Twin Peril
So, as predicted, they were late for school.
They came strolling in at about 9:30 am.
(They had decided to stop by Mc Donald’s for a few cups o’ coffee and a good wholesome breakfast.)
(AN: Psh. Right.)
Now, before you readers get the wrong idea, I am NOT “putting down” the human race.
In fact, there were humans who accepted the animal demons.
But, It was just one family.
The Sohma’s.
And, of course, Tohru.
Ningyou High was just about half and half on Human and youkai occupants.
Not all youkai were human, some were elemental.
And not all humans were average and powerless.
Some had psychic abilities.
While others, namely the Sohma family, turned into animals of their zodiac year when weak or hugged by a member of the opposite sex.
But, back to the story.
It was sixth period now.
Math Class.
The other’s were already in class, but Felix was at least 15 minutes late.
He stopped at the door.
He really didn’t want to go to that class.
Felix made his decision, and silently sneaked out of the school.
His father wouldn’t ever let him hear the end of it, but, oh well.
He walked off campus and strolled down the street.
He walked down the streets, admiring the beautiful autumn leaves, as it was October. (Yes, school starts in October in A.R. Japan.)
He smiled slightly, continuing on his aimless stroll with no destination.
It had been a good hour or two since Felix had skipped out on school, so it was about 4:00 pm.
Felix had taken seat on a park bench and was watching little kids playing when someone sneaked up behind him.
“Decided to ditch, eh? That’s a first.” Came Konako’s voice from behind him.
Felix’s ear twitched in surprise as Konako jumped over the back of the bench and landed next to him.
“What’s wrong with you today? You seem out of it.” He said.
“Nothing.” He said, his tail swishing from side to side in amusement at the children’s games.
“You sure?”
“Yeah.”
They sat there for a few minutes in silence.
“How was math class?” Felix asked.
“Boring, uninteresting, got in trouble for falling asleep.” Konako replied.
A red ball rolled to Felix’s feet.
He picked it up and handed it to a small boy who came running after it.
The boy gazed up at him in awe.
Felix smiled at him, and the boy smiled back.
But soon, the boy’s mother came running over and ushered the boy away, casting nervous glances in Felix and Konako’s direction.
“Wait! Mommy! He was nice!” The little boy whined.
“They don’t trust us at all, Do they?” Konako smirked.
“Nope.”
“If you didn’t skip school, It wouldn’t be a problem!”
Felix turned around to see Hinko, the School Officer, standing behind them.
“Busted.” Konako said, grinning.
“Yep.”
They jumped up and took off.
Hinko gave a yell and ran after them, but soon lost them.
They finally stopped in front of Felix’s house, Felix knowing his father wouldn’t be home until, at least, 11:00 tonight.
Konako laughed.
“Humans are so slow.”
Felix fished for the house key in his pocket, pulling it out and opening the front door.
Felix walked in and headed straight for the kitchen.
“You comin’ in?” He yelled to Konako from the kitchen.
“Hell yes.” walking in a shutting the door behind him.

I know!
It’s short again.
T-T
I’m telling you, it looks longer on paper!
Don’t worry if the story is boring so far, it gets more interesting in the next chapter.
Well, at least I think so.
Review please!
