After third-term started, (Greed joined school during second-term), the sons of Vegeta and Goku took Matti in. Each liked her for a different reason. Even Pan and Bulla, both starting as freshmen, got close to the junior.
Goten pulled Matti aside after the bell rang. They walked down the hall together, mixing with groups of kids who were dying to leave the building. “Hey,
M-chan, I was wondering…” He glanced at his shoes for some assistance. “If you’d like to have a study thing at my house. With fourth-term finals and all, we have to study as much as possible, you know? My mother won’t mind if you come over. We can even go over to Trunks‘ place.”
Matti considered for a moment. “Well, I’ll just have to ask my brother. He needs to know what I’ll be doing…”
“Nothing much!” Goten exclaimed hurriedly, “I mean, your big, strong, tall brother doesn’t have to overreact.”
She shrugged. “He never really does. He just doesn’t like me out in the city very much. All we have is each other. Nobody else really understands us. It is as good as it can get.”
Feeling bad for the life style, Goten apologized. The two talked for a little longer, when Goten had to board his bus. “I’ll see you later. Remember; Friday at 5.” When he got his seat near the middle, he peeked out the window to wave good bye, then noticed that she was already gone. Realization suddenly told him that he had never seen her go on or off a school bus.

“Brother? Brother?” Greed placed her backpack on her desk. Exiting her bedroom, she called for her eldest sibling. “Brother? Where are-”
Raiju roared as she came down the hall.
Stopping, Greed knew that Envy was not far off from his pet. Hearing his unmistakable laughter behind her, she found she was right.
Envy walked passed her, patting his beast’s head. “What’s the matter? Going to ask dear older brother to beat up some bully for you?” he asked with a teasing smirk.
Greed shook her head. “No. I have to talk to him. I wont be coming home at the same time.” He looked at her curiously. “Friday….I’m going to a friend’s home.”
“What?! A human? What is wrong with you??” he sneered. “You are as soft as Pride and Wrath.”
“Back off Envy, you do not even know him!”
“He’s a male?!”
“What is going on here? Why are you arguing?” Both turned to see Knives, his hands folded behind his lower back. His aqua eyes gave each a hard look.
“She wants to go to a boy’s house Friday.” Envy answered, placing his hands on his hips.
“Envy!!” Greed hushed.
Knives crossed his arms over his chest, waiting for them to stay quiet. He owned his opinion on the matter, but always had the argument settle out before his final word was said.
Smirking, Envy turned to his brother. “You’re not really going to let her go, are you?” Greed glanced desperately up at him.
After a moment, Knives said, “You may do what you want, Gi-Gi, but you will be home at a reasonable hour. Understood?”
She nodded gratefully, saying thanks before leaving for her room. Shocked, her brother leered. “You’re going to allow her to blend in with humans? First it was with that pathetic teaching place, now this? Brother, if you let her attach to those creatures, then-” Knives fist came inches from his face.
The leader slowly lowered his arm. “Do not start a suggestion as if I have no idea what I am doing. Think your words over as if they depended on keeping you alive. Leave the girl to her business.” He patted Raiju, sensing the animal’s uneasiness. “I told you how things shall go around here, so I expect you not to change them to your liking. You are born from envy, not from greed. Or, is it the name that is taking over?” He gazed at him, not asking as a question. Turning on his heel, he ordered the boy to stay out of trouble.
Envy watched him leave. Gloved hands formed into fists. Electricity screamed off of the lion like Raiju from his lean body.
Wrath smiled happily as his hand splashed a toy submarine off the bath water surface. Wash cloth scrubbing his back, he giggled when it ran around his side.
Greed rubbed more soap in the white cloth. “Brother, stay still.” She muttered, taking his left arm to wash.
The little boy let her do the work, grinning as he continued to play.
Getting up, she rinsed the now dirty cloth under the bathroom sink. “Guess I should have given you a bath yesterday….” Kneeling back against the tub, she took a plastic cup and watered Wrath’s long raven-green hair.
“HEY!!” He snapped, shaking his head to get the water from his eyes.
“Your hair needs to be washed, so stay still.” She poured some shampoo on her hands and began to later his hair. “Your hair is thicker then mine, and you don’t take care of it. I at least have to wash yours, since you won’t.”
Wrath squeezed his eyes shut when more water rained on his head. After he was clean, Greed wrapped a towel around him. He took out his toy submarine and put it in the sink. Turning on the faucet, he rinsed the bubbles off. Feeling eyes on him, he glanced at Greed.
Greed hadn’t noticed she was looking at him so much, but he reminded her of somebody. “….You look a lot like Goten.” she mumbled, not realizing she spoke the words.
“Who?” he asked curiously.
Smiling, she answered. “You remind me of my friend, the one I told you about.”
“Oooh. Cool. Will I get to meet him?”
Catching the hopeful expression in his large blue eyes, she patted his damp head. “Sure. Someday I can take you to see him. Now get dressed and go to bed. I’m sure Kilala is waiting for you!”
Hearing the mention of his pet cat fox, Wrath began to dry himself off, voicing the things they were going to do before bedtime‘s arrival.
Leaving the bathroom, Greed went back to her room. She laid down and prepared for sleep to overtake her mind and body.

Nose to the ground, a large gray furred animal took in the secrets the surface of the dirt held. Lifting her head slightly, she gazed down the pathway ahead of her. Keeping her friend’s scent, her paws continued to walk.
‘I really hope this is the place….’ Searching again for Goten’s scent, she swayed her thin, six tails. ‘There is no way it cannot be. He’s everywhere here.’
Goten laughed at Trunks’ joke as he left the room to get the door. “Oh, hi
Matti-chan! Glad you could make it.” He stepped aside to let her in, closing the door. “Did you find my house ok?”
Matti nodded. “Yup. It wasn’t that difficult to find.”
Goten pulled Matti aside after the bell rang. They walked down the hall together, mixing with groups of kids who were dying to leave the building. “Hey,
