((Chapter 13))
"Why is it, that we are all off for the rest of the week?" Havoc looked around, looking pointedly at Roy.
"Sadly, I cannot answer that one because I don't know. But why complain?" Roy frowned at Heymans. "Why are you so scared of the little dog?" They just didn't understand him, whenever Black Hayate, or any dog for that matter, no matter what its size, Heymans was terrified. It was almost rediculas sometimes.
"Little? Little? That THING is not little...and hes dangerous! Thats reason enough to be scared!" Havoc rolled his eyes. There was just no use hope of Heymans ever growing out of that fear.
"To bad Hawkeye has to work...she has a pool that we could go swimming in if she wasn't working." Both Havoc and Breda looked at Roy.
"What?"
"You DO have the right to give her the rest of the week off if you want." They were all thinking along the same line now.
"Sure, why don't I just give Fuery and Falman the rest of the week off as well." He said it mockingly because he wasn't really considering it.
Havoc and Breda, on the other hand, were. "Do that to. It will just our little...gang. And besides, she could use some time off as well."
"I thought you had already left." Riza didn't look behind her as she let off three rounds of bullets.
Roy shrugged. "I stayed here for a while." This was just great. He was going to tell her that she had the rest of the week off, when she was practicing shooting. God only knew what she would do to him if she really knew why, part of it was a truthful reason, she needed some time off as well.
"Is there something you needed?" She asked when he didn't speak.
"Actually there was. I'm giving you the rest of the week off."
She paused for a moment before she lowered her gun. "Sir...I can't do that." She could and she knew it but this wasn't one of her times off, not that she wouldn't mind.
"Sure you can. You could use the break." She did work harder than some of them at times and on top of that, she had gotten herself hurt.
Riza had to agree with him there, she did need that break and she wanted it. After all, she did do more work than them at times, even though they did there share of work. "Thank you." It didn't occur to her that the others were off as well.
Roy looked at the stack of papers on the table behind her. "None of those are for me, are they?"
Riza smiled and lifted the handgun again. "Not this time."
Lust stared down at the darkness from the ledge of the building, her legs tangling over the edge. "Why did you do it?" She whispered. How was it that her plans had gone so well and so wrong at the same time. One moment he'd had only a few of his memories and then he had them ALL.
She understood all too well. When your dead, when you died, you were meant to stay dead. Even with his memories he hadn't hated her, he had only asked her to return him. And she had, no one would know he had been alive for that small amount of time, but he had lived to his most.
But it made her wonder. "When your dead, your supposed to be dead..." Stay dead. It made her wonder on her own life. People had there own beliefs and she wanted life but still the thought wouldn't go away.
Were those who died meant to live again?
Hughes had said he didn't belong in this world anymore, did she?
