Al waited outside for his brother. It had been two days since Lilly's death and Ed has spoken to no one nor came out of his room. He had been sitting at his desk writing new pages in his book. Al had watched him and tryed to get him out, but Ed never moved. Yesterday he told Al that he would bring his body back. That's why Al was waiting for him. Everyone had gathered outside and was prepared to help if something went wrong.

Ed walked out into the afternoon sun. Winry stared at him as he stumbled to the transmution circle Al had made. Ed looked pale and tired. He looked sick. His eyes were puffy and red from crying, and as he walked, small tears fell from his cheeks. Winry's heart broke at the sight of him. I caused this. It's all my fault. Ed gave Al the Philosopher Stone and instructed him to get into the middle of the transmution circle. Ed moved to the edge and claped his hands.

"Are you ready Al?" Ed's weak voice had asked.

Al had tryed many times to tell Ed to wait untill he was feeling better to use the stone, but Ed refussed and told Al he had to do this. Al knew he couldn't argue because he didn't want Ed to be upset worse than he already was. It hurt Al to see him this way.

"Yes, Brother."

Ed wasted no time. He claped his hands and placed them on the circle. A blinding white light flashed at everyone. Al's screams could be heard and Ed panicked, but he kept going. The light faded along with Al's screams and Ed hit the ground from exhaustion. Mustang, Winry, Hawkeye, and others, ran to them. Ed and Al were both lifted up and carryed inside. Al was in his human body again, looking like he was 15. Ed still looked the same. His arm and leg still missing.

< br> The next few days Al tryed every food, touched everything, and smelt whatever could be smelt. He felt bad that he was half way happy and his brother wasn't. Ed refussed to use the stone on himself, but never told anyone why. Al still was hurting over Lilly, too, but he knew he would never hurt as much as Ed. Ed sat at his desk and locked the door, shuting out everyone including Al. Al had to get another room. Winry watched Ed from a far and cryed just as much as he did. Ed had caught her crying more than once when she thought no one was looking. Ed wandered why she was crying since she didn't know Lilly that much. But he left her alone and went back to his room. He sat at his desk writing and holding Lilly's precious necklace and bear. The Philosopher Stone sat on the desk as Ed wrote. He barly ate and barly left. No one knew what he was working on, but some had clues.

Winry walked by Ed's door and heard his sobbing. She placed her hand on it and looked down. He crys for her. I made him this way. I can't keep going on and hidding my secret. I have to tell him, even if it means I will lose him as a friend. I can't live with this guilt anymore. Winry knocked on Ed's door. No answer. She tryed again. No answer.

"Edward, I know you want to be alone, but I have something I have to tell you. It's very important." Winry said.

Ed got up from his desk and wiped his eyes. He slowly walked to the door and opened it. Winry saw the pain and saddness that he carryed and began to cry. Ed looked away knowing that she was crying for him.

"Winry, I haven't got time...."

"I have to tell you somthing, Ed." Winry pleaded through her tears.

Ed let her in and closed the door behind her. Winry walked to Ed's bed and sat down. Ed went to his desk and picked but Lilly's bear. He sat down and put the bear on the desk in front of him and on the paper he was writing on.

"What is it, Winry?" Ed's weak voice asked.

"It's about Lilly's death..."

"I don't want to talk about..." Ed said cutting her off and looking away.

"It's my fault, Ed." Winry cryed.

"What?" Ed looked at her. He could tell she was in alot of pain and her tears were heavy. "Are you talking about how she saved you, because she did it to...."

"No. Ed, I made a deal with Lust." Winry looked away.

"What do you mean?" Ed asked as he went cold and stiff.

"I made a deal with Lust. She gave me the braclet and I fixed it to Lilly's new powers. I put in on her while she slept." Ed stood up. "I didn't want anyone to get hurt. It was part of the deal that Lilly wouldn't get hurt. All that was suppost happen was Lilly was to be taken away and used to make them human then they were going to let her go. I asked them to take her far away from here so I could be with you. It wasn't suppost to be this way. I was just jealous and wanted you. I didn't want anything to happen to her." Ed turned pale and cold. His eyes watered on their own and looked shocked. He didn't know what to feel. "I'm so sorry, Ed. I..."

"Get out." Ed said ina low voice.

Winry looked but at him. Tears ran from both of their eyes. It was hard to tell who hurt more.

"GET OUT!!!" Ed screamed when she didn't move.

Winry got up and ran out. Ed ran to the door and slamed it. Everyone had came into the hallway when they heard Ed yell. They watched Winry run out and into her room. Ed looked out the window and watched the rain fall. He had been betrayed by his best friend and he let the only person he had ever loved, slip through his fingers. He grabed Lilly's necklace and looked at it. I will bring you back. I will get you back.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------

Al had ran after Winry and into her room. He watched her pack and tryed to get her to talk to him. Everyoe had gathered outside Winrys door to listen in. Winry's sobbs and Al's pleads were all that was heard untill Winry finally began to yell out her secret. Al stood in horror as she spoke and everyone outside went pale with saddness. As Winry finish packing and her long confession, she grabed her bags and ran out. Everyone outside had cleared away as she ran. Al ran out after her.

"Winry! Wait! It's ok! Don't leave! Winnnrrrryyyy!" Al yelled.

---------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------

Al watched everyone distant themselves from everyone else. He wanted to tell everyone that it would be ok, but he wasn't sure if everything was ok. Lilly wouldn't want everyone to be this way. She would want them to smile not fall apart. What do I do? I can't be strong for everyone. I wish Lilly was here to tell them something to cheer them up.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------

The next few days, Ed worked at his desk. After two full weeks since Lilly's death, Ed had finally finished his work. He ran out his room and to the stone balcony. Some saw him running with his book, the Philosophe Stone, and Lilly's bear in his hands, and rushed to tell others. Soon everyone had gathered outside on the balcony along with Al, Mustang, and Hawkeye. They watched Ed quietly draw a transmution cirlce like no one else was around.

"Ed you can't bring her back! You'll lose your life if you try to bring back the dead again!" Mustang yelled.

He had known all along what Ed was working on. Al looked from Ed to Mustang then back to Ed. He's going to try and bring her back? He can't do it alone! I have to help! Al rushed to Ed and got on his knees beside him. Ed placed the Philosopher Stone, the bear, and his necklace in the middle of the cirlce.

"I have to do this on my own, Al. I can't risk your life again." Ed mumbled to Al.

"I want to help."

"I don't care. This is my work and I don't want you involved. Go back with Mustang and Hawkeye." Ed said clapping his hands.

"Borther..."

Hawkeye grabed Al's shoulder and pulled him up and back. Al reached for Ed but Ed ignored him. Sorry, Al. I can't risk your life again. I have to do this on my own. Ed placed his hands on the circle and screamed. Different colors of Alchemic power went all around him.

"No! Brother!" Al yelled.

Hawkeye held Al close to her and let him cry on her. She gently stroked his blondish brown hair and looked away from Ed. Mustang watched with a serous face. I cant do anything to help him. He's on his own.

Ed's body disappeared and Al screamed. The Alchemic power never left.

"Ed is still there! Other wise the power wuld be gone!" Mustang yelled.

---------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------

Ed opened his eyes. He looked around and noticed nothing but whiteness. He walked forward and reach up to see if he had the necklace on. He did. He walked on and tryed to figure out where he was at. He came upon a figure in the white fog. He ran faster as he tryed to make out the figure. It has it's back turned to Ed and had long hair like Lilly's. Ed's pace quickened as he came towards it. He stoped a few inches behind it. The figure slowly turned around.

"Lilly..." Ed whispered.

Lilly was totally naked, but the white fog covered everything. She looked at Ed with confussion. She was holding the bear.

------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------

Musta ng picked up Ed's note book. It was in code.

"Al, can you read this?" He called to Al as the Alchemic power swirled around the circle.

Al walked over to him and peered at the book.

"The necklace is her source of power, the bear will be her way home to find me, the stone will give her a body and her lost soul. She will find the bear then come home. She will come home to me." Al said as he read the last three lines. "The other stuff is explaining everything he will do and everything he kows about her."

"Ed has thought really hard about this. Let's just hope he will be ok."

------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------

"Is this mine?" Lilly asked. "I found it all alone. I didn't want to leave it behind."

"Yes, it's yours, Lilly."

"Lilly? Yes, that is my name, isn't it? You...you look sad. I have seen you before. Have we meet?" Lilly asked with no expression.

"Lilly, I've come to take you home." Ed said holding out his hand.

"Home? But I am home." Lilly stated.

"No, you are lost. I've found you."

"I remember you. You were my...my..."

"Lilly, come home."

Lilly looked at him. She droped the bear and flew into his arms. Ed wraped his arms around her and pulled her close.

I'll never leave you again. I will always be here for you.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------

Al stared at the circle. It had been two hours and Ed had not come back. Al watched the swirling lights swarm around the circle. Ed, where did you go?

The colorful lights began to swarm around the spot where Ed use to be.

"Mustang look!" Al pointed.

Ed's body came into view just as he left. The lights vanished and Al ran to Ed.

"Al..."

"Bother! Are you ok?" Al said helping him up.

"Yea, never better."

Al smiled but then looked to the middle of the circle. Al pointed to it. Ed moved his head to see. There lied Lilly with her hair covering her breast and her body curled into a small ball. Ed walked up to her and placed his jacket over her body. Everyone gathered around him.

"I told you I would bring her back, Al." Ed said and smiled for the first time in weeks.

Ed carefully picked up Lilly and looked down at he ground. The Philosopher Stone was gone and the bear layed on the spot were Lilly was. The necklace was on him.

"Brother, look at you leg." Al pointed.

Ed's pant's leg was torn to pieces and he had his human leg back. He glanced at his arm. It was still auto mail. He smiled. Lilly gave me a present. Maybe she wasn't stong enough to make my arm real, but having her back is enough. Al picked up Lilly's bear and followed Ed inside.

If it is confussing, I'm sorry. I tryed my best.
