Arrival

“So are you prepared?” questioned Hawkeye, as she watched mustang pace his office with the folder that he had so dearly clung to for the past few days.
“How could I prepare for something like this I mean I’ve lived on my own for so long I can’t think of anyway that I could have possibly prepared for this.” Mustang replied snapping the folder shut and walking towards Hawkeye.
“Is it bad if have no idea how to do this?” he asked, his eyes pleading for assistance. Hawkeye shocked that someone with as much self confidence as Roy Mustang would ask such a question. And Hawkeye definitely like the side of Roy that showed his need for her advice. She took advantage of this vulnerability he displayed.
“Well I think the most important thing right now is that she gets here and is able to settle in” Hawkeye told the desperate man. Then something popped in her head.
“You do have food in your apartment right?” Hawkeye questioned him raising an eyebrow it had just now occurred to her that Mustang was most likely to have no food in his home for the obvious fact that he never had to on account that he was out on a date almost every night.
“Of course I do” Mustang said turning around then quickly spinning back around this time with a horrified look on his face. Hawkeye assumed that she was right about him having no food then turned to the phone on the desk, and dialed a number, as Mustang plopped down on the couch and put a hand over his eyes.
“Hello? Yes, could I have somebody send some groceries to Apartment 127 in Hollowed Hills? The basics food personal necessities, the whole package. Yes sir. Thank you” Hawkeye then hung up the phone and looked over at Mustang and was disturbed to see a usually lax man under so much stress over something that would freak most people but not him out. She looked at him for a while then turned to the window when she heard the roar of an engine making its way down the drive passage of the building. Mustang must have heard it too because he jumped up form his spot and dashed to the window as the girl stepped from the car.
“Sir” Hawkeye addressed Mustang turning to him as he straightened his back and began walking towards the door of his office. She followed him in silence making their way down the hallways to meet the girl.“Don’t worry Mary he is a nice man and he has a room with its own bathroom for you in his apartment and has already made arrangements for you to go to a school while you are here” a pressed woman ensured the young girl as they saw Mustang and Hawkeye descend the steps.
“I wasn’t worrying about that” Mary replied mesmerized by the sight of the man she once knew so well pacing down the steps. She barely noticed that he was right in front of her when he was until he said“Mary you’re not the little girl I remember” Mustang said with a faint smile.
“I have grown up a little since we last saw each other Mustang” she replied with the same smile.
“Please call me Roy” he insisted, picking up her suitcase and turning to Hawkeye who was staring at the girl. He knew that she had been taken aback by the you girls' resemblance to the old friend that Hawkeye had also known well.
“This is Hawkeye my aid.” Mustang claimed motioning to Hawkeye. As he ascended up the steps with Mary's things in hand.
“Nice to meet you Mary” Hawkeye greeted her with a small smile. Shaking her hand.
“Nice to meet you too” Mary replied with an even bigger smile.
“Well Mary if you need anything at all you have my number. Right?” the woman asked as she retreated back the vehicle.
“Yes maam” Mary replied not looking back. But looking up at Mustang who to her seemed a little worried about something. She then focused her attention on the vast building that she had come upon.
“Mary whenever you get the chance could I have her number?” Mustang asked stopping at the top of the steps allowing Mary to catch up with him.
“Well I don't have it” Mary said still staring at the building that lay ahead of her.
