!” Konako shouted behind them, stepping out of the shadows.
Konako burst out laughing at their cowardice.
He was still snickering as he crossed the street to catch up with Felix and Felicity, who waited patiently for him.
Well, Felix did anyway.
“Should have let me kill them.” Felicity huffed walking a good three feet ahead of Konako and Felix.
“It’s the first day of school, ’lici. You don’t need to be getting suspended for killing humans already this year.” Felix said, using his old childhood nickname for her.
Felicity rolled her eyes.
“It’s not fair, Onii-chan! They get to insult us like that and we just have to stand here and take it!” Felicity replied, whirling around to face them.
“We just have to ignore it.” Konako said, “We’re better than them, remember?”
Felicity sighed, shoving her hands in her pockets, and continuing her trek to school.
“Have you seen Kiyoko yet, Konako?” Felix asked.
“No,” He answered, “ He’s probably lurking somewhere stalking humans-OW!” A stick had hit him right between the eyes.
Laughter rang out from the tree.
“Who’s up there?!” Konako yelled furiously.
“Me.” Came a voice from up in the tree.
Then, Kiyoko’s upper body dropped from the tree, so that he hung upside down right in Konako’s face.
“AH!” Konako shouted, “DAMMIT KIYOKO!”
Kiyoko snickered, letting go of the tree with his legs and backflipping into a knealing position.
He stood up and leaned against the tree.
“I do not “stalk” humans, Konako.” Kiyoko said with a grin, “I merely observe their every move.”
Felicity laughed from up ahead of them.
“You’re such a show off, Kiyoko.” Konako replied.
“And I couldn’t be more proud of it.” Kiyoko said, a smirk plastered firmly to his face.
Felix’s ears twitched curiously, hearing a far off ringing noise.
“You hear that?” He asked.
“Hear what?” Konako asked, shooting Felix a worried glance.
“I don’t hear anything.” Kiyoko replied.
“Never mind then.”“Come on, we’re going to be late,” She sighed, “for school.”
“When are we “ever” on time?” Kiyoko asked.
“Good point.”
Well, hope you liked it.
Sorry it's so short!
It looked longer on paper.
