((Chapter 7))
"What the hell!" Roy slammed his fist down on his desk. Someone else was dead but the problem was, it was here in Central and it was just like the others from Crimson City. Here in Central!
"Falman, where was she found?" That was only part of what pissed him off. The other part was that the woman who had been found was one of there officers. She had been transferred here a few days before before she was going to be sent back, there wasn't many women here, only Hawkeye, Ross and Sheska.
"In a backtown ally. Its just like it was in Crimson City, Sir."
"So, he followed us here. He knew we were there, dammit." Roy muttered. "He followed us here. God dammit!" He grabbed his coat and threw it on. "Alright. I'm going. You go back to the house of the civilian who found her and clear up any loose ends. Tell Hawkeye and give her directions and if she asks why, tell her I said for her to be there."

"I was walking by and I noticed something on the ground...I saw bullets and then blood...so much blood." The oldman whispered, trailing off. "It scared the bageezes out of me. She was almost literally torn apart. Poor girl and then I knew she was military because of what she was wearing and I called you people..."
Riza nodded. "Is that all?"
He nodded.
"Thank you for your help. We really appreciate it." She left him with Falman to be lead away. She walked back down the ally to Roy.
"Did he say anything useful?" Roy was haunched down and he was very agitated, that was how he was lately.
"Nothing that would be of any help, Sir." The woman was almost unreconizable. Almost.
Riza leaned down beside him, casting a sad glance at the body. It made her want to be sick.
She dropped the bag of bullets into his hands. "She did try to stop him, that much is clear. She shot him at least twice. Two of these bullets are covered in blood. It could be his blood."
"Not very thoughtful of him to leave these where they would be so easily found." Roy muttered. "If we're right and this blood is his, then perhaps they can find a match once they scan it." Roy motioned with a flick of his hand toward the smiley face in front of them. "Hes toying with us. Hes sick in his head. He followed us here, knowing we wouldn't know. UNTIL THIS. And then took out one of our own..."
"Theres nothing else we can do here, Sir. Come on." They both turned away as the body was being carried away. It was sad to look at. The wholes in the back of her knees, the deep cuts all over her body.
Something on the ground under the body made Roy stop. He frowned and took a step closer, not kneeling down until the ones carrying her body away were out of the ally.
Riza turned as well. What was he doing? And then she saw it.
"A transmutation circle." She whispered dully.
"Yes...the fucking bastard." Roy cursed under his breath. Why was this here? Had he left it purposefully? WHY?
"He over did it a bit this time." Riza closed her eyes and took a small breath. He was toying with them and that made it all the worse. He knew Alchemy, they knew for sure now but why this? Why did he leave the circle there?
Falman came up to them and kneeled down. "Sir, I think its best to destroy evidence...that he might be using Alchemy. We don't need this getting out." Roy nodded. Falman was right on that one.
"Wait." Riza pulled out a latex clove from her pocket. "Don't you both know that he used his finger to do this?" Meaning, they could have more than enough evidence to know who had done this.
"I didn't think of that..." Roy mumured.
Riza didn't put the glove on, she just pressed one of the fingertips of it against the finger print where he had stopped drawing the circle.
The circle sparked, electricity sizzled and flew up her arm. Her arm went numb and Roy jerked her arm away as the glove dissolved. Her fingers jerked and she shook her hand. A drop of blood pooled on her finger. "Dammit." She whispered, jerking her hand away and stuck her finger in her mouth. That had hurt.
The circle dissolved as well as Roy snapped his fingers, flames dancing over it. "What the hell was that? Are you alright Hawkeye?" Roy pulled her hand back, looking at it but the only part that was hurt was that one finger.
"I'm fine." Feeling was coming back into her arm slowly and she shook it. "That was...I don't know."
Falman sighed. Sadly, none of them had reconized the markings on the circle so there wasn't any help in that area either.
"Whatever it was, he did it on purpose." Roy muttered, they'd never seen anything like that.
"Falman, if you find anything new, report at once."
"Yes Sir." He saluted and walked away.
"Your sure your alright?"
"I'm fine." Riza said again.
Roy nodded and they both got back up.
"Theres one other thing. Did you notice the side walk? There were spots of blood, as if he were chasing her... I don't think she was that far from HQ." Roy rubbed the back of his neck. This man was beginning to be a pain.
"Your right..." He smiled. "What would we do without you, Hawkeye?"
"You won't have to worry about that, Sir." She smiled, her smiles were coming more easy now and more often.
When they reached the car Roy opened the door and followed her in. "Drive." He ordered the driver.
They were quiet for a while before Roy spoke. "If he followed us here, its possible he might have thought that we didn't know. That we we're catching on to him."
Riza saw the dark look on his face, he was deep in thought. And sometimes that wasn't good.
"You and Ross, besides Sheska, are the only female officers in this part of the military. Out of all the women in Central he choose once of our own and it might not be the last. I don't want you or Ross going out at night, at least alone. Not until this is settled."
Riza was quiet for a moment. "Sir...-"
"I wasn't ASKING you to do it, Riza." He rarely called her by her first name. "That was a direct order."
She sighed. "Yes Sir."
"Don't harbor any harsh feelings about it. Please. I'm not going to lose anyone else to the likes of him. I CAN'T..." If he could help it. He paused as the car slowed to a stop befor HQ. "I'm not willing to lose you to the likes of him."
